Care Cost Prediction Model for Orphanage Organizations in Saudi Arabia

  • Care services are a significant asset in human life. Care in its overall nature focuses on human needs and covers several aspects such as health care, homes, personal care, and education. In fact, care deals with many dimensions: physical, psychological, and social interconnections. Very little information is available on estimating the cost of care services that provided to orphans and abandoned children. Prediction of the cost of the care system delivered by governmental or non-governmental organizations to support orphans and abandoned children is increasingly needed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the care cost for orphanage organizations in Saudi Arabia to forecast the cost as well as explore the most influence factor on the cost. By using business analytic process that applied statistical and machine learning techniques, we proposed a model includes simple linear regression, Naive Bayes classifier, and Random Forest algorithms. The finding of our predictive model shows that Naive Bayes has addressed the highest accuracy equals to 87% in predicting the total care cost. Our model offers predictive approach in the perspective of business analytics.

  • e-Business 시장의 폭발적 성장으로 기존의 오프라인 기업들이 e-Business 시장으로 진입하게 되었으며, 이는 e-Business 시장의 과도한 경쟁을 야기 시켰다. 이에 기업들은 키워드 광고, 이메일 광고, 배너 광고 등의 온라인 마케팅에 대한 투자를 확대하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 온라인 마케팅 방법들은 방문자를 사이트로 유입시키는 데에만 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 방문자들이 사이트로 유입 후 구매로 전환시키기 위한 방법을 제시하지 못함으로써 마케팅의 투자 대비 효과는 점점 감소하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사이트에 유입된 방문자를 대상으로 전환율을 높임으로써 마케팅의 효과를 높일 수 있는 실시간 온라인 마케팅 시스템 (ROMS: Realtime Online Marketing System)을 제안하고 개발하였다. ROMS는 방문자 행동을 실시간으로 수집하여 방문자 행동을 분석함으로써 방문자의 정보 및 행동을 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있으며, 방문자의 컨텍스트 특성에 따라 개인화된 마케팅을 수행할 수 있다.

실시간 데이터 분석의 성능개선을 위한 적응형 학습 모델 연구 (A Study on Adaptive Learning Model for Performance Improvement of Stream Analytics)

  • 최근 인공지능을 구현하기 위한 기술들이 보편화되면서 특히, 기계 학습이 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. 기계 학습은 대량의 데이터를 수집하고 일괄적으로 처리하며 최종 조치를 취할 수 있는 통찰력을 제공하나, 작업의 효과가 즉시 학습 과정에 통합되지는 않는다. 본 연구에서는 비즈니스의 큰 이슈로서 실시간 데이터 분석의 성능을 개선하기 위한 적응형 학습 모델을 제안하였다. 적응형 학습은 데이터세트의 복잡성에 적응하여 앙상블을 생성하고 알고리즘은 샘플링 할 최적의 데이터 포인트를 결정하는데 필요한 데이터를 사용한다. 6개의 표준 데이터세트를 대상으로 한 실험에서 적응형 학습 모델은 학습 시간과 정확도에서 분류를 위한 단순 기계 학습 모델보다 성능이 우수하였다. 특히 서포트 벡터 머신은 모든 앙상블의 후단에서 우수한 성능을 보였다. 적응형 학습 모델은 시간이 지남에 따라 다양한 매개변수들의 변화에 대한 추론을 적응적으로 업데이트가 필요한 문제에 폭넓게 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Cost Management of Ecotourism Programs: A Case Study of the Community Enterprises in Thailand

  • Thailand's tourism industry contributed to over three trillion baht in 2019. Tourist attractions across Thailand attract tourists around the world with their natural scenery, lifestyles, and cultures, especially in those called "second-tier cities". Community enterprises play a vital role to drive the tourism industry to local areas. However, most community enterprises lack professional accounting knowledge. This research aims to provide guidelines for ecotourism cost management of community enterprises in Thailand. Participatory Action Research (PAR) was employed to investigate the current circumstances of the Banlaem enterprise by using in-depth interviews to identify problems in cost management. Then, the focus and small group meetings were organized to monitor and evaluate solutions. The results reveal that the cost of VIP-Two Days trip was generating the highest net profit and margin, followed by VIP-One Day trip, but net losses were detected on the Students-One Day trip, even though income was greater than the variable costs, revenues didn't cover fixed costs. Thus, accounting knowledge could be a major concern of these enterprises. They should systematically record revenues and expenses, set appropriate labor costs, reduce production costs by using seasonal seafood and make use of vegetables in their gardens, and price products according to their production costs.

  • The Bank of Korea raised the benchmark interest rate by a quarter percentage point to 1.75 percent per year, and analysts predict that South Korea's policy rate will reach 2.00 percent by the end of calendar year 2022. Furthermore, because market volatility has been significantly increased by a variety of factors, including rising rates, inflation, and market volatility, many investors have struggled to meet their financial objectives or deliver returns. Banks and financial institutions are attempting to provide Robo-Advisors to manage client portfolios without human intervention in this situation. In this regard, determining the best hyper-parameter combination is becoming increasingly important. This study compares some activation functions of the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG) and Twin-delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (TD3) Algorithms to choose a sequence of actions that maximizes long-term reward. The DDPG and TD3 outperformed its benchmark index, according to the results. One reason for this is that we need to understand the action probabilities in order to choose an action and receive a reward, which we then compare to the state value to determine an advantage. As interest in machine learning has grown and research into deep reinforcement learning has become more active, finding an optimal hyper-parameter combination for DDPG and TD3 has become increasingly important.

Factors Influencing Post-Adoption Resistance to Self-Order Kiosks at Fast-Food Restaurants: A Focus on the New-Silver Generation

  • Due to the phenomenon of aging, a new consumer segment known as the "new-silver generation" is emerging. Unlike the previous silver generation, this generation possesses significant economic power and consuming willingness, attracting attention from consumer goods companies. However, both the new-silver generation and the elderly face challenges in adopting contactless or self-service technologies such as self-order kiosks, resulting in negative reactions. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the attitude and response of the newsilver generation towards kiosks, as well as the factors influencing their resistance to such technology. By applying theoretical perspectives from the innovation resistance model, technostress theory, and the value-based model, this study identifies influencing factors for innovation resistance among the new-silver generation when using contactless technologies implemented in fast-food restaurants. The findings indicate that a lower awareness of new technologies and services corresponds to decreased adoption resistance, while a higher perceived value leads to more positive behaviors and attitudes among the new-silver generation utilizing kiosks at fast-food restaurants.

An Analysis of the Positive and Negative Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction Using Topic Modeling

  • When a competent employee leaves an organization, the technical skills and know-how possessed by that employee also disappear, which may lead to various problems, such as a decrease in organizational morale and technology leakage. To address such problems, it is important to increase employees' job satisfaction. Due to the advancement of both information and communication technology and social media, many former and current employees share information regarding companies in which they have worked or for which they currently work via job portal websites. In this study, a web crawl was used to collect reviews and job satisfaction ratings written by all and incumbent employees working in nine industries from Job Planet, a Korean job portal site. According to this analysis, regardless of the industry in question, organizational culture, welfare support, work system, growth capability and relationships had significant positive effects on job satisfaction, while time and attendance management, performance management, and organizational flexibility had significant negative effects on job satisfaction. With respect to the path difference between former and current employees, time and attendance management and organizational flexibility have greater negative effects on job satisfaction for current employees than for former employees. On the other hand, organizational culture, work system, and relationships had greater positive effects for current employees than for former employees.

  • 지식과 정보산업이 경제의 주축인 지식기반 사회에 있어 지식의 공유와 확산 및 체계적인 관리는 국가 경쟁력 향상뿐만 아니라 지속 가능한 사회 발전의 필수 전략으로 인식되고 있다. 정보기술과 경영의 융합이 다양한 방식으로 일어나고 있는 정보시스템(Information Systems: IS) 연구분야에서, 연구자들이 서로 협력하여 오래된 지식을 과학적 지식네트워크의 관점에서 새로운 지식으로 만들어 낼 때 비로소 지식의 진화가 일어난다. 특히, 인용과 공저, 키워드와 같은 네트워크 기반의 학제적 접목을 통해 해당 연구분야의 관심 주제와 적용된 방법론, 연구동향 등을 파악함으로써 새로운 통찰을 이끌어낼 수 있다. 선행연구에서는 연구주제와 방법론, 공동저자 등의 관계를 밝혀 해당 커뮤니티의 지식체계 구조와 연구동향을 파악하려는 다양한 시도가 있어 왔으나, 두 개 이상의 저널을 일부 기간으로 한정해서 비교한 연구가 대부분을 차지하였으며, IS 연구의 전 역사를 아우르면서 연구동향을 살펴본 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 IS 연구분야에서 관련 지식을 넓히는 데 주도적인 역할을 수행하고 있는 MIS Quarterly (MISQ) 저널을 중심으로 창간호(1977년)부터 최근(2022년 1분기)까지 게재된 모든 논문으로부터 (1) 키워드를 추출하고, (2) 추출된 키워드를 연구주제와 방법론, 이론 등으로 각각 구분한 후, (3) 토픽모델링과 키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 IS 연구분야의 태동부터 현재까지의 변화 양상을 연대기적으로 파악하였다. 본 연구를 통해 MISQ에 게재된 IS 연구의 변화 양상을 살펴봄으로써, IS 연구분야의 발전 방향을 예측하고, IS 분야의 연구자들에게 새로운 연구방향을 제시하여 미래 지향적인 연구를 진행하는 데 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • In the last few years, banks have experienced more challenging market than any other times. They need to find new ways to reconnect with their customers and rebuild their trust. But in the race to the future some banks are taking clear lead. Research works show that while high perform leading banks are different, they also share some common characteristics and principles that have allowed them to move ahead to profitable growth. Cost cutting is no longer enough to succeed in tomorrow's world. Instead, the IT function needs to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the business to support the growth agenda. Therefore "C" level's attention is moving from cost reduction towards customer experience, speeding to market for new offerings, analytics and distribution channel enhancements, taking advantage of several levers that will shape the technology agenda for the high performing organization. Next generation of digital core-banking solutions will improve pre-existing capabilities, introduce new innovations and drive qualities such as flexibility and scalability to support time to market.

Specially, try to classify and divide this by specific developing and arrange in each type with using much this culture analysis in negotiation analytics. Through this problem and suggestion point by this confrontation way in this culture negotiation side and culture risk management side of administration make try to.
