플라이 휘일의 설계를 위한 지식기반 전문가 시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (A study for the development of knowledge based expert system for the design of flywheels)

  • 본 연구에서는 이러한 지식기반 전문가 시스템을 이용하여 에너지 저장용 기 계요소인 플라이 위일의 설계를 보조해 주는 지식기반 전문가 시스템을 개발하고자 한 다. 즉 플라이 휘일의 설계, 제작 과정을 크게 개념 설계, 상세 설계 및 해석, 제작, 시험의 단계로 분류할 때 본 연구의 목적은 초기 설계 단계인 개념 설계에 도움을 주 는 시스템을 구성하는 데 있다.프로그램의 구성은 정성적인 경험, 지식을 다룰 수 있는 기호적인 (symbolic)계산과 간단한 수치적인 (numerical)계산을 함께 할 수 있는 복합시스템(hybrid system)으로 구성하고 이러한 과정을 체계적이고 조직적으로 수행 하고 지식의 첨삭이 용이하도록 전체 설계광정을 계층 구조(hierarchical structure) 화하고 설계 자료를 자료 기반화하여 관리하며 그래픽과 연계시켜 전체 지식 기반 시 스템을 총합화 하였다.

흡기계 능동소음제어를 위한 적응형 필터 알고리즘의 개발 (Design of a New VSS-Adaptive Filter for a Potential Application of Active Noise Control to Intake System)

  • The filtered-x LMS (FX-LMS) algorithm has been applied to the active noise control (ANC) system in an acoustic duct. This algorithm is designed based on the FIR (finite impulse response) filter, but it has a slow convergence problem because of a large number of zero coefficients. In order to improve the convergence performance, the step size of the LMS algorithm was modified from fixed to variable. However, this algorithm is still not suitable for the ANC system of a short acoustic duct since the reference signal is affected by the backward acoustic wave propagated from a secondary source. Therefore, the recursive filteredu LMS algorithm (FU-LMS) based on infinite impulse response (IIR) is developed by considering the backward acoustic propagation. This algorithm, unfortunately, generally has a stability problem. The stability problem was improved by using an error smoothing filter. In this paper, the recursive LMS algorithm with variable step size and smoothing error filter is designed. This recursive LMS algorithm, called FU-VSSLMS algorithm, uses an IIR filter. With fast convergence and good stability, this algorithm is suitable for the ANC system in a short acoustic duct such as the intake system of an automotive. This algorithm is applied to the ANC system of a short acoustic duct. The disturbance signals used as primary noise source are a sinusoidal signal embedded in white noise and the chirp signal of which the instantaneous frequency is variable. Test results demonstrate that the FU-VSSLMS algorithm has superior convergence performance to the FX-LMS algorithm and FX-LMS algorithm. It is successfully applied to the ANC system in a short duct.

Effects of foot pressure using the elastic band with rings during sit-to-stand in persons with stroke

  • Objective: Persons with stroke have a tendency to exhibit asymmetric weight-bearing during sit-to-stand because due to the attempt to support themselves with the non-paretic foot. However, there are few devices that can assist with sit-to-stand (STS) performance. This study was designed to investigate the use of the elastic band with rings (EBR) in improving weight-bearing effectively in persons with stroke during STS training. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Thirteen stroke survivors participated in the study. An EBR was applied onto the patient during STS activity. The foot pressure was measured before and after wearing the EBR, with a 5-minute rest period between measurements. Subjects were asked to perform each test twice with and without the EBR. Bilateral feet pressures were measured with standing posture being divided into the forward and backward aspects. The foot contact pressure during STS activity was measured with the CONFORMat System. Results: With EBR, the forward pressure of the affected foot significantly increased while the less-affected forward foot pressure significantly decreased (p=0.015 and p=0.023, respectively). The backward foot pressure did not differ significantly in the two limbs, and there was no difference with and without the EBR in terms of the total pressure of the affected foot. There was a significant difference with and without the EBR in the total pressure of the less-affected foot (p<0.05). Conclusions: STS training with the EBR has been shown to improve weight-bearing of both feet while decreasing the total pressure of the less-affected foot in stroke survivors. Therefore, we suggest that the EBR is a useful tool for STS training for persons with stroke in the clinic.

재생 펌프의 날개 각도에 따른 성능 변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation on the Hydraulic Performance of the Regenerative Pump According to the Blade Angle)

  • The regenerative pump is a kind of turbomachine which is capable of developing high pressure rise at relatively lower flow rates compared to the centrifugal and axial pumps. Although the efficiency of regenerative pumps is much lower than other turbomachines, still they have been widely used in many industrial applications for working at low specific speeds. There are some theoretical models to analysis the pump performance, however, the effect of the blade angle on the pump performance has not been covered in any model to date. In the present study, experimental study on the regenerative pump performance according to the impeller blade angle and its shape has been carried out. The straight radial blades with forward, backward and chevron blades which have inclined angles of $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ were tested. The pump performance characteristics as the pressure head, efficiency were obtained depending on the flow rate for every impeller, and their results, expressed in appropriate non-dimensional coefficients, were compared and analysed in detail. From the experimental results, it was found that the pressure head and the efficiency depend strongly on the blade angles as well as the blade type. These experimental data has made it possible to better understand the effects of the blade angle on the pump performance, and widen the applicability of the current performance analysis and design models with including the effect of blade angles.

신발의 안정성에 따른 여성노인과 여대생의 균형능력 변화 (Changes of Balance Ability according to the Stability of Shoes in Elderly Woman and Female University Student)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of static and dynamic balance control ability according to the stability of shoes in elderly woman and female university student. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Six elderly women and seven female university students were recruited for this study. The subject's static and dynamic balance were evaluated while wearing two different types of shoes (comfortable running shoe and masai walking shoe). The BT4 system was used to measure the static (postural sway area and velocity) and dynamic balance (limit of stability on forward, backward and left and right side). The measurement of static and dynamic balance control ability was performed in standing posture wearing comfortable running shoes and masai walking shoes. Results: In the static balance control ability, both female university students and elderly women showed significant increase in postural sway area and velocity when wearing unstable shoes (p<0.05) In addition, in the dynamic balance control ability, both female university students and elderly women showed significant decrease in limit of stability on forward and backward when wearing unstable shoes (p<0.05). Conclusion: In selecting shoes for the elderly, the stability of shoe should be considered for prevention of falls.

PL에 근거한 LED 가로등의 결함 요소 발굴 및 분석 (Finding and Analysis of Defective Elements of an LED Streetlight Lamp Based on the Product Liability)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the range of defects mentioned in the Product Liability (PL) and to establish an objective basis and grounds for the analysis of accidents expected to happen by analyzing and presenting the external flame pattern and electrical characteristics of an LED streetlight lamp, a new lighting lamp. From the analysis of the cross-section of a cable carbonized by an external flame, it was observed that the wire's strand and insulation material had solidly adhered, and that greater voids were formed at the surface than at the center. Irregular carbide lumps were formed in the globe directly exposed to the flame, and the globe carbonized by the indirect flame showed characteristics that they had melted and flowed downward. It was found that the forward and backward resistances of the normal LED were approximately 1.74 [$M{\Omega}$] and 140 [$M{\Omega}$], respectively. The lamp burnt by the strong flame exhibited infinite forward and backward resistances and the LED did not emit light. The carbonized LED lamp was gray and exhibited fine delaminations. According to the Product Liability, a product defect signifies a simple product defect. Most of the defects were caused by the lack of stability, and the defect of the product itself occurred during the design and manufacture. The defects in warnings and markings include an insufficiency of handling manuals and warnings, expressive warranty violations, defective markings, etc. In order to prevent an accident resulting from a product, it is necessary to prepare safety warnings and documentation, establish clear-cut lines of liabilities, and subscribe insurances. However, it could be seen that important factors against the Product Liability were product improvement, response to compensation requests and law suits, credit restoration, etc.

웹 기반 전문가시스템의 자동생성체계 (Automatic Generation of Web-based Expert Systems)

  • 본 논문은 웹 기반 전문가시스템의 구현 구조들을 분석, 장단점을 비교하고, 웹 서버의 부하를 절감할 수 있는 HTML을 이용한 역방향 추론기관의 구현 방안을 제시한다. 웹 환경 하에서 전문가 시스템을 구현하는 방안틀로는 CGI를 이용하는 방법, 웹 서버에 추론기관을 내장하는 방법, 외부 뷰어를 이용하는 방법, Java Applet을 이용하는 방법, 그리고 HTML을 이용하는 방법 등이있다. 이들은 시스템 개발, 시험, 확장, 이식, 유지보수의 용이성, 대규모 서비스 가능성 등에서 각기 장단점을 갖고 있다. 특히, HTML을 이용하여 역방향 추론을 구현하면 위의 장점들을 상대적으로 많이 누릴 수 있다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 역방향 추론에서 진위형,OAV형 및 수치형 변수를 HTML과 JavaScript를 이용하여 표현하는 방안을 설명한 후 이를 바탕으로 HTML 방식의 전문가시스댐 설계 방법론을 제시한다. 또한, 기존 전문가시스템을 웹 기반으로 변환하기 위하여 기존 방식의 규칙베이스를 지식분석도로 바꾼 후 HTML 기반 전문가시스템을 생성하는 방법론도 설명한다.

항공용 임베디드 시스템을 위한 고장감내형 프로세서 설계와 오류주입을 통한 검증 (Fault Tolerant Processor Design for Aviation Embedded System and Verification through Fault Injection)

  • 본 논문은 고신뢰성 임베디드 시스템의 핵심 부품인 risc 프로세서에 forward 기반의 오류복원 기법을 적용한 fetch redundant risc(FRR) 프로세서와 backward 기반의 오류복원 기법을 적용한 redundancy execute risc(RER) 프로세서를 연구하였다. 제안된 프로세서의 고장감내 성능을 평가하기 위해서 base risc, FRR, RER 프로세서의 SystemC 모델을 제작하고 SystemC 기반 fault injection 기법을 이용하여 오류주입 시험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 세 프로세서의 고장률은 1-bit transient fault를 주입한 경우에는 고장률이 FRR 프로세서는 1%, RER 프로세서는 2.8%, base risc 프로세서는 8.9%로 확인되었으며, 1-bit permanent fault를 주입한 경우 FRR 프로세서는 4.3%, RER 프로세서는 6,5%, base RISC 프로세서는 41%로 확인되었다. 따라서 1-bit 오류가 발생하는 경우에는 FRR 프로세서가 가장 높은 신뢰성을 나타내는 것으로 판명되었다.

차감 동작 기법 기반의 효율적인 R파 검출 (Efficient R Wave Detection based on Subtractive Operation Method)

  • QRS 영역 중 R파는 ECG 신호 중 가장 큰 대표 신호라 할 수 있으며, 이 점을 기준으로 다양한 특징점을 검출하기 때문에 R파의 검출성능을 높이기 위해 많은 노력을 기울여 왔다. 하지만 R파 검출은 여러 종류의 잡음성분들로 인하여 이를 분석하는데 어려움을 준다. 또한 QRS 영역의 진폭과 유사한 T파나 P파를 R파로 오인함으로써 검출의 어려움이 발생한다. ECG 신호처리는 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 자원에 대한 효율성을 고려해야 하며, 소형화 및 저 전력을 위해 단순해야 한다. 즉, 최소한의 연산량으로 정확한 R파를 검출함으로써 다양한 부정맥을 분류할 수 있는 적합한 알고리즘의 설계가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 차감 동작 기법(Subtractive Operation Method, 이하 SOM) 기반의 심전도 신호의 R파 검출 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 형태 연산을 통한 전처리 과정과 경험적 문턱값과 차감신호를 통해 R파를 검출하였으며, 검출의 효율성을 위하여 RR 간격을 이용한 동적 역탐색 기법을 적용하였다. 제안한 알고리즘의 R파 검출 성능을 평가하기 위해서 MIT-BIH 부정맥 데이터베이스를 사용하였다. 성능평가 결과, R파는 평균 99.41%의 검출결과가 나타났다.
