Winding Inductance for Single-Phase Outer Rotor Brushless DC Motor (단상 외전형 브러시리스 모터의 권선 인덕턴스)

  • 이 논문은 단상 외전형 브러시리스 모터의 권선 인덕턴스를 해석적인 방법으로 산정하고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 모터의 초기 설계단계에서 사용하는 자기회로해석은 매우 유용하고, 인덕턴스는 자기회로해석에서 중요한 파라미터이다. 회전자계의 영향은 쇄교 자속으로 표현할 수 있고 자속 쇄교수는 인덕턴스에 비례하기 때문이다. 따라서 모터의 특성해석을 위해서 인덕턴스 산정은 매우 중요하다. 해석적인 방법으로 권선 인덕턴스를 산정하였고 회전자의 영향을 무시하였다. 그리고 LCR 미터와 전류 변화법으로 각각 권선 인덕턴스를 측정하였다. 해석값과 전류 변화법으로 측정한 권선 인덕턴스는 비슷하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 권선 인덕턴스의 해석적인 산정방법은 모터의 초기 설계단계에서 자기회로해석으로 특성을 해석하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

  • In this paper, we describe the Solar Car, Woongbi, which was created to participate in the World Solar Challenge(WSC) at the team NeulHaeRang of Korea National University of Transportation. The WSC is the world's largest solar car racing competition and has a separate automobile regulation and must be manufactured to meet the regulations. Therefore, the key point of the solar car design is to optimize the energy efficiency based on the regulations. The solar car's drive system consists of a solar array to convert solar energy into electric energy, a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) controller to track the converted electric energy to maximum output power, a battery to store the produced electric energy, a BLDC (Brushless DC) motor for driving the vehicle by converting energy into mechanical energy, and a motor controller for controlling the BLDC. The optimal design methods for solar energy conversion and electric driving system of battery, motor are presented in this paper.

  • 브러쉬 없는 직류전동기의 위치제어를 위한 퍼지가변구조제어기를 설계한다. 특히 본 논문에서는 기존의 퍼지제어 기법에서 얻을 수 있는 특징으로부터 하나의 전건부 변수만을 가지는 간단한 퍼지논리제어기의 설계를 기술한다. 가변구조제어는 시스템의 파라메터 변화나 외란에 둔감한 특성을 갖는다. 하지만 리칭페이스에서는 문제가 된다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 지수항을 추가한 비선형 슬라이딩면을 구성한다. 그리고 나서 비선형 슬라이딩 면과 슬라이딩 면의 변화율을 입력으로 하는 퍼지 제어기를 설계한다. 이러한 2-입력 퍼지가변구조제어기의 제어 규칙표로부터 하나의 전건부 변수만을 가지는 단일 입력 퍼지가변구조제어기를 설계한다. 이들 제어기의 성능을 입증하기 위하여 시뮬레이션과 실험을 수행한다.

Development of Underwater Thrusting System Driven by 300W Class BLDC Motor (300W급 BLDC모터 기반의 수중추진체 개발)

  • This paper is about the development of the 300W underwater thrusting system driven by a brushless DC motor (BLDC) for underwater robots. A design of the structure such as the structure analysis on the thrusting system using FEM and the design of the propeller using the fluid analysis has been performed. Also, a new structure such as decoupling and non-gear structure has been explained. The performance test of the designed and developed thrusting system in water and in air was undertaken and its results were compared with an existing product with high performance. The comparison results show that the developed thrusting system has better performance by 16% in forward thrusting force and by 12% in backward thrusting force.

  • 브러시리스 직류 전동기(Brushless DC Motor : BLDCM)는 기존의 직류 전동기의 단점인 브러시를 제거한 것으로 제어가 간단하면서도 넓은 범위에서 속도 제어가 가능하고 효율이 높으며 저가로 제어기 제작이 가능하다. 그러나 BLDC기을 구동하는데 필수적인 센서는 제품의 가격을 증가시킬 뿐만 아니라 외부 환경-특히 온도의 영향을 많이 받는다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 것은 BLDCM의 사용 환경이 다양해짐에 따라 많은 문제점을 야기하게 되며 따라서 센서리스 구동이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 BLDCM의 센서리스 구동에서 정상상태 운전뿐만 아니라 안정된 초기 구동에 관한 연구를 수행한다. 정상상태 운전은 측정된 역기전력을 이용하여 회전자의 위치를 결정함으로써 이루어지며, 초기 구동을 개선하기 위해 환류 다이오드로부터 측정된 전류 신호를 이용하여 초기 구동을 하게 된다.

  • This paper presents a new method for removing reaching phase in variable structure control systems using Bell type switching function. By proposed method, during the entire control process reaching phase is removed. For effective speed control of trapezoidal type brushless DC motor, a time varying switching function based speed controller is developed as illustration.

  • This paper describes the development of a software that has the man expert knowledge, experience and inference. This software is helpful for selecting the motors and driving systems which are best fit for the applications. Developed software can automatically select the most reasonable motor driving systems, only if a semi-skilled engineer inputs the performance criteria for the applications and mechanical data. Expert system inference engine and knowledge-base are implemented by C programming language. Data-base was implemented from manufacturer's catalogues for DC motors and brushless DC motors. Efficiencies of the various motor driving systems are compared reference on the average efficiency depends on the operating profiles. Developed expert system was tested in various of applications to verify the reliability, quick and easy selecting of the motor driving systems.

  • BLDC motor is widely used in automation areas for its good maintenance and controllability. In this paper it is designed for a speed control servo system of sinusoidal typo BLDC motor that can be easily adapted to automation systems with lower cost. Also, control parameters & periods are made adjustable according to the sensors of the motor, electric and mechanical time constant, and PI and PD control are used. The processor for the proposed system is a low cost 16bit One-Chip microprocessor. By experimental results from application to the industrial sewing machine, one of the application of BLDC motor, it can be verified that under the given reference, the system is enough as a speed and position servo without overshoots.

  • The brushless DC motor(BLDCM) is widely used in many applications. One of the application of the BLDCM is the stage which is one of process in the semiconductor manufacturing processes. Very high performance is required in the stage process. In this paper, the 1 degree of freedom positioning system for the basic technology of the stage is studied. The linearization method is proposed to make the controller design procedures easy by measuring the thrust force ripple using the strain gauge. And through the experiments, it is proved that the inner velocity control loop is necessary to make more precise positioning control system.

  • The Electric Power Steering (EPS) has been applied to the vehicles due to its better fuel efficiency, better steering feel, and the compact volume compared to the hydraulic power steering. The brushed PM (Permanent Magnet) DC motors had been adopted in most of the EPS systems until several years ago due to its easy control and a simple hardware configuration of the power converter, but nowadays the BLAC (Brushless AC) motor is becoming more popular for the EPS system because of its high efficiency and long lifetime. This paper reviews the configuration of the EPS system and the BLAC motor and drive technologies based on the papers published recently. The torque ripple reduction for steering feel and the fault detection algorithms for safety are also reviewed.
