우백혈병 바이러스감염 림프아구양 B 세포주(BL2M3)의 autocrine 증식 (Autocrine Growth of Bovine Leukemia Virus Infected-Lymphoblastoid B-Cell Line, BL2M3)

  • 우백혈병 바이러스감염 B 세포주(BL2M3 및 BL312)의 배양상층액에 대한 자기세포들의 증식반응을 검토하였다. 그 결과 BL2M3 및 BL312세포의 배양상층액을 자기세포인 BL2M3세포에 첨가했을 때 농도에 비례하여 현저한 증식을 유도하였다. 이것은 배양 4-5일차, 배양상층액의 첨가농도는 50-60%,세포수는 5x$10^4$-5x$10^{5}$ /ml에서 최적의 증식반응을 보였다. 우태아혈청(FBS) 무첨가 BL2M3 및 BL312세포의 배양상층액에 대해서도 BL2M3세포는 동일한 증식반응을 보였다. 한편 BL2M3 및 BL312세포의 배양상층액을 BL312세포에 첨가했을 때는 BL2M3세포의 경우에 비해 현저하지 않았다. 또한 BL2M3 및 BL312세포의 배양상층액은 말초혈액 림프구에 대해서도 pokeweed mitogen(PWM)첨가 유무에 관계없이 증식을 유도하였다. 그러나 PWM자극 말초혈액 단핵세포의 배양상층액은 BL2M3 및 BL312세포에 대해서 전혀 증식을 유도하지 못했다. 이상의 결과로부터 우백혈병 바이러스감염 B세포주 특히 BL2M3세포는 세포자신이 증식인자를 분비하고 그것과 반응하여 증식하는 소위 autocrine growth 양상을 보이는 것으로 판명되었다.

옥수수 일차뿌리에서 TIBA가 brassinolide에 의해 유도된 굴중성 반응에 미치는 영향 (Effect of TIBA on the Brassiolide-induced Gravitropic Response in the Primary Roots of Maize)

  • 옥수수 뿌리에 BL을 처리하면 양성굴중성 반응이 촉진되고, ethylene 생성도 증가한다는 것이 알려져 있다. BL에 의해 유도된 굴중성 반응과 ethylene 생성과의 관계를 조사하였다. ethylene 생성 억제제인 $10^{-4}$ M AVG를 처리하면 ethylene 생성은 90% 이상 억제되었으나, 굴중성 반응은 13% 정도 억제되었다. AVG를 BL과 함께 처리한 뿌리는 ethylene 생성은 약 60% 억제되었으나 굴중성 반응은 대조구 보다 증가하였다. 다른 ethylene 생성 억제제인 cobalt ion을 처리하면 ethylene 생성은 약 10% 정도 억제되었으나 굴중성 반응은 억제되지 않았다. BL과 cobalt ion을 함께 처리한 뿌리는 ethylene 생성이 억제되었으나 굴중성 반응은 증가되었다. 이러한 BL의 효과가 auxin transport와 관계가 있는지 알아보기 위하여 auxin transport inhibitor인 TIBA를 처리하였다. $10^{-5}$ M TIBA와 BL과 TIBA를 함께 처리한 경우(BL+TIBA), ethylene 생성은 각각 96%, 132% 증가하였으나 굴중성 반응은 모두 일어나지 않았다. 또한, BL, TIBA 그리고 IAA를 함께 처리한 뿌리 (BL+TIBA+IAA)는 음성굴중성 반응을 나타냈으나 뿌리 생장은 오히려 증가시켰으며, 이는 수평으로 있는 뿌리에서 IAA가 아랫면으로 transport 되지 못하고 윗면에 축적된 것을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 BL이 뿌리 내에 존재하는 IAA의 차등분포에 영향을 주어 양성굴중성 반응을 촉진할 가능성을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, Sheffer stroke BL-algebra and its properties are investigated. It is shown that a Cartesian product of two Sheffer stroke BL-algebras is a Sheffer stroke BL-algebra. After describing a filter of Sheffer stroke BL-algebra, a congruence relation on a Sheffer stroke BL-algebra is defined via its filter, and quotient of a Sheffer stroke BL-algebra is constructed via a congruence relation. Also, it is defined a homomorphism between Sheffer stroke BL-algebras and is presented its properties. Thus, it is stated that the class of Sheffer stroke BL-algebras forms a variety.

개에서 신수(BL-23) 및 방광수(BL-28)에 대한 침술이 방광기능에 미치는 영향 (The effect of acupuncture at BL-23 and BL-28 on function of the urinary bladder in dogs)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of urinary acupoint (BL-23, BL-28) by acupuncture (AP) and electroacupuncture (EA) on urinary bladder in dogs. Four healthy male dogs aged within the range of 6~8 months were used in this experiment. For Electrodes implantation on the bladder, dogs were to undergo surgical operation. The purpose of investigating the effect on urinary bladder was to evaluate electromyogram (EMG) changes according to AP or EA at Shen Shu (BL-23), Pang Guang Shu (BL-28) and non-acupoint. AP and EA (2~4 V, 10 Hz) were applied for 20 min to each point. EMG was evaluated when acupuncture began stimulation and as soon as the stimulation by electroacupuncture was gone. By the experiment of investigating the effect of urinary time it was estimated to measure time up to urination from stimulation on effective acupoint, after saline was filled with 70% of whole volumes on urinary bladder. The wave of EMG on resting stage showed simple and regular, whereas that of EMG on urination showed irregularly strong peaks before urination. Acupuncture of BL-28 had an influence on changes of EMG which had irregular peaks on urination. But the changes of EMG after acupuncture of BL-28 and control were regular like resting stage. The changes of EMG after EA at BL-23 and BL-28 showed irregularly a variety of wave forms. The interval through urination from stimulation at BL-28 and control become short as measuring time by EA (p<0.01). According to the results, AP at BL-28 was effective to urinary bladder. EA at BL-23 and BL-28 was effective to urinary bladder. Especially, the interval on stimulating at BL-28 by EA was the shortest in measuring time to urination from stimulation.

지실혈에서 지압의 방향에 따른 압통 역치의 변화 (Changes in the Pressure Pain Threshold by the Direction of Acupressure on Jisil(BL52))

  • 목적: 경혈 지압에서 모든 혈의 가압 방향은 통상적으로 수직 방향이다. 그러나 지실혈(BL52)에서는 수직 방향이 배꼽 부위를 향하는지 몸통의 중심을 향하는지 명확하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 30명의 대상자의 BL52에 대한 지압의 방향에 따른 압통 역치를 측정하여 효과적인 지압 방향을 연구하는 것이었다. 방법: 대상자의 명문혈(GV4)을 중심으로 좌우 지실혈까지의 거리와 GV4와 배꼽까지의 거리를 측정하여 명문혈 좌우 지실혈이 배꼽을 지나는 타원을 이용하여 좌우 지실혈에서 배꼽 방향 및 몸통 중심 방향의 각도를 계산했다. BL52에 두 방향으로 가압하면서 대상자들이 통증을 느끼는 시점의 압력을 통증 역치로 하였다. 압통역치는 대상자의 좌우 BL52에서 3분 간격으로 3번씩 측정하였다. 결과: 대상자들의 좌우 BL52에서 측정된 압통 역치는 몸통 중심부를 향하여 가압할 때 상대적으로 유의하게 감소하였다(p < .05). BL52에서는가압방향이몸통의중심부를향할때압력에대해더예민한것으로나타났다. 결론: 주변보다 외부 자극에 더 예민한 경혈의 지압 요법에서, BL52에서는 몸통의 중심부를 향하도록 지압하는 것이 배꼽 방향으로 지압하는 것보다 효율적이라는 것을 시사한다.

Pedunculagin의 NK cell에 대한 활성화와 흑색종의 전이 억제 효과 (Enhancement of NK Cytotoxicity and Antitumor Effect on Melanoma by pedunculagin)

  • Pedunculagin is an ellagitannin purified from Alnus hirsuta var. microphylla. Betulaceae. The effects of pedunculagin on immune system have been characterized to induce enhancement of NK (natural killer) cell cytotoxicities against tumor cells. Here, we report the evaluation of the effects of pedunculagin on the growth of murine Bl6-F10 melanoma in vivo. After the intradermal inoculation of Bl6-F10 melanoma, Bl6-F10 tumors grew progressively in immunocompetent syngenic C57BL/6 mice. The mice treated with pedunculagin(10 mg/kg, every 48 hrs) resulted in a significant improvement in survival. Inhibitory effects of pedunculagin on lung metastasis in C57BL/6 mice were also detected. Summarizing treatment with pedunculagin has a significant antitumor effect upon Bl6-F10 murine melanoma.

대학 수업에서의 블렌디드 러닝 만족에 영향을 미치는 학습자 변인 연구 (A Study on the Learner's factors affecting the Satisfaction of BL in Universities)

  • Considered as the "new normal" mode of learning, BL has become popular in recent years especially in University education. BL is defined as a learning approach that combines e-learning and face-to-face classroom learning. BL allows for more interactive and reflective learning environment resulting in enhancing learner-directed learning. The adoption of BL in university has made it significant to probe the crucial determinants that would entice instructors and learners to use BL and enhance learning satisfaction. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the affecting factors of the satisfaction of BL in universities in terms of leaner's aspects. Learner's role is very important in BL, because learner should self-directed study for effective performance and satisfaction in BL environment. Based on prior studies motivation, self-efficacy, and educational expectancy were identified as affecting factors of satisfaction in BL. According to the result of multiple regression, all factors(motivation, self-efficacy, and educational expectancy) were found to be significantly related to the learner's satisfaction in BL. It can provide practical guideline on effective operation strategy for BL in universities.

생물안전 4등급(BL4) 실험시설의 동선계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Circulation System of Biosafety Level 4 Laboratory Facilities)

  • Recently, with the advent of high risk infectious agent such as the Ebola virus, SARS, special research facilities dealing with such dangerous pathogenic are drawing attention gradually. Especially, this kind of facilities can be called BL4(Biosafety Level 4) facility. At the moment, Korean government is going to construct BL4 institute in order to handle efficiently such kind of pathogen. However, there are no proper design guidelines for BL4 facility. This paper proposes circulation system of BL4 facility on the basis of analysis of existing BL4 guidelines of Canada, and Korean BL3 facilities. The outcomes of this study are as follows. At first, functional areas of BL4 facilities have been divided into three categories according to the hazard level ; dangerous area, transitional area, and ordinary area. Secondly, circulation system of BL4 facility has been explored as a form of diagram according to the circulating subjects. These include human, laboratory animals, hazardous pathogen, equipments and cloth. This study has some limitations in that it lacks empirical evidences and concrete SOPs(Standard Operating Procedure). Despite of some weaknesses, it is expected to give some preliminary guidelines for the design of circulation system in BL4 facilities.

PM Assisted, Brushless Wound Rotor Synchronous Machine

  • This paper presents a new permanent magnet (PM) assisted topology for a recently introduced brushless wound rotor synchronous machine (BL-WRSM) [1]. The BL-WRSM had a dual-inverter configuration for generating a composite magneto motive force (MMF) with a fundamental component and a subharmonic component. The subharmonic component of the MMF is used for brushless excitation of the rotor. In this paper, additional PMs were introduced on the rotor of the BL-WRSM, making it a hybrid BL-WRSM. We also discussed the flux weakening operation for the hybrid BL-WRSM. The hybrid BL-WRSM offered advantages for starting the machine and provided better performance under full-load conditions. The finite element method (FEM) was used to analyze the performance of the hybrid BL-WRSM, and we compared its performance with BL-WRSM. Finally, prototypes were built with and without the PM-assistance, and experiments were conducted to demonstrate their performance.
