다양한 재질에서의 flat-top 빔을 이용한 LIPSS 형성에 관한 연구 (A study of fabrication of LIPSS using flat-top beam with various materials)

  • In this study, laser-induced periodic surface structure (LIPSS) was fabricated on Ni, Si, and GaAs samples using a flat-top beam with a uniform energy distribution that was fabricated using a Gaussian femtosecond laser with a mechanical slit and tube lens. Unlike the Gaussian beam, the flat-top beam has a uniform beam profile, therefore the center and the periphery of the fabricated LIPSS have similar line periodicity. In addition, LIPSS was obtained not only in metals but also in metalloids and metals and metalloid compounds by using the narrow pulse width characteristic of a femtosecond laser.

강관 보강형 충전 각형강관 기둥-보 플랜지 접합부의 인장거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Tensile Behavior of Concrete-Filled Square Steel Tubular Column-Beam Flange Connections with Stiffeners)

  • 본 연구는 콘크리트충전 각형강관을 이용한 기둥-H형 보 접합부에 있어서 시공성과 충전성을 고려하여 강관 기둥을 외부에서 보강한 충전 각형강관 기둥-H형강보접합부를 개발하고자 하며 이러한 접합방식 개발을 위한 기초적 연구로 보의 인장플랜지와 강관기둥 접합부의 인장거동을 실험적으로 관찰하여 제시한 접합부의 내력 및 변형 특성을 파악한다. 시험체의 변수는 각형강관 기둥의 보강 두께(T=9, 18, 27mm)와 높이(H=50, 80mm)로 계획하여 총 4개의 시험체를 제작하였다. 접합부의 항복내력의 평가로 항복선 이론을 적용한 기존의 연구를 수정하여 실험치와 비교한 결과 비교적 좋은 대응을 나타냈다. 본 연구의 접합방식은 외부에서 강관 기둥을 보강하는 간단한 방법으로 보붕괴형의 강접합을 얻을 수 있으며, 콘크리트 충전성을 확보할 수 있어 시공성에 있어서 장점으로 인정된다. 강관기둥의 두께가 8mm 인 것을 고려하면 실제 구조물의 설계에 적용할 수 있는 가능성이 있는 것으로 판단되며, 구체적인 설계방법을 위해서는 추치해석적인 방법에 의한 연구와 보완적인 실험이 필요한 것으로 생각된다.

Design Aspects of a New Reliable Torsional Switch with Excellent RF Response

  • This paper proposes a metal contact RF MEMS switch which utilizes a see-saw mechanism to acquire a switching action. The switch was built on a quartz substrate and involves vertical deflection of the beam under an applied actuation voltage of 5.46 volts over a signal line. The see-saw mechanism relieves much of the operation voltage required to actuate the switch. The switch has a stiff beam eliminating any stray mechanical forces. The switch has an excellent isolation of −90.9 dB (compared to − 58 dB in conventional designs ), the insertion of −0.2 dB, and a wide bandwidth of 88 GHz (compared to 40 GHz in conventional design ) making the switch suitable for wide band applications.

  • A bogie frame of welded type have some problems. Some end beam has cracked. The cracks have profound influence on the safe freight service. The bogie consists of a frame, suspensions, brakes and wheel sets. Various analyses including a numerical simulation using a finite element method, a static load test, a fatigue test, and running test should be carried out to design the bogie. However cracks have been found at some end beams of the bogies mounted on the freight cars running with the high speed. The cracks of the end beam results in deterioration of the brake performance and the running safety. Numerical simulations and dynamic tests are carried out to figure out the causes of cracks in the existing bogie, and the vibrational characteristics of the improved bogie are compared with those of the conventional one. In this reports, the vibration characteristics were dealed with the most pressing matters for the solution of the end beam crack.

I-Beam연속교 내측지점의 소성변형에 관한 연구 (Study on Plastic Deformation of Interior Support at the Continuous I-Beam Bridge)

  • The steel shows plastic deformation after the yield point exceeds. Because of overloads, the plastic deformation occurs at the interior support of a continuous bridge. The plastic deformation is concentrated at the interior support, and the permanence deformation at the interior support remains after loads pass. Because local yielding causes the positive moment at the interior support, it is called "auto moment". Auto moment redistributes the elastic moment. Because of redistribution, auto moment decreases the negative moment at the interior support of a continuous bridge. In this paper, the moment-rotation curve from Schalling is used. The Plastic rotation is computed by using Beam-line method, and auto moment is calculated based on the experiment curve. The design example is presented using limit state criterion.

Array Antenna Design for Ku-Band Terminal of L.E.O Satellite Communication

  • This study is a Ku-band array antenna for the manufacture of low-orbit satellite communication terminals, designed to have miniaturization, high gain, and wide beam width. The transmission of low-orbit satellite communication has a right-rotating circularly polarized wave, and the reception has a left-rotating circularly polarized wave. The 4×8 array antenna was separated for transmission and reception, and it was combined with the RF circuit part of the transmitter and receiver, and was terminated in the form of a waveguide for RF signal impedance matching in the form of a transition from the microstrip line to the waveguide. The 30° beam width of the receiver maximum gain of 19 dBi and the 29° beam width of the transmitter maximum gain of 18 dBi are shown. Through this antenna configuration, the system was configured to suit the low-orbit satellite transmission/reception characteristics.

  • 본 논문에서는 직렬 inter-digital 커패시터와 이중 병렬 인덕티브 쇼트 스텁으로 구성된 double negative(DNG) 전송 선로를 설계하였다. 이러한 DNG 전송 선로는 특정한 주파수 이상에서는 double positive(DPS) 전송 선로의 특성을 가진다. 다시 말해서, 설계된 전송 선로는 DNG와DPS전송 선로의 특성을 주파수에 따라서 동시에 가진다. 누설파 대역에서의 DPS/DNG 전송 선로는 주파수 스캐닝 안테나로 이용되어 질 수 있다. 대칭 누설파 안테나의 분산 특성과 원거리 방사 패턴을 모의실험하였고 제작 및 측정하였다. 모의실험 결과는 측정결과와 대략 일치하였다.

비전 센서를 이용한 유연한 로봇팔의 끝점 위치 측정 (The Tip Position Measurement of a Flexible Robot Arm Using a Vision Sensor)

  • To improve the performance of a flexible robot arm one of the important things is the vibration displacement measurement of a flexible arm. Many types of sensors have been used to measure it, The most popular has been strain gauges which measures the deflection of the beam,. Photo sensors have also been for detecting beam displacement and accelerometers are often used to measure the beam vibration. But the vibration displacement can be obtained indirectly from these sensors. In this article a vision sensor is used as a displacement sensor to measure the vibration displacement of a flexible robot arm. Several schemes are proposed to reduce the image processing time and increase its accuracy. From the experimental results it is seen that the vision sensor can be an alternative sensor for measuring the vibration displacement and has a potential for on-line tip position control of flexible robot systems.

횡파 중 대경사에 따른 소형어선의 동요응답 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Motion Response Characteristics for Large Inclined State of Small Fishing Vessel in Beam Sea Condition)

  • This study conducted wide-tank experiments and numerical calculations for a vessel in various positions such as upright and inclined by 2 and 4 degrees, with the goal of investigating the motion amplitude response of a small damaged fishing boat subject to a beam sea. Numerical calculations were conducted based on the three-dimensional source distribution method. The good agreement of the numerical calculation and experimental results confirmed that the present calculation method can be efficiently used for the initial design of a small fishing boat. In addition, while the chine-line type has been frequently adopted to improve a ship's resistance performance in the design of a small fishing boat, it is considered that the possibility of a deterioration in rolling performance should be thoroughly considered.

덮개층이 있는 마이크로스트립 선로를 이용한 브랜치 선로 결합기 해석 및 설계 (Analysis and Design of Branch Line Coupler using Microstrip Lines with Overlay)

  • 본 논문은 브랜치 선로 결합기를 소형화하는 방법에 대해 기술하였다. 이 방법은 덮개층이 있는 선로를 이용한 방법이다. 덮개층이 있는 선로의 주파수 변화에 따른 특성(분산 및 특성임피던스)을 해석하기 위해 스펙트럴 영역에서의 Immittance 방법과 선분할법(Method of Line)을 이용하였다. 덮개층이 있는 선로에 관한 스펙트럴 영역에서의 Green 함수를 구하고 이를 이용하여 수치적인 결과를 얻었다. 이 결과를 이용하여 덮개층을 갖는 브랜치 선로 하이브리드를 중심주파수 2 GHz에서 설계하고 제작하였다. 실험 결과 유전율 10.2dls 덮개층을 갖는 경우 기존 단일 마이크로스트립 선로로 구현된 결합기보다 31.4% 크기가 줄어들었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 방법은 앞으로 이동통신 빔형성 안테나의 급전선인 Butler Matrix의 크기를 줄이는 방법으로 사용 가능하리라 사료된다.
