HPT : A Prototype of an Educational Presentation Tool for Better Understanding

  • In this paper, we describe an educational tool for presentation which shows teacher's whole handwriting process to learners named HPT(Handwriting Presentation Tool). We assume that presenting writing processes has rich educational information. We believe this information influences learners' understandings of the provided learning contents. Animation functions of popular presentation tools are not enough to represent this information. Our presentation tool enables the lessons with a new type of presentation slides which combine advantages of traditional blackboards and popular presentation tools.

  • The present design, which is English Zone Development Project for 'G' Elementary School at Seo gu, Incheon, contained various booths for experiential learning corners as well as spaces of teaching learning through group study, dramas and role plays, breaking away from the structure and atmosphere of traditional language labs, and at the same time it include a school building as an affiliated space where the whole students can gather for discussion and learning. The general design concept adopted the atmosphere of an exotic street, installing five theme booths (airport, bank, hospital, book/game store and shop) along the wall and applying the image of road to the floor in order to perform role plays. The blackboard and furniture were also designed to produce the atmosphere of street so that elementary students take interest and actively participate in learning.

  • Dynamic and explicit ordering of strategies is a key process in modeling knowledge-level problem-solving behavior. This paper addressed the important problem of howl to make the scheduler more knowledge-intensive in a way that facilitates the acquisition, integration, and maintenance of the scheduler control knowledge. The solution a, pp.oach described in this paper involved formulating the scheduler task as a heuristic classification problem, and then implementing it as a classification expert system. By doing this, the wide spectrum of known methods of acquiring, refining, and maintaining the knowledge of a classification expert system are a, pp.icable to the scheduler control knowledge. One important innovation of this research is that of recursive heuristic classification : this paper demonstrates that it is possible to formulate and solve a key subcomponent of heuristic classification as heuristic classification problem. Another key innovation is the creation of a method of dynamic heuristic classification : the classification alternatives that are selected among are dynamically generated in real-time and then evidence is gathered for and aginst these alternatives. In contrast, the normal model of heuristic classification is that of structured selection between a set of preenumerated fixed alternatives.

  • 2011년 정부가 발표한 스마트 교육 추진 전략으로 인해 기존 전자칠판시스템의 활용도가 더 높아질 것으로 전망된다. 한편, 기존의 전자칠판시스템에서 자체적으로 제공하는 판서 소프트웨어들은 다양한 기능들을 제공하지만 실제 활용 빈도는 매우 낮으며 사용 방법이 복잡하기 때문에 사용자 관점에서 직관적인 인터페이스와 사용 방법이 복잡하지 않은 판서 소프트웨어가 더 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 현재 많은 관심을 끌고 있는 스마트 교육 환경에서 모든 강사들이 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 전자칠판시스템용 판서 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 시스템의 라우팅 구성 장애를 진단하기 위한 규칙과 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 라우팅 구성 장애 관리를 위하여 네트워크 구성 관리 규칙, 라우팅 구성 장애 진단 규칙을 제안하였으며 후향 추론 알고리즘을 기반으로 이런 규칙간의 상호 연동을 위하여 메타 규칙을 적용하였다. 제안한 규칙과 알고리즘을 시나리오에 기반하여 규칙, Blackboard, 목표의 변화 과정을 보여줌으로써 실험 결과를 제시하였다. 시스템의 TCP/IP 네트워크 구성 관리와 관련하여 시스템에서 발생할 수 있는 네트워크 장애들 중에서 라우팅 구성 장애를 진단하기 위한 규칙 및 추론 알고리즘을 제안함으로써 이질적이고 급변하는 네트워크 환경에 쉽게 대처할 수 있는 시스템 개발을 위한 방법론을 제시하고자 한다

Location Management & Message Delivery Protocol for Multi-region Mobile Agents in Multi-region Environment (다중 지역 환경에서 이동 에이전트를 위한 위치 관리 및 메시지 전달 기법)

  • Location management and message delivery protocol is fundamental to the further development of mobile agent systems in a multi-region mobile agent computing environment in order to control mobile agents and guarantee message delivery between them. However, previous works have some problems when they are applied to a multi-region mobile agent computing environment. First, the cost of location management and message delivery is increased relatively. Second, a tracking problem arises. finally, cloned mobile agents and parent-child mobile agents do not get dealt with respect to location management and message delivery. In this paper, we present a HB (Home-Blackboard) protocol, which is a new location management and message delivery protocol in a multi-region mobile agent computing environment. The HB protocol places a region server in each region and manages the location of mobile agents by using intra-region migration and inter-region migration. It also places a blackboard in each region server and delivers messages to mobile agents when a region server receives location update form them. The HB protocol can decrease the cost of location update and message passing and solve the tracking problem with low communication cost. Also, this protocol deals with the location management and message passing of cloned mobile agents and parent-child mobile agents, so that it can guarantee message delivery of these mobile agents and pass messages without passing duplicate messages.

  • The most common way that people communicate is by speaking or writing natural languages.But if people use computers in the modern technology,they should learn artificial programming languages.If computers could understand what people mean when people speak or type natural languages,people would use the computers more easily and naturally.but there is a problem.The language which people use has vagueness.For example,the convential computer system cant's handle the subjective feeling like 'tall' or 'young'.So peole must specify the exact threshold like 'more'than 25 ages'.We have developed the knowledge-based natural language question answering system which can handle sentences having fuzzy concepts by using blackboard model.Our goal of this research is to develop a portable question answering system as interface for database systems or understanding systems.

  • In this paper, we present an object-oriented stereotactic radiosurgery planning system, which accepts medical images such as CT and angiography, transforms the coordinates to a reference frame coordinate, calculates dose distributions, and finally displays isodose curves over the images. The user finds an adequate one for radiosurgeries after performing computer simulations on different treatment parameter sets. The object-oriented design concept was fully applied to the system composed of seven manager objects of different classes: a patient information manager, a user-interface manager, a coordinate transformation manager, a blackboard manager, a dose calculation manager, an isodose curve display manager, and a report manager. All the user interactions are carried out through the use of mouse buttons. The performance of the system was verified by four physicians and two medical physicists, and now is being used in two clinical sites.

A Study on Female Teachers' Clothing Wear Practice and Wearing Sensation depending on the Variables of Construction Factors (여교사의 근무시 의복착용 실태와 구성요인에 따른 착용감)

  • The aim of this study is to get the basic data to design the clothing for the female teachers. In this study, we survey the practice of the wear in the spring and the fall of the 422 female teachers in primary, middle and high school, and their wearing sensation according to clothing construction factors. The results are as follows: first, the female teachers frequently wear blouse and skirt, jacket and blouse, jacket and T-shirts, cardigan and T-shirts in upper wear. Second, most female teachers had troubles in their clothing at work. They had serious troubles in writing on the blackboard, due to the improper form and. length of the sleeves, and the inconvenience of their skirt is due to the improper length, while they go up the strains. Third, the comfortable factors of the female teachers' blouse are as follows; round neck line, soutien and peter pan collar, sleeve attatched bodice with a little loose armhole, $10{\sim}20cm$ under from waist in length, front slit, and fastening bottons. In case of skirt, they perceive A-lined, flared, pleats skirt more convieniently than tight one, which are 10cm under from kneeline in length, side fastening system, back slit.

  • Through the development of computer and multimedia, many different kinds of theories about instructional method are presented. Especially, many lectures in associated with E-learning are done. In mathematics teaching, mathematica-algebra system lecturing, computer and Maple Matlab lecturing etc, are accomplished. There are many controversies among educators in problems originated by computer teaching. In this paper, we going to make a research about problems which are caused by mathematics computer-based education and present a desirable way of computer based education through studying comprehension rate and application ability among learner who uses omputer learning and other learner who uses exiting blackboard-based learning with statistical analysis after sampling test
