희생양극 하에서 알루미늄의 해수 부식 거동 (Corrosion Behavior of Aluminium Coupled to a Sacrificial Anode in Seawater)

  • Al-Mg alloy, an open rack vaporizer(ORV) material was reported to be corroded in seawater environments though the ORV material was coupled to thermally sprayed Al-Zn alloy functioning a sacrificial anode. In addition, the corrosion behavior based on the calculated corrosion potential did not match the observed corrosion behavior. Hence, the goal of this study is to get better understanding on Al or Al-Mg alloy coupled to Al-Zn alloy and to provide the calculated corrosion potential representing the corrosion behavior of the ORV material by immersion test, electrochemical tests, and calculation of corrosion and galvanic potential. The corrosion potentials of Al and Al alloys also depended on alloying element as well as surface defects. The corrosion potentials of Al and Al-Mg alloy were changed with time. In the meantime, the corrosion potentials of Al-Zn alloys were not. The corrosion rates of Al-Zn alloys were exponentially increased with zinc contents. The phenomena were explained with the stability of passive film proved by passive current density depending on pH and confirmed by the model proposed by McCafferty. Dissimilar material crevice corrosion (DMCC) test shows that higher content of zinc caused Al-Mg alloy corroded more rapidly, which was due to the fact that higher corrosion rate of Al-Zn makes [$H^+$] and [$Cl^-$] more concentrated within pit solution to corrode Al-Mg alloy. Considering electrochemical reactions within pit as well as bulk in the calculation gives better prediction on the corrosion behavior of Al and Al-Mg alloy as well as the capability of Al-Zn alloy for corrosion protection.

  • In the past days, most of studies about website and Online behavior have been mainly focused on the adoption of website and internet shopping or internet shopping mall. But the model of website revisit behavior has not been made and the leading theory of website usage behavior has not been existed. Lately, many researches on commercial website revisiting behavior are emphasizing the role of intention, attitude, satisfaction in online visiting behavior such as Jarvenpaa et al. [1997, 1999, 2000], Wang et al. [2001], Moon & Kim [2001], Heijden[2003], Sultan et al. [2002], Yoon [2000], Shankar et al. [2002a, 2002b], Mcknight et al. [2002], Chen & Dhillon [2003] and so on. The purpose of this paper is two-folds. The one is to find the affecting factors on the website users' revisit behavior in commercial website and the other is to search more influencing ones on the determinant factors, to analyze research model using in LISREL. The EFA and reliability test was executed by for finding the validity and reliability, covariance matrix analysis was executed for the purpose of testing the 13 hypotheses. The major finding of this paper would be summarized as followed : (1) The roles of satisfaction and attitude to the revisit behavior are very important and both variables have determining effects in commercial website revisit behavior. (2) The determining factors in positively affecting website users' satisfaction are attitude, perceived usefulness, design. (3) The determining factors in positively affecting website users' attitude are perceived usefulness, design, perceived ease of use, and negatively affecting factor was perceived risk in website.

  • The infiltration behavior of molten Al-alloy, microstructures, hardness, and the interfacial reactions of $SiC_p/Al$ composites fabricated by the pressureless infiltration technique were investigated. It was made clear that both the weight fraction of SiC reinforcement and additive Mg content considerably influenced on the infiltration behavior of the molten Al-alloy matrix. Complete infiltration of molten Al-alloy achieved under the conditions that weight fraction of SiC content is more than 30wt%, and additive Mg content is more than 9wt%. Interfacial region of Al-alloy matrix and SiC reinforcement phase, $Mg_2Si$ was formed by the reaction between Mg and SiC. Another reaction product AlN was also formed by the reaction between Al-alloy matrix and gas atmosphere nitrogen.

Ti-33.8wt% Al 금속간 화합물의 고온 산화거동 (High temperature oxidation behavior of Ti-33.8wt% Al intermetallic compounds)

  • The oxidation behavior of a two-phase(Ti3Al+TiAl) intermetallic compound, Ti-33.8wt%Al, has been in-vestigated in air at 800, 900 and $^1000{\circ}C$. Though the isothermal oxidation behavior followed a parabolic law up to 100$0^{\circ}C$ indicating that protective oxide scales were formed, the cyclic oxidation behavior followed a lin-ear law in the entire temperature range tested because flaky or stratified scales were usually spalled from the surface during cooling. During oxidation at 80$0^{\circ}C$, the alloy showed excellent oxidation resistance because continuous protective Al2O3 films were formed on the outermost surface of the alloy. However, above $900^{\circ}C$, the oxidation resistance of the alloy was decreased gradually because relatively non-protective TiO2 scales as well as some of Al2O3 scales were formed on the outer oxide scale. The oxidation mechanism of the alloy at different temperature was proposed.

  • Ageing behavior of the Al-Mg-Si alloy was modeled for the use of optimization of Al forging product. Typical precipitates of Al-Mg-Si alloy are a wide variety of metastable phases (e.g. GP zones, $\beta',\beta'$). These rod shaped particles take a role to hinder the dislocation movement. The precipitation sequence in Al-Mg-Si alloys is quite complex and the strength of precipitate particles differs with the ageing condition. In the present study, the ageing behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloy was investigated by using an industrial grade Al 6061 alloy forged product, which was a perform for an Al impeller for turbo charger. The precipitate hardening models by Esmaeili's approach were used for the analysis of ageing behavior.

  • Al-Mg-Si/Al hybrid alloy was prepared by Duo-casting and the mechanical behavior was evaluated based on their microstructure and mechanical properties. The hybrid aluminum alloy included the Al-Mg-Si alloy with fine eutectic structure, pure Al with the columnar and equiaxed crystals, and the macro-interface existing between Al-Mg-Si alloy and pure Al. The growth of columnar grains in pure Al occurred from the macro-interface. The tensile strength, 0.2% proof stress and bending strength of the hybrid aluminum alloy were almost similar to those of pure Al, and the elongation was much higher than the Al-Mg-Si alloy. The fracture of the hybrid alloy took place in pure Al side, indicating that the macro-interface was well bonded and the mechanical behavior strongly depends on the limited deformation in pure Al side.

  • ORV which vaporizes LNG to NG is consisted of tube and header whose substrate is aluminum alloy. The corrosion of the tube is very severe because of sea water being used as the heating source. In this research to protect ORV substrate material, the corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys was investigated for the sacrificial role of Al-Zn alloy for ORV tubes. The electrochemical behavior of aluminum alloys in sea water was investigated. The corrosion behavior of thermally-sprayed and cladded samples were compared through salt spray tests. Al-Zn alloy can act as a sacrificial anode and cladded Al-Zn alloy has a better corrosion resistance than that of thermally sprayed one. The galvanic effect of Al-Zn to substrate material was conformed from scratched sample tests.

  • Thermomechanical behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloys have been studied to investigate the effect of microstructural features such as pre-existing substructure and distribution of particles on the deformation characteristics. The controlled compression tests have been carried out to get the basic information on how the alloy responds to temperature, strain amount and strain rate. Then hot forging of Al-Mg-Si alloys has been carried out and analyzed by the comparison with the compression tests. Microstructural features after forging have been discussed in terms of the thermomechanical response of Al-Mg-Si alloys. As already well mentioned, we have found that the deformation of Al-Mg-Si at the elevated temperature brought the recovered structure on most conditions. In a certain time, however, abnormally large grains have been found as a result of deformation assisted grain growth, which means that hot forging of Al-Mg-Si alloys could lead to a undesirable microstructural variation and the consequent mechanical properties such as fatigue strength.

Effect of Al Doping Concentration on Resistance Switching Behavior of Sputtered Al-doped MgOx Films

  • In this study, we investigated that the resistance switching characteristics of Al-doped MgOx films with increasing Al doping concentration and increasing film thickness. The Al-doped MgOx based ReRAM devices with a TiN/Al-doped MgOx/Pt/Ti/SiO2 were fabricated on Si substrates. The 5 nm, 10 nm, and 15 nm thick Al-doped MgOx films were deposited by reactive dc magnetron co-sputtering at $300^{\circ}C$ and oxygen partial ratio of 60% (Ar: 16 sccm, O2: 24 sccm). Micro-structure of Al-doped MgOx films and atomic concentration were investigated by XRD and XPS, respectively. The Al-doped MgOx films showed set/reset resistance switching behavior at various Al doping concentrations. The process voltage of forming/set is decreased and whereas the initial current level is increased with decreasing thickness of Al-doped MgOx films. Besides, the initial current of Al-doped MgOx films is increased with increasing Al doping concentration in MgOx films. The change of resistance switching behavior depending on doping concentration was discussed in terms of concentration of non-lattice oxygen of Al-doped MgOx.
