  • An algorithmic approach to degree elevation of B-spline curves is presented. The new algorithms are based on the blossoming process and its matrix representation. The elevation method is introduced that consists of the following steps: (a) decompose the B-spline curve into piecewise $B{\acute{e}}zier$ curves, (b) degree elevate each $B{\acute{e}}zier$ piece, and (c) compose the piecewise $B{\acute{e}}zier$ curves into B-spline curve.

  • This study analyzed the consciousness, unconsciousness, and individuation process of 'Cheongmyeong', the protagonist presented in the webtoon "Return of the Blossoming Blade", based on Jung's theory of individuation. The subject of the research was the webtoon "Return of the Blossoming Blade", which has formed a readership across various genders and age groups, based on a successful web novel. The individuation process of the protagonist of "Return of the Blossoming Blade", analyzed using Jung's theory, is as follows: Firstly, the protagonist's ego originated from the shadow derived from the unconscious. Secondly, the protagonist's persona is social and positive in reality, but the personal persona manifested as an unrevealed shadow. Thirdly, the protagonist's anima/animus connects the profound inner consciousness with reality, maintaining a complementary relationship with the persona. Fourthly, the protagonist's Self symbolizes the collective ideal human and the essence of the volcano. The protagonist was shown to achieve individuation through a continuous repetitive process of integrating consciousness and unconsciousness, and through the compensatory process.

  • The following are what this auther concluded in his recent research of bamboo cultivation. 1. The bamboo logging should be prohibited during the months of July and August, for during that season the growth of the terrestrial stem is most vigorous and active. 2. The growth of terrestrial stem of the phyllotachys pubescens is not likely to be affected the soil texture on which it grows and it is sappling sprout out well enough in any kind of soil, but it was found out that it grows in the best condition on the sand-clay soil and in next best condition on the clay-soil. 3. The bamboo blossoming takes always most of the nutritions needed for the growth of the terrestrial stem and causes to decay 90 percent of the next year buds which await in the terrestrial stem to sprout as the sappling. The remaining 10 percent of the buds is to be the "re-incarnated bamboos" 4. The terrestrial thin roots of blossoming bamboo are negative in their growth, too weak in absorbing the nutrition. The above stated facts show, to be brief, that growth of bamboo depends largely upon that of the terrestrial stem.

  • In this paper, we design up-down converter for asynchronous IMT-2000 base station using W-CDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) technology. This up-down converter(UDC) has AGC (Automatic Gain Control), TPTL(Transmitting Power Tracing Loop), RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) function. And for the cell control of BS(Base Station), breathing, blossoming, wilting function also available. This UDC has diversity structure for better performance.

  • An a1gorithmic approach to degree elevation of NURBS curves is presented. The new algorithms are based on the weighted blossoming process and its matrix representation. The elevation method is introduced that consists of the following steps: (1) decompose the NURBS curve into piecewise rational Bezier curves, (b) elevate the degree of each rational Bezier piece, and (c) compose the piecewise rational Bezier curves into NURBS curve.

  • Background: Essential oils are of great interest for their analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. We aimed to study the content of the essential oil of the Origanum vulgare of the Armenian highlands (OVA) in different periods of vegetation and to investigate its antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects in mice (in vivo) and cytotoxic action in cultured cells (in vitro). OVA essential oil was extracted from fresh plant material by hydro-distillation. Methods: For OVA essential oil contents determination the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method was used. Formalin and hot plate tests and analysis of cell viability using the methyl-thiazolyl-tetrazolium (MTT) assay were used. Results: The maximal content of β-caryophyllene and β-caryophyllene oxide in OVA essential oil was revealed in the period of blossoming (8.18% and 13.36%, correspondently). In the formalin test, 4% OVA essential oil solution (3.5 mg/mouse) exerts significant antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects (P = 0.003). MTT assay shows approximately 60% cytotoxicity in HeLa and Vero cells for 2.0 µL/mL OVA essential oil in media. Conclusions: The wild oregano herb of Armenian highlands, harvested in the blossoming period, may be considered as a valuable source for developing pain-relieving preparations.

  • Objectives This study observed the efficacy of bee venom pharmacopuncture on the treatment of Molluscum Contagiosum commonly manifesting in children. Methods 104 patients admitted for Molluscum Contagiosum at Love Blossoming Oriental medicine clinic from August 2005 to August 2006 were administered with Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture and measured and analyzed changes in symptoms. Results 1. Regardless of age or duration of Molluscum Contagiosum, all 104 patients showed improvement. 2. Recurrence of Molluscum Contagiosum was not noticeable when treated with Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture, and the duration of treatment was significantly shorter than treating with conventional allopathic ointment. 3. Regardless of size or location of Molluscum Contagiosum, most cases improved with one or two treatments. Conclusion Based on above findings, we can deduce Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture has superior anti-viral effects on the pox virus of molluscum contagiosum (MCV1,2).

  • Woodcraft activity is inseparable with our ordinary life and its relevant research should be consistently maintained because it has significant educational value to blossoming students. These days, which interest in woodcraft is rapidly expanding from early childhood to old age, this study was done to provide images to those who work in this field or who have interest. Out of the 43 jewelry and gift boxes used in this study, species of white which has low proportion of packing materials consists of species of Fir (Abies spp), Birch (Betula spp) and Amercia basswood (Tilia americana Linnaeus) and the higher proportion species of Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla), Bayor (Pteorospermum diversifolium Bl), Snakewood (Piratinera guianensis aubl.) and Bintangor (Calophhyllum spp.) were used in valuable products. It was showed that out of 56 works selected from '400 Wood Boxes', the species of Walnut (Juglans regia), Cherry (Prunus serotina), Wenge (Milletia laurentii De. wild), Ebony (Diospyros spp.), Ash (Fraxinus spp.) and Cocobolo (Dallbergia cultrata Grah.) were frequently used.
