A Development of Video Tracking System on Real Time Using MBR (MBR을 이용한 실시간 영상추적 시스템 개발)

  • Object tracking in a real time image is one of interesting subjects in computer vision and many practical application fields past couple of years. But sometimes existing systems cannot find object by recognize background noise as object. This paper proposes a method of object detection and tracking using adaptive background image in real time. To detect object which does not influenced by illumination and remove noise in background image, this system generates adaptive background image by real time background image updating. This system detects object using the difference between background image and input image from camera. After setting up MBR(minimum bounding rectangle) using the internal point of detected object, the system tracks object through this MBR. In addition, this paper evaluates the test result about performance of proposed method as compared with existing tracking algorithm.

  • The advanced traffic management system of intelligent transport systems automates the related traffic tasks such as vehicle speed, traffic volume and traffic incidents through the improved infrastructures like high definition cameras, high-performance radar sensors. For the safety of road users, especially, the automated incident detection and secondary accident prevention system is required. Normally, CCTV based image object detection and radar based object detection is used in this system. In this paper, we proposed the algorithm for real time highway incident detection system using multi surveillance cameras to mosaic video and track accurately the moving object that taken from different angles by background modeling. We confirmed through experiments that the video detection can supplement the short-range shaded area and the long-range detection limit of radar. In addition, the video detection has better classification features in daytime detection excluding the bad weather condition.

  • In this paper, we proposed a deep learning-based detection method using Saliency Attention to detect salient objects in images. The salient object detection separates the object where the human eye is focused from the background, and determines the highly relevant part of the image. It is usefully used in various fields such as object tracking, detection, and recognition. Existing deep learning-based methods are mostly Autoencoder structures, and many feature losses occur in encoders that compress and extract features and decoders that decompress and extend the extracted features. These losses cause the salient object area to be lost or detect the background as an object. In the proposed method, Saliency Attention is proposed to reduce the feature loss and suppress the background region in the Autoencoder structure. The influence of the feature values was determined using the ELU activation function, and Attention was performed on the feature values in the normalized negative and positive regions, respectively. Through this Attention method, the background area was suppressed and the projected object area was emphasized. Experimental results showed improved detection results compared to existing deep learning methods.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to improve the efficiency of the moving object detection in real-time surveillance camera system. The existing methods, the methods using differential image and background image, are difficult to detect the moving object from outside the video streams. The proposed method keeps the background image if it doesn't be detected moving object using the differential value between a previous frame and a current frame. And the background image is renewed as the moving object is gone in a frame. To decide people and wild pig, the proposed system estimates a bounding box enclosing each moving object in the detecting region. As a result of simulation, the proposed method is better than the existing method.

  • In the this paper, a gesture-based user interface based on object detection using predefined gesture and the tracking of the detected object is proposed. For object detection, moving objects in a frame are computed by comparing multiple previous frames and predefined gesture is used to detect the target object among those moving objects. Any object with the predefined gesture can be used to control. We also propose an object tracking algorithm, namely density based meanshift algorithm, that uses color distribution of the target objects. The proposed object tracking algorithm tracks a target object crossing the background with a similar color more accurately than existing techniques. Experimental results show that the proposed object detection and tracking algorithms achieve higher detection capability with less computational complexity.

  • Computational speed plays key role in background subtraction and shadow detection, because those are only preprocessing steps of a moving object segmentation, tracking and activity recognition. A color intensity variation based approach fastly detect a moving object and extract shadow in a image sequences. The moving object is subtracted from background using meanmax, meanmin thresholds and shadow is detected by decrease limit and correspondence thresholds. The proposed approach relies on the ability to represent shadow cast impact by offline experiment dataset on sub grouped RGB color space.

  • This paper proposes real time object detection and tracking algorithm that can be applied to security and supervisory system field. A proposed system is devide into object detection phase and object tracking phase. In object detection, we suggest Adaptive background subtraction method and Adaptive block based model which are advanced motion detecting methods to detect exact object motions. In object tracking, we design a multiple vehicle tracking system based on Kalman filtering. As a result of experiment, motion of moving object can be estimated. the result of tracking multipul object was not lost and object was tracked correctly. Also, we obtained improved result from long range detection and tracking.

  • Video based object tracking normally deals with non-stationary image streams that change over time. Robust and real time moving object tracking is considered to be a problematic issue in computer vision. Multiple object tracking has many practical applications in scene analysis for automated surveillance. In this paper, we introduce a specified object tracking based particle filter used in an environment of multiple moving objects. A differential image region based tracking method for the detection of multiple moving objects is used. In order to ensure accurate object detection in an unconstrained environment, a background image update method is used. In addition, there exist problems in tracking a particular object through a video sequence, which cannot rely only on image processing techniques. For this, a probabilistic framework is used. Our proposed particle filter has been proved to be robust in dealing with nonlinear and non-Gaussian problems. The particle filter provides a robust object tracking framework under ambiguity conditions and greatly improves the estimation accuracy for complicated tracking problems.

  • This paper describes an analysis of hardware design conditions of moving object detection algorithm which is based on effective Gaussian mixture learning (EGML). The simulation model of EGML algorithm is implemented using OpenCV, and it is analyzed that the effects of parameter values on background learning time and moving object detection sensitivity for various images. In addition, optimal design conditions for hardware implementation of EGML-based MOD algorithm are extracted from fixed-point simulations for various bit-width parameters.

  • The Object tracking by real-time image analysis is one of the major concerns in computer vision and its application fields. The Object detection process of real-time images must be preceded before the object tracking process. To achieve the stable object detection performance in the exterior environment, adaptive background model generation methods are needed. The adaptive background model can accept the nature's phenomena changes and adapt the system to the changes such as light or shadow movements that are caused by changes of meridian altitudes of the sun. In this paper, we propose a robust background model generation method effective in an illegal parking auto-detection application area. We also provide a evaluation method that judges whether a moving vehicle stops or not. As the first step, an initial background model is generated. Then the differences between the initial model and the input image frame is used to trace the movement of object. The moving vehicle can be easily recognized from the object tracking process. After that, the model is updated by the background information except the moving object. These steps are repeated. The experiment results show that our background model is effective and adaptable in the variable exterior environment. The results also show our model can detect objects moving slowly. This paper includes the performance evaluation results of the proposed method on the real roads.
