A scheme of more exact overflow probability analysis is proposed for traffic regulated by dual leaky bucket. To each regulated traffic stream is allocated bandwidth and buffer independent of other traffic stream and overflow occurs when total bandwidth or buffer allocated to each traffic exceed link capacity or physical buffer size. Ratio of buffer and bandwidth allocated to each traffic stream is assumed to be constant, and this ratio is larger than the ratio of physical buffer and bandwidth due to buffer sharing effect. Numerical experiments show that this sharing effect have significant influence on overflow probability and effective bandwidth.

We designed wideband HTS antennas which consists of two triangle -radiation patches using a $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-X}$ (YBCO) superconducting thin film. The major limitation of high-Tc superconducting (HTS) microstrip antennas is the narrow bandwidth due to the high Q and thin substrate. Defining bandwidth as the frequency range over which standing wave ratio (SWR) 2:1 or less, HTS antenna bandwidths are typically 0.85 % to 1.1 %. Thus considerable effort has been focused on developing antennas for broadband operation. To calculate input impedance and design of the broadband HTS antennas a moment method technique was used. The HTS antenna fabricated in this work was designed for K-band, which is useful band for satellite to satellite communications. The bandwidth obtained was a significant 6.7 % and the other measured performance of our HTS antenna, including the bandwidth, radiation Pattern, efficiency, standing wave ratio (SWR) and return losses was reported.
Superconducting four-element patch array antenna was designed and fabricated using $high-T_{c}$ superconducting (HTS) thin film. The array antenna has single-feed circularly polarization and a resonance frequency of 11.85 GHz fur satellite communication system. To fabricate this antenna $YBa_2$$Cu_3$$O_{7-x}$(YBCO) superconducting thin films were deposited using rf-magnetron sputtering technique. Sequential rotation technique based on radiation elements($0^{\circ}$ , $90^{\circ}$, 1$80^{\circ}$, $270^{\circ}$ phase delay) was utilized to achieve circularly polarization. Simulated and measured results, the analysis on resonant frequency(fr), return loss, and bandwidth are presented. The results show that 10 dB return loss bandwidth of the array antenna is 11.04 GHz~12.59 GHz (13.15%) and 3dB axial ratio bandwidth is 11.42~12.52 GHz (9.2%).).).

In this paper, we derive the CRLB (Cramer-Rao Lower Bound) of effective carrier-to-noise power ratio ($C/N_0$) estimation for a GPS (Global Positioning System) L1 C/A (Coarse/Acquisition) signal under band-limited white noise jamming environments. The quality of a received GPS signal is commonly described in terms of its $C/N_0$, implying that the noise is white and thus can be described by scalar noise density. However, if some intentional interference is received to a victim GPS receiver, then the $C/N_0$ is no longer the efficacious performance indicator. The correct and straightforward measurement to analyze the receiving situation is the effective $C/N_0$. In this paper, we consider a band-limited white noise jamming whose bandwidth is 2MHz and is the same as one of the first null-to-null bandwidth of the GPS L1 C/A signal.

DAM(Delay-And-Multiplier) intercept receiver usually detects the symbol rate of the transmitted DS spread spectrum signal for the feature extraction. It is important for secure communication to reduce the normalized output signal-to-noise ratio that is generated at the DAM intercept receiver as a measure of detectability. In this paper, several kinds of chip waveforms are novelly analyzed for LPI(Low-Probability of Intercept) communication against DAM intercept receiver. Consequently, it is shown that the rectangular chip waveform shows the best LPI performance in the bandwidth of 2/$T_c$TEX>, 4/$T_c$TEX>, and 6/$T_c$TEX>/. Except the rectangular waveform, kaiser chip waveform show better LPI performance than the other waveforms in the bandwidth of 4/$T_c$TEX> and 6/$T_c$TEX>.

This paper deals with a TT&C circularly polarized turnstile antenna for LEO satellites. The turnstile antenna consists of radiator for radiating power to free-space and power divider for generating circularly polarized wave. we presents a radiator to tolerate in space environments and a power divider to provide flat phase difference at wide bandwidth. The bandwidth of the proposed antenna covers the frequency bands of up- and down-link. The antenna shows wide beamwidth and enhanced axial ratio for unfavorable space environments.

Although $High-T_c $superconducting HTS antennas have high efficiency and high gain, narrow bandwidth due to the high Q is the major limitation for application of satellite communication and mobile communication. Defining bandwidth as the frequency range over which standing wave ratio (SWR) is 2:1 or less, HTS antenna bandwidths are typically less than 1 %. Thus considerable effort has been focused on developing HTS antennas for broadband operation. In this work the HTS antenna array, using the bipin antenna which consisted of two triangle-radiation patches, was designed and fabricated using a ${YBa}_2{Cu}_3{O}_7x (YBCO)$ superconducting thin film on a MgO substrate for broadband operation. Also gold antennas with the same dimension as our HTS antennas were fabricated on the MgO substrate for the comparison. Experimental results for both antennas were reported in terms of radiation patterns, return losses, bandwidths and other various characteristics. The center frequency of HTS antennas was 20.28 GHz and the bandwidth obtained was significant 10 %.
In wireless mesh network, studies on routing protocols have been actively carried out recently, and hop count is used as a major routing metric in destination-sequenced distance-vector (DSDV) routing protocol, which is a representative proactive routing protocol. Although hop-by-hop multi-path (HMP) DSDV and enhanced HMP (EHMP) DSDV routing protocols perform routing by considering both hop count and residual bandwidth within one hop distance nodes, it has a shortcoming that routing is carried out via non-optimal path from the aspect of end-to-end routing. In order to overcome the shortcoming, a cost-aware multi-path (CAMP) DSDV routing protocol is proposed in this paper, which considers hop count and end-to-end minimum residual bandwidth. Simulation results based on NS-2 show that the proposed routing protocol performs better than DSDV, HMP DSDV, and EHMP DSDV protocols from the aspect of throughput and packet delivery ratio, by appropriately using hop count and end-to-end minimum residual bandwidth information and has the same number of management messages with HMP DSDV and EHMP DSDV protocols.
Ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) detection method has been widely used as a front end detection scheme for the ultra-high frequency (UHF) partial discharge (PD) monitoring systems. A broad-band video detector module was developed and characterized for the UHF UWB PD detection systems. The useable bandwidth of the module is more than 2 GHz and it is optimized for 50-ohm systems. The detection sensitivity and dynamic range of the module were characterized by using a known ns-width RF pulses of GHz range. The dynamic range is more than 6-decades and the module can detect pulsed RF signals down to 1 nW. The detector module can eliminate expensive equipment such as high speed oscilloscopes and radio frequency (RF) spectrum analyzers. Therefore, it enables one to use slow speed data acquisition systems for the PD monitoring at the UHF range. The detector module was used to detect real PDs of about <3 pC. The module converts the UWB PD signals into a low-bandwidth video signal with a high signal-to-noise ratio.
To accommodate the increasing number of mobile terminals in the limited radio spectrum, wireless systems have been designed as micro/picocellular architectures for a higher capacity. This reduced coverage area of a cell has caused a higher rate of hand-off events, and the hand-off technology for efficient process becomes a necessity to provide a stable service. Population-based Bandwidth Reservation(PBR) Scheme is proposed to provide prioritized handling for hand-off calls by dynamically adjusting the amount of reserved bandwidth of a cell according to the amount of cellular traffic in its neighboring cells. We analyze the performance of the PBR scheme according to the changes of a fractional parameter, f, which is the ratio of request reservation to the total amount of bandwidth units required for hand-off calls that will occur for the next period. The vague of this parameter, f should be determined based on QoS(Quality of Service) requirement. To meet the requirement the value of Parameter(f) must be able to be adjusted dynamically according to the changing traffic conditions. The best value of f can be determined by a function of the average speed of mobile stations, average call duration, cell size, and so on. This paper considers the average call duration and the cell size according to the speed of mobile stations. Although some difference exists as per speed, in the range of 0.4 $\leq$ f $\leq$ 0.6, Blocking Probability, Dropping Probability and Utilization show the best values.
