  • The purposes of daily cover are to control odor and volatile organic compound emissions, to control litters, to mitigate rainfall infiltration. Under usual operation of landfill, the soil layer of 15cm thick is used for daily cover, but about $20{\sim}$25% of landfill capacity is consumed by daily cover volume. Considering our limited land and difficulty in getting landfill site, developing an alternative daily cover material which usually occupies much less volume than soil will be very significant. Also, if we can use waste material for alternative daily cover, we can get additional benefit of recycling waste.

  • Communicating devices for the seriously disabled using eye-ball movement or some body movement are proposed. The first one is a device to use image processing, whose input signal is eyeball movement, A feature of this device is that the device can be readily realized using a note-book computer with USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface bus.   • It can be acquired the high effective productivity through of high speed, precision of machine tools, and then, machine tools will be got a competitive power. Industrially advanced countries already developed that the high speed feed is 60m/min using the high speed ball screw. Also, a lot of problems have happened the feed drive system. It is necessary to study about the character of positioning accuracy, heat generation and high speed control for feed drive system of high speed. in this study, we make use of the feed drive system with a high lead ball screw. We'll develop the feed drive system at the speed of 60m/min. Using the design of the mechanical element and the high speed control, the basic design concept can be established. After manufacturing one-shaft feed drive system and then conducting the performance test, It'll be analyzed properties of the high speed feed drive system.

  • Neural Network has advantages of learning and normalizing capabilities. Fuzzy controller is based on a fuzzy logic that is so effective to represent uncertain phenomena of real world and make its approximation. In this paper, Fuzzy Neural Network controller which equipped with adaptive control algorithm is described. Proposed Fuzzy Neural Network Controller applied to a ball on beam system which have nonlinear characteristics shows a good performance.

  • The Outflow facility of eye ball provides crucial informations in the diagnose of ophthalmological glaucoma. Tn this study an ophthalmic outflow facility measuring device is developed and experimentally tested. This system employs pressure sensors and linear positioning device to regulate solution reservoir height, the pressure of eye ball. The experimental result show that the system works well even in harsh environment so that it can be implemented in ophthalmic practice as well as in biomedical research.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 유연 볼 엔드밀의 절삭력 모델을 바탕으로 자유 곡면의 정삭 가공에서 발생할 수 있는 과대 또는 과소 절삭을 방지하면서 그 가공의 효율성을 높이기 위한 볼 엔드밀의 이송 속도 결정법을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저, 자유 곡면의 가공에서 발생될 수 있는 공구의 처짐에 따른 가공오차에 대하여 볼 엔드밀 공구의 처 짐벡터와 공작물의 공구 접촉점에서의 법선벡터로 표현되는 가공오차(machining error ) 예측 모델식을 유도하였다. 본 가공오차 예측 모델식은 다시 절삭날당 가지는 이 송량의 함수로 전개되어 그 곡면의 주어진 가공 공차(machining tolerance)를 만족시 키는 이송속도를 결정하게 된다.

  • Acoustic response control of a corner-pinned plate using piezoelectric wafers was studied, both theoretically and experimentally. Three different sizes of aluminum alloy plates were used and available ball joints were employed to hold the plate at the four comers. The plate with the largest aspect ratio showed the largest and most clear responses to the acoustic excitation in the range of frequencies $(0\sim200Hz)$, and sound pressure levels $(80\sim100dB)$ as predicted. The reduction of the acoustic response of the plate by piezoelectric actuator was very significant, more than expected, but abatement of the sound transmission through the plate was only slightly altered by the piezoelectric actuator. This work is an original work extending earlier work with doors excited by acoustic fields. The important difference is the used of ball joints to simulate the joints.

  • This study is about the development of remote controlled bollard using the BLDC motor and ball screw with mechatronics theory. A bollard is composed of the sensor part and the control part. The sensor part is consisted of sensors that detect the locations of a bollard. The role of the control part is adjusting motor speed and power through variable resistance. In order to confirm required performance, the speed of decent and ascent of the bollard, the time and the RPM of BLDC motor were tested according to the variable resistance and the applied load with 10 to $72kg_f$.

  • This paper presents design of a cleaning robot with an omni-directional mobility. The cleaning robot driven with three wheels has been developed and Those omni-wheels enable the robot to move in any directions so that lateral movement is possible. Three wheels mechanism using ball-type tire has been developed to realize a holonomic omni-diredctional robot.
