Bi-sticking Coefficient of Bi-superconducting Thin Film Prepared by IBS Method

  • BSCCO thin films are fabricated via a co-deposition process by an ion beam sputtering with an ultra-low growth rate, and sticking coefficients of the respective elements are evaluated. The sticking coefficient of Bi element exhibits a characteristics temperature dependence : almost a constant value of 0.49 below 730$^{\circ}C$ and decreases linearly with temperature over 730$^{\circ}C$. This temperature dependence can be elucidated from the evaporation and sublimation rates of bismuth oxide, Bi$_2$O$_3$ from the film surface. It is considered that the liquid phase of the bismuth oxide plays an important role in the Bi(2212) phase formation in the co-deposition process.

Targeted alpha therapy (TAT) for cancer using metallic radioisotopes

  • Targeted alpha therapy (TAT) based on metallic radionuclides has attracted a lot of attention lately due to its impressive therapeutic efficacy displayed in couple of clinical studies for cancer. Representative metallic radionuclides emitting alpha-particle include 225Ac, 213Bi, and 227Th, and there have been variety of TAT formulations based on different targeting moiety and chelating agents. In this review, we introduce strategies to label metallic radioisotopes with biomolecules and look at some of recent preclinical and clinical results of TAT for cancer.

Microwave Dielectric Properties and Microstructure of $BiNbO_4$ Ceramics ($BiNbO_4$세라믹스의 유전 특성과 미세구조에 관한 연구)

  • Microwave dielectric properties of $BiNbO_4$ containing CuO and $V_2O_5$(BN ceramics). BN ceramic with 0.07wt% $V_2O_5$ and 0.03wt% CuO (BNC3V7) was sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ where it is possible for these to be co-fired with Ag electrode. The dielectric constant of 44.3, TCF (Temperature Coefficient of resonance Frequency) of 2 ppm/$^{\circ}$ and Q${\times}f_o$ value (product of Quality value and resonance Frequency) of 22,000GHz could be obtained from those ceramics. It is observed that orthorhombic structure was stable $1000^{\circ}C$. As sintering temperature increases, the dielectric properties decreased. The main reasons were abnormal grain growth and the main peak of triclinic moved from the main peak of orthorhombic.

  • Piezoelectric-based hydraulic actuator is a hybrid device consisting of a hydraulic pump driven by piezoelectric stacks that is coupled to a conventional hydraulic cylinder via a set of fast-acting valves. Nowadays, such hybrid actuators are being researched and developed actively in many developed countries by requirement of high performance and compact flight system. In this research, a piezoelectric hybrid actuator has been designed and tested. To achieve bi-directional capabilities in the actuator, solenoid valves were used to control the direction of output fluid. The experimental testing of the actuator in uni-directional and bi-directional modes was performed to examine performance issues related to the solenoid valves. The results showed that the bi-directional performance was slightly lower than uni-directional performance due to air bubble developed in the valve system. A new design to solve the vacuum problem has been proposed to improve the performance of the hybrid actuator.

  • Silver-sheathed Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O wires by the powder-in-tube method were preparated to study on the superconducting properties with cooling conditions. Superconducting wires were cooled down in the furnace, air and liquid $N_2$ after sintering at $840^{\circ}C$. Critical current density of sample cooled in the furnace is $5.1{\times}10^3\;A/cm^2$ at 77K, zero magnetic field and Jc of sample cooled in the air is very low. 2223 high-Tc superconducting phase of sample cooled in the air was distroyed. Therefore, we knew that superconducting wire need to cool slowly to get the high critical current density.

  • The Hyundai Rotem company is due to be conducted the main line Speed Qualification Test as regulated by CFR for SEPTA EMU and SCRRA Bi-level coach project. The regulated test items per 49CFR213.345 are wheel/rail interaction forces and carbody/truck accelerations during running on main line. Therefore the special two sets of instrumented wheelset (IWS) per each project have been made for measuring the interaction forces between wheel and rail at four wheels of one truck during running on main line. In this paper, regarding Speed Qualification Test, the required test items and data analysis method per 49CFR213.345 and the preparation status of instrumented wheelsets (IWS) are introduced.

  • The Sr$\sub$0.8/Bi$\sub$2.4/Ta$_2$O$\sub$9/(SBT) thin films are deposited on Pt-coated electrode(Pt/TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$/Si) using RF magnetron sputtering method. With increasing annealing tempera ture from 600[$^{\circ}C$] to 850[$^{\circ}C$], Bi-layered perovskite phase was crystallized above 650[$^{\circ}C$]. The maximum remanent polarization and the coercive electric field is 11.60[${\mu}$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$], 48[kV/cm] respectively. The dielectric constant and leakage current density is 213, 1.01${\times}$10$\^$-8/ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ respectively at annealing temperature of 750[$^{\circ}C$].

Influence of softening curves on the residual fracture toughness of post-fire normal-strength concrete

  • The residual fracture toughness of post-fire normal-strength concrete subjected up to $600^{\circ}C$ is considered by the wedge splitting test. The initial fracture toughness $K_I^{ini}$ and the critical fracture toughness $K_I^{un}$ could be calculated experimentally. Their difference is donated as the cohesive fracture toughness $K_I^c$ which is caused by the distribution of cohesive stress on the fracture process zone. A comparative study on determining the residual fracture toughness associated with three bi-linear functions of the cohesive stress distribution, i.e. Peterson's softening curve, CEB-FIP Model 1990 softening curve and Xu's softening curve, using an analytical method is presented. It shows that different softening curves have no significant influence on the fracture toughness. Meanwhile, comparisons between the experimental and the analytical calculated critical fracture toughness values further prove the validation of the double-K fracture model to the post-fire concrete specimens.

  • Pb(Z $r_{0.54}$, $Ti_{0.46}$) $O_{3}$에 B $i_{2}$ $O_{3}$를 0.0wt%까지 첨가하여 미세구조, 유전, 압전, 성질에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. B $i_{2}$ $O_{3}$의 고용범위는 약 0.5~0.7wt%정도 이었고 B $i_{2}$ $O_{3}$ 첨가량이 증가함에 따라서 결정립의 크기가 감소하였다. B $i_{2}$ $O_{3}$첨가량이 증가함에 따라 고용한계까지는 $d_{33}$ , tan .delta., .xi.$_{r}$(분극후)값이 증가하였으며 Qm값과 밀도는 감소하였다. $K_{p}$ 값은 B $i^{3+}$ 가 P $b^{2+}$를 치환하므로 형성되는 Pb공공의 형성에 의해 자발분극이 증가됨에 따라 증가하였다.다.

  • In this paper, we proposes a DTV indoor receiving antenna with a gap sleeve monopole structure. The proposed antenna uses a basic structure of a sleeve monopole and gap sleeve. To optimize antenna, we have adjusted the gap between monopole and sleeve, the gap between sleeve and ground. In order to confirm the property of antenna parameters, it was used a commercial software, HFSS. For the antenna fabrication, a FR4 dielectric substrate which has a dielectric constant of 4.7 was used. The size of the antenna was $213mm{\times}40mm{\times}1.6mm$. Frequency band of the fabricated antenna was 432MHz ~ 827MHz, and the bandwidth was 395MHz. The maximum gain of the antenna was 2.19dBi. Consequently, it was confirmed the possibility of practical application of the DTV indoor receiving antenna with a gap sleeve monopole structure.
