역기전력을 고려 한 브러시레스 전동기의 토크리플 저감에 관한 구동 방식에 대한 연구 (A Torque Ripple Reduction Drive Strategy for Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motor with Imperfect Back Electromotive Force)

  • This paper presents a drive strategy to reduce torque ripple of a permanent magnet Brushless DC Motor(BLDCM) with short $120^{\circ}$ flat top Back Electromotive Force(Back-EMF). In this strategy, the phase Back-EMF is divided into four sections. Then, in each section the phase current is regulated by corresponding PWM duty ratio to compensatethe torque ripple caused by imperfect Back-EMF. A program based on this strategy has been implemented in MATLAB@Simulink. The validity of the presented method is verified by simulation results.

  • According to previously published paper the phase advance angle is adopted to the BLDC motor drive with high speed. The report proposed describes the optimum algorism that phase current is in phase with the initial flat region of back EMF. This report studies the need of more leading phase advance angle compared with in phase concept between phase current and back EMF. In case of high reactance this report proposes the more phase advance angle than in phase. The test results more rms value of phase current and output power due to more phase advance angle than in phase. It will be helped the high power operation of BLDC motor at high speed.

  • This paper presents a study of the performance of a brushless DC motor (BLDCM) speed control system. Recently, most motor controls are implemented in digital electronics. Digital controllers tend to be more accurate, less susceptible to noise and more flexible in terms of programming. The system used a digital PI controller in order to implement the constant speed of Brushless DC motor. Microprocessor used in this experiment is 80c196kc. The applied motor has been constructed using a 50W, 150V, 3000rpm, four-pole motor.

  • The motor for torpedo propulsion is needed the compact and short rating high power characteristics. This paper describes the development of the motor through the theory and Finite Element Method(FEM) analysis for Brushless Direct Current Motor(BLDCM) of 7 phase 6 poles. Back EMF, inductance and eddy current loss were analyzed. The proposed methods like magnetic wedge acquired by these FEM analysis were introduced. Phase-leading angle using encoder was used. Test results on the motor of 7 phase 6 poles were showed the validity of proposed methods and phase-leading angle.

  • 본 논문에서는 휠체어의 탑승자의 구동력과 BLDCM(Brushless DC Motor) 에서 출력되는 보조력인 전기적인 구동력을 동시에 사용하는 탈부착형 하이브리드 휠체어의 동작제어방식을 제안한다. 기존에는 휠체어에 토크센서를 부착하여, 토크센서 신호의 피이드백을 통하여 보조력을 발생하는 방식이 적용되고 있지만, 제안된 방식에서는 토크센서의 사용없이 사용자의 동작을 간접적으로 검출하는 방식을 제안한다. 사용자가 휠체어의 핸드림을 조작할 때, 발생하는 휠체어의 동작을 3축 가속도 센서를 통해 모션을 예측하고, 이에 대응하는 구동력을 보조하는 PAS(Power Assist System)을 설계하였다. 사용자의 동작 예측을 위해, 3축 가속도 센서의 신호를 조합하여 전진과 후진 및 정지 상태 신호를 예측하는 방식을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 증명하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 그래픽 언어기반 소프트웨어인 LabVIEW와 Real-time Module 및 FPGA 모듈을 포함한 산업용 컴퓨터를 이용하여 BLDC 속도제어를 하려고 한다. 이 프로그램은 GUI기반으로 수집, 계측, 제어부분에 탁월한 성능을 가지고 있는 그래픽 언어이다. BLDC 속도제어를 하기 위해서 BD80-220N100의 BLDC를 사용하였으며, 드라이버를 연결하여 BLDC 속도제어 GUI 프로그램을 구현하였다. BLDC 속도제어를 하기 위해서는 먼저 속도 측정하여 모터의 속도에 대한 안정도를 판별하고 사용자가 원하는 응답에 안정하면서 빠르게 도달할 수 있도록 PI 속도제어를 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 그래픽 언어에 대한 이해 및 프로그램 코딩 습득을 하여 BLDC 모터 속도제어에 전반적인 가치를 두려고 한다. 본 연구를 통하여 하드웨어를 구성하거나 일반적으로 쓰는 텍스트 언어를 사용할 경우와 비교하여 수월하게 알고리즘을 변경시키며 유연성 있는 프로그램을 구현하였다.

  • Generally, the usage motor in the vehicle is exposed to highly ambient temperature and large vibration according to repeatedly starting and stopping during very short time. So, in this paper, the rotor shape design was performed to improve demagnetization endurance by considering starting current of Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM) through Finite Element Method(FEM). As a result, the end of Permanent Magnet (PM) in the basic model was occurring a partial irreversible demagnetization by starting current. To solve this problem, the installing flux barrier was limited to flux line on the core. Accordingly, demagnetization endurance and operating characteristics were improved.

  • The use of BLDC motor in Vehicle and industrial field, it is operated by continuous and intermittent driving. When the intermittent driving is occurred by the rise and fall of temperature repeatedly, it was represented by different characteristics in case of continuous driving. So, it is very important that heat source estimation according to the duty ratio. In this paper, temperature characteristics according to the operating method of BLDCM was calculated by using the thermal equivalent circuit, and the validity of the study was demonstrated as compared to the calculated and experimental results.

Torque Ripple Minimization in Direct Torque Control of Brushless DC Motor

  • This paper mainly proposes a direct torque control strategy to minimize torque ripple in brushless DC (BLDC) motor. BLDC motor has large current and torque ripple when one voltage vector applied in one cycle due to its low inductance. Hence, this paper proposed a hysteresis torque control with PWM mode to control the resultant torque. Moreover, when the direct torque control system is operating during the two-phase half-bridge $120^{\circ}$ conduction mode, large torque ripple in commutation area appears every 120 electrical degree. Based on analyzing the root of torque ripple in detail, lookup tables of switching devices states for new half-bridge modulation mode in the positive and negative reference torque put forwarded. Finally, simulations by MATLAB software and experiment results from DSP are presented to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy operating in four-quadrant operation.

Torque Maximization Control of 3-Phase BLDC Motors in the High Speed Region

  • This paper proposes a new torque control algorithm for BLDC motors to get the maximum torque in the high speed region. The delay of the phase currents is severe due to the stator reactance. The torque fluctuations of BLDC motors increase and the average torque is decreases due to a slow rise in the phase current when compared to the back EMF. In this paper, the phase current of BLDC motors under the high speed condition is analyzed and a torque maximization control is developed on the basis of using numerical analysis. Computer simulations and experimental results show the usefulness of the proposed control algorithm.
