In the development of a production process scheduling system a collaboration method must be defined for the cooperation among submodules within the system. The blackboard architecture is exploited for solving the collaboration problem, which is one of the problem solving architecture that belongs to the distributed artificial intelligence. The dynamic states of the problem solving processes are presented in the hierarchically constructed shared working memory called as a blackboard. The communication for the collaboration is done through the blackboard. The problem solving steps are contained in the global controller, one of a component that consists the blackboard architecture, as knowledge. The global controller activates proper submodules based on the knowledge. By applying the blackboard architecture the collaboration problem among submodules in the grating production process scheduling system (GPSS) has been solved as well as the system became adaptable to the future modifications and expansions.

This paper introduces a blackboard system which extracts imbedded road and building structures irom aerial photograph images. The role of three major component(blackboard, knowledge source, and control module)in blackboard system will be illustrated in terms of knowledge representation and control strategies. The hypothesis on a blackboard will be organized in a hierarchical form, the knowledge sources which generate hypothesis and verify them will be shown in detail, and the control module will describe how the knowledge sources can dervie solutions. Especially this paper shows that searching image strutures can be greatly simplified by the use of a mapping image.

Thanks to advanced development of industrial technology, various kinds of the rapidly changing instruments are affecting our life deeply. So, just a few years are enough to regard yesterday's products as old ones due to the newly invented industrial products. Likewise, the blackboards that we face with in our actual life have been developed as completely new ones of new conception for new equipment and environmental harmony, which is completely different from the typical ones. Height-Control and Open-Shut blackboard with notice board can be adjusted to a lecturer's height, the central pan of main blackboard being controlled up and down. During writing on the board, lecturers can fix the board to their convenient position, and after writing, they can fix the height of the board to the students, convenient position. Therefore, students do not have to move their bodies left and right, or up and down, because of the lecture tables or people in front of them. The newly developed blackboard removed such an inconvenience and is suitable for today's new educational environment. In the both sides of the blackboard, general notice boards are attached to the surface, while the supplementary blackboards are fixed to inside so that they can be drawn when necessary. Considering new environments of the blackboards equipped with these diverse functions, we would like to offer the design procedure about the blackboard frames and chalk store boxes and its results.

The role of social networking mobile applications such as WhatsApp in enhancing second language vocabulary learning among English language learners continues to be a subject of interest for many scholars. The current study aimed at examining medical English vocabulary learning among undergraduate students using WhatsApp compared to learning vocabulary via the Blackboard platform during the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, 108 medical students (51 males, 57 females) enrolled in a first semester English for a specific English course participated in the study. A quasi-experimental design was adopted for two groups. Fifty-three students participated in the WhatsApp group and 55 students formed the Blackboard group. A pretest-posttest design was employed to collect data. Results of t-test scores did not show a significant difference between the WhatsApp and Blackboard groups on a vocabulary test. Results of a survey that measured students' opinion of the use of WhatsApp as a platform for learning new vocabulary showed positive perceptions since participants thought that WhatsApp enhanced their learning experience.

By the dissemination of the electronic blackboard systems, smart devices, and digital contents, the Korean government is recently conducting the project that replaces the classic education which utilizes paper textbooks with SMART education using various devices. Also, teachers in the field must be easily able to use SMART education infrastructure for the activation of SMART education. Especially, since the electronic blackboard is expected as a education device which will be most common for teachers, the writing software operated on the this device must supports a simple interface. And the usage of it must be simple. In this paper, we developed the writing software for the electronic blackboard which everyone can use easily. Our writing software supports the basic writing function, the human gesture recognition function which recognizes the user gesture and performs works corresponding with that gesture, and the automatic button alignment function based on the frequency of the usages.

최근의 업무 환경은 네트워크를 이용한 다자간의 통신을 바탕으로 하고 있다. 조직의 주요한 정보 자산들은 다양한 내부 통제(Internal Control)와 각종 보안 시스템을 통해 보호 받고 있으며, 이들에 대한 침입(Intrusion)을 탐지해내고 자산을 보호할 수 있는 방안에 대한 계속적인 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 침입 탐지(Intrusion Detection)를 위한 소프트웨어 기술의 한 방안으로써 Agent에 대한 논의가 이루어지고 있으나, 이들 Agent간의 통신과 시스템 전체적인 측면에서의 조율(Coordinate) 및 관리에 대한 연구 성과는 아직 까지는 미약하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 Intrusion Detection Agent들간의 조율을 담당할 수 있는 구조(Architecture)로서 Blackboard 시스템을 제안하며, 소규모 프로그램을 작성하여 침입 시나리오에 대한 탐지 과정의 시뮬레이션을 통해 본 모델을 평가해보도록 한다.

Giving teachers and students the clean visual environment, the classroom lighting is an important part that prevents the decrease of the visual acuity and improves the studying environment. In order to improve the classroom lighting, a proper blackboard luminaire is to be developed. This paper explains how to design the optical form of the high efficient reflector which offers the uniform illuminance at the vertical surface of the blackboard and, after all, the problem of a large source in reflector design process is explained.

The attackers on Internet-connected systems we are seeing today are more serious and technically complex than those in the past. So it is beyond the scope of amy one system to deal with the intrusions. That the multiple IDSes (Intrusion Detection System) coordinate by sharing attacker's information for the effective detection of the intrusion is the effective method for improving the intrusion detection performance. The system which uses BBA (BlackBoard Architecture) for the information sharing can be easily expanded by adding new agents and increasing the number of BB (BlackBoard) levels. Moreover the subdivided levels of blackboard enhance the sensitivity of the intrusion detection. For the simulation, security models are constructed based on the DEVS (Discrete EVent system Specification) formalism. The intrusion detection agent uses the ES (Expert System). The intrusion detection system detects the intrusions using the blackboard and the firewall responses these detection information.

By using the Blackboard (BB) system in the education sector, the educational process for both academics and students is facilitated. Two data resources were used to evaluate the use of the BB system by students of Umm Al-Qura University: statistical reports issued by the university and an online questionnaire. A total of 989 students from all colleges and different programmes provided by the university responded to the questionnaire survey. According to our findings, most students did not use the BB before the pandemic. Therefore, the sudden conversion to the BB system required intensive training courses. After the data analysis, the relationship between the use of the BB system before the pandemic and the problems students faced during the lockdown was revealed. The most critical issues raised by the respondents were: (1) "The voice of the lecturer went on and off during BB collaborate class", (2) "internet connection of the lecturer went on and off during BB collaborate class" and (3) "High possibility of IT problems during exams".

CPFR(Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment)은 기존의 생산관리 패러다임(Paradigm)을 탈피하는 새로운 협업적 생산 극대화 시키는 데 목적을 두고 있다. CPFR의 핵심은 정보 공유를 기반으로 하는 공급망상 참여 기업간의 협업이며, 이는 매우 불확실한 시장 상황 하에서 끊임없는 발생하는 예외사항들을 처리하는데 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 참여 기업간의 협업을 가능하게 하는 블랙보드 기반 협업 에이전트(Blackboard Based Collaboration Agent) 구조를 제시한다. 또한 화행 이론(Protocol)을 제시하여 참여 기업간의 협동 과정을 제어하는 방식을 구현한다.
