The study was carried out to investigate water activity, physicochemical properties and color degree of burley tobacco stored in shelf with different moisture content for 56 days. The study was consist of two experimental designs, that is, moisture content in burley tobacco was kept to 13 to 15 %, 17 to 19 %, and 21 to 23 % under ambient temperature of $20^{\circ}C$ with relative humidity of 24 %, and another group of in burley tobacco was only kept in ambient temperature of $3^{\circ}C$ with relative humidity of 50 % for 56 days with same water content of former treatment. Normal leaves were kept for 56 days under 21 to 23% of moisture content with increased water activity and TSNA(tobacco-specific nitrosamine content. It was considered that favorable leaves conditions are due to favorable microbial growth resulting in increased TSNA content. The total nitrogen content has not changed in two experimental groups for 56 days, otherwise the nitrate form nitrogen and total alkaloid contents were only increased by 21 to 23 % of water content. Degree of pH change was slightly decreased in both storage and water treatment. It was more decreased in 21 to 23% of moisture content than that of other moisture content. In stored leaf tobacco, higher moisture content caused lower brightness, yellow degree, and carbonization quotient.

The common-envelope process is a complicated phase in binary evolution. A lot of effort has been dedicated to study the common-envelope stage, but many questions related to this process are yet to be answered. If one member of the binary survives the common-envelope phase, the binary will emerge as a white dwarf accompanied by a low-mass main sequence star in close orbit, often referred as a post common-envelope binary (PCEB). SDSS J0745+2631 is among the list of newly found PCEBs from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). This star is proposed to be a strong eclipsing system candidate due to the ellipsoidal modulation in its light curve. In this work, we aim to confirm the eclipsing nature of SDSS J0745+2631 and to determine the stellar and orbital parameters using the software Binary Maker 3.0 (BM3.0). We detected the primary eclipse in the light curve of SDSS J0745+2631 in our follow-up observation from January 2014 using the ULTRASPEC instrument at the Thai National Observatory. The data obtained on 7th and 8th January 2014 in g filter show an evident drop in brightness during the eclipse of the white dwarf, but this eclipse is less prominent in the data taken on the next night using a clear filter. According to our preliminary model, we find that SDSS J0745+2631 hosts a rather hot white dwarf with an effective temperature of 11500K. The companion star is a red dwarf star with a temperature of 3800K and radius of 0.3100 $R_{\odot}$. The red dwarf star almost fills its Roche lobe, causing a large ellipsoidal modulation. The mass ratio of the binary given by the Binary Maker 3.0 (BM3.0) model is M2/M1 = 0.33.

Although space-borne satellites are useful in obtaining information all around the world, they cannot observe at a suitable time and place. In order to overcome these limitations, an airborne remote sensing system was developed in this study. It is composed of a SAR sensor and a thermal infrared sensor. Additionally GPS, IMU, and thermometer/hygrometer were attached to the plane for radiometric and geometric calibration. The brightness of SAR image varies depending on surface roughness, and capillary waves on the sea surface, which are easily generated by sea winds, induce the surface roughness. Thus, sea surface wind can be estimated using the relationship between quantified SAR backscattering coefficient and the sea surface wind. On the other hand, thermal infrared sensor is sensitive to measure object's temperature. Sea surface temperature is obtained from the thermal infrared sensor after correcting the atmospheric effects which are located between sea surface and the sensor. Using these two remote sensing sensors mounted on airplane, four test flights were carried out along the west coast of Korea. The obtained SAR and thermal infrared images have shown that these images were useful enough to monitor coastal environment and estimate marine meteorology data.

Lighting systems in modern society has been developed using a combination of IT technology and LED lighting for the purpose of bringing about changes in human-centered natural lighting and to take advantage of the efficient management and energy saving of LED lighting. In this paper, we propose an LED lighting control system that can control the color temperature and brightness of LED lighting composed of 3000K Warm LEDs and 6000K Cool LEDs by using an Arduino Due and wireless communication technology such as Bluetooth and Zigbee. The Arduino Due allows the color temperature of the lighting to be adjusted in several steps by controlling the duty rate and enables many lights to be controlled using Zigbee communication capable of 1: N multiple communication. By using Bluetooth communication, it is possible to easily control the LED lighting by means of a smartphone application, thereby enhancing the convenience for the user. The wireless communication based LED lighting control system implemented in this study cannot only provide human-centered lighting through its color temperature control from 3067K to 5960K and illumination control, but can also reduce the power consumption and be used as a natural-friendly lighting system.
The use of climatic information is essential in the industial society. More specialized weather servies are required to perform better industrial acivities including agriculture. Especially, crop models require daily weather data of crop growing area or cropping zones, where routine weather observations are rare. Estimates of the spatial distribution of daily climates might complement the low density of standard weather observation stations. This study was conducted to estimate the spatial distribution of daily minimum and maximum temperatures in Korean Peninsula. A topoclimatological technique was first applied to produce reasonable estimates of monthly climatic normals based on 1km $\times$ 1km grid cell over study area. Harmonic analysis method was then adopted to convert the monthly climatic normals into daily climatic normals. The daily temperatures for each grid cell were derived from a spatial interpolation procedure based on inverse-distance weighting of the observed deviation from the climatic normals at the nearest 4 standard weather stations. Data collected from more than 300 automatic weather systems were then used to validate the final estimates on several dates in 1997. Final step to confirm accuracy of the estimated temperature fields was comparing the distribution pattern with the brightness temperature fields derived from NOAA/AVHRR. Results show that differences between the estimated and the observed temperatures at 20 randomly selected automatic weather systems(AWS) range from -3.$0^{\circ}C$ to + 2.5$^{\circ}C$ in daily maximum, and from -1.8$^{\circ}C$ to + 2.2$^{\circ}C$ in daily minimum temperature. The estimation errors, RMSE, calculated from the data collected at about 300 AWS range from $1.5^{\circ}C$ to 2.5$^{\circ}C$ for daily maximum/minimum temperatures.

Sea fog/stratus is very difficult to detect because of the characteristics of air-sea interaction and locality ,and the scantiness of the observed data from the oceans such as ships or ocean buoys. The aim of our study develops new algorism for sea fog detection by using Geostational Meteorological Satellite-5(GMS-5) and suggests the technics of its continuous detection. In this study, atmospheric synoptic patterns on sea fog day of May, 1999 are classified; cold air advection type(OOUTC, May 10, 1999) and warm air advection type(OOUTC, May 12, 1999), respectively, and we collected two case days in order to analyze variations of water vapor at Osan observation station during May 9-10, 1999.So as to detect daytime sea fog/stratus(OOUTC, May 10, 1999), composite image, visible accumulated histogram method and surface albedo method are used. The characteristic value during day showed A(min) .20% and DA < 10% when visible accumulated histogram method was applied. And the sea fog region which is detected is similar in composite image analysis and surface albedo method. Inland observation which visibility and relative humidity is beneath 1Km and 80%, respectively, at OOUTC, May 10,1999; Poryoung for visble accumulated histogram method and Poryoung, Mokp'o and Kangnung for surface albedo method. In case of nighttime sea fog(18UTC, May 10, 1999), IR accumulated histogram method and Maximum brightness temperature method are used, respectively. Maxium brightness temperature method dectected sea fog better than IR accumulated histogram method with the charateristic value that is T_max < T_max_trs, and then T_max is beneath 700hPa temperature of GDAPS(Global Data Assimilation and Prediction System). Sea fog region which is detected by Maxium brighness temperature method was similar to the result of National Oceanic and Atmosheric Administratio/Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (NOAA/AVHRR) DCD(Dual Channel Difference), but usually visibility and relative humidity are not agreed well in inland.
The alternate plating method was suggested by a tin-cobalt alloy plating process which has excellent mechanical characteristics and also favorable to environment. Tin-cobalt alloy plating has many advantages such as nontoxicity, variable color-tone, and no post-treatment process. In this study, the plating conditions such as temperature, pH, current density, plating time, and amount of additive (glycine) were determined in the tin-cobalt alloy plating process through Hull-cell test and surface analysis. As the result of Hull-cell analysis, brightness became superior as the amount of glycine increased. It was found that the optimum alloy ratio was 0.03 M of $SnCl_{2}{\cdot}2H_{2}O$ and 0.05 M of $CoSO_{4}{\cdot}7H_{2}O$ at $50^{\circ}C$, pH 8.5, and $0.5A/dm^2$. The optimum amount of additive was 15 g/L of glycine and 0.1 g/L of organic acid. Then, the solution including glycine was recommended as an optimum plating solution for a chromium plating process.
White emission thin film electroluminescent device was fabricated using ZnS for phosphor layer and BST ferroelectric thin film for insulating layer. For fabrication conditions of BST thin film, stoichiometry of target was $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$, substrate temperature was $400^{\circ}C$, working pressure was 30 mTorr, and A:$O_2$ ratio was 9:1. At this time, dielectric constant was 209 at 1kHz frequency. For phosphor layer ZnS:Mn, ZnS:Tb, and ZnS:Ag were used. Mixing rates of activators were respectively 0.8, 0.8, and 1 wt%. Total thickness of phosphor tapers was 500 nm, thickness of lower insulating layer was 200 nm, and thickness of upper insulating layer was 400 nm. In this conditions, luminescence threshold voltage of thin film electroluminescent device was $95\;V_{rms}$, maximum brightness was $3,000\;cd/m^2$ at $150\;V_{rms}$. Luminescence spectrum peak was observed at region of blue(450 nm), green(550 nm), and red(600 nm).
The radiative transfer for TIROS operational vertical sounder (RTTOV) and the community radiative transfer model (CRTM) are two fast radiative transfer models (RTM) that are used as observation operators in numerical weather prediction (NWP) systems. This study compares the basic structure and input data of the two models. With data from Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-A (AMSU-A), which has channels of various frequencies, observed brightness temperature ($T_B$) and simulated $T_B$s from the two models are compared over the ocean surface in two cases-one where cloud information is included and the other without it. Regarding AMSU-A sounding channels (5-14), the two models produce no large significant differences in their calculated $T_B$, but RTTOV produces smaller first guess (FG) departures (i.e., better results) in window and near-surface sounding channels than does CRTM. When adding cloud water and ice particles from Unified Model (UM), the $T_B$ bias between observations and simulations are reduced in both models and the bias at 31.4 and 89 GHz is substantially decreased in CRTM compared to those of RTTOV.

Animal glue is a natural adhesive made from processed skins or bones of animals. It is widely used in wooden crafts, papercrafts, dancheong painting, and pictures. Accurate evaluation of the quality of animal glues during production and use is difficult because there is no formal method for testing the glue's properties during pretreatment and measurement conditions. Thus, in this study, a series of tests were carried out by changing the conditions of swelling, temperature, and concentration of animal glue and gelatin sold on the market. Twelve types of animal glues were evaluated, having a viscosity range of 12.67 cP to 29.43 cP. The results showed that the physical characteristics of the glues were stable when allowed to swell for six h in distilled water(23℃). When 10%(by weight in distilled water) of the animal glue was measured in the reflective mode of a spectrophotometer, the optical characteristics of the glues were stable. Powdered animal glues have a medium brightness and middle-high chroma. Relative to powdered glues, stick animal glues have a low brightness and a medium chroma. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that the data can be assembled into a form so that animal glue workers can use it as a reference for the preparation of evaluation standards for testing the characteristics of animal glues.
