  • ICT기술은 소프트웨어와 하드웨어의 모든 분야에서 비약적으로 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 이에 따라, 기업에서 전통적으로 사용되어 오는 경영정보시스템들도 다양한 형태로 개선되거나 융합되어지고 있다. 특히, 재택근무, 이동근무, 원격 협업 등의 ICT기술 활용하여 시간과 장소에 얽매이지 않고 업무를 수행하는 스마트워크는 기업의 근무행태에 대한 패러다임을 바꿀 것으로 기대를 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 스마트워크의 일환으로 BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy Beacon)을 이용한 모바일 형태의 그룹웨어 시스템을 제안한다.

  • 최근 IoT 시스템의 관심도가 높아지고 있어 기본 활용 기술의 방법 중 블루투스 비콘 모드를 이용한 정확한 위치 탐지 방법에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 블루투스 모듈의 비콘 모드를 활성화하여 불특정 다수의 사용자들에게서 획득한 정보의 고유아이디(UUID, Universally Unique Identifiers) 식별 및 특정 기기의 위치를 파악하여 해당 UUID의 위치 탐지 방법을 제안하였다. 비콘 정보의 수신신호세기(RSSI, Received Signal Strength Indicator)값을 이용하여 불특정 사용자의 위치를 탐지하고, 설정된 RSSI의 범위 구간에 따라 탐지 객체의 IoT 모듈에 접근 여부를 판단하고, 접근이 감지되었을 때 해당 모듈의 IoT 모듈의 기능을 작동시키는 방식으로 활용할 수 있다. 또한, 위치 탐지의 정확성을 위해 RSSI의 데이터를 저장하고, 저장된 데이터 관찰을 통하여 해당 블루투스의 위치 데이터를 보다 정확하게 파악하는 시스템을 설계하였다.

Study on the Beacon Signal Characteristic for Efficiency Analysis of Indoor Positioning (실내 위치 측위 효율성 분석을 위한 비콘 신호 특성 연구)

  • Recently, the activity area in the indoor space has been widening. Various types of service technologies have been developed and applied user location, tracking, spatial pattern analysis and environmental analysis in indoor space. BLE-based beacon is used for the service technology in the indoor space. Therefore, in this paper, we collected and analyzed signals for indoor positioning based on beacon. For this purpose, a module was designed to analyze the efficiency of indoor location measurement using beacon. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the measured data at close range is improved. Also, it was analyzed that the more accurate the position data is extracted without the obstacle in the indoor space.

  • This paper describes the applicability of Bluetooth and ZigBee networks for real-time control in wireless networked control system and suggests an effective usage of them. The Bluetooth SCO link, SPP and HID profiles and the ZigBee non-beacon enabled network are analyzed and the latency of them are measured. A number of wireless networked control system experiments are performed via DC motor control system and the various profiles of Bluetooth and ZigBee in real-time wireless networked control system are compared.

  • This paper investigated the method for the output of power management IC (PMIC) for BLE beacon with energy harvesting device to be maintained constantly. The capacitor was used to store the energy supplied from energy harvesting device such as solar module and the capacitance was estimated to the optimum value according to the interval for the BLE beacon to send advertising signal.

  • Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacon is an actively push-to-broadcast electronic signal and can be used for object identification. This paper uses such beacon-based identification and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for the elder health management service system to simplify the user interfaces and steps for preventive elder care. In the proposed system, an elder's family member, caregiver, or medical worker can conveniently and quickly record daily health management information. Besides, through the statistics and analysis of the data on the back end of the system, it is helpful for the elderly to refer to the data of daily care management and future management trends. Similarly, it is also an essential reference data for system maintenance and the new preventive health care services development.

Beacon-Based Indoor Location Measurement Method to Enhanced Common Chord-Based Trilateration

  • To make an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) fly in indoor environments, the indoor locations of the UAV are required. One of the approaches to calculate the locations of an UAV in indoor environments is enhanced trilateration using one Bluetooth-based beacon and three or more access points (APs). However, the locations of the UAV calculated by the common chord-based trilateration has errors due to the distance errors of the beacon measured at the multiple APs. This paper proposes a method that corrects the errors that occur in the process of applying the common chord-based trilateration to calculate the locations of an UAV. In the experiments, the results of measuring the locations using the proposed method in an indoor environment was compared and verified against the result of measuring the locations using the common chord-based trilateration. The proposed method improved the accuracy of location measurement by 81.2% compared to the common chord-based trilateration.

  • Since the first commercialization of beacon-based services in 2011, various services have been provided to improve Bluetooth performance, and research has been conducted to accurately recognize user locations using beacons. The various measurement methods of indoor positioning systems (IPS) include methods using receiver signal strength indicator (RSSI) the strength of which varies greatly in accuracy depending on whether there are obstacles such as cement walls or doors. In this paper, we present a method to provide accurate positioning services even in the presence of obstacles in indoor spaces. To this end, we connect the HM-10 module supporting the beacon with Arduino Uno, to place beacons in three directions in real-world indoor space, and derive an optimal trilateration equation. Based on the derivation, we select the optimal expression for calculating the distance between the beacon and the moving station and use it to verify the coordinate determination for the moving station.

  • A study on Ontology-based indoor positioning techniques using BLE Beacon. Recently BLE beacon has been widely used as a technique for measuring the indoor location. But it requires a filtering technique for the measurement of the correct position, and uses the most fixed beacon. It is not accurate that calculates the position information through the identification of the beacon signal. Therefore, filtering is important. So it takes a lot of time, position measurement and filtering. Thus, we is to measure the exact position at the indoor using a mobile beacon. The measured beacon signal is composed of an ontology for reuse in the same pattern. RSSI is measured the receiver is the distance of the beacon. And this value configure the location ontology to be normalized by the relationship analysis between the values. The ontology is a method for calculating the position information of the moving beacon. It may be detected fast and accurate indoor position information.
