Hospital costing has generally been using ABC costing method. However, based on increase of expensive equipment, the fixed cost is increased in the hospital industry. The most common equipment industry are using building block costing method for depreciation and equipment management costing elements. Additionally it presents three options that may be considered to be supported by the IT system to find the most appropriate alternative.

In the telecommunication industry, estimation of the cost of network facilities is very important since depreciation cost of the facilities accounts for a large portion of the product cost. Moreover, cost estimation in the industry becomes more difficult because of increasing indirect cost upon digital convergence, expanding multi-purpose facilities, complexity of service product, etc. Nevertheless, not much seem to have been done in improving estimation methodology of the cost of network facilities. As a result, the quality of cost information on network facilities has deteriorated, and now even decision-makers in the industry dismiss the information. Recently, two major telecommunication companies adopted a new network cost estimation method to deal with the issue. In this paper, we study the concept of new cost estimation method and the procedure to develop and apply it. We also suggest the method to carry out the cost allocation using Matlab which is more efficient and time-saving than other commercial cost calculation packages.

통신산업은 가계 및 국가경제에의 영향, 자연발생적인 독과점적 산업구조 등을 이유로 규제대상으로 분류된다. 따라서 기간통신사(CATV포함)는 외부보고 목적의 재무회계 및 내부관리 목적의 관리/원가회계 보고 외에도 규제를 위한 보고를 수행한다. 통신기업은 이러한 재무, 관리, 규제회계를 위한 시스템을 기존의 legacy(과금시스템, 고객지원시스템, 망운영시스템 등)와 원활하게 통합함으로써 업무효율을 달성하고 경쟁력 제고를 위한 운영, 전략적 의사결정정보의 토대를 마련할 수 있다. 본 연구는 통신기업의 ERP 도입사례를 원가모듈을 중심으로 살펴봄으로써 원활한 통합시스템 구축을 위한 이론적, 실무적 지침을 제시한다. 특히 원가모듈을 중심으로 분석함으로써 ERP의 기본적 효익인 원가절감을 위한 구축방법론 및 통신산업의 특정인 네트워크원가계산 및 절감을 위한 시스템개발에 유효한 시사점을 도출하였다.

근래에 조선 해양 구조물 분야의 대부분 설계와 공정 계획은 각 회사가 보유한 전용 CAD/CAM 시스템을 통해 수행되고 있다. 이는 설계 형상 및 생산 관련 정보들이 추출되어 시간과 인력이 소비되는 많은 분야에서 해당 정보를 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 프레임워크가 구축되는 초석이 마련되었음을 뜻하며, 가장 전형적인 예로 선박 및 해양 구조물의 생산에 있어서 용접 관련 정보 산출 문제가 있는데 초기 일정 계획에 있어서 사용될 용접물량의 정확한 예측은 구조물 중량 그리고 도장면적 산출과 더불어 생산 과정의 자연스런 흐름을 가능케 하며 예상 소요 인력과 비용을 확보할 수 있는 극히 중요한 과정으로 인식되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ERP 시스템에서 추출된 구조물의 형상 및 생산정보로부터 정확한 용접장 및 용접물량을 추정할 수 있는 프레임워크를 구축하고 프로그램을 개발하였다. 산출된 용접 정보는 용접 자세, 조립단계, 블록, 베벨 그리고 용접타입에 따라 분류되며, 적절한 Factor를 통해 용접작업에 필요한 시수와 비용을 예측하는데 사용된다.
