The Review on the Theory of Internationalization of Multinational Firms and SMEs

  • Purpose - to examine the theories related to the internationalization of multinational corporations as well as theories related to internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises. Research design, data, and methodology - traditional theories, e.g. eclectic paradigm and behavioral theory and product life cycle etc. were examined and recent advances theories - network theory, entrepreneurship - were also examined to outline the theory of internationalization of firm. Results - the main schools of international researches are divided into two; one is the economics school, the other is the behavioral school. The economics school has considered internationalization as a pattern of investment in foreign markets explained by rational economic analysis of internalization, ownership, and location advantages. Apart from the economics approach, a theory relevant to smaller firms highlights slow and incremental overseas market commitment. Recent research on the network perspective is fast emerging and it can be applied and well explained on the internationalization of smaller firms, focusing on firm behavior in the context of a network of interorganizational and inter-personal relationships Conclusions - Small medium-sized enterprises have been recently rising, however, there has still been little consolidation of literature in internationalization and most of the relevant theories have been still focusing on explaining the globalization of multinational corporations. Little studied on the internationalization in the context of smaller firms which are distinctly differentiated from larger firms including international new ventures, which the motivation to study strongly calls for more information and studied on small medium-sized enterprises.

유아환경교육프로그램이 환경오염에 대한 지식, 정서적 태도, 행동통제감 및 행동의도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of an Early Childhood Environmental Education Program on Knowledge, Emotional Attitude, Perceived Behavior Control, and Behavioral Intention toward Environmental Pollution)

  • The aim of this study was to estimate the effects of an early childhood environmental education program developed on the basis of relationships among preschoolers' knowledge, emotional attitude, and perceived behavior control of environmental pollution on their knowledge, emotional attitude, perceived behavior control, and behavioral intention. A total of 146 five-year-old preschoolers from eight child-care centers in Seoul and Kyoungki Province participated in this study. The following are the main results of this study. first, the higher the level of knowledge the preschoolers had, the more negative emotional attitude they displayed. Furthermore, the more negative emotional attitude they displayed, the higher the level of perceived behavior control they had. On the contrary, the relationships between knowledge and perceived behavior control varied with exposure situation to environmental pollution. Second, after the environmental education program was administered to the experimental group, the preschoolers from experimental group exhibited more knowledge, more negative emotional attitude, higher perceived behavior control and more active behavioral intention towards environmental pollution than those in the control group.

대학생의 '생활예절' 관심도 및 수강 후 태도.행동 변화에 대한 만족도 -숙대생을 대상으로- (A Study on the Degree of Interest to Manners Education before and Attitude and Behavioral Change Satisfaction of Manners Education after for Women's University Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigated on the degree of interest of manners education before and attitude and behavior change satisfaction of post-manners education for Women's University Students. The data for this study were collected from 518 subjects, who were Sookmyng Women's University Students in November, 1996. The subjects were analyzed by Cronbach's α, Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Anova, Factor analysis, Multiple Regression, and Path Analysis. The results were as follows; 1) The general tendency of students' degree of interest of manners education before for Women's University Students was high. 2) Attitude and behavioral change satisfaction of post-manners education was some high. Among the variables, individual life manners, family relations manners, job manner, and wedding ceremony were some high then the other manners areas. 3) The variables of the positive influences for students attitude and behavioral change satisfaction of post-manners education were degree of interest of manners education before, mother's age, grade, major, university life-satisfaction, and mother's job, negative influence variables was family life-satisfaction. 4) The intermediated variable of attitude and behavioral change satisfaction of post-manners education was degree of interest of manners education before and university life-satisfaction. We hope this study to be used as basic data for developing manners education model in university. We also expect further studies on university manners education with precise scale and sampling.

다면적인 가격지각이 의복구매과정에 미치는 영향 - 구매태도 및 행동과의 관계를 중심으로 - (The Multi-Faceted Influence of Price on Consumers' Purchasing Process of Apparel Products - Relationships with Attitudinal and Behavioral Variables -)

  • The multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of apparel products: Relationships with attitudinal and behavioral variables Price has a significant relationship to clothing products not only because of its practical, emotional and symbolic attributes but also because of its wide range and frequent changes. The purpose of this study was to identify the multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of clothing products. Six types of price-perceptions were related to various attitudinal and behavioral variables in a clothing purchase. A questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 720 adult women living in Seoul. Factor analysis, multiple regression, t-test and canconical correlation were employed to analyze the data. Low price consciousness was negatively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and effected the one-price sale, visiting public markets and using interpersonal sources of price information. Value for money consciousness was positively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and consumers' age or marriage and effected price considerations at the on-purchase and post-purchase stage. Price-quality inference was related to product-oriented and market-oriented aspects of clothing while price-prestige inference was related to visual and symbolic aspects of clothing and effected normal-price purchasing. Sale proneness was related to market-oriented aspects of clothing and effected seasonal sale price purchasing and price mavenism was related to market-oriented and visual aspects of clothing and effected price considerations at the pre-purchase stage.

Servicescape in Delivering Values to Customer to Enhance Service Quality and Behavioural Intention

  • Purpose: Nowadays, café shop chains are becoming a trend and growing rapidly in Vietnam. There are numerous people who spend their time in cafes and this has become part of the current lifestyle. Therefore, cafe chains owners compete in offering new cafe concepts to attract customers and deliver their values to customers effectively. To gain competitiveness and attractiveness, a cafe must possess an interesting servicescape and provide a good impression toward customers in a cafe. Therefore, this study is to evaluate the role of servicescape as an antecedent to service quality and behavioral intentions in the Vietnam market. Research design, data, and methodology: The study was conducted through survey questionnaires who had used the service at coffee shop chains in cities of Vietnam. We apply the PLS-SEM method to analyze data and test hypotheses. Results: Servicescape is a second-order construct including hygiene, space, ambiance, design, and equipment. Servicescape also impacts directly on overall service quality, employee service quality, and behavioral intention. Conclusions: Servicescape plays a role as an antecedent for service quality and behavioral intention. Therefore, it confirms the importance of managing servicescape in order to deliver more value to customers through improving service quality so that enhance intention to return to use services in coffee shop chains.

The Effects of Parenting Environment During Pregnancy in Relation to the Child's Later Behavioral, and Emotional Characteristics

  • This study investigates the impact of the shared environment of pregnant women and their unborn child on the later emotional and behavioral characteristics of a child, extending into his or her adulthood. Using a sample of some 16,000 children from the National Child Development Study, the study demonstrated a positive relationship between the quality of the maternal environment and later emotional and behavioral performances during childhood and adulthood. These findings support the study hypothesis, suggesting that parenting environment such as mother‘s employment, husband’s social class and the mother‘s smoking habits during pregnancy has an affection on the later emotional and behavioral development of the child. The dimensions of the child’s emotional and behavioral well-being may be enhanced by therapeutic interventions and/or by helping pregnant women to develop a positive social network.

중등교사 신규임용 후보자 선정 경쟁시험 가정과 교과교육학 출제 문항 분석 (An Analysis of the Home Economics Education Discipline Items in the Teacher Recruitment Examination for Secondary School)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 가정과 임용시험 문항 중에서 교과교육학 문항수준 즉, 문항의 출제비율, 문항형태, 문항의 행동영역, 내용의 포괄성의 분석을 통해 가정교과교육학 문항의 문제점을 파악하고 개선방안을 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 2001-2007 학년도까지의 가정과 임용시험 문항 중에서 교과교육학 문항을 대상으로 문항의 출제비율, 문항형태는 빈도와 비율을 통해, 문항의 행동영역, 내용의 포괄성은 내용분석방법을 통하여 분석하였다. 또한 가정교과교육학 문항의 개선방안을 제안하기 위하여 2001-2007 학년도까지의 과학군, 사회군 교과교육학 문항 중에서 사례문항을 추출하여 논의하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정교과교육학 문항의 출제비율은 2001-2004학년도까지 20-30%로 유동적이었으나 2005학년도 이후 30%로 고정적인 비율을 보였으며 가정교과교육학 각 하위영역의 출제비율은 교육과정(43%), 교수학습법(35%), 교육평가(19%), 교육철학(3%) 순이었다. 둘째, 가정교과교육학 문항형태는 2001-2004학년도까지 단독문항의 형태와 소문항을 포함한 형태의 문항이 양립하였으나 2005-2007학년도 문항형태는 100% 단독문항의 형태로 변화되었다. 셋째, 가정교과교육학 하위영역 문항의 출제내용을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 교육과정 출제내용은 제7차 교육과정 해설서의 내용이 대부분이었고 교수학습법 출제내용은 특정 교수학습모형에 관한 내용이 주를 이뤘다 교육평가에 관한 문항의 출제내용은 수행평가에 관련된 내용이 주로 출제되었다. 마지막으로 가정과교육철학에 관한 문항은 2005학년도에 가정과 사명에 나타난 하버마스의 세 행동체계에 관한 내용이 유일하게 출제되었다. 넷째, 가정교과교육학 문항의 행동영역을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 가정과교육과정 문항의 행동영역은 대다수의 문항이 '단순지식 또는 기억' 수준에 머물러 있어 구체적인 개선방안으로 교육과정의 내용을 조망하는 시각으로 이해하여 실제적 인 교육현장에서의 적용능력을 평가할 수 있는 '복합지식 또는 이해와 적용'의 행동영역을 제안하였다. 가정과교수학습법 문항의 행동영역은 대체로 '복합지식 또는 이해와 적용'으로 나타났으나 좀 더 발전적인 문항의 개선방안으로 특정 교수 학습법에 대한 개념과 원리의 이해만을 요하는 문항의 행동영역에서 좀 더 실제적인 수업상황에서 교수학습이론을 폭넓게 적용하는 '적용' 능력을 좀 더 요하는 문항의 행동영역을 제안하였다. 가정과교육평가 문항의 행동영역 역시 대체로 '복합지식 또는 이해와 적용'을 요하는 문항의 행동영역이라고 볼 수 있으나 좀 더 발전적인 문항으로의 개선방안으로 이론적인 내용의 '이해'만으로 해결할 수 있는 문항의 행동영역에서 가정과의 실제 수행평가 상황에 맞는 평가도구를 찾아 제작하고 활용할 수 있는 '적용' 능력을 요하는 문항의 행동영역을 제안하였다. 다섯째, 가정교과교육학 문항내용의 포괄성을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 가정과교육과정 문항내용은 제7차 교육과정 문서상에 표면적으로 제시된 내용에 한정되어 있어 구체적인 개선방안으로 교육과정의 철학적 이론적 배경, 다양한 교육과정 원리를 활용하는 문항내용 등과 같이 좀 더 이론적이고 원론적인 내용으로의 확대를 제안하였다. 가정과교수학습법 문항내용은 특정 교수학습모형에 관련된 지식을 묻는 내용으로 주로 출제되었다. 이에 구체적인 개선방안으로 특정 교수학습모형의 이론적 토대가 되고 전체적인 교수설계를 하기 위한 기본 바탕이 될 수 있는 교수학습이론에 관한 내용, 또한 현재가정과교육에 있어서 유용한 교수학습법이라고 입증되고 있는 실천적 추론 가정과 수업에 관한 내용으로의 확대를 제안하였다. 가정과교육평가 문항의 출제는 대다수의 문항이 수행평가에 관한 문항내용으로 출제되었다. 이에 구체적인 개선방안으로 문항의 변별도 여부의 판단, 평가문항의 내용 타당도 분석, 평가결과를 해석하는 능력, 평가자의 철학적 관점과 같은 내용으로의 확대를 제안하였다.

아동이 인식하는 어머니의 민주적 양육태도가 아동의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향: 아동의 행동문제와 자아탄력성의 매개효과 (Effects of Mothers' Democratic Parenting on Their Children's School Life Adjustment: Mediating Effects of Children's Behavioral Problem and Self-Resilience Perceived by Children)

  • The study examined whether children's behavioral problem and self-resilience mediated the association between mothers' democratic parenting and their children's school life adjustment perceived by children. We analyzed data from the fourth Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS) that included democratic parenting, behavioral problem, self-resilience, and school life adjustment by 1,971 mothers and fourth grade elementary school children. We identified structural relationships among the variables using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 applying structural equation modeling. The measurement model and structure model had a favorable goodness of fit and the results of structure models on each path were as follows. First, school life adjustment had positive correlations with mother's democratic parenting and self-resilience, but there was a negative correlation between school life adjustment and behavioral problems. Second, the relationship between mother's democratic parenting and self-resilience was mediated by behavioral problems and behavioral problems; in addition, self-resilience mediated the relationship between mother's democratic parenting and school life adjustment. The results of this study suggested that children's school life adjustment and children's confidence to control behavioral problems could improve by promoting self-resilience. If fourth grade children could perceive mother's parenting as affection, monitoring children's behavioral problems could be reduced, and children's self-resilience and school life adjustment could be increased.

행동경제학 관점에서 프라이버시 역설에 관한 연구 (A Study on Privacy Paradox from the Behavioral Economics Perspective)

  • 최근 프라이버시 분야에서는 태도와 행동의 일관성 가정을 토대로 진행되어온 기존의 프라이버시 연구를 부정하고, 프라이버시 태도가 더 이상 행동에 영향을 미치지 않는다고 주장하는 프라이버시 역설 관점의 연구가 점점 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 정보제공의도와 정보제공행동 간의 관계에서 프라이버시 역설 현상이 실제로 존재하는지 확인하고, 왜 이러한 현상이 나타나는지 행동경제학에서 논의되는 이중 프로세스 이론을 통해 설명하고자 하였다. 실증분석 결과, 정보제공의도와 정보제공행동 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 프라이버시 역설의 존재가 확인되었다. 다음으로, 프라이버시 위험은 합리적 사고에 의해 지배되는 프라이버시 의사결정의 결과인 정보제공의도에, 프라이버시 신뢰는 직관적 사고에 의해 지배되는 실제 교환관계의 결과인 정보제공행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되어 이들이 상황에 따라 차별적 역할을 한다는 것이 확인되었다.

심리적 학교 환경과 아동의 문제행동에서 또래 애착의 매개효과 (The Mediating Role of Peer Attachment between Affective School Environment and Children's Behavior Problems)

  • This study aims to examine the mediating role of peer attachment between affective school environments and the problematic behaviors of children using data from the Panel Study on Korean Children 10th wave (2017). Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, Sobel test, and bootstrapping versification were performed using SPSS 28.0 and Process Macro 28.0. The results indicate that controlled and rigid school environments were negatively associated with peer attachment and positively associated with both internal and external behavior problems. Furthermore, peer attachment was negatively associated with both internal and external behavioral problems. Peer attachment completely mediated the link between affective school environments and internal behavioral problems, and partially mediated the link between affective school environments and external behavioral problems. These results show the important role of supportive and democratic school environments regarding peer attachment.
