A Study on the robust fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control method for the closed-loop control systems (폐회로 제어시스템의 강인한 고장진단 및 고장허용제어 기법 연구)

  • This paper presents a robust fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control method for the control systems in closed-loop affected by unknown inputs or disturbances. The fault diagnostic scheme is based on the disturbance-decoupled state estimation using a 2-stage state observer for state, actuator bias and sensor bias. The estimated bias show the occurrence time, location and type of the faults directly. The estimated state is used for state feedback to achieve fault tolerant control against the faults. Simulation results show that the method has definite fault tolerant ability against actuator and sensor faults, moreover, the faults can be detected on-line, isolated and estimated simultaneously.

  • This paper presents the reconfigurable flight controller in the presence of jammed actuator fault using the adaptive sliding mode control scheme. It is developed under the assumption that the control surface fault cannot be detected and the positions of stuck control surfaces are unknown. It is well known that sliding mode controller shows good performance for the systems with various uncertainties. None-operating stuck actuator makes the system behave like bias which degrades the system performance and sometimes destabilizes the system.   • In this paper, dual bias control circuit and PBG(Photonic BandGap) structure have been employed to improve PAE(Power Added Effciency) of the Doherty amplifier on Input power level. The gate and drain bias voltage has been controlled with the envelope of the input RF signal and PBG structure has been employed on the output port of Doherty amplifier. The proposed Doherty amplifier using dual bias controlled circuit and PBG has been improved the average PAE by 8%, $IMD_3$ by -5 dBc. And proposed Doherty amplifier has a high efficiency more than 30% on overall input power level, respectively.

  • Both negative and positive substrate bias effects on the structural properties and field-emission characteristics are investigated. carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are grown on Ni catalysts employing an inductively-coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition (ICP-CVD) method. Characterization using various techniques, such as field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), Auger spectroscopy (AES), and Raman spectroscopy, shows that the physical dimension as well as the crystal quality of CNTs grown can be changed and controlled by the application of substrate bias during CNT growth. It is for the first time observed that the prevailing growth mechanism of CNTs, which is either due to tip-driven growth or based-on-catalyst growth, may be influenced by substrate biasing. It is also seen that negative biasing would be more effectively role in the vertical-alignment of CNTs compared to positive biasing. However, the CNTs grown under the positively bias condition display much better electron emission capabilities than those grown under negative bias or without bias. The reasons for all the measured data regarding the structural properties of CNTs are discussed to confirm the correlation with the observed field-emissive properties.

  • This paper describes the design and performance verification of a pitch momentum bias control system being built by students at the Space System Research Laboratory(SSRL). HAUSAT-2 ADCS(Attitude Determination and Control of Subsystem) op-elation mode is divided into two parts, initial mode and on-orbit mode. This paper describes design of the HAUSAT-2 performance of attitude control results using pitch momentum bias control method in initial mode and on-orbit mode and momentum dumping method.

  • ITO films were deposited on polyethylene terephthalate substrate by a dc reactive magnetron sputtering using rf bias without substrate heater and post-deposition thermal treatment. The dependency of rf substrate bias on plasma sputter processing was investigated to control energetic particles and improve ITO film properties. The substrate was applied negative rf bias voltage from 0 to -80 V. The composition of indium, tin, and oxygen atoms is strongly depended on the rf substrate bias. Oxygen deficiency is the highest at rf bias of -20 V. The electrical and optical properties of ITO films also are dominated obviously by negative rf bias.

  • In this thesis, 50W Doherty amplifier was designed and implemented for Beyond 3G's repeater and base-station. Auxiliary amplifier of doherty amplifier was implemented by Gate bias control circuit. Though gate bias control circuit solved auxiliary's bias problem, output characteristics of doherty amplifier was limited. To enhance the output characteristic relativize Drain control circuit And To improve power efficiency make 3-way Doherty power amplifier. therefore, 3-way GDCD (Gate and Drain bias Control Doherty) power amplifier is embodied to drain bias circuit for General Doherty power amplifier. The 3-way GDCD power amplifier composed of matching circuit with chip capacitor and micro strip line using FR4 dielectric substance of specific inductive capacity(${\varepsilon}r$) 4.6, dielectric substance height(H) 30 Mills, and 2.68 Mills(2 oz) of copper plate thickness(T). Experiment result satisfied specification of amplifier with gains are 57.03 dB in 2.11 ~ 2.17 GHz, 3GPP frequency band, PEP output is 50.30 dBm, W-CDMA average power is 47.01 dBm, and ACLR characteristics at 5MHz offset frequency band station is -40.45 dBc. Especially, 3-way DCHD power amplifier showed excellence efficiency performance improvement in same ACLR than general doherty power amplifier.

High Gain and High Efficiency Class-E Power Amplifier Using Controlling Drain Bias for WPT (드레인 조절회로를 이용한 무선전력전송용 고이득 고효율 Class-E 전력증폭기 설계)

  • In this paper, a high-efficiency power amplifier is implemented by using a drain bias control circuit operated at low input power for WPT(Wireless Power Transfer). Adaptive bias control circuit was added to high-efficiency class-E amplifier. It was possible to obtain the overall improvement in efficiency by adjusting the drain bias at low input power. The proposed adaptive class-E amplifier is implemented by using the input and output matching network and serial resonant circuit for improvement in efficiency. Drain bias control circuit consists of a directional coupler, power detector, and operational amplifier for adjusting the drain bias according to the input power. The measured results show that output powers of 41.83 dBm were obtained at 13.56 MHz. At this frequency, we have obtained the power added efficiency(PAE) of 85.67 %. It was confirmed increase of PAE of an average of 8 % than the fixed bias from the low input power level of 0 dBm ~ 6 dBm.

Precision orbit determination with SLR observations considering range bias estimation

  • The unexpected observation condition or insufficient measurement modeling can lead to uncertain measurement errors. The uncertain measurement error of orbit determination problem typically consists of noise, bias and drift. It must be removed by using a proper estimation process for better orbit accuracy. The estimation of noise and drift is not easy because of their random or unpredictable variation. On the other hand, bias is a constant difference between the mean of the measured values and the true value, so it can be simply removed. In this study, precision orbit determination with SLR observations considering range bias estimation is presented. The Yonsei Laser-ranging Precision Orbit Determination System (YLPODS) and SLR NP (Normal Point) observations of CHAMP satellite are used for this work. The SLR residual test is performed to estimate the range bias of each arc. The result shows that we can get better orbit accuracy through range bias estimation.

Factors Associated with the Weight Bias Internalization of the Girls in Early Adolescence (초기 여자 청소년의 체중편견내재화 관련 요인)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors (biological, psychological, interpersonal, and contextual factors) associated with the weight bias internalization of the Korean girls in early adolescence. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. Data was collected from 233 girls aged 12~14 years with a self-reported questionnaire. With multiple regression analysis, the factors associated with the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence were analyzed. Results: Of psychosocial factors, fear to fat (anti-fat attitude) (β=.43, p<.001) was associated with the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence. In addition, attachment with teachers (β=-.11, p=.029) of an interpersonal factor and perceived socio-cultural pressure regarding weight control (β=.34, p<.001) of a contextual factor were associated with the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence. Conclusion: For releasing the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence, decreasing anti-fat attitude and socio-cultural pressure regarding weight control should be primarily required through social efforts including community and school based interventions.
