  • As school facilities have been expanding quantity better than quality, efficient school facility management has been focused on from 2001 in domestic. Due to obsolescence of school facility, objective management and maintenance cost of school facility is very important. However LCC(Life cycle cost) analyst, owner, engineer, contractor and facility manager have a difficulty to obtain and facilitate the basic analyzed data required to analyze LCC of school facility and establish maintenance plan. Therefore this research presents muti-dimensional analysis method through data warehouse technique for supplying maintenance cost information of school facility that can trace and accumulate the scattered LCCing data in the perspective of life cycle of school facility.

  • Construction equipment cost is critical to estimate the total construction costs, particularly in large and complicated projects. Despite its importance, the construction equipment cost may not reflect the current market value since the equipment database is being updated every 6 years at most. To keep construction equipment cost up to date, it is highly recommended to use the standard market price that is reported each year by the Ministry of Security and Public Administration (MOSPA). However, there is still a gap to adopt the standard market price system for the construction equipment cost computing system. Therefore, this paper suggests an effective way to develop a construction equipment cost estimation system.

  • Even large construction projects of nuclear power plant construction and production data is increasing dramatically due to the introduction of ICT technologies, such as 3D scanning technology, wireless communication technology, virtual construction management technology. There are various attributes and types of data to be produced and managed because the documents generated by the contract method are different from the cost processing method. According to the requirements of the international nuclear bid, it is required to present the cost that is calculated based on resource quantity. This research considers ways in which the cost management based on the resource quantity.

  • The purpose of this research is to propose an approximate estimation system for Modernized Hanok. Mock-up (Jisinjae) site data has been collected and analysed to characterize the modernized Hanok and to examine the range of cost fluctuation rate with each work items. As a result, number of floor, area (㎥), shape, methods and materials were considered as key factors for price change on the total construction cost. Furthermore, wood structure (34%) and roof (17%) account for major cost percentage. The cost fluctuation rate of two factors were -3.3%~+5.6% (wood structure) and -4.1%~+4.2% (roof). For further research, existing method will be analysed in order to developing the Hanok estimation system. And the cost fluctuation rate of every work items will be continually evaluated.

  • Recently a great deal of people are taking legal action against the housing provider due to the defects of their Apartment house. And most of the housing companies are spending a huge amount of expenses and efforts to keep their brand value. This essay will carry out time series analysis the 20 housing district which are constructed by huge construction companies. This analysis itemised by metropolitan area(Seoul) and others to keep the degree of reliability, and converted future defect maintenance cost into current cost applied by discount rate to figure out suitability of defect maintenance cost. Even though, this essay is not able to represent standard of defect maintenance cost due to the insufficiency of record, while it will be assisted as a referance when long-term record of time series is estabilished.

  • The standard estimation system, used to estimate the predetermined cost of construction work, is measured by the standard and typical construction methods and field conditions. And the standard estimation system is applied to basic data for the measuring of construction cost, such as the consumed quantity of material, labor hours, and machinery cost. However it does not reflect sufficiently for the diversity and reality of constructions work Therefore, this study is recognized the necessity of new cost estimation models for the rational construction cost estimation. To improve estimation technique and construction ability, it was analyzed labor hours, production volume based on the work crew in construction work.

  • Vertical greenery has become an important technological means to improve the ecological environment condition in urban high-density areas, especially in central areas of Chinese cities. The cost of vertical greenery has significantly increased both in the decision-making process of architectural design and in the assessment of the sustainability potential of urban complexes. The estimation and evaluation of the cost of vertical greenery have become important obstacles to multi-party investment in the construction of vertical greenery. Considering the factors of the building typology and full life-cycle cost, this paper constructs an assessment model of vertical greenery in seven types in urban complex, and suggests an optimized approach to vertical greenery in an urban complex.

  • Reinforced concrete is the most widely used construction method for constructing structures. There is a lot of process for constructing Reinforced concrete structures such as installing rebars, molds and support, mixing and placing concrete, and curing. So the reinforced concrete work accounts for a large part of the total construction cost for constructing structure. For this reason a reasonable standard for estimating the cost of reinforced concrete construction has to be established and it will be possible to secure appropriate costs for construction work. In this study, we analyze the revision factors of the standard for estimating the cost of reinforced concrete construction and present them to secure reasonable construction costs.

  • The calculation of the correct construction value in the construction should be investigated after the quantity is calculated. In order to calculate the quantity requires a lot of cost and time, and the initial accurate quantity calculation is not possible. Therefore, in the planning step in order to successfully complete the project to demonstrate the practicality of the difference between the construction cost by the construction design by presenting a method for calculate the quantity through the estimate with the construction open, floor plan, surface view, section.

  • The proportion of maintenance work has been increasing due to the recent aging of the infrastructure, but the standardized construction cost estimation standards are insufficient for this. In particular, reinforced concrete structures are being applied to many structures such as buildings and bridges, and various construction methods for maintenance of reinforced concrete structures are being developed and applied. In this study, we surveyed about the current status of the construction method for the maintenance work of reinforced concrete structures and analyze the factors of the revision of the construction cost estimate standard for the reinforced concrete structure maintenance.
