방사선 이용의 필요성 및 인체장해에 대한 대학생의 인식조사 (An Investigation on The Necessity of the Use of Radiation and The Recognition of Radiation Hazard among College Students)

  • Background & Objectives: This study investigates the recognition on the necessity of the use of radiation for both college students who are considered that they have a high knowledge level in radiation and proposes basic materials to change the recognition of the use of radiation. Also, the investigation was applied to average people who showed the most negative attitudes on radiation. Methods: A questionnaire was applied to 600 college students for five days from October 10 to 15, 2005 and used in statistical analysis. Results: The average value obtained in the recognition of the use of radiation was 76.60 points in which male respondents who were majored in natural science, health, and engineering department and respondents who have experienced radiation related education, radiation diagnosis, and radiation treatment demonstrated higher levels. Also, the average value obtained in the recognition of the radiation damage was 71.66 points in which respondents who were majored in natural sciences, humanities, engineering, and health department showed higher levels than that of respondents who were majored in art and physical department. Groups that exhibited higher recognition levels in the necessity of the use of radiation were male respondents and respondents who were majored in natural science, humanities, and health department and have experienced radiation diagnosis and radiation treatment. In the results of the correlation analysis on the necessity of the use of radiation and recognition of radiation damages, the recognition of radiation damages was presented as negative attitudes in the case of the higher recognition level in the necessity of the use of radiation. Conclusions: Regarding the frequency of the use of radiation in Korea, a 80.9% of university students who showed a high education level had no experiences in radiation related education. Although they showed a relatively high level of 76.6 points in the recognition level of the necessity of the use of radiation, the negative attitude on the radiation damage was also presented as a high level of 71.7 points. Because the providing chance of radiation related information was limited as compared to the atomic power used in Korea and dependancy of the use of radiation, it is necessary to provide the basic information related in the use of radiation to the public. In addition, various investigations on the use of radiation and such negative attitudes are required in future for the public. Also, the correct information of the radiation safety should be delivered to the public.

방사선안전관리에 대한 조사 : 의료기관 방사선조사자를 중심으로 (Study on the safety management of radiation: centering on the radiation workers in medical institutions)

  • While the use of radiation in the medical field provides diagnosis and treatment with important benefits, we cannot deny that the radiation bombing causes some hindrances. The expansion of radiation use in modem medicine is essential, so the radiation use and preparation of proper measure for safety management has risen as a pressing subject. Therefore, in order to make defensive plans for the prevention of health obstacles to general users of radiation and for the provision of basic data of the health education programs to radiation workers by grasping the knowledge, attitude and behavior towards the radiation safety management of radiation workers in each medical institution and by analyzing the factors that affect the actions of radiation safety management, in this study we conducted questionnaires from September 26 to November 5, 2001 targeting 805 radiation workers in 108 medical institutions including university hospitals, general hospitals, hospitals, clinics and public health centers etc. located in Seoul, four metropolitan cities and small and medium cities, and has obtained the following results. 1. The average point of knowledge on the radiation safety management was 10.96 out of 15. As for the general characteristics, the level of knowledge on radiation safety management was higher with older age, high education background and longer career. 2. The average point of attitude on the radiation safety management was 66.36 out of 75. The attitude point for general characteristics were higher with higher education background, longer career and in case of universities, the level of attitude on the radiation safety management was high. 3. The average of action points on the radiation safety management was 56.09 out of 75. In general characteristics, the action level of radiation safety level was higher with older age, longer career, and the reception of radiation education and in case of university hospitals. 4. It is analyzed that the relation of knowledge, attitude and behavior on the radiation safety management is higher as the levels of knowledge and attitude on the radiation safety management is higher. 5. As a result of analyzing the factors that affect the knowledge on the radiation safety management, the variables that can be explained best was in the order of ‘the behavior on the radiation safety management’, ‘work career’, ‘the attitude on the radiation safety management’, and ‘school career’. 6. As a result of analyzing the factors that affect the attitude on the radiation safety management, the variables that can be explained best was in the order of ‘the behavior on the radiation safety management’, ‘the knowledge on the radiation safety management’, and ‘school career’. 7. Education and Training Program using HANARO

  • This report will introduce the epitome about the subject, HANARO (Hi-flux Advanced Neutron Application Reactor designed by KAERI in early 1995) Utilization Education Training Program Development and Operation, which is one of the nuclear research basic expansion businesses executed from 1999. 12. to strengthen the usage of HANARO. This program consists of the basic reactor experiments program for university students who have specialty of nuclear and other engineering, and the special research education program for faculties from universities and researchers from industrial fields. Principle lessons are reactor operation, radioisotope production, neutron activation analysis, neutron radiography, radiation shield (health physics), nuclear fuel combustion measurement by gamma scanning arrangement, and CNS (Compact Nuclear Simulator) and so on.

방사선학과 학생들의 공간선량 측정 경험이 방사선 안전 인식에 미치는 영향 (Radiological Safety Perception Change after Spatial Dose Measurement of Radiology Department Students)

  • 예비 방사선 작업 종사자인 방사선학과 대학생을 대상으로 방사선 기초 개념과 공간선량 인식, 방사선 안전 인식에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. X선 촬영 실습실에서 X선 조사 시 발생하는 공간선량을 학생들이 직접 측정함으로써 방사선 기초 개념과 공간선량 인식에 따른 실험 전 후의 방사선 안전 인식 변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 그 결과 실험 후에 학생들의 방사선 안전 인식이 보수적이고 엄격하게 변화하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 방사선학과 대학생들의 경우 방사선 안전 인식 보다 직업의식이 앞서는 형태를 볼 수 있었는데 이는 의료적 이용에 따른 이득을 우선적으로 고려한 결과로 생각된다. 이에 따라 의료적 이익의 범위 내에서 방사선 이용에 따른 세분화된 안전교육 프로그램이 필요성이 요구된다. 따라서 시청각 자료를 이용한 단순한 강의 중심의 안전 교육이 아닌, 직접 공간선량 측정 실험과 같은 체험적 안전 교육 프로그램을 제안하는 바이며 방사선 안전 인식의 보수적인 관점과 엄격한 태도를 지향하는 직업의식 교육이 필요한 것으로 파악되었다.

BEHAVIORAL CHANGES IN KOREAN ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOLLOWING BASIC EDUCATION IN MEDICAL RADIATION

  • by providing objective information regarding medical radiation for elementary, middle, and high school students in Korea, who are expected to have a high ripple effect in education, and by analyzing behavioral changes in the selection of medical radiation, this study aimed to deduce the basis for educational intervention. The tools used in the study were a questionnaire, including questions about perception, knowledge, attitude, and behavior toward medical radiation; video and Power-point materials for the lesson; simulated radiation diagnosis selection form; and radiation treatment selection form to find out about behavior. A post-test demonstrated that the objective knowledge about medical radiation of all the students turned out to be significantly higher (p<0.000) after the lesson compared to before the lesson. However, there were no statistically significant behavioral changes. Rather, for high school students, the behavior of selecting medical radiography and treatment was significantly lower (p<0.000) after the lesson. For the more impressionable children in the lower grades, the lesson must not only provide an opportunity to understand and pay attention to diverse viewpoints, but also encourage them to make ethical decisions based on value. Since it can be predicted that attitude or behavioral changes through education or publicity can be expected from adults older than high school students, issues regarding dangers like radiation exposure must be treated as an issue of value judgment predicated on multifaceted considerations.

치위생과 학생의 방사선 안전관리에 대한 지식과 태도 (Knowledge and Attitude about Radiation Safety Management in Dental Hygiene Students)

  • Purpose : This study identified knowledge, attitudes and behavior for radiation safety management of dental hygiene student. And to provide basic data for the development of effective education program for safety management for radiation protection. Methods : A questionnaire survey of questionnaires was conducted on the second and third grade dental hygiene students at three - year college in 'A' area of Gyeongnam province. The questionnaire of 37 items was used to investigate knowledge and attitude about radiation protection. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and pearson's correlation Analysis using the SPSS 21.0 program. Result : Results obtained from this study are as follows. 1. Knowledge level of radiation safety management by general characteristics showed statistically significant difference. 2. Radiation safety education knowledge score was higher in the case of radiation safety education(t=1.660, p<.05). 3. The radiation safety management attitude score was a statistically significant difference between the groups according to 'achievement' (F=1.660, p<.001). In the case of 'radiation protection facilities', there was a statistically significant difference between groups according to the recognition of radiation protection facilities (F=6.001, p<.001). 4. As a result of investigating the relationship between radiation safety management knowledge and attitude, the higher the knowledge level of radiation safety management, the higher the attitude(p<.001). Conclusion : Therefore, radiation safety management education should be organized systematically and it is required to improve not only safety management knowledge, attitude level but also action level.

방사선취급감독자면허 경력인정과정에 대한 교육만족도 분석 (Analysis of Educational Satisfaction on the Course for Recognition of Practical Experience with a License for the Supervisor of Radiation Handling)

  • 원자력안전법에는 방사성동위원소 등의 취급에 관하여 방사성동위원소취급자일반면허, 특수면허 및 감독자면허 등 3종의 면허가 있다. 이들 면허시험 응시자격은 학력과 교육훈련을 포함한 경력으로 구분된다. 원자력안전위원회는 경력의 내용 및 산출방법을 정하여 고시한다. 본 논문에서는 과거에 운영된 방사선취급감독자면허 교육과정 종료 후 시행된 교육만족도 및 운영에 관한 설문조사 자료를 분석하여 개선점을 도출하였다. 교육과정을 개선하기 위하여 학습평가를 도입하여 운영하였으며, 개선된 교육과정과 기존 교육과정을 만족도 측면에서 비교하여 기술하였다. 학습평가를 도입한 교육과정은 기존 교육과정에 비해 만족도, 현업적용도 등에서 4.0점(5.0 만점 기준) 이상의 평가 결과를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 방사선취급감독자면허 교육과정뿐만 아니라 방사성동위원소취급자일반면허 교육과정에도 학습평가를 적용하는 것이 바람직하다고 본다.

부산·경남 일부지역의 치과방사선 인식도와 수행도에 따른 치과방사선 방어행위 (The awareness and performance towards the dental radiation protection behaviors in Busan and Gyeongnam)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the awareness and performance towards the dental radiation protection behaviors in dental institutions in Busan and Gyeongnam. Methods : Two hundred and one dental medical institutions in Busan and Gyeongnam participated in the survey from March 10 to April 4, 2014. The data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 for ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Results : There were significant differences in the awareness and performance towards the radiation protection behaviors according to age, monthly income, and type of hospital(p<0.05). Protective equipment influenced on the awareness and performance of dental staff and patients(p<0.001). The important variables on dental radiation protection included protection facility and education of protective equipment. It is found the variable to affect the performance of dental radiation protection was protection facility, wearing of protective device staff and patients, education on RSM. Conclusions : These results can provide the basic data for the effective dental radiation safety management and improvement for the dental institutions.

수술실 종사자의 방사선 노출에 대한 방사선 방어관련 지식, 인식도, 자기효능감 및 수행도에 관한 연구 (A Study on knowledge, perception, self-efficacy, and performance on radiation protection among perioperative workers in terms of radiation protection)

  • 본 연구는 수술실 종사자를 대상으로 방사선 방어에 대한 지식, 인식도, 자기효능감 및 수행도를 조사하였다. 방사선 방어행위의 수행도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여, 효과적인 방사선 방어교육프로그램개발에 기초 자료를 제공하고자 시행되었다. 표본 수는 이 연구에 참여하기로 동의한 수술실 종사자 166명이다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 사용하여 independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, Multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 수술실 종사자들은 평균 3-4시간 방사선에 노출되고 있으며, 방사선 피폭 교육 검험이 있는 대상자는 11.4%있었다. 방사선 방어관련 지식정도는 $8.61{\pm}2.51$점이었으며, 방어관련 인식도, $4.59{\pm}0.64$점, 수행도는 $2.99{\pm}0.90$점이었다. 방사선 방어지식과 수행도는 직종별 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<001). 방사선 방어관련 지식은 인식도와 유의미한 상관관계를 가졌으며, 방사선 방어관련 수행도는 지식과 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 방사선 수행도를 높이기 위해서는 방사선 방어관련 지식과 인식도를 높여야 한다. 그러므로 향후 방사선 방어교육 강화를 통한 방사선 방어 지식을 개선하여 방사선 방어 수행도를 촉진하는 것이 중요할 것이다.

방사선과 대학생들의 방사선조사식품 인식도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recognition of Radiation Irradiation Foods in Radiology College Students)

  • 연구는 방사선과 대학생을 대상으로 방사선조사식품에 대한 인식여부를 확인하고, 방사선조사식품에 대한 올바른 이해에 도움을 주고, 교육프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 조사대상은 대구, 경북지역에 소재한 대학교에 재학 중인 방사선과를 전공하는 대학생을 조사대상으로 2018년 2월 1일부터 28일까지 설문조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 방사선조사식품과 관련 교육경험에 대해서는 '없다'가 73.7%로 나타나 대부분 교육경험이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 방사선조사식품에 대해 가장 효과적인 교육방법에 대해서는 '방사선전문가 교육' 49.8%, '학교교육' 31.6% 순으로 나타나 방사선조사식품에 대해 가장 효과적인 교육방법에 대해서는 방사선전문가 교육 및 학교교육이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다. 방사선조사식품에 대한 교육 참여의향에 대해서는 '보통이다' 전체 54.5%로 나타나 방사선조사식품에 대한 교육 제공시 교육생의 참여율을 높일 수 있을 것이라고 사료된다. 방사선조사식품에 대한 교육은 언제부터 실시하는 것이 적절한지에 대해서는 '초등학교' 때부터 27.7%, '중학교' 때부터 23.0% 순으로 나타나 방사선조사식품은 저학년부터 실시하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 식생활에 민감한 대학생들의 방사선조사식품에 대한 전반적인 인식 및 명확한 이해를 위한 구체적인 홍보활동과 교육프로그램의 개발이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
