The objective of this study is to evaluate the lighting dimming rates with various parameters of the building skin in a small office. We compared to simulated workplane illuminance and measured workplane illuminance for the base model. After that, the five veriables(the presence of vertical wall in double skin facade, the presence of windowsill, window to wall ratio(WWR), window visible transmittance, the width of double skin facade) were applied to base model, and we analyzed the simulated lighting energy saving rates. The results are listed as below. The simulated workplane illuminance results are similar to the measurement. Simulated illuminance was smaller than measured illuminance by 16.5%(60 lx). In accordance with applicable building skin parameters, lighting energy saving rate results are summarized as follows. Lighting energy saving rate of case1(windowsill height 0.7m) is higher than that of base case(windowsill and vertical wall) by 7.3% and the lighting energy saving rate of case2(no vertical wall) is higher than that of base case by 7.6% and the lighting energy saving rate of case3(no windowsill and vertical wall) is higher than that of base case by 12.4%. The lighting energy saving rate is increased by 2.3%, when window visible transmittance is increased from 70% to 86%. The lighting energy saving rate is increased by 4.6%, when we changed the WWR 70% to 90%. lighting energy savings rate is increased by 6.5%, when the width of double skin facade is reduced from 1m to 0.3m.
The lubricating performance of 23 kinds of polyol ester base oils 〔POEs〕 having different branch shapes was investigated by using a four ball tribometer under boundary lubrication condition. All the polyol ester base oils used in this study were made up of polyhydric alcohols of two-four valence and normal or branched fatty acids of different carbon number. The wear characteristics of polyol ester base oils are different from those of mineral oil, strongly affected by the branch shapes of fatty acids in their molecles. In particular, the polyol ester base oils having normal fatty acids such as n-octanoic acid, n-nonanoic acid etc. show much better wear performance than POEs having branched fatty acids such as 2-ethylhexanoic acid, 3,5,5-trimethyl hexanoic acid, etc. As the carbon chain length of normal fatty acids, in case of POEs of normal fatty acids, is increased, their wear rate is decreased and, in case of POEs of branched fatty acids, as the degree of branch of branched fatty acids is decreased, their wear rate is decreased. All the wear results of polyol ester base oils could be reasonably explained by comparing cohesive ability among fatty acid molecules in adsorption film by fatty acids obtained as POEs were decomposed.
In order to investigate the mechanism of adaptation to long-term heat stress, six female buffalo calves of about 7 to 8 months age, were exposed to the cool-comfort environment (THI 65) for 21 days to obtain normal values of blood acid-base. An adaptive response of acid-base regulation was determined to long term (21 days) exposure of buffalo calves to hot-dry (THI 80) and hot-humid (THI 84) conditions. Higher rectal temperature and respiratory rate was recorded under hot-humid exposure compared to hot-dry. Significant reduction in the rectal temperature and respiratory rate on day 21 of hot-dry exposure indicated early thermal adaptation compared to hot-humid. Decreasing rectal temperature and respiratory rate from day 1 to 21 was associated with concurrent decrease in blood pH and pCO2. Increased plasma chloride concentration with low base excess in blood and in extracellular fluid suggested compensatory response to respiratory alkalosis. Reduced fractional excretion of sodium with increased fractional excretion of potassium and urine flow rate indicated renal adaptive response to heat stress.

In this study, as a fuel filter for automobiles, base paper which can filtrate the polluted particles must satisfy with the standards of each vehicle. and a filter of impregnation paper made that combining the base paper with the resin. Therefore, They were wanted to found out the factors that affect base paper and impregnation paper according to content of HPZ, Mulberry pulp(MP), Laub holze bleached kraft pulp(LBKP). The most important things we wanted to find out in base paper and impregnation paper test were weight, thickness, air permeability, burst and tensile strength, maximum pore size and mean pore size, stiffness. we wanted to measure a rate of change of these condition by adjusting a rate of mixing for HPZ, MP and LBKP. Moreover, It suited for an impregnation paper mixed with a rate of mulberry pulp 20%, HPZ 40% and LBKP 40%. Used resins in this study was Phenol, Acryl, PVAc. And as every resins, sample was divided into existence and nothing of embossing. as a fuel filter for automobiles, It was appeared that the suitable condition of base paper was a rate of mixing for HPZ(40%), MP(20%) and LBKP(40%).

Numerical simulations were carried out to investigate the base drag characteristics of a base bleed projectile with a central propulsive jet by considering the base homing process. Overall fluid dynamic process is modeled by Wavier-Stokes equations for reacting flows with two-equation $k-\omega$ SST turbulence closure. The combustion process is modeled by finite-rate chemistry with a given partially burned exit condition of the BBU (base-bleed unit). Besides the demonstrating the capability of the present CFD solver for the base drag and the interaction of the base flow with a rocket plume, present study gives an insight into the fluid dynamics and the combustion process of the hybrid-propulsion projectile.

In this paper, a temporally adaptive layered image sequence coding technique employing H.261 is proposed. In the proposed technique, the frame rate of the base layer is adjusted according to the temporal activity measure based on the rate-distortion function. The base layer is encoded using the H.261. Then, the full frame-rate error image is formed by comparing the original image and the interpolated version of the reconstructed base layer image. The enhancement layer is algo encoded using H.261 but with leaky prdiction to provide robust error resilience. The simulation results show that the proposed technique provides better performance than the twin-H.261 with leaky prediction in both the fixed-rate and variable-rate systems.
In order for formulation of rectal containing OMZ, the OMZ suppositories were prepared using water-soluble base, PEG 4000 base and oil-soluble base, Witepsol H 15. Chemical stability of OMZ in suppositories was increased when Witepsol H 15 was used as a suppository base and arginine was added as a stabilizer. The decomposition of OMZ in suppository bases followed the first-order kinetics and their rate constants were 0.11 day $^{1}(t_{1/2}$=/6.25 days) for Witepsol H 15 suppository and 0.48 day $^{1}(t_{1/2}$=/1.43 days) for PEG 4000 suppository, respectively. On the other hand, the decomposition rate constants of Witepsol suppository and PEG suppository stabilized with arginine were 3.89$\times$10$^{-3}$(t$_{1/2}$=171.1 days) and 8.76$\times$10$^{-3}$ day $^{1}(t_{1/2}=79.9 days), respectively. Shelf-lives of the Witepsol and PEG suppositories stabilized with arginine were t$_{90%}$=291.8 days and t$_{90%}$=282.1 days at $35^{\circ}C$ and 75% RH, respectively. The dissolution test of OMZ suppositories was performed by rotating dialysis cell(RDC) method and the release rate constant was calculated by the simplified Higuchi's equation, Q'=K' t$^{1/2}$. Dissolution of OMZ from suppositories was augmented as arginine was added, particle size of OMZ was reduced and a suitable surfactant such as SLS was added. RDC method was more appropriate and available than Paddle method to evaluate the dissolution rate of lipophilic-base suppositoies. Arginine was found to be a very useful exipient for the enhancement of stability and dissolution of OMZ in suppositories.

The fatigue crack propagation behavior in SA106 Gr.C main steam pipe weld joint was investigated in air environment. Crack growth rate tests were conducted on base metal and weld metal at load ratio of 0.1 and 0.3 and at frequency of 10Hz. The fatigue crack growth rates of the base metal and the weld metal were above the ASME reference line and the fatigue crack propagation rate of the weld metal was higher than those of the base metal. Fatigue crack growth rate increased with increasing the load ratio and the effect of the load ratio was more significant in the weld metal. The post weld heat treatment increased the fatigue crack growth rates of the base metal by reducing compressive residual stress and decreased those of the weld metal by reducing weld defects.
In order to elucidate the lubricating mechanism of polyolester base oils [POEs], the wear characteristics of 27 kinds of polyolester base oils including mixed POEs were investigated. Their wear results were discussed in terms of the effect of molecular structure on wear performance and compared with those of mineral oil. In addition, the adsorption ability of POEs to reduced iron and their hydrolysis rates were measured and the effect of their molecular structures on the adsorptivity and hydrolysis rate of POEs was discussed, respectively. Finally, the lubricating mechanism anlyzed from these results of wear characteristics, adsorptivity and hydrolysis rate was proposed. That is to say, POEs are firstly adsorbed to friction surface and decomposed by hydrolysis or thermal degradation. Fatty acids obtained by degradation of POEs form adsorption film on friction surface. The larger become cohesive ability among fatty acid molecules in the adsorption film, the better gets the wear performance of POEs.
In this study, specimens were classified four welded specimens and a base metal to investigate fatigue life and crack growth rate of pure titanium welding materials, and Ti was used in turbine equipment of nuclear power generation, etc. The summarized results are as follows; 1) Specimen-2 was bigger 712% than base metal, when it was compared with other welding materials, 2) As the result of specimens data, specimen-2 crack behavior rate res lower 30 times than base metal, and so total fracture life was very influenced by it, 3) Notch tip of Specimen-2 was offsetted 6.7mm from boundary H.A.Z, and if formed 25% in total fracture length, 4) As the considering of da/dN and $\Delta$K, Paris' law is incongruous in this study, because fro inclines nsf on one date.
