후판 소재를 적용한 파인 블랭킹 금형 수명에 관한 연구 (Experimental Study on the Mold Life of Fine Blanking Using Thick Plate Materials)

  • Fine blanking is a high-precision process combining principles of metal stamping and cold forming. Unlike conventional metal stamping, fine blanking uses a special triple action such as V-ring force, counter force, shearing force. This study performed the effect of pocket-shaped compression molding on the mold life of the fine blanking using the 7.4mm thick SM45C material. In order to determine the lifespan of the punch and die in the fine blanking molds, a trial mold was manufactured and various punch materials were selected to perform the mold life test. A study on the life of a fine blanking mold by applying a thick plate material was experimentally performed through a mold test.

  • IC lead frame needs the precision shape for good efficiency. In the blanking process, there are many parameter effected the dimensional accuracy : lead width, blanking order, striper force, tool clearance etc. In this research, the4 undesirable defects appeared in the final blanking process. so we measured the deflection of lead according to the stripper force using $PAM-STAMP_{TM}$. In the result, the deflection was decreased by increasing the stripper force properly. and we changed the blanking order on the test model. In the blanking order, deflection is good from the outer line position blanking to center line position. so we can design the precision die without tryout by the prediction of the lead deflection.

  • The precision blanking of thin sheet metal is important process on production of precision electronic machine parts such as IC leadframe. In the blanking process, the factors that friction coefficient, tool clearance, material properties are the most important factors in the precision blanking process, because these factors affect the sheared face of product, side forces to punch during blanking process and surface condition after blanking process. So, many investigations have been performed. But, the former studies did not take up the characteristic of material. In this paper, in order to investigate the characteristic of blank, such as K(strength coefficient) and n(strain hardening coefficient), on the sheared face of blank and the side force to punch, FE-simulation has been analyzed by means of DEFORM-2D. To obtain input Parameters on FE-simulation, tensile and friction test has been done.

  • The clad sheet material is produced by a roll-bonding process of one or more materials with different properties. Good formability of clad sheet material is an essential property in to deform a clad metal sheet into a part or component. Performance of the clad sheet material largely depends on interfacial bond strength between different materials. In this study, interfacial bond strength of STS/Al clad sheet was analyzed by varying experimental parameters using a blanking process. Experimental parameters are the punching speed, clearance, and stacking order of plate materials. In addition, blanking test results were compared with bond strengths measured by the T-peel test, that analyzes interface bonding strength of the standard clad sheet. The blanking process was analyzed by the finite element method under the sticking condition of interface of different materials, and experimental results and analysis results were compared.

  • Fine-Blanking is an advanced and precision stamping process, by which a component with precise geometry and smooth cut surface can be produced without any further major secondary operations. By applying the Fine-Blanking technology, the significant improvement of the component should be obvious. As the components are with good shape, smooth surface and precise size, they can be ready for assembly without any further secondary operations. The productivity is increased, the production cycle time and the component cost are significantly reduced. We apply the fine-Blanking for chain sprocket. And do Mecanical test for compress strenth. impaact, roughness, Brinell hardness, dimensional stability.

  • In recent automotive industries, fine blanking technology widely used in production of components with relatively thick gauges in brake systems, seat recliner, door locks, and auto transmission systems. Due to its advantages to obtain almost final product quality using fine blanking forming process without additional finish machining processes, consequently saving the production costs. In this paper we intended to develope the small sized module gear toothed dual seat recliner sector gear(0.5mm module) for car seats using fine blanking process which needed semi piercing with computer simulation and a lot of try and errors to achieve required accuracy and geometric quality. However through the some corrections of tool geometries with tryout test, we could get successful results.

완전 디지털 능동위상배열 안테나의 효과적인 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법 (An Effective Method to Form Side-Lobe Blanking Beam of Fully Digital Active Phased Array Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 능동위상배열 안테나를 간략히 소개하고 주 빔의 부엽을 차단하기 위해 적용된 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법에 대해 기술하였다. 그리고 안테나 주 빔 및 부엽 차단 빔 설계 결과와 안테나 근접전계 측정 결과로부터 안테나 성능을 검증하였다. 다음으로 기존의 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔 운용 방식 보다 채널수를 줄이기 위해 단일 채널 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법을 제안하고, 제안한 방법으로 부엽 차단 안테나에 대한 소자별 가중치 분포를 설계하였다. 마지막으로 설계된 단일 채널 부엽 차단 빔 패턴과 차단 능력을 검증하고 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔과 비교하였다. 또한, 디지털 능동위상배열 안테나의 수신 근접전계 시험을 통해 측정한 이중 채널 부엽 차단 빔과 제안된 단일 채널 부엽 차단 빔 패턴 및 부엽 차단 성능을 비교/검증함으로써 제안된 부엽 차단 빔 형성 방법에 대한 유효성을 확인하였다.

리드 프레임 블랭킹 공정의 마찰특성에 관한 연구 (Friction Characteristics on the Sheet Metal Blanking of Leadframe)

  • IC leadframe needs precision shape for good efficiency. Friction conditions also have a significant impact on blanking deformation. Therefore, studying the friction produced by the tribology between die and materials becomes necessary. In this study, in order to measure mechanical properties and frictions for leadframe materials such as Ni alloys and coppers, tensile test and straight pulling friction test are executed. In particular, the effect of clearance on the blanking characteristics depending on friction coefficient is examined by finite element simulation. From the finite element simulation, the metal flow, side pressure of punch and crack initiation are evaluated according to the leadframe materials.

  • Fine blanking can be considered as a manufacturing process capable of producing sheet metal parts with completely smooth edges that may be hardly obtained by conventional shear-cutting procedures. This fact, together with the considerable economic advantages offered by this process, has been responsible for the rapid acceptance of fine blanking throughout the manufacturing industry all over the world, and the discovery of many new applications. This study was performed to investigate the effect of clearance and V-ring shape on the quality of sheared surface in a fine blanking process. The critical value needed to apply the normalized Cockcroft-Latham fracture criterion to the simulation of fine blanking is obtained by correlating the result of finite element analysis and that of experiment for the uniaxial tensile test. From finite element analysis of an axisymmetric fine blanking process, it has been found that punch load, die-roll depth, burnish zone size and shape of sheared surface are considerably influenced by clearance and V-ring shape.

  • The blanking interface between an ES system and a radar system on the same platform cause the unwanted radar signal separation in the process of the signal measurement of the ES system. In this paper, we propose the novel radar signal blanking method for ES. The proposed method extracts a standard of judgement which we can decide whether a radar signal is separated by the blanking interface and presents how to merge the separated signals. Test result is presented to show the performance of the proposed method.
