Purpose: This study examines the effects of several brand variables on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: The survey was conducted on a community with 302 city residents in Greater Jakarta as consumers of lighting products. The constructs were arranged based on several independent variables such as brand experience, brand relationships, and brand trust on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Customer satisfaction was positioned as an intervening variable to examine the effects on brand loyalty. Results: The consumer's experience determines the attitude and satisfaction at the next action. Brand experience significantly influences customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Meanwhile, a brand association related to the benefits of the product concerned so that the relationship also affects customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. However, the brand relationship does not affect brand trust. Consumers do not readily believe without experience. Conclusion: The consumer's experience significantly influences satisfaction and brand loyalty, both direct and indirect. Brand relationships affected customer satisfaction and had a direct effect on brand loyalty. Likewise, brand trust has a direct effect on brand loyalty. The findings' implications emphasize the importance of brand owners to provide positive, memorable experiences to the consumers.
Nowadays, space branding becomes more important since it reflects and synthesizes the diverse experiences of the consumer. The objective of the research is to present the new possibilities that space branding offers by analyzing the brand strategy and the design characteristics of branded hotels, which are being projected as constructed branded environments. By integrating the brand with visible or invisible elements of the hotel, such as unique space planning, service, and consumer experience, a branded hotel can be a good vehicle to reflect fast changing consumer lifestyles and trends; it enables the consumer to experience brands in his or her everyday life, and it conveys the overall image of the brand by considering the consumer's multi-sensual experiences. The study processed with theoretical research which is related to the hotel space and branded environment. Four brands were selected with distinct business area and brand strategy, and studied to analyze the strategy and the characteristics of the branded environment in a branded hotel. In particular, the case study attempted to evaluate the distinctiveness of the branded hotel's spatial design by comparing each brand's representative flagship store with the hotel. As a result, four characteristics of branded environments in branded hotels were identified, namely, strengthen brand image, consistent brand strategy, extend brand perception, spatialize brand experience. Armani emphasizes their consistent brand image by applying similar design methods in both retail stores and hotel spaces. IKEA, in contrast, applies not their design identity but their brand concepts like practicality, efficiency, and low prices. Pantone gives an expanded brand experience by using synesthetic sensual stimulation using their color system. Missoni mixes and composes their patterns and materials in a three-dimensional manner and strengthens design possibilities and spatiality. This study suggests specific design methods to construct a branded environment in a branded hotel and offers new strategic directions for space branding.
Purpose - The importance of customer experiences has been increasing in retail industry as wells as theme park industry. The purpose of this research is to investigate relationships among brand experience, customer perceived value and brand support behavior in theme park industry. Furthermore, we tried to examine the moderating effects of interaction with customers in the relationships between brand experience and customer perceived value. Besides, we provided some implications for not only the theme park industry but also other service industries such as retail industry. Research design, data, and methodology - The research model has nine hypotheses, and we examined them empirically in this study. Five hypotheses were about relationships among theme park brand experiences, customer perceived value, and brand support behavior. The other four hypotheses were about the moderating effects of customer interactions in the causal relationship between brand experiences and customer perceived value. A total of 167 samples who had visited the theme park were surveyed and the hypotheses were tested with the statistical package programs such as SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results - The results of this study are as follows. First, it was proved that theme park visitors' sensory experience, emotional experience, and cognitive experience have significant positive effects on perceived value, although the hypothesis about the causal relationship between behavioral experience and perceived value is not supported. Second, the customer perceived value has a positive effect on brand support behavior. Third, customer interaction has a positive moderating effect between brand experiences and perceived value, except for behavioral experience. Conclusions - Based on the results of this study, there can be following significances and implications from both theoretical and practical perspectives. First, we confirmed the importance of experiential marketing in other service industries such as retail industry as well as the theme park industry. The marketing managers in these industries need to design various experience programs considering the various characteristics of experiences such as sensory, emotional, and cognitive experiences. Second, it will be necessary for the theme park managers to encourage active participation of customers, and raise the level of interaction between employees and customers.
Purpose: This research is a quantitative study aimed at determining the influence of brand experience and brand image on brand equity through brand loyalty in the distribution in Coworking Space industry. Research design, data and methodology: The analytical method employed in this research is Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study utilizes a quantitative approach, with data collected through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms among Coworking Space users. A total of 68 respondents represent the research population.. The data was analyzed using PLS-SEM to examine the relationships between the variables under investigation. Results: The research findings indicate that brand experience significantly affects both brand loyalty and brand equity. Similarly, brand image significantly influences both brand loyalty and brand equity. Additionally, brand loyalty has a significant impact on brand equity Conclusions: The research findings indicate that brand experience has a significant effect on brand loyalty and brand equity. Purpose: This study aims to investigate how brand-related user-generated content (UGC) influences consumers' brand attitude and behavioral intention in the context of the Metaverse, and the mediating role of virtual brand experience, perceived information usefulness, perceived interactivity, and attitude toward advertising. Research design, data and methodology: The study was conducted using a survey with 239 questionnaires from frequent social media users in China and hypothesis testing through AMOS 26.0 structural equation modeling. Results: The findings suggest that (1) brand-related UGC positively influences brand attitude and behavioral intention through virtual brand experience, perceived information usefulness, perceived interactivity, and attitude toward advertising. (2) The study identified the fully-mediated effects of virtual brand experience, perceived information usefulness, perceived interactivity, and attitude toward advertising in the impact of brand-related UGC on brand attitude and behavioral intention. (3) The mediating pathway with the most significant impact on behavioral intention was the virtual brand experience and attitude toward the advertising, followed by the effect of the virtual brand experience, perceived information usefulness, and perceived interactivity on brand attitude. Conclusions: This study presents UGC as a new type of digital promotion that can positively impact the effectiveness of brand advertising in the Metaverse.
This study aims to figure out how the brand experience design elements works in the Shortform video-based branding through case analysis. The sense, feel, think, act, relate experience of Shortform video brand are provided through the implementation of specific experience design elements in the process of the creators expressing personality through social media channels and communicating and interacting with consumers. As a result, LIZIQI's food videos provided a brand identity as an 'Eastern gourmet' to consumers through the audiovisual stimulation of food in video, the cognitive reinforcement which is combined of identities and products, and the behavioral participation by web sites·electronic media. In addition, a strong brand relationship was established by sharing emotional ties using human factors and responsibility through co-branding. This can be extended to various Shortform video contents-based branding cases, and it will suggest a useful approach to the brand building strategy through strategic brand experience design elements.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of conspicuous brand usage between brand experience and brand loyalty in relational perspective, and to probe the difference between the positively experienced consumers and the negatives. Research design, data and methodology: Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and other brands were suggested as consideration set to be selected from 223 Amazon Mechanical Turk respondents, and they answered the structured survey of 33 questions made by Qualtrics with 5-point Likert scale. Structural Equations Model (SEM) was employed to test the hypothesized model, and RStudio and SPSS 18 were used to analyze the dataset. Results: It was confirmed that the more consumers have positive brand experience, the more they are loyal to brand. Conspicuous brand usage can be positively mediated, and consumers who experienced high conspicuous brand usage are more likely to be loyal to the brand. Conclusions: It is noteworthy to find the mediating effect of conspicuous brand usage, and the hidden mechanism between brand experience and brand loyalty. Managers can promote positive conspicuous brand usage when consumers get in touch with product and service channels. By providing impressive conspicuous brand experience, the brand loyalty of the band can be enhanced.
Purpose - This study was aimed to investigate the moderating effects of cobranding promotions that are rare in brand experience and brand loyalty studies, and to find out cobranding promotions can play a moderating role to enhance positive effects on the relationship between brand experience and brand loyalty, and to figure out the cobranding types which can lead to positive brand loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - The conceptual research model was developed to explain the effects, and 2018 Interbrand's global top 15 brands such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung were suggested to be selected from 377 Amazon Mechanical Turk respondents to answer the 22 survey questions made by Qualtrics with 5-point Likert scale. Results - In this research, the moderating effects of cobranding have been confirmed on the relationships between brand experience and loyalty, and the positive cobranding promotions can have significant effects on the relationships, but only for the least experienced brand was significant. Regarding to cobranding types, there were no significant ones to enhance brand loyalty. Conclusions - The findings confirmed that cobranding promotion experience can play a positive moderating role to brand loyalty, and the loyalty can be maximized if companies can provide positive cobranding experiences to their own consumers.
In the era of M-ICT (mobile information communication technology), it is becoming more and more important to establish a city brand image that is "user-centered" and creates a new experience of "interaction between people, people and things, and people and space". The experience of city users on the brand image of a city is the key factor to determine the competitiveness of the city, among which the user's research on the touch point of the city brand is particularly important. The purpose of this study is to enhance the user's brand experience and enhance the city's brand competitiveness. The research methods of this paper are literature review and investigation. Firstly, the background and purpose of the study are expounded, then the characteristics and ways of user experience touch points are defined through the document review, and the multi-latitude composition model of city brand touch points is proposed. By means of user investigation, the structural characteristics of high frequency touch points between digital touch points and physical touch points are obtained. According to the problems found in the investigation, the optimal design strategy of touch point is put forward in combination with the case. The innovation of this study is to study the relationship between the city brand and the touch point of user experience from the perspective of user experience, and propose a multi-latitude model of the touch point of city brand.
Purpose - The ICT(information and communications technologies) development is affecting consumer behaviors on selecting channel or distribution system. This study aims to advance our knowledge about the factors influencing omni-channel behaviors. This study considers the positive brand experience as the moderating variable into the relationship between omini-channel use intention and consumer brand relation. Also, the effect of positive brand experience on consumer-brand relation is researched. Research design, data, and methodology - This study conducted an empirical test with the subject as customers who purchase goods or service through on-off cross channel simultaneously. The research model is developed from prior literatures about influencing variables on channel selection. The structure of this study is designed to identify causal relationships between the variables. 268 survey data from the questionnaire survey which is conducted to target customers who use online and offline channels, is used for empirical analysis. This study validates generality with descriptive statistics and data reliability with Cronbach's alpha value. The exploratory factor analysis is used for value purification. Then, the confirmatory factor analysis is conducted for structural equation modeling. Finally, the execute structural equation modeling is analyzed to confirm the hypotheses Results - First, the two causal influences between perceived performance risk and the propensity of omni-channel and between price consciousness and the propensity of omni-channel are verified through the empirical test. Second, the result identifies that the propensity of omni-channel is influenced on consumer-brand relationship. Third, the AMOS analysis proves that the moderating variable, positive brand experience, has significant positive impact on consumer-brand relationship. This significant relationship is highly supported by the regression analysis between brand experience and propensity of omni-channel because it results that positive brand experience has positive impact on the propensity of omni-channel. All hypotheses are verified to be true. Conclusions - Based on the empirical result, this study confirms that perceived performance risk and price consciousness are the important factors influencing propensity of omni-channel. According to the additional analysis, the moderating variable and positive brand experience plays important role between the propensity of omni-channel and consumer-brand relationship. Furthermore, positive brand experience influences more on consumer-brand relationship than non-positive brand experience.
