Non Uniform B-spline(NUB) 곡면에 의한 블랜드 곡면의 모델링 (Modeling of blend surfaces by Non Uniform B-spline surface patches)

  • Presented in this paper is a scheme for constructing ball rolling blends of a non-uniform B-spline surface(NUBS) patches. Ball rolling blending is a popular technique for blending between parametric surfaces. Along the "common edge" of a pair of "base surfaces" to be blended, a sequence of "ball positions" is sampled. The radius of the ball may vary along the line. At each sampling point, a ball center point and a pair of ball contact points are computed by applying a Jacobian inversion method. Using ball contact points, the constructing scheme of blend NUBS patches consists three steps; 1) determination of intermediate control vertices; 2) determination of boundary vectors; 3) determination of B-spline control vertices. The proposed blending scheme has been tested in a Omega CAM system and found to be working satisfactorily.

  • To enhance machining efficiency, tool exchange time have to be reduced. Most automatic tool changer is made up of compound cam and motor. it is not easy to design and manufacture compound cam, and it has no flexibility. But if servo motor is used, it is easy to changer is developed with servo motor, clutch, ball-screw and spline nut. Experimental results show that automatic tool changer designed with servo motor have good faculties.

AMT용 새로운 변속자동 메커니즘 설계 및 해석 (Design and Analysis of a New Shift Automation Mechanism for Automated Manual Transmission)

  • This article proposes a novel shift automation mechanism for an automated manual transmission (AMT). The development of an automated manual transmission is currently being paid considerable attention by vehicle manufacturers, with the prospects of combining the comfort of an automatic transmission and the high efficiency of a manual transmission. In order to automate the shift mechanism of a manual transmission, the proposed shift automation mechanism consists of two electric motors, cross shaped pinion gears, rack type shift rails, and a ball splined hollow shaft. First we describe the shift mechanism and operating principles of a manual transmission to investigate important design criteria for the shift automation device. And a new shift automation mechanism is described with its structure, elements, and operating principles in detail. Using a conventional manual transmission, we develop a full three-dimensional CAD model of an AMT which includes main components of the manual transmission and the designed shift automation mechanism. Finally we investigate the operating performances and feasibility of the designed AMT by a dynamic analysis.

버퍼링 과정에서의 오차전파 측정을 위한 선험 프로젝트 수행 (A Pilot Project to Measure Propagated Error in Buffering Process)

  • 버퍼링은 근접 관련 공간분석에서 흔히 사용되는 기능의 하나이다. 버퍼링은 불가피하게 새로운 다각형을 생성하게 되는데 이는 버퍼전 객체의 주변에 볼을 굴려서 얻어지는 외곽선으로부터 생성된다. 버퍼링 과정에서 버퍼전 객체 상에 존재하는 오차는 새로이 생성된 다각형인 버퍼 후 객체로 전파된다. 본 논문에서는 버퍼링 연산의 시행시 이와 같은 오차의 전파양상을 선험 프로젝트에 기반하여 분석하여 보았다. 이를 위해 두개의 자료모델인 다중선과 스플라인 곡선모델이 이용되었다. 두 모델을 이용하여 버퍼전 객체상의 오차를 분류하고, 수학적으로 정의하고, 측정하여 보았다. 측정을 위한 선험 프로젝트의 대상은 미국 위스콘신주에 있는 호수의 경계로 하였다.
