The study aims to explore a new direction for research on buttons by understanding the functions and artistic features of buttons on Western clothing in the 18th and 19th centuries, and to use the findings to develop a textile design. In terms of the research method, the period was set in the 18th and 19th centuries, when decorative features and artistic values of buttons on Western clothing reached theirpeak, while theoretical analysis was made based on literature and previous research papers on Western clothing, websites of the Metropolitan Museum and French Museum of Decorative Arts and other website materials, as well as special exhibition materials of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Textile designs were developed using computer programs, including Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Photoshop, by integrating the reinterpreted motif of buttons in the 18th and 19th centuries and the styles that prevailed at that time. The results are as follows. First, buttons on Western clothing had the following three functions: a practical function, a symbolic function representing the wearer's status, and a decorative function expressing individuality and beauty. Second, buttons in the 18th century were works of art made with various handicraft techniques and were an important medium that expressed the wearer's fashion sense. In addition, buttons in the 19th century were mass-produced as a result of industrialization and took a major step forward with the development of materials and dyeing. Buttons reflected themes of poetry, drama, biblical stories, music and art, lifestyle,, along with the political and social atmosphere that rapidly changed after the revolution and fashion trends. Third, the artistic features and shapes of buttons were reinterpreted to create a design motif, and the design was developed reflecting the characteristic elements of the rococo style of the 18th century and the art nouveau style of the 19th century that can conform to modern fashion, thereby rediscovering the artistic meaning and value implied in buttons. In the future, the research on creative buttons of 20th century artists is expected to be conducted from various perspectives.

Geyonggi-geommu have developed based on the long history of Korean sword dance. Han Sung-joon, the great master of modern music and dance of Korea during the Japanese colonial period, collected and reconstructed folk dances that had disappeared or were cut off due to the policy to obliterate Korean culture through Chosun Music Dance Research Society. Since then, it has been passed down to Kang Sun-young and Kim Geun-hee that has designated as the Intangible Cultural Property No. 53. of Geyonggi-do in 2011. This study focuses on highlighting the uniqueness of Geyonggi-geommu for proper modeling and transmission of Geyonggi-geommu with historical significance so as to understand and preserve the Intangible Cultural Heritage. This study examines the transmission system of Geyonggi-geommu, followed by Kang Sun-young and Kim Geun-hee, originated by the master Han Sung-Joon of Geyonggi-geommu. Geyonggi-geommu has its uniqueness of using the pure Korean dance terminology established by the holder Kim Geun-hee at the time of designation of intangible cultural properties in Gyeonggi-do. The unique features of Geyonggi-geommu are performed and transmitted in two forms, Daemu(Group dance) and Holchum(Solo dance) which are not currently found in other regions. This is meaningful to passed down according to the original form of Geommu(Sword dance). In particular, the Holchum(Solo dance) is a form of artistic dance, showing the beauty of the sword dance during the Chosun Dynasty. In short, Gyeonggi-geommu can be described as an artistic dance with a soft and strong temperament considering its unique features.

This study conducted individual in-depth interviews of tourists from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand who visited Daegu. According to the analysis, Taiwan's target audience conducted an interview at the Chimac Festival in July 2018 at Duryu Park and was a university student as an individual female tourist. She got the information through SNS. The accommodation was guest house and medium and low cost hotel. The main tourist attractions included Seomun Market Night Market, Eworld and Dongseongno. The meals were Anjirang Gopchang and Galbijim in Dongin-dong. Next, the Hong Kong tourist interview was held in May 2018 at the Kwandeung Festival in Duryu Park, and was an individual tourist as a man. Lastly, an interview with a Thai tourist was held in April 2018 at the Donghwa Temple Cherry Blossom Festival in Palgongsan Mountain, and he purchased a travel agent product as a man. Participants of the tour in Daegu were interested in unusual experiences such as beauty, wedding, theme parks, and restaurants that are unique to Korea. What was disappointing was that there were not enough shopping facilities, such as duty free shops, and that the table in the restaurant was inconvenient, and that there were not enough signboards by language for foreigners.

This study investigated the effects of coaching leadership for life care of estheticians on self-efficacy and job satisfaction and the results are presented as follows: First, as a result of analysing the effects of coaching leadership of the subjects on self-efficacy, it was discovered that all the factors of relations (β=.261, p<.001), presentation of direction(β=.238, p<.01), assessment(β=.175, p<.01) and development(β=.170, p<.01) had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on it. Second, as a result of analysing the effects of coaching leadership of the subjects on job satisfaction, it was discovered that relations(β=.403, p<.001), presentation of direction(β=.384, p<.001) and assessment (β=.170, p<.01) had a statistically significant positive(+) effect on it. Third, as a results of analysing the effects of self-efficacy of the subjects on job satisfaction, it was discovered that self-efficacy (β =.707, p<.001) has a statistically significant positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Fourth, as for the relations between coaching leadership and job satisfaction, it was discovered that self-efficacy as a mediator of self-efficacy satisfied a partial mediation condition between presentation of direction, development, assessment, relations and job satisfaction.
This study tried to establish a system of service paradigm by re-examining the Korean play culture through the people who play in the era of King Jeongjo and revealing the integration of modern service culture. The results of this study are as follows. First, King Jeongjo inspired the autonomy and creativity of the participants through the patronage of Changdeokgung Palace and led the renaissance era of Joseon as a creative play. The creative play of the service industry is reborn as a place of innovation that realizes development through a communicative intellectual network. Second, the 60th birthday Jin Chan-yeon and the aesthetics of slowness that evoke artistic play are the language of innovation that transcends language and culture. Artistic play becomes a channel of communication to share happiness with people around the world based on absolute beauty and aesthetic sensibility. Third, Jeongjo was a humanist in Joseon. This humanistic ideology leads to humanistic religion. K-service, which uses religious play as a medium, has a turning point towards healing and happiness as all participants in the service experience sacredness. There is an implication in that it pioneered a service culture by presenting a new paradigm by combining play and service, and laid the groundwork for building a unique area in global business.

The purpose of this study was to develop Team Based Learning (TBL) course for students majoring skin care and analyze the effectiveness as well as derive improvement plans. TBL focuses on putting pre-class learning about learning content and the time saved by it into practice activities that apply what is learned. The ADDIE model and the TBL model were applied as the developmental research methodology, and the 'skin care' subject, which was previously taught by lecture base, was redesigned as a TBL class. In addition, the study developed weekly based pre-class learning materials, quiz items for checking pre-class learning, and the team activities' plan. Then, an experimental study was conducted with 43 university students and the effects of TBL instruction were analyzed as follows. First, students who participated in the TBL class showed higher achievement than those who participated in the lecture class, which is a comparative group, especially in the academic achievement that evaluated the acquisition and application of the major concept. Second, there was no significant difference in pretest and posttest results on problem solving ability and cooperative self-efficacy for TBL students. Third, overall satisfaction with TBL class was 4.0, which is high. The discussion of these findings was described, and three suggestions for improving and researching TBL classes were presented.

The purpose of this study was to explore practical direction of university general education through considering the goal and value by analyzing the effect of learning in students participating in general eduction class on skin care based on service learning. The subjects were 30 students in which female (n=24; 80%) and Juniors (n=16; 53.3%) are most common. Their most common major and religion were humanities and social sciences (n=12; 40.0%) and no-religion (n=21; 70%), respectively. The difference between pre- and post-service learning was analyzed to determine the effect of the service learning on the self-efficacy and the quality of life and the results showed significant difference, indicating the positive effect of service learning in improving the self-efficacy and the quality of life. The score of satisfaction with service learning was found to be 4.12, indicating high satisfaction and the intention to retain service learning was found to be 3.99, indicating they have the intention to retain service learning. In addition, there was no difference in the satisfaction with and the intention to retain service learning depending on the characteristics such as gender, grade, major, and religion. These results showed that the general eduction class on skin care based on service learning had positive effect on the self-efficacy and quality of life of learners. There effects are expected to helpful, through university education in developing a sense of community and strengthening social responsibility of learners as social identities.

Under the digital economy, companies are facing a new business environment. Previous studies with a traditional perspectives on start-ups explained they are at a disadvantaged compared to large companies in mobilizing resources and building new relationships. However, recent researches on the digital economy and platform ecosystems have suggested that digital platforms can be an efficient means of overcoming the liabilities of smallness and newness for start-up companies. Through platforms start-ups can secure routes to mobilize resources, collect and analyze market information. Especially as various platorms are established within categorized industry or market, unique characteristics and market awareness regarding an individual startup company have been formed. Accordingly there is also an advantage that startup companies have umbrella effect by participating in the platform. From this point of view, this study describes the process by which a start-up company effectively utilizes a platform to overcome the liabilities of newness and smallness through the case the study of 'Genie the Bottle'. The results suggest that platforms play a crucial role for start-ups to secure awareness and legitimacy and grow the market in the beauty industry in which high consumer involvement is dominant.

In this study, extracts of gamma-irradiated Aralia continentalis for health and beauty food resources were examined on antioxidant activities and increasing extraction yield. In photostimulated luminescence analysis, non-irradiated (0 kGy) sample showed an intermediate result of 891.00 photon counts (PCs), whereas irradiated (5 and 10 kGy) samples showed positive results of 79,956.67 and 282,498.67 PCs, respectively. The thermoluminescence ratio of non-irradiated samples was 0.018, whereas the values of irradiated samples (5 and 10 kGy) were 0.395 and 0.464, respectively. Electron spin resonance (ESR) analysis as a physical technique for irradiation identification of Aralia continentalis showed a pair of peaks on a space of 6.0 mT in the symmetric ESR spectrums. For phenolics of gamma-irradiated Aralia continentalis, water extracts had the highest amounts of 7.61 mg/g at non-irradiated condition (0 kGy) while 50% ethanol extracts had the highest amounts of 6.86 mg/g at 10 kGy irradiation. 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl scavenging activity of water and 50% ethanol extracts from non-irradiated and irradiated Aralia continentalis were very high (94.99~100.00%). 2,2'-Azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) radical cation inhibitory activity was over 95.00% at $200{\mu}g/mL$ phenolics. Antioxidant protection factor (PF) showed a very high level of activity (1.38~2.51 PF). Thiobarbituric acid reactive substance inhibitory activity was high (70% and 95%, respectively). Thus, treatment of gamma irradiation can be used as a method of storage for long-term preservation of Oriental medicine.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in perceptions between gardens and park functions as recognized by two groups, Group A and Group B, in order to confirm the distinction between concepts and functions and then establish the importance of individual functions. The AHP was used to analyze the importance of each group's perceptions by dividing them into garden and park, Group A and non-Group A, respectively. In Group A, the importance of garden functions were considered in descending order of importance to be cultural function, ecological function, and social function. In the general group, ecological function, cultural function, and social function also appeared, but in a different order of importance. As for the park functions, Group A recognized the importance of functions in a similar order of importance to the gardens: cultural function, ecological function, and social function. Group B thought that social function, ecological function, and cultural function have the same significance. At the major classification level, Group A and Group B emphasized the social function of the parks. Group A recognized the importance of the garden's cultural function as the most important, whereas the general group emphasized the importance of the garden's ecological function. As for the mid-class level, Group A recognized the aesthetic beauty, health, ecological environment protection, and water circulation as important functions of the garden. For Group B, the ecological environment protection, aesthetic beauty, water cycle, and health were important. The concepts and functions of gardens and parks are still largely mixed but are gradually becoming differentiated. As a follow-up study, it is important to systematically manage the functions of gardens by establishing design, construction, and monitoring DB techniques for the garden type and examine the hierarchy of various other gardens.
