A simple preliminary analysis is often useful to check a validity of design alternatives before the detailed analysis phase in the viewpoint of efficiency. This paper describes a preliminary analysis procedure for the selection among basket design candidates for the spent fuel shipping cask of Korean standard nuclear power plant. As the cask should maintain the structural integrity in hypothetical accident condition, the case of 9 m drop is significantly considered as the worst scenario among the accident conditions in structural design viewpoint in this paper. As basket design options, totally four different types are considered and analyzed in the point of structural integrity at drop impact and weldability for fabrication. As a result, an insertion round plate type with densely spaced supports turns out to be the best in both of the viewpoints, though the weld plate type shows a bit more design margin.

Collaborative filtering, among other recommender systems, has been known as the most successful recommendation technique. However, it requires the user-item rating data, which may not be easily available. As an alternative, some collaborative filtering algorithms have been developed recently by utilizing the market basket data in the form of the binary user-item matrix. Viewing the recommendation scheme as a two-class classification problem, we proposed a new collaborative filtering scheme using a regularized discriminant analysis applied to the binary user-item data. The proposed discriminant model was built in terms of the major principal components and was used for predicting the probability of purchasing a particular item by an active user. The proposed scheme was illustrated with two modified real data sets and its performance was compared with the existing user-based approach in terms of the recommendation precision.

A new species of Telestacicola Humes and Stock, 1972 (Copepoda, Rhynchomolgidae) is described as an associate of basket stars (Ophiuroidea) from Korea. The new species Telestacicola turgipes closely resembles T. angoti Humes and Stock, 1973, but is differentiated from the latter species and other congeners by a characteristic exopod of female leg 5 in which the middle of inner margin is protruded, with an angular apex. Doridicola connexus Humes, 1986 and D. micropus Humes, 1973, both associated with a basket star, are transferred to the genus Telestacicola, while Telestacicola sertus Humes, 1978 associated with a hydroid is removed to the genus Pseudomacrochiron Reddiah, 1969 in the Macrochironidae. A key to seven species of Telestacicola is provided.

Since the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with Chile, the EU, and the U.S., Korean agricultural produce markets have turned into a fierce competition landscape. Under these competitive circumstances, marketing is critical. The objective of the research presented herein is to understand the characteristics of customer preferences after locating trends of purchased items. So This research establishes sustainable strategies for Korean agricultural produce. This investigation used market-basket analysis techniques and panel data for its research. Market-basket analysis is a technique which attempts to find groups of items that are commonly found together. The results show that, for one year, processed food using wheat, processed marine products, and pork are commonly bought together and that yogurt and milk also are bought together. The characteristics of customers buying these items are 44 years old and live in a four-person household with two children. These customers do not live with their parents.

식도이물은 이비인후과 영역에서 흔히 경험할 수 있는 것으로 연령, 성별, 민족 등에 제한없이 발생할 수 있으며, 대부분의 경우 예기치 않게 돌발적이며 부주의로 인하여 발생되는 경우가 많다. 이물은 일상생활과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로서 그 종류가 매우 다양하다. 대부분의 식도이물의 경우, 진단 및 치료가 용이하나, 경우에 따라서는 이물의 종류, 개재부위, 체류기간, 선행질병 및 증상 등에 따라 진단 및 치료가 용이하지 않은 경우도 있다. 특히 다발성 식도협착이 있는 환자의 원위(distal) 협착부위에 개재한 식도이물은 식도경이 근위(proximal)협착부를 통과할 수 없으므로 이물제거가 상당히 힘들 경우가 많다. 저자들은 최근 부식성 식도염에 속발한 다발성 식도협착이 있는 2명의 환자에서 원위협착부위에 개재한 식도이물을 fluoroscopy 도움하에서 Medi-Tech biliary basket을 사용하여 제거하였기에 문헌적 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Using user monitoring techniques on web, marketing decision makers in cyber shopping malls can gather customer behavior data as well as sales transaction data and customer profiles. In this paper, we present a marketing rule extraction technique for customer behavior analysis in cyber shopping malls, The technique is an application of market basket analysis which is a representative data mining technique for extracting association rules. The market basket analysis technique is applied on a customer behavior log table, which provide association rules about web pages in a cyber shopping mall. The extracted association rules can be used for mall layout design, product packaging, web page link design, and product recommendation. A prototype cyber shopping mall with customer monitoring features and a customer behavior analysis algorithm is implemented using Java Web Server, Servlet, JDBC(Java Database Connectivity), and relational database on windows NT.

In this paper, we proposed new outworn aircraft management procedure. ROKAF has both good management skill and information system, AMMIS, regarding aircraft maintenance based on all kinds of aircraft's defects. To optimize and secure aircraft's operation, management of the outworn aircraft is very important for ROKAF. With respect to these outworn aircraft's defects and maintenance, we analyzed defects occurrence pattern of outworn aircraft by using AMMIS data and Market Basket Analysis, and found the specified association rules for each defect. By using these association rules, we developed new management procedure for outworn aircraft based on the results of affinity analysis. The management procedure in this paper will also be used to optimal operation and maintenance of other aircraft and weapon systems.

This study is for the seismic analysis and the structural integrity evaluation of the box beam for supporting nuclear fuel-transfer-basket of the HANARO reactor pool. For performing the seismic analysis and evaluating the structural integrity in air or submerged condition, the finite element model of the fuel-transfer-basket and its supporting box beam(the coupled model) was developed. The hydrodynamic effect is also considered by using added mass concept. The seismic response spectrum analyses of the coupled model under the design floor response spectrum loads of Safe Shutdown Earthquake(SSE) were performed. Through the numerical experiments, the analysis results show that the stress values of the coupled model lot the structural integrity are within the ASME Code limits.

The purpose of this study was to analyze microbial hazards for cultivation environments and personal hygiene of strawberry and tomato farms at the growth and harvesting stage. Samples were collected from thirty strawberry farms and forty tomato farms located in Korea and tested for Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. To investigate the change in the distribution of the S. aureus and B. cereus, a total of 4,284 samples including air born, soil or medium, mulching film, harvest basket, groves and irrigation water etc. were collected from eight strawberry farms and nine tomato farms for one year. As a result, total S. aureus and B. cereus in all samples were detected. Among the total bacteria of strawberry farms, S. aureus (glove: $0{\sim}2.1Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, harvest basket: $0{\sim}3.0Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, soil or culture media: 0~4.1 Log CFU/g, mulching film: $0{\sim}3.8Log\;CFU/100cm^2$), B. cereus (glove: $0{\sim}2.8Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, harvest basket: $0{\sim}4.8Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, soil or culture media: 0~5.3 Log CFU/g, mulching film: $0{\sim}4.5Log\;CFU/100cm^2$) were detected in all samples. The total bacteria of tomato farms, S. aureus (glove: $0{\sim}4.0Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, harvest basket: $0{\sim}5.0Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, soil or culture media: 0~6.1 Log CFU/g, mulching film: $0{\sim}4.0Log\;CFU/100cm^2$), B. cereus (glove: $0{\sim}4.0Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, harvest basket: $0{\sim}4.3Log\;CFU/100cm^2$, soil or culture media: 0~5.9 Log CFU/g, mulching film: $0{\sim}4.7Log\;CFU/100cm^2$) were detected in all samples. The contamination of S. aureus and B. cereus were detected in soil, mulching film and harvest basket from planting until harvest to processing, with the highest count recorded from the soil. But S. aureus and B. cereus were not detected in irrigation water samples. The incidence of S. aureus and B. cereus in hydroponics culture farm were less than those in soil culture. The amount of S. aureus and B. cereus detected in strawberry and tomato farms were less than the minimum amount required to produce a toxin that induces food poisoning. In this way, the degree of contamination of food poisoning bacteria was lower in the production environment of the Korea strawberry and tomato, but problems can be caused by post-harvest management method. These results will be used as fundamental data to create a manual for sanitary agricultural environment management, and post-harvest management should be performed to reduce the contamination of hazardous microorganisms.

This article studied on price dispersion of food market in Kwangju. Both item and market basket price dispersion were surveyed, and this price dispersion was compared with the perceptive price dispersion. This survey was conducted from April. 8.1992 to 22. On findings, price dispersion is very big in item and market basket. Most Consumers' perception was inaccurate and typically underestimated. This findings suggest that consumers are victims of contributors to informally imperfect markets.
