건설 기획 및 설계 단계 BIM/GIS 통합 플랫폼 활용을 위한 시나리오 도출 및 상세기능 정의 (Derivation of BIM/GIS Platform Application Scenarios and Definition of Specific Functions in Construction Planning and Design)

  • Building Information Model(BIM)과 Geographic Information Systems(GIS)는 각각 건설 분야의 전 생애주기(기획-설계-시공-유지관리) 단계에 걸쳐 다양하게 활용되어 왔다. 최근, BIM과 GIS의 통합을 통해 시너지 효과를 발휘하기 위한 BIM/GIS 통합플랫폼의 설계에 대한 연구가 수행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 건설기획 및 설계 단계에 BIM/GIS 플랫폼을 활용하기 위한 시나리오 및 상세 기능을 정의한다. 첫째, 업무를 분석하여 BIM/GIS 플랫폼을 활용하기 위한 단계 별 시나리오를 도출하고 해당 시나리오를 구현하기 위한 플랫폼 기능을 도출한다. 둘째, 각 플랫폼 기능을 구성하는 SW 기능을 정의한다. 건설기획 단계에서는 입지선정 및 노선선정 업무를 대상으로 하였으며, 건설 설계 단계에서는 기본설계와 실시설계 업무를 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 BIM/GIS 통합플랫폼 설계에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

BIM 기반 비선정 작업항목 물량산출 방법에 관한 연구 (Quantity Takeoff for Non-Selection Work Items based on BIM)

  • Estimates based on BIM makes it possible to perform from quantity take-off to construction cost estimates by using model, which is made in the phase of design and construction. As the BIM models are made up of the units of element, there an advantage of the automative quantity take-off, if the correction or change of element occurs. Work items, not included in the elements of the BIM model, are excepted from bill of quantity. Level of detail(LoD) of the BIM model can be improved for detailed estimates, but an excessive modeling for estimates is inefficient. This study presents the measure for selection and quantity take-off of work items, those are not expressed in the BIM model. The proposed method avoids the creation of excessive BIM Models and enables quantity take-off in conjunction with the element.

  • About 30% of the total annual energy consumption on the earth is used in the architectural activities, including construction, maintenance management, and demonstration of a building. Also, 40% of the natural resource consumption, 50% of $CO_2$ emissions, and 20%~50% of industrial waste emissions are produced from a building. Unfortunately, the percentage of its energy consumption is staidly increasing year by year, about 8% every year, and it recently causes a sustainable architectural concept to come to the fore globally. Indeed, the importance of the sustainable architecture is increasingly becoming a worldwide trend. BIM(Building Information Modeling) is considered a new paradigm and a powerful method in building design, construction and maintenance. BIM has characteristics similar to a building's systems. All of the components in a model have a parametric relationship to each other. Understanding and capitalizing on these interrelationships typically takes numerous iterations that span multiple projects. Optimizing the integrated strategies and technologies for a high-performance, sustainable design requires a continual look at understanding how they work together to deliver the best potential. Throughout all of these concepts, we are going to be using a variety of tools that revolve around a BIM model. Some of the tools will require a heavier use of BIM than others, but all of them will utilize the model geometry you've created as part of your design. This study presents importance and validity of energy performance analyzation in the pre-design phase for the sustainable architecture with the support of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.

BIM 기반 토목 라이브러리를 통한 견적자동화시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Automated Estimating System using BIM based Library)

  • 건설 프로젝트 생애주기 전반에 걸쳐 생성되는 정보를 3차원 모델을 기반으로 관리하는 BIM (Building Information Modeling) 기술은 계획, 설계, 구조해석은 물론 견적 및 3차원 시뮬레이션을 통한 시공계획 등 공사관리 업무를 통합하는 방향으로 발전하고 있다. BIM 기반 견적모델은 3차원 모델의 사용 용도에 따라 상세수준의 차이와 모델정보의 차이를 보이는데, 본 연구에서는 교량 구조물을 대상으로 하여 견적을 위한 모델의 LOD 수준을 파악하였다. 또한 건설정보 분류체계에 적용되는 라이브러리의 클래스를 정의하고 Microstation의 API를 이용하여 클래스의 파라메터를 추출하여 파라메터와 연동되는 Resource의 물량정보를 산출한다. 견적 모델과 상이하게 모델링된 모델에서 하위 모델을 계층화 하고 견적수준으로 병합함으로써 BIM 기반 토목 라이브러리를 통한 견적자동화시스템을 검증하였다.

딥러닝 기반 BIM 부재 자동분류 학습모델의 성능 향상을 위한 Ensemble 모델 구축에 관한 연구 (Advanced Approach for Performance Improvement of Deep Learningbased BIM Elements Classification Model Using Ensemble Model)

  • To increase the usability of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction projects, it is critical to ensure the interoperability of data between heterogeneous BIM software. The Industry Foundation Classes (IFC), an international ISO format, has been established for this purpose, but due to its structural complexity, geometric information and properties are not always transmitted correctly. Recently, deep learning approaches have been used to learn the shapes of the BIM elements and thereby verify the mapping between BIM elements and IFC entities. These models performed well for elements with distinct shapes but were limited when their shapes were highly similar. This study proposed a method to improve the performance of the element type classification by using an Ensemble model that leverages not only shapes characteristics but also the relational information between individual BIM elements. The accuracy of the Ensemble model, which merges MVCNN and MLP, was improved 0.03 compared to the existing deep learning model that only learned shape information.

  • In this study, neighborhood facility and office building to target two cases were performed BIM process. In the initial design phase of the planning process was conducted for the BIM process modeling, BIM in the design stage while performing the required range and level of the process were studied. Accordingly, from architectural firms to leverage BIM process, the proposed methods, efficient use of the modeling process proposed. Quality management information and input for the modeling and design process should be determined from the initial design and construction, including, for each field should be considered BIM, which require an appropriate range of information, according to these requirements, BIM creation and expansion of the level of information should be clearly defined. Perform the procedure for BIM in the process of communicating with stakeholders is critical. In addition, the input data and output data needed to perform management and to perform at the level obtained BIM design process and the model should be clear.

설계초기 동선 분석을 위한 BIM기반 정량 평가지표 및 평가체계에 관한 연구 (BIM-enabled Quantitative Indicators for Analyzing Building Circulation in Early Phase of Design)

  • In order to ensure a certain level of the quality of design, standardized evaluation indicators are being used as an objective criterion. Even though the evaluation indicators are quantifiable, limitations such as inefficiency and inconsistency caused by manual task in the evaluation process still have been found. BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology that is commonly adopted in architectural design process provides an environment which enables us to figure out a building model to be interpreted quantitatively with the basis of the building information model. It supports quantitative, consistent, accurate and quick evaluations so as to improve quality of design even in the initial design phase. This paper aims to establish BIM-enabled quantitative indicators and an evaluation framework to analyze building circulation even in early phase of design. The indicators are composed of 4 types (relative distance, accessibility, simplicity, pedestrian friendliness) and 7 sub-types. The evaluation framework is the process to derive Parameterized Path Value (PPV) as weighting on each indicator. For demonstrating the scalability of the suggested evaluation indicators and the framework, the authors implemented an evaluation tool and a case study has been carried out by using an actual building remodel project.

  • The main purpose of this study is to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the application of BIM to the educational facilities. To do so, we model Sanggye elementary school project using BIM, and consider other efficient methods for the lack of the information caused by the traditional blueprint. In addition, we try to lay the groundwork for expanding the application of BIM during the life cycle of an educational facility through researching a system to set up an accurate building information.

  • In order to apply the BIM technology effectively and efficiently during the life-cycle of project, it is important to deliver a accurate information on BIM from designer, and it should be used effectively at construction or maintenance stage. However, stakeholders have created a new BIM model at each phase in many practise adopting BIM, not used BIM generated in design stage.   • 최근 건축정보 분야에서는 터널, 교량 등 도시의 인프라에도 건축정보모델링(BIM: Building Information Modeling)이 적용되면서 대형화된 도시 건축물의 유지 및 관리를 위해 BIM 뿐만 아니라 건물의 외부환경에 대한 정보가 필요하게 되었다. 또한, 건축물정보모델 및 도시/지리정보 모델 간 정보의 상호운용성을 바탕으로 다양한 시뮬레이션 및 도시계획, 국토보안 등 기타 응용프로그램에서의 상당한 이익과 발전을 가져올 수 있다는 관점에서 공간정보와 빅 데이터의 융합은 강한 잠재력을 지니고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 건축정보 분야의 개방형 BIM(open BIM) 표준모델인 IFC(Industry Foundation Classes)와 GIS분야의 표준모델인 CityGML의 정보를 효율적으로 연계하기 위해 IFC와 CityGML, LandXML의 정보체계 및 형상표현의 차이점을 비교분석하였으며 공간정보 분석을 위한 객체기반의 건축 도시통합모델의 개발방향을 제시하고 BIM과 GIS 간의 기초 융합전략 및 활용방안을 마련하고자 하였다.
