병원간호사의 해외취업 의향에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Intention of Migration by Hospital Nurses in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing intention of migration by Korean hospital nurses. Methods: Using cross sectional correlational design, data were collected from 512 nurses working in 7 hospitals ranging in size from 300 to 900 beds in D city and K province of Korea. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi-square, and multiple hierarchical regression using the SPSS program. Results: There were significant differences in intention of migration by age, educational background, marital status, work experience, and yearly incomes. Although there was high intention of migration of the subjects, the level of preparation for migration was relatively low. The variables that were independently associated with intention of migration were graduates of RN-BSN program, personal factors of subjects, and environmental factors. Those who had lower perception on nursing images and work condition had significantly higher intention of migration than those who had higher perception. Full model accounted for 37.3% of the variance in intention of migration. Conclusion: To prevent brain drain of competent nurses in Korea, appropriate strategies to enhance work condition should be developed and the effect of migration of nurses should be investigated in further studies.

대학생이 희망하는 신혼부부주택의 조건 (The desire of undergraduate and postgraduate students newly married housing requirements)

  • With the rise in national GNP, there has been a surge in people requiring adequate housing. The most who are in need of adequate housing are fresh graduates who have entered the job market, and newly-wed couples. Given the current economic condition it is difficult for young people and newly-wed couples to find reasonably affordable accommodations. In response to this, the government is trying to formulate a new policy, with the aim of helping young married couples find decent accommodation in response to the housing shortage. Research was performed last July with the aim of looking at the differences between the newlyweds' expectation of the idealistic housing and conditions. Questionnaires were distributed to undergraduate and postgraduate research students to find out their requirements. The questionnaire investigated the social background and the condition of the inhabited area; housing type internal facilities; the space required for housing; interior finishing, and storage facilities. The survey results were analyzed using SPSS and found that the design of small residential areas, the space requirements of more diversified individualized areas were the most important concerns for undergraduate and postgraduate research students. From the study we hope this will form a foundation for the design of the future housing social stratum. It is hoped that the current results and conclusions of this survey will be of help for the korean community to provide a direction and a positive input in the future design of newly married housing.

수정된 리버스 식스 테이핑 적용이 편평족의 균형과 보행에 미치는 영향 - 사전연구 (The Effect of Modified Reverse-Six Taping on the Balance and Gait Performance in Pes Planus - Pilot study)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of modified reverse-six taping on the balance and gait performance in Pes Planus. Methods: A total of twelve subjects (4 males, 8 females) in Pes Planus participated in this study. Navicular drop test was used to evaluate Pes Planus. Balance performance(anterior-posterior; A-P, medial-lateral; M-L), overall) was evaluated using the Biodex balance system in two difference condition(no-taping, with reverse-six taping). Gait performance (cadence, velocity) was evaluated using GAITRite System in two difference condition (no-taping, with reverse-six taping). Results: There were significant improvements of A-P and overall in the balance performance after using reverse-six taping (p<.05). there was no significant improvements of M-L balance performance. and, there were no statistical difference of cadence and velocity in the gait performance after using reverse-six taping. Conclusions: This study found that modified reverse-six taping in Pes Planus was improve the balance performance. but dose not affect the gait performance.

의료기관 내 전자파 환경 (Electromagnetic Fields in General Hospital)

  • Background: Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are ubiquitous in modern society including medical field. As the technology of medical instruments and telecommunications has developed rapidly, it has influenced on our lives in many ways. Modern medical practice requires high quality medical equipments, which have a great deal of electromagnetic interference and susceptibility. The purpose of this study were to evaluate electromagnetic condition under usual clinical condition and to suggest a practical guideline in general hospital. Materials and Methods: The actual state of the electromagnetic interference in the medical field was studied under usual clinical conditions including operating rooms, intensive care units, magnetic resonance imaging unit, and hyperthermia unit. Results: There was considerable noise as a result of electromagnetic fields from medical equipments including electrosurgical units and hyperthermia unit, and cellular phones, which could induce serious functional derangements of functioning medical devices. Conclusion: It will be necessary to evaluate the individual electromagnetic situations under various medical conditions and to define a limited zone for cellular phone as well as reposition medical equipments to secure a safer medical practice and to minimize electromagnetic interference.

Near-infrared Subwavelength Imaging and Focusing Analysis of a Square Lattice Photonic Crystal Made from Partitioned Cylinders

  • We study the focusing properties of a two-dimensional square-lattice photonic crystal (PC) comprising silica and germanium partitioned cylinders in air background. The finite difference time domain (FDTD) method with periodic boundary condition is utilized to calculate the dispersion band diagram and the FDTD method incorporating the perfectly matched layer boundary condition is employed to simulate the image formation. In contrast to the common square PCs in which the negative refraction effect occurs in the first photonic band without negative phase propagation, in our suggested model system, the frequency with negative refraction exists in the second band and in near-infrared region. In this case, the wave propagates with a negative phase velocity and the evanescent waves can be supported. We also discuss the dependency of the image resolution and its location on surface termination, source location, and slab thickness. According to the simulation results, spatial resolution of the proposed PC lens is below the radiation wavelength.

  • In the examination of Steam Generator (SG) tube in Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Eddy Current Testing (ECT) probes play an Important role in detecting the defects. Bobbin probe and Rotating Pancake Coil (RPC) probe is usually used for the inspection of SG tube. Bobbin probe is good at high speed inspection, but ability of detection of circumferential defect is very weak. On the contrary RPC probe, which moves for inspection in the direction of axial and circumferential simultaneously, has very slow inspection speed, but it was excellent detection capability fur small cracks, which is hardly detected by bobbin probe. Many examinations of SG tube examination of NPP are achieved during short period. Therefore, solution about this must develop probe of new form for examination performance and examination time shortening of other probe. In this paper, analyzed technological present condition of Bob-bin probe and RPC probe been using in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) for SG tube defect detection and Appeared about background theory and view of developed probe newly.

Dynamic field monitoring data analysis of an ancient wooden building in seismic and operational environments

  • The engineering background of this article is an ancient wooden building with extremely high historic and cultural values in Tibet. A full understanding of the dynamic behaviour of this historic building under in-service environments is the basis to assess the condition of the structure, especially its responses to earthquake, environmental and operational loading. A dynamic monitoring system has been installed in the building for over one year and the large amounts of high quality data have been obtained. The paper aims at studying the dynamic behaviour of the wooden building in seismic and operational conditions using the field monitoring data. Specifically the effects of earthquake and crowd loading on the structure's dynamic response are investigated. The monitoring data are decomposed into principal components using the Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) technique. The relationship between the average acceleration amplitude and frequencies of the principle components and operational conditions has been discussed. One main contribution is to understand the health condition of complex ancient building based on large databases collected on the field.

협대역 수중음향측정을 위한 신뢰도 기반의 측정정확도 분석 (Analysis of Measurement Accuracy Based on Confidences for Narrow-Band Underwater Acoustic Measurement)

  • 본 연구에서는 오차분산을 명확하게 표현하지 못하는 협대역 수중음향 측정체계의 측정성능 및 운용성을 설계 단계에서 사전 예측할 목적으로, 신호대잡음비에 따른 신뢰도 기반의 협대역 측정정확도 예측 기준을 제안한다. 제안 기준에서 신호의 평균과 분산은 신호의 샘플 개수와 신호대잡음비에 의해 표현된다. 본 논문에서는 편향된 환경에서 수중음향을 분석하는 경우와 배경소음을 사전 예측하여 측정음향에서 제거시키는 경우에 대하여 협대역 수중음향 측정성능 예측을 제안 기준에 의해 시뮬레이션하고 그 결과를 고찰한다.

노래방 소음 및 난청가능성의 인간공학적 평가와 청각보호방안 (Erogonomic assessment of "Noraebang" noise and potential hearing-loss and hearing protection strategies)

  • A research project was conducted to assess the levels of noise exposed to "Noraebang" users and potential hazards to noise-induced hearing loss due to commercial Noraebang noise. A two-way, mixed-factors factorial design was employed for the experiment using independent variables of "noise source" (no- singer, 1-singer, and 2-singer conditions) and "music type" (Trot, Ballad, and Rock music) with 18 normal hearing subjects. Each singer group sang 5 popular songs of each music type in each signing condition, whereas background music was just played for the no-singer condition. For each music played/sung, equivalent continuous sound pressure levels and maximum sound pressure levels were measured for data analysis purposes. Pure-tone audiometry was applied for measuring subjects' hearing threshold levels before and after exposure to Noraebgang noise. The statistical analyses indicate that average continuous noise levels due to Noraebang leisure environment were very serious, especially when two people were singing (higher than 95 dBA). Furthermore, maximum noise levels often exceeded the OSHA's non-premissible 115 dBA level. Worse yet, hearing loss assessment implies that Noraebang facilities may pose a serious threat to noise-induced hearing loss, based on 6-8 dB loss at 125 Hz and 8 dB loss at 4000 Hz after about 1-hour Noraebang noise exposure.

뇌파의 상관차원과 HRV의 상관분석 (Nonlinear Correlation Dimension Analysis of EEG and HRV)

  • Background and Purpose: We have studied the trends of EEG signals in the voluntary breathing condition by applying the fractal analysis. According to chaos theory, irregularity of EEG signals can result from low dimensional deterministic chaos. A principal parameter to quantify the degree of Chaotic nonlinear dynamics is correlation dimension. The aim of this study was to analyze correlation between the correlation dimension of EEG and HRV(heart rate variability). We have studied the trends of EEG signals in the voluntary breathing condition by applying the fractal analysis. Methods: EEG raw data were measured by moving windows during 15 minutes. Then, the correlation dimension(D2) was calculated by each 40-seconds-segment in 15 minutes data, totally 36 segments. 8 channels EEG study on the Fp, F, T, P was carried out in 30 subjects. Results and Conclusion: Correlation analysis of HRV was calculated with deterministic non-linear data and stochastic non-linear data. 1. Ch1(Fp1), Ch4(F3), Ch4(F4) is positive correlated with In LF. 2. Ch1(Fp1), Ch3(F3) is positive correlated with In TF.
