  • The $^1H\;and\;^{13}C$ chemical shifts of flavone and its five derivatives were determined completely using the basic 1D and 2D NMR experiments and molecular modeling. Of the six compounds used for our experiments, the NMR data of three compounds were published previously, but we found that the data of two compounds included wrong assignments. Therefore, we report the corrected data and the complete assignments of NMR data of the other three compounds.

  • We have built a database server called Patome which contains the annotation information for patented bio-sequences from the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). The aims of the Patome are to annotate Korean patent bio-sequences and to provide information on patent relationship of public database entries. The patent sequences were annotated with Reference Sequence (RefSeq) or NCBI's nr database. The raw patent data and the annotated data were stored in the database. Annotation information can be used to determine whether a particular RefSeq ID or NCBI's nr ID is related to Korean patent. Patome infrastructure consists of three componentsthe database itself, a sequence data loader, and an online database query interface. The database can be queried using submission number, organism, title, applicant name, or accession number. Patome can be accessed at http://www.patome.net. The information will be updated every two months.

  • Purpose: Immunosorbent assay most commonly used in the laboratory and commercial third-party quality control material is a substance that provided by BIO-RAD. However, in Reference Sheet by radioimmunoassay test kit or a measuring device for the mention of Acceptable Range is somewhat lacking. Radioimmunoassay for the inspection of test results by setting Acceptable Range to increase the objectivity of the recommendations on the data accumulated by the manufacturer listed in the Reference Sheet is to be issued. Materials and Methods : In our hospital since 2009 partially BIO-RAD using quality control materials in 2011, excluding certain items, some items were most of the BIO-RAD third-party quality control materials are used. Thus, internal quality control data accumulated BIO-RAD's Unity Real Time program by using the items were measured. Results : BIO-RAD using quality control material items were about 50 of the 20 Point Data averages, standard deviations, variation coefficients were calculated to measure the Acceptable Range of kit, automated immunoassay attributed Roche Elecsys / E170 / cobas e Systems the measures and compared. Conclusions : BIO-RAD QC materials commonly used hospital and peer group by setting the measurement kit, suitable for laboratory equipment for radioimmunoassay of Acceptable Range manufacturer recommendation to increase the objectivity of the test results by national and international recognition for radioimmunoassay should seek to increase.

  • Biobank Impact Factor (BIF), which is a very effective criterion to evaluate the activity of biobanks, can be estimated by the citation information of biobanks from scientific papers. We have developed a program, ManBIF, to investigate the citation information from PDF files in the literature. The program manages a dictionary for expressions to represent biobanks and their resources, mines the citation information by converting PDF files to text files and searching with a dictionary, and produces a statistical report file. It can be used as an important tool by biobanks.

  • In this paper, we propose a telemedicine system based ECG data using a bio-signal meter and a smart device for treating faraway patients. This system is composed of a patch-shaped portable bio-signal meter, patient's smart device application, and doctor's PC software. Using these components, doctors and patients can do telemedicine. First, a patient measures his own ECG signal with a bio-signal meter and send the data to a doctor using a smart device application. Then, the doctor checks the ECG data, and make and send a diagnosis chart to web server. Likewise, doctors and patients can be offered a medical environment without time and space restraints. Applying this system to real medical system can improve the problem of low accessibility and efficiency and also can reduce medical expenses.

  • In the present study, we report 1H and 13C NMR data of 19 methoxyflavonol derivatives with different substitution patterns on A- and B-ring. In addition, the influence of the methoxy substituents in A- and B-ring on the 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts is discussed: the 1H and 13C chemical shifts of and the number of methoxyl groups provided information allowing elimination of many structural isomers from consideration and in certain instances greatly simplified structural elucidation.

  • Biometric information computing is greatly influencing both a computing system and Big-data system based on the bio-information system that combines bio-signal sensors and bio-information processing. Unlike conventional data formats such as text, images, and videos, biometric information is represented by text-based values that give meaning to a bio-signal, important event moments are stored in an image format, a complex data format such as a video format is constructed for data prediction and analysis through time series analysis. Such a complex data structure may be separately requested by text, image, video format depending on characteristics of data required by individual biometric information application services, or may request complex data formats simultaneously depending on the situation. Since previous bio-information processing computing systems depend on conventional computing component, computing structure, and data processing method, they have many inefficiencies in terms of data processing performance, transmission capability, storage efficiency, and system safety. In this study, we propose an improved biosensing converged big data computing architecture to build a platform that supports biometric information processing computing effectively. The proposed architecture effectively supports data storage and transmission efficiency, computing performance, and system stability. And, it can lay the foundation for system implementation and biometric information service optimization optimized for future biometric information computing.
