Objectives: It is hard to accumulate research data on adolescents' suicide, because friends and family of the suicide completers might be reluctant to share the experience. To overcome the lack of information on adolescent suicide victims, the authors examined the risk and protective factors for adolescents' suicide from a character in a novel. Methods: Krystal, an adolescent female in the novel The Casual Vacancy by Joanne Rowling, failed to overcome her unfortunate circumstances and committed suicide. The authors analysed Krystal's case based on the guideline for patients with suicidal behaviours to address the complicated situation of her death. Results: Krystal grew up in a poor and dangerous environment. Despite the environmental hardships, she developed ego maturation with affectionate help from Mr Fairbrother, an assistant coach of the Girls' Rowing Team and a parish councillor. The sudden passing away of Mr Fairbrother brought on a crisis of identity for Krystal. In addition, a villainous character raped her and her brother drowned to death, which brought her great sorrow. She felt helpless and committed suicide. Conclusion: In spite of many risk factors for suicide, Krystal was able to keep her life with a few protective factors, a younger brother in the home, and a sense of responsibility for the family. After the loss of her brother, however, she collapsed in a moment. Krystal's suicide might not only be a personal choice but a breakdown of the social protection system for the youth.

This study inquired into the life and experiences of two elder sisters who have different individual and familial risk factors and their younger brothers from the mixed-age preschool class through ethnographic research method using participant observation. The results showed that an elder sister from low-income multi-children family played her role very actively through caring for, learning and playing with younger brother during almost of the play situations. On the other hand, the other elder sister who has experience of depression, showed strong possessiveness and neglect of younger brother. As for psychological aspects of sibling relationship, the elder sisters were suffering psychological stresses resulted from excessive role expectation in family or from self-recognition on elder sister role, respectively.

The results of study can be summarized as follows: 1. Few sewing companies committed their workers to a professional and systematic training course. 2. Brands as Brother, Juki, Yamato, Singer and Nara were being much used. Among them the Brother was most popular. The age of the sewing machines was between one and six years. Most companies were repairing their machines. The manual main sewing machines were more frequently out of order than other machines. The ratio of idle machines was highest in sewing work, compared with cutting or finishing work, primarily due to decreased orders, aging machines or reduced manpower. 3. Most of the sewing companies were feeling necessary for automated sewing machines.

This research evaluated the effect of two main sources on the results of the ocean regional circulation model (ORCMs) during downscaling and nesting the results from the coarse data. The two sources should be the domain size, and temporal and spatial resolution different between driving and driven data. The Big-Brother Experiment is applied to examine the impact of them on the results of the ORCMs separately. Within resolution of 3km grid point ORCMs applying in the Big-Brother Experiment framework, it showed that the simulation results of the ORCMs depend on the domain size and specially the spatial and temporal resolution of lateral boundary conditions (LBCs). The domain size can be selected at 9.5 times larger than the interest area, and the spatial resolution between driving data and driven model can be up to 3 of ratio resolution and updating frequency of the LBCs can be up to every 6 hours per day.

우리나라 해역은 크게 동해, 서해와 남해로 나뉜다. 해역별 특성은 공간적 및 유체역학적으로 상이하여 해역별 수중거주시설의 설계에 있어 서로 다른 주요건과 시설구성을 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 거시적 수중주거시설 설계기술 연구의 일환으로서 특히 해역별 공간 특성을 잘 갖춘 3곳의 입지 후보지(동해:Phoenix point, 남해:South Brother point와 서해:Mud point)에 대하여 요구되는 해역별 설계 환경부하를 최근 태풍Haishen, 태풍Maysak과 태풍 Bavi의 기상 예측자료 및 관측자료를 통해 비교하고 가정한 건축목표(Phoenix point: 속초시에 탈탄소 전력공급, South Brother point:부산항 수소연료 비축기지 및 해상 수소충전소, Mud point:에너지 자립형 기후중립 수산양식 기지)에 부합하도록 시설구성을 제안함으로써 우리나라 연안의 천해와 심해에서의 수중거주 가능성을 조사했다.

Patients with primary immunodeficiencies often have symptoms of their disease for months or years before diagnosis and treatment. This is partly because these disorders are relatively uncommon and the infections typical of immunodeficienciey, for example otitis, sinusitis, and pneumonia, are common. We report a case of agammaglobulinemia in an 8-year-old boy with recurrent and severe infection. He was first seen in our hospital for bacterial meningitis in 2006. His immune status revealed panhypogammaglobulinemia and deficiency in mature B lymphocyte. His elder brother also showed deficiency in mature B lymphocyte but mild hypogammaglobulinemia. Some X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) cases may remain undiagnosed because they only show mild hypogammaglobulinemia and they lack repeated infections in childhood.

This study surveyed the family relations of glasses wearer who were 80 primary student among 1321 students. They live in Iksan city, Jeon buk Province. The questionnaire of this study were the first wearing time, relations with parents, relations with brother and sister, and changing visual acuity. The question about when they were the first wearing glasses was answered 26% of all answerer at first grade, each 20% at second grade and third grade, 16.2% at preschool, 15% at fourth grade, and each 1.2% fifth and sixth grade. The Question was the relations between students' wearer and their parents about wearing glasses, 37.5% of wearer answered their parents didn't wearing glasses, 32.5% for mother was glasses wearer, 20% for mother and father were wearer, and 10% for father was wearer. In case of the relations between students' wearer and sister or brother about wearing glasses, 33.7% of wearer answered their brother or sister wearing glasses but the others only wearing glasses oneself. Visual acuity of the students' wearer was checked during wearing glasses. 58.7% of wearer answered their visual acuity didn't change, 35% for worse and 6.2% better visual acuity.

Controversies over NEIS(Network of Education Information System) began with very deep concern about infringement of human rights stemming from NEIS. A large information system which accumulates and uses huge size of individual information is always able to deeply infringe on human rights. But the ministry of education would not do the best not to be 'Big Brother' being dazzled by instrumental efficiency of information technology. NEIS has demonstrated problems of the information policy of Korea strongly driven in the name of 'E-goverment'. It has very strong characteristic of the statist economic growth policy focusing on more economic possibility than other. In this situation, making money is easily considered more important than protecting human rights. Information capitalism is nurtured at the sacrifice of human rights. So, we have to face problems of 'E-goverment' in order to correct the NEIS problem, The most important task to correct the NEIS problem is to make an element law protecting privacy and to establish an independent national institute protecting privacy
