청소년기 여학생의 사회적 체격불안 관련 요인 (Factors Relating to Social Physique Anxiety in Adolescent Girls)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study was to explore the factors relating to Social Physique Anxiety(SPA) in the adolescent girls(N=700). These factors included the biological(level of school[age], period of menstruation, and BMI), the sociocultural(Influence of Mass Media, [IMM], Stereotype of Ideal Female Body[SIFB], type of school, perceived figure, and ideal figure) and the BW control-related factors(experience of bodyweight [BW] control, satisfaction at the result of BW control, and motive of BW control). Method: The sample was 700 girls of the middle and high schools in Jeju-do. The data was collected by the self-reported questionnaire and processed with the SPSS Win 12.0 program. Result: 26% of the variance in SPA was explained by the biological factors(level of school) and the sociocultural factors (perceived figure, ideal figure, type of school, and IMM). SPA, IMM, and SIFB were significantly correlated with each others(r=1,65-2.92, p<.05). The mean SPA scores according to BW control-related factors were significantly different. Conclusion: This results suggest that media education is necessary to reduce or eliminate the adolescent girl's SPA. In addition, SPA needs to be considered as the important concept for the future nursing researches and interventions related to BW control.

성역할 정체성 및 성역할 불일치가 여성과 남성의 외모만족도와 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 비교 (Gender Differences in the Influence of Sex Roles on Appearance Satisfaction and Self Esteem)

  • 본 연구는 성역할 정체성 및 성역할 불일치가 남성과 여성의 외모만족도와 자아존중감에 미치는 영향을 비교하는데 목적이 있다. 일치이론, 양성성 이론, 남성성 이론, 자아불일치 이론 등이 성역할이 외모만족도와 자아존중감에 미치는 영향의 예측을 위해 고찰되었다. 자료수집을 위해서는 서울과 수도권에 거주하는 20-40세의 남성 125명과 여성 197명이 편의표집 되었다. 공변량 구조분석으로 분석한 결과, 남성의 경우, 외모만족도와 자아존중감모두 지각된 남성성만이 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 비하여, 여성들의 경우, 외모만족도에는 지각된 여성성, 여성성 불일치, 남성성 불일치가 영향을 미쳤으며, 자아존중감에는 지각된 여성성, 지각된 남성성, 여성성 불일치, 남성성 불일치가 영향을 미쳤다. 신체질량지수는 여성 경우에만 자아존중감에 영향을 주었다. 본 연구의 곁과는 여성과 남성에 대한 사회적 기대의 차이를 반영하는 것으로, 신체이미지 카운슬러 등의 실무자들이 젊은 여성들의 자아존중감과 외모만족도를 고양하는 데 중요한 시사점이 될 수 있을 것이다.

Understanding the Ideal Female Beauty on Advertisement Images in Modern Korean Society through the Iconological Comprehension of Renaissance Portraits

  • This study investigated the ideal female beauty in advertisement images through the iconological comprehension of Renaissance portraits and explored the longitudinal change of the ideal female beauty in modern Korean society. A total of 146 cover images on Hyang-Jang magazine, which is the company magazine of AMORE PACIFIC Group, from 1972 to 2012 were selected as the data. These images were divided into 10-year units for analysis using iconological criteria, which were pose, shape of eyes and lip, and hairstyle. The way presenting the cover images on Hyang-Jang magazine had changed in order to emphasize female body, self-satisfaction and independence of female, and sexual attractiveness of female. The results of this study implied that the change of ideal female beauty had been affected by socio-cultural contexts of modern Korean society that has industrialized and democratized in a short period of time.

인천 도시 및 농촌 지역 여중생의 영양실태조사 (Nutrition Survery of Female Middle School Students in Urban and Rural Areas of Inchon)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the nutrient intake, dietary and weight control behaviors and iron deficiency of adolescent girls. The subjects were 216 female middle school students living in urban and rural areas of Inchon. Thin cross- sectional study was conducted by questionnaires and data were analyze by SAS program. Nutrient intakes collected from 3 day-recalls were analyzed by the Computer Aided Nutritional Analysis Program(CAN-pro). The mean height, weight. BMI and obesity index for the subjects were 158.2 cm, 51.1kg, 20.4 and -5.3 % in urban students and 155.9 cm, 49.3 kg 21.1 and -8.2% in rural students, respectively. Easting blood samples were obtained and analyzed for iron nutritional status. The mean obesity index of the urban students was higher than that of the rural students. The proportion of the overweight group was higher in urban students compared to rural students, However, over 10% of both area students belonged to the low weight group, respectively. Most students of both areas skipped breakfast and the main reason was on appetite and lack of time. Urban students were more concerned with body image. The nutrients which showed a lower mean intake as percentile of RDA were Ca, iron, vit A an Vit B$_2$ and most nutrient intakes of urban students were significantly higher compared to those of rural students. These results indicate that nutrient intakes in the female middle school students were considerably lower than the RDA. Also they had undesirable food habits and lower self-satisfaction with their body image, There were significant differences in the mean MCV, TIBC and serum ferritin between urban and rural area subjects. Mean Hb, Hct, MCH, MCHC and TS, bowaver, were not significantly different. Prevalence of iron deficiency greatly varied by indices from urban(11.5%) and rural (8.7%) when judged by Hb to urban(23.1) and rural (23.3%) by serum ferrition. Therefore, proper nutrition education is required for good nutrition desirable food habits, weight control, and guidance for iron deficiency in anemic female of adolescents.

청주지역 일부 대학생의 체중조절 식품 및 건강기능식품 사용 실태와 관련 인식 연구 (Use of Weight-control or Health Functional Foods, Associated Weight-control Behavior and Perception among University Students in Cheongju)

  • Objectives: This study sought to assess the prevalence and duration of weight-control or health functional food use, associated weight-control behavior, perception, and knowledge among university students. Methods: The subjects were 442 university students in Cheonju, Korea, and data was collected by a self-administered questionnaire. Both χ2 and t-tests were conducted for categorical and mean comparisons. Results: An estimated 62.7% (female 69.0%, male 54.8%) had ever attempted weight-control. Among these, an estimated 59.2% of females and 38.9% of males had used weight-control or health functional foods with significant gender difference. The weight-control foods commonly used included chicken breast, protein powder, low-fat milk and soymilk, and meal replacement drinks, while garcinia cambogia extract and green tea extract were frequently used as health functional foods. One of 10 (10.3%) consumers of weight-control foods reported ≥ 7 months use, with less frequent long-term consumption of health functional foods (4.2%). The average degree of satisfaction was 3.24 ± 0.92 for weight-control foods and 2.72 ± 0.97 for health functional foods on a 5-point scale, meaning 'slightly satisfied' and 'slightly dissatisfied', respectively. Females or students with an experience of weight-control reported poorer perceptions of their health and body image as well as a higher need for weight control. Besides, both male and female subjects felt a high need for correct information regarding weight-control methods. Conclusions: Our results provide a better understanding of the characteristics associated with the use of weight-control or health functional foods among university students and will be useful in developing a nutrition education program by incorporating correct body image, knowledge, and practical yet desirable practices for weight control.

소아의 체격에 대한 인식, 자아존중감, 사회성 및 행동특성간의 관계 (The relationships among perception of physique, self-esteem, sociality, and behavioral characteristics in children)

  • 목 적: 초등학생들의 실제 체격 측정치와 자신의 체격에 대한 인식 및 만족도를 살펴보고, 그에 따른 자아존중감, 사회성 및 문제행동특성을 규명하고자 한다. 방 법: 서울에 소재한 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년생 465명(남학생 231명, 여학생 234명)을 대상으로 키와 체중에 대한 인식 및 만족도 조사, 자아존중감 검사(self-esteem inventory, SEI), 아동 청소년 행동평가척도(Korean Child Behavior Checklist, K-CBCL)를 실시하였다. 이들에서 신장과 체질량지수를 구하여 2007년 대한소아과학회의 신체발육표준치를 기준으로 저신장, 경계군, 정상 또는 비만, 과체중, 정상의 세 군으로 분류하였고, 키에 대한 인식도는 작은 편, 보통, 큰 편으로, 체중에 대한 인식도는 마른 편, 보통, 뚱뚱한 편으로 구분하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS for Windows (version 12.0, SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA)를 사용하여 chi-square test, ANOVA test등을 실시하여 분석하였다. 결과: 실측된 자신의 키와 체중에 대하여 인식 및 만족도에서 의미 있는 차이를 보였다(P<0.05). 키나 체중의 실제 측정치에 따른 자아존중감, 사회성, 행동특성의 유의한 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다(P>0.05). 키와 체중에 대한 인식과 만족도에 따라 자아존중감에 의미 있는 차이를 보였다 (P<0.01). 결 론: 자신의 키나 체중에 대하여 정확하게 인식하고 만족하고 있는 아동들의 자아존중감이 높게 나타났다. 따라서 체격에 대한 올바른 인식확립과 교육으로 심리적 지지를 제공해야 하겠다.

신체이미지가 외모관리행동, 자아존중감, 대인관계에 미치는 영향 -성인남성을 대상으로- (Body Image Management Behavior, Self Respect, the Influence on Interpersonal Relations - For Adult Males-)

  • 현대 사회에서는 남녀를 불문하고 외모관리가 중요한 사회적인 영향력과 경쟁력으로 대두되면서 외모관리의 중요성이 점점 더 부각되고 있다. 외모관리행동은 전통적으로 여성을 중심으로 받아들여지고, 거의 모든 소비시장의 주체가 여성이라는 인식이 최근까지 확산되어져 왔으나 1990년대 이후 성역할에 대한 고정관념의 변화와 여성들의 사회 진출로 인해 독립적인 성향이 강해지면서 남녀의 지위와 역할에도 상당한 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 따라 남성들은 여성적 영역에 있어서 과거보다 긍정적인 시각과 포용적인 태도를 보이기 시작했으며, 남성들도 자신의 외모를 가꾸고 자신을 잘 표현하기 위해서 외모관리행동에 많은 시간과 돈을 투자하는 경향이 증가하고 있다. 여성의 전유물로만 여겨졌던 화장품 모델에서도 남자가 등장하는가 하면 그루밍족, 노무족, 로엘족 등 연령대에 상관없이 외모에 관심을 갖는 남성 인구가 증가하고 더 나아가 직장인 남성들에게 외모는 승진이나 연봉 등 직업적 성취를 위한 경쟁력 요소라는 인식이 점차 확산되고 있다. 사회생활의 주체인 남성들은 호감 가는 외모와 긍정적인 이미지를 형성하기 위하여 후광효과를 발휘하게 된다. 자아존중감과 외모관리행동에 관한 연구는 두 가지 면에서 중요한 시사점을 가지고 있다. 첫째, 외모관리를 통하여 남성의 매력성을 증가시키며 그로 인한 스스로의 자아존중감 향상과 사회적 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있어 이는 업무 성취도에 있어서도 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 남성 고유의 자아존중감이 높을수록 심리적으로 안정되어 사회적인 승인에 대한 의존도가 적으며 의복의 심미성을 중요시하게 되어 외모 관리행동력이 높아진다. 본 연구의 분석 결과에 따라 자기 자신에 대한 외모평가와 신체만족도가 자아존중감과 높은 상관관계가 있음을 연구결과 확인하였으며 대인관계형성에도 유의한 영향을 준다고 규명하였다.

자궁절제술 부인의 성생활 만족에 관한 요인 분석 (An Analytic Study on Influencing Factors for Sexual Satisfaction in Women Who have had a Hysterectomy)

  • This research was done to clarify the factors related to sexual satifaction in women who have had a hysterectomy, and to idenify which factors had statistically significant influence of sexual satisfaction of the subjacts. The objective of this study was to identify the variables related to sexual adaptation which might be changed by nursing intervention. This was a cross-sectional descriptive correlation study. There were 230 subjects in the study, and they were selected by a convenient sampling method. The tool. for this study was developed by the researcher through modification of the Dergatis Sexual Function Inventory(DSFI). A pilot study was done to determine the necessary modifications. Data collection was done between Sept. 1987 and Du. 1987 using a mailed questionnaire. The characteristics of the subjects were as follows : The mean age of the subjects was 42.3 years and 204(87.4%) of the subjects had nine or more years of education. The mean income of the subjects was 85.8870 won / month, and 179(77%) of them were housewives. The mean number of pregnancies and children were 4.9 and 2.5 respectively. Oophorectomies were included in the surgery for 66(28.7%) of the subjects. Only 12(5.2%) were planning to have more children. Only 88(38.3%) of the subjects had received information prior to the surgery regarding health problems related to the operation and less than half, 111 (48.3%), had received this kind of information before discharge. Lay persons were the source of information about the post-operation status for 196 (85.2%) of the subjects, but the content of the information did not significantly influence the sexual satisfaction score. Only 16(7.0%) of the subjects said they regretted having a hysterctomy while 102(44.3%) said they were pleased to have had a hysterectomy. Ninety (39.1 %) of the subjects reported that their husbands had “stress” and 164(71.3%) of the subjects reported “stress”. The results of this study are summarized as follows : 1. The mean score for sexual satisfaction of the subjects was 34.24 with a possible maximum score of 50.00. Eighty two(35.8%) were responded that they were satisfied with their sexual life but 61 (26.5%) were responded that they were dissatisfied with their sexual life 2. The following 15 factors extracted from the results of the data analysis were significantly related to sexual satisfaction(p<.05) ; support of husband, body image, emotion, knowledge of sex, menopausal symptoms, sexual behavior, the feelings the subjects had about the hysterectomy, stress for both subject and husband, the number of children, health information given before operation, job, age, level of education and income. The five most important factors influencing sexual satisfaction were identified by using stepwise multiple regression analysis. The most important factor was support of husband, which explained 17.83% of the total variance. The remaining factors in order of significance were : Knowledge of sex, income, job, and emotional status. Those five factors explained 35.16% of the sexual satisfaction. In conclusion, for the care of women who are going to be discharged from hospital after having had a hysterctomy, nurses have to work with the husbands to help them to understand the importance of their support. Nurses also need to make sure that the subjects have an adequeate knowledge of sexual life after a hysterectomy. Also nursing interventions should focus on subjects who do not have a job, who are of low economic status, and the subjects who are under the unpleasant mood.

대구 지역 여고생의 체중 조절 관심도와 영양소 섭취 상태 (The Interest of Female High School Student's for Weight Control and Nutrient Intake Status in the Daegu Area)

  • In this study, the interest of female high school students's(N=500) for weight control, as well as nutrient intake status, were analyzed. The mean age, height, and weight of the subjects were, 19.3 years, 162.2 cm and 55.4 kg respectively. Mean BMI was $21.1 kg/m^2$. According to BMI, the percentage of underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obese were 18.5 %, 60.3%, 11.3%, and 11.3% respectively. By the BMI criteria, 60.3% of the subjects were normal weight while the rate of self-recognition was 41.5%. The degree of satisfaction regarding self-body image was only 17.1% and 60.9% showed an interest in weight control. The reason for weight reduction were appearance(65.1 %) and health(24.2%). The body areas where subjects wanted to lose weight included the thighs(32.9%) and whole body(29.3%). They believed the most effective weight control strategy was exercise(81.1 %) and the strategies they used were diet(59.1 %) and exercise(40.4%). Energy intake was 1,733.4 kcal which was 86.7% of the estimated energy requirements(EER). Calcium, vitamin $B_2$, and vitamin C intakes were less than EAR by 34.4%, 40.4%, and 59.6% respectively. The intake of dietary fiber was 5.1 g only 21.1 % of the adequate intake(AI). In summary, high school females interested in weight control have significantly less calcium intake than their peers. The correlations between interest in weight control and weight and BMI were significant(p<0.001). The results of this study suggest that to achieve optimal growth, improved diets that include calcium, vitamin $B_2$, and vitamin C are recommended. High school females interested in weight control should especially be targeted for education on calcium intake.

인플루언서의 특성이 구매자의 공존성을 통해 소비자 행동에 미치는 영향 (The impact of influencer characteristics on consumer behavior through coexistence of buyers)

  • 최근 인플루언서 마케팅의 개념은 학계와 산업계 모두에서 급격히 성장하였으며, 인플루언서 시장의 성장세로 인플루언서 마케팅은 많은 기업의 마케팅 전략에서 중요한 고려요인이 되었다. 그러나 인플루언서 시장의 성장세와 그 연구의 중요성에 비해 관련 연구가 충분하게 진행되지 않아 본 연구는 인플루언서의 특성이 구매자의 공존성을 통해 소비자 행동에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석하여 관련 문헌을 확장하고 실증적인 기여점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 인플루언서를 통해 한 번이라도 제품을 구매한 경험이 있는 사람들 400명을 대상으로 설문을 수행하여 최종 384부를 분석에 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 인플루언서의 특성 중 매력성과 공감성은 구매자의 공존성 중 만족에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 불만족에는 부정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 전문성은 구매자의 공존성에서의 만족과는 아무런 영향을 주지 않는 반면, 불만족에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 구매자의 공존성 중 만족은 브랜드 이미지와 추천 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 주며, 구매자의 공존성 중 불만족은 브랜드 이미지와 추천 의도에 부정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.
