학교 건축에 대한 BIPV시스템의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of BIPV Systems Applied in School Buildings)

  • Building-integrated photovoltaic(BIPV) systems can operate as a multi-functional building components, which generates electricity and serves as part of building envelope. It can be regarded as a new architectural elements, adding to the building's aesthetics. Besides of these benefits, the application of PV systems into school buildings tends to play an important role in energy education to students. In this context, this study aims to analyse the applicability of PV systems into school buildings. For an existing school building, four types of BIPV designs were developed; rooftops, wall-attached, wall-mounted with angle, and sunshading device. Based on energy modeling of those BIPV systems, the whole 60.1kWp rated PV installation is expected to yield about 65.6MWh of electricity, that is about 50% more than the annual electricity consumption of the school, 44MWh. It was also found that the applicability of the PV systems into the school building was very high, and the rooftop systems with the optimized angle was the most efficient in energy production, followed by sunshading, wall-mounted with angle and wall-attached. It concludes that school buildings have a reasonable potential to apply PV systems in the aspects of building elements and electricity production.

건축행위 유형별 필지의 공간적 특성 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Spatial Characteristics of Parcel by Type of Building Construction)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the spatial characteristics of the parcels in which building construction occurred. In recent, urban development patterns in Korea have been shifting from the past. Small-scale development at parcel level is becoming more important in accordance with individual location needs in the low-growth era unlike public lead large-scale urban development in the rapid growth period. Therefore, it is necessary to study the spatial characteristics of the parcels where small-scale development takes place for future urban development management. This study used the chi square independence test, t-test and ANOVA (analysis of variance) to identify the spatial characteristics. The results of the study show that there is a spatial characteristics difference not only between building construction and non-building construction parcels, but also by type of building construction. The parcel where the building construction occurred have a higher proportion in detached house, major commercial districts, district unit planning areas, and commercial areas. In addition, it is caused by parcels, which are large scale and economically valuable, and are influenced by traffic factors such as urban centers and subway accessibility. As a result of each type of building construction, the parcels where the building use change occurred have spatial characteristic difference compared to other building construction, while the spatial characteristics are similar between the new construction/extension and new construction/extension with change of use. Based on this results, it will be possible to identify areas with high demand for small-scale development in the future and to utilize them for planning management of urban development. Furthermore, it will be possible to manage development demand by type of building construction, and to prepare differentiated plans considering the appropriateness of development plan, availability of infrastructure, and harmony with surrounding environment.

  • Generally the window of the building is an objective of mining and having a distant view and also for a circulation it will can open and shut because becomes the structure insulation, the meat detailed drawing it does a very difficult portion, it is. To reduce the loss of the energy which leads, to an air conditioning energy and an expense increase problem the color which the interior furniture and the clothing due to the augmentation and the corpse ultraviolet rays of the unpleasant feeling which is caused by with the transient one solar energy influx which leads the window will burn, it joins in the window and it confronts and the novel solution is demanded.

기존 학교 건물의 외피 성능 개선 방안에 관한 연구 (The Improvement of Building Envelope Performance in Existing School Building)

  • Purpose: This study is to investigate the effects of facade insulation and window remodeling of an existing old middle school building on the reduction of energy consumption. Method: To analyze energy performance of building, using DesignBuilder v3.4, building energy simulation tool based EnergyPlus engine. Energy consumption and problem of target building was analyzed based on data and survey. Based on building energy simulations it analyzed the variation of energy demand for the building according to U-value of wall, glazing properties and external shading devices. Result: When insulation of building was reinforced, cooling and heating load was decreased. Glazing properties that minimize cooling and heating energy consumption were analyzed. In conclusion, it is important to choose SHGC and U-value of window fit in characteristic of target building. Setting external blind for cooling load decreases 5%.

외국의 유지관리 제도 비교분석을 통한 국내 건축물 유지관리 개선 방안 연구 (A Study of Plans for the improvement of the domestic building maintenance system based on the comparison and analysis of foreign building maintenance systems)

  • So far we have investigate and analyzed the actual conditions of building maintenance in Korea and compared the building maintenance laws and systems between Korea and other countries. Now, based on the results from such comparison and analysis, this study proposes the following ideas for improvement: 1) As we can learn from domestic and foreign case studies, in the existing built-up areas becoming obsolete, many building owners remodel their buildings illegally in reaction to current economic and social changes. Therefore, for efficient maintenance of buildings, it is required to improve building maintenance systems by formulating information about inspection items, inspectors, supervisors, inspection costs and intervals of reporting results, depending on how large the buildings are and what they are used for. 2) In addition, to ensure the success of a building maintenance system, it is necessary to keep and manage a history of building maintenance thoroughly and introduce a certification program which gives an appropriate grade to maintenance performance and commits the government to expand their public roles and supporting policies, as widely used in some foreign countries. Further, in keep the building maintenance system secure, there should be a nationwide consensus as well as a favorable evaluation from building owners and manager, and all related people.

  • A vibration in the building occurs by influences of the facility equipment and the structural system. As the building recently becomes higher and bigger, the vibration in the floor slab is issued. Specially, the vibration with $4{\sim}8Hz$ frequency is harder to control than any other range of frequency. This vibration easily affects human sensibility and often makes the resonance phenomenon by corresponding with the floor slab's natural frequency when people and heavy equipments move. Moreover, the permission regulations for the vibration of the building are established by building's purposes. However, it is not subdivided in detail and sometimes ambiguous to each client. Even though the vibration could cause negative influences in a research building, there is not the vibration criterion for a research building. Therefore, it is necessary to set up its own vibration criterion with the client before building and to keep checking this vibration criterion under the construction. This study proposes the reasonable control methods and the vibration criterion for floor slab's vibration which are adapted to the R4-project. The R4-project is a research building and a high-rise building also. Accordingly, this study could help to the next similar project in the design and the construction phase.

농촌지역 빈집 활용 마을만들기 추진과정에서 NPO의 역할 - 일본 NPO법인오노미치빈집재생프로젝트 사례로 - (Roles of NPO at Community-Building Project by Using Rural Vacant Houses - Focused on 'Vacant House Recreation Project of Japan's NPO Corporation' in Onomichi, Hiroshima)

  • This study has analyzed overseas projects of building rural communities using vacant houses. It is aimed at identifying the roles of NPO in the community-building projects and providing implications applicable to Korea. In recent years, there has been a spike in the number of vacant houses in rural areas. It is due to rapid urbanization and uneven distribution of the population across the country. Those are the reasons that prompted community-building projects. To solve the vacant house issue, there has been rising interest in building communities through vacant houses as rural resources and effectively integrating them as useful resources. However, the roles of key entity that pursues community-building projects using vacant houses have not been discussed sufficiently. Thus, this study deals with the 'Vacant House Recreation Project of NPO Corporation in Onomichi' in Hiroshima, Japan. Through the case study, the following are introduced as NPO's roles in community-building projects using vacant houses. First, pursuing promotion and attracting attention by making the utilization of vacant houses sensational; system improvement; offering information. Second, enhancing the perception of local residents by offering local services using vacant houses; offering community-building items. Third, forming a place of public discussion to solve conflicts during community-building projects using vacant houses; offering alternatives to building communities. Above all, such roles have led to the key status of NPO during its community-building projects using vacant houses. It offers the following implication for Korea: Future vacant house-related policies for rural revitalization should be done from community-building standpoint and include establishing the roles of NPO.

건축법규 체크 자동화 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Automation-based Building Code Checking System)

  • 본 연구는 건축사시험에서 건축법규 체크를 자동화하는 방법을 제안하다. 건축법규 체크 자동화를 가능하게 하기위하여 필요한 빌딩데이터모델을 제안하고, 그와 함께 시험답안을 주어진 건축법규와 자동으로 비교하여 충족여부를 판단할 수 있는 평가모듈을 개발한다. 본 연구의 특징은 체계적인 평가가 가능하게 하였으며, 기존의 연구와 달리 필요한 경우에 적용 건축법규의 수를 시스템의 수정 없이 증가시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다는 점이다.

  • With the increase in the demand for sustainable and environment-friendly development all over the world, it becomes an urgent issue for Korea to reduce $CO_2$ emission. Since building industry accounts for about 40% of international energy and resource consumption and $30{\sim}40%$ of $CO_2$ emission, it is essential to prepare for energy-efficient building. This study aims to seek for improvement direction for a domestic Building Energy Efficiency Rating System through the comparison with foreign systems. Two foreign building energy rating systems which have the similar application scope with domestic one, HERS(Home Energy Rating System) and SAP(Standard Assessment Procedure)2005 were selected. As compared with foreign systems, we intended to suggest improvement direction for effective application of Building Energy Efficiency Rating System in Korea.

건강친화형 건축자재의 DB화 연구 - 실내마감재를 중심으로 - (A Study on a Database Management System for Health-friendly Building Materials)

  • Building materials have a great impact on the health of a building's occupants. Thus, it is imperative that their health-related properties be taken into during the course of construction project. Unfortunately, no current database system exists that can provide information on the health performance of building materials at each stage of construction project management, from planning and design to building and maintenance. therefore, an inordinate amount of time and effort is required to choose the right health-friendly materials(DBHM). To solve this problem, this study aims at building a database management system for health-friendly building materials. It analyzes the health-related properties and performance of various materials, and proposes a database structure and operation algorithm. The system proposed in this study is expected to contribute to the objective evaluation of health-friendly building materials through the accumulation of relevant data.
