  • For the development of 100[W] stage lighting, quantitative and uniform color mixing that applied through color adopted Simple-Inverse matching so that color mixing can be possible along Black Body Locus. R,G,B(Red, Green, Blue) LED(Light Emitting Diode) arrangement through LED package character analysis, LED module, and the characteristic of device were considered for uniform color mixing. A distance changeable optical device was built to assure high uniformity and high diffusion of not only the middle of diffusion side but also the border side. Also, we developed the control power circuit that can expand up to 6 channels which are possible for quantitative color mixing, and the high uniformity and high quantified border light for color mixing control and the verification of color mixing characteristics by composing GUI(Graphical user interface) including color mixing simulator. By presenting the experimental results of light color control, we proved the usefulness of our developed border light and the proposed color mixing method.

  • Advances in e-commerce enable consumers to shop efficiently for fashion products in global markets in addition, the market size of purchasing directly from foreign websites are also increasing. This study investigates the effects of hedonic and utilitarian shopping values on the continuous use intention of online cross-border shopping. Curiosity and self-efficacy were introduced as mediating variables between shopping values and user intentions. A web-based survey is conducted on female consumers, who have experiences to buy fashion products by online cross-border shopping. A total of 472 responses were collected from a panel of online survey firms. Data are analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and multi-group SEM by AMOS 21.0. According to the results of the structural equation model test, hedonic value affected continuous use intention of online cross-border shopping as mediated by curiosity and self-efficacy; in addition, utilitarian value influenced self-efficacy, which mediated relations between the utilitarian value and the continuous use intention. The research model was also tested to compare heavy users and light users of online cross-border shopping. For heavy users, the effect of hedonic value on curiosity was significantly stronger than for light users. Several implications are suggested based on the results.

  • This study examines how a Burmese migrant clinic in a Thai border town cares for migrant patients and activates cross-border health care mobility. Established in 1989, the clinic has developed its capacity and serves as a prominent healthcare institution across the border. Despite its illegality, Thai authorities recognize its importance and collaborate with the clinic. The study reveals that collaborations with various partners play important roles in the constitution of the clinic. Unlike existing literature on the health of migrants, which concerns structural constraints, the study emphasizes migrants' agency in creating their own health care institution through collective partnerships, shedding light on the cross-border health care mobility of underprivileged patients. The legitimate presence of the migrant clinic in the border town mediates and strengthens their transnational mobility across the border. Partnerships with various individuals and organizations have empowered the clinic to undertake a unique role in the border society.

  • Objective: Esthetic improvements during orthodontic treatment are achieved by changes in positions of the lips and surrounding soft tissues. Facial soft-tissue movement has already been two-dimensionally evaluated by cephalometry. In this study, we aimed to three-dimensionally assess positional changes of the adult upper lip according to simulated maxillary anterior tooth movements by white light scanning. Methods: We measured changes in three-dimensional coordinates of labial landmarks in relation to maxillary incisor movements of normal adults simulated with films of varying thickness by using a white light scanner. Results: With increasing protraction, the upper lip moved forward and significantly upward. Labial movement was limited by the surrounding soft tissues. The extent of movement above the vermilion border was slightly less than half that of the teeth, showing strong correlation. Most changes were concentrated in the depression above the upper vermilion border. Labial movement toward the nose was reduced significantly. Conclusions: After adequately controlling several variables and using white light scanning with high reproducibility and accuracy, the coefficient of determination showed moderate values (0.40-0.77) and significant changes could be determined. This method would be useful to predict soft-tissue positional changes according to tooth movements.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to design a variable frequency LED light system for plant factory which combined red, blue, green, white, and UV lights and controlled the ratio of the light wavelength. In addition, this study evaluated the performance of each combination of LED to verify the applicability. Methods: Four combinations of LED (i.e. Red+Blue, Red+Blue+Green, Red+Blue+White, Red+Blue+UV) were designed using five types of LED. The system was designed to control the duty ratio of each wavelength of LED by 1% interval from 0~100%, the pulse by 1Hz interval from 1~20kHz. Response characteristics of the control system, spectral distribution of each combination, light uniformity and uniformity ratio were measured to test the performance of the system. Results: Clean waveforms were measured from 10Hz to 10kHz regardless of duty ratio. Frequency distortion was observed within 5% of inflection point at frequencies above 10kHz regardless of duty ratio, but it was judged negligible. Spectra showed a normal distribution, and maximum PPF with duty ratio of 100% was $271.4{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ for the Red+Blue combination. PPF of the Red+Blue+Green combination was $258.9{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, and that of the Red+Blue+White combination was $273.9{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. PPF of the Red+Blue+UV combination was $267.7{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. Uniformity ratio for the area excepting border showed 0.90 for the Red+Blue and Red+Blue+White combinations, 0.87 for the Red+Blue+Green combination, and 0.88 for the Red+Blue+UV combination. The light was irradiated evenly at the area excepting border, so it was suitable for plant growing. Conclusions: From the results of this study, response characteristics of the control system, spectral distribution of each combination, light uniformity and uniformity ratio were suitable for applying into the plant factory.
