  • This study started from the concern for Bjrake Ingels, an emerging architect in the architecture circle, who is creative and popular. Recently, the architecture field provides architects with a foundation to express a process on a new form creation through various new expressive languages, design concepts, and methods. The global Danish group BIG(Bjarke Ingels Group) develops a story by their distinctive architectural language. The storytelling is being used in various fields and now the tool called 'story' is settling down as an important element in the life that human lives. Bjarke Ingels leading the group BIG aims for the form expression by the scientific analysis and adaptation after being affected by Danish regional background and OMA. It creates a form to share stories with local members by visually simplifying the region, culture, environment, social phenomenon, economy, and politics that are invisible and do not have the form in the modern society. The elements and expressive features of the space storytelling include locality, cultural, natural environment, and connectivity which are the content structure(story) that enables you to intervene in the story according to the main agent to imagine a new space. The expressive element includes the watching moving line story of the successive, hierarchical, and organic structures which are constructive elements creating various spaces through the mixture, transmutability, and relocation of the program and inducing users to the space. The space storytelling is composed of the symbolism, community, and eco-friendliness to appear diversely through BIG's case analysis. This study will have significance that it drew a method and feature looked at by many contemporary architects from the storytelling viewpoint in the form-creating process, classified the form-creating process through a new storytelling type, and showed a possibility on the development of various methodologies.

  • With the aim of resolving important physical problems in the chromosphere of the Sun, we developed the Fast Imaging Solar Spectrograph for several years, and at last successfully installed it in the Coude room of the 1.6 meter New Solar Telescope at Big Bear in 2010 May. The instrument is an Echelle spectrograph with imaging capability based on slit scan, and can record two spectral bands (e.g., H alpha band and Ca II 8542 band) simultaneously. The early runs of the instrument produced data of high quality that are suited for the study of quiet Sun, filaments on the disk, prominences outside the limb, active regions and sunspots. We are ready to do good solar sciences using our own instrument, and will be able to do best sciences with the coming improvement of spatial resolution.

  • Social network technology has been increasing interest in the big data service and development. However, the data stored in the distributed server and not on the central server technology is easy enough to find and extract. In this paper, we propose a big data management techniques to minimize the processing time of information you want from the content server and the management server that provides big data services. The proposed method is to link the in-group data, classified data and groups according to the type, feature, characteristic of big data and the attribute information applied to a hash chain. Further, the data generated to extract the stored data in the distributed server to record time for improving the data index information processing speed of the data classification of the multi-attribute information imparted to the data. As experimental result, The average seek time of the data through the number of cluster groups was increased an average of 14.6% and the data processing time through the number of keywords was reduced an average of 13%.

  • This study defines concept and service framework of Geo-Spatial Big Data(GSBD). The major concept of the GSBD is formulated based on the 7V characteristics: the general characteristics of big data with 3V(Volume, Variety, Velocity); Geo-spatial oriented characteristics with 4V(Veracity, Visualization, Versatile, Value). GSBD is the technology to extract meaningful information from Geo-spatial fusion data and support decision making responding with rapidly changing activities by analysing with almost realtime solutions while efficiently collecting, storing and managing structured, semi-structured or unstructured big data. The application area of the GSBD is segmented in terms of technical aspect(store, manage, analyze and service) and public/private area. The service framework for the GSBD composed of modules to manage, contain and monitor GSBD services is suggested. Such additional studies as building specific application service models and formulating service delivery strategies for the GSBD are required based on the services framework.

  • The intestinal microbiomes vary according to the factors such environment, age and diet. The purpose of this study was to compare the gut microbial diversity between Korean infants receiving breast-fed milk and formula-fed milk. We analyzed microbial communities in stool samples collected from 80 Korean infants using next generation sequencing. Phylum level analysis revealed that microbial communities in both breast-fed infants group (BIG) was dominated by Actinobacteria ($74.22{\pm}3.48%$). Interestingly, the phylum Actinobacteria was dominant in formula-fed infants group A (FIG-A) at $73.46{\pm}4.12%$, but the proportions of phylum Actinobacteria were lower in formulafed infants group B and C (FIG-B and FIG-C) at $66.52{\pm}5.80%$ and $68.88{\pm}4.33%$. The most abundant genus in the BIG, FIG-A, FIG-B, and FIG-C was Bifidobacterium, comprising $73.09{\pm}2.31%$, $72.25{\pm}4.93%$, $63.81{\pm}6.05%$, and $67.42{\pm}5.36%$ of the total bacteria. Furthermore, the dominant bifidobacterial species detected in BIG and FIG-A was Bifidobacterium longum at $68.77{\pm}6.07%$ and $66.85{\pm}4.99%$ of the total bacteria. In contrast, the proportions of B. longum of FIG-B and FIG-C were $58.94{\pm}6.20%$ and $61.86{\pm}5.31%$ of the total bacteria. FIG-A showed a community similar to BIG, which may be due to the inclusion of galactooligosaccharide, galactosyllactose, synergy-oligosaccharide, bifidooligo and improvement material of gut microbiota contained in formula-milk. We conclude that 5-Bifidus factor contained in milk powder promotes the growth of Bifidobacterium genus in the intestines.

  • Big ideas are overarching principles that help students to build a holistic understanding of domain-specific knowledge and assimilate individual facts and theories. This study aims to design a standard-based integrated science curriculum framework based on Big Ideas. The core contents were extracted by analysing the 2009 National Science Standards curriculum of primary and middle schools. Four Big Ideas, 'diversity,' 'structure,' 'interaction,' and 'change,' were generated after the process of examination and categorization of core contents. The scientific facts, disciplinary concepts, and interdisciplinary concepts of every scientific domains included in each Big Idea are represented as a knowledge pyramid. Essential questions guiding the direction of curriculum design were proposed on each Big idea. Based on the framework, teaching modules for 'structure' were developed for grades 5~6.

  • Since renal cell carcinoma(RCC) has various examination and treatment methods according to clinical stage and histopathological characteristics, it is required to determine accurate and efficient treatment methods in the clinical field. However, the process of collecting and processing RCC medical data is difficult and complex, so there is currently no AI-based clinical decision support system for RCC treatments worldwide. In this study, we propose a clinical decision support system that helps clinicians decide on a precision treatment to each patient. RCC standard big database is built by collecting structured and unstructured data from the standard common data model and electronic medical information system. Based on this, various machine learning classification algorithms are applied to support a better clinical decision making.

  • Recently, Internet services via various devices including smartphone have become available. Because of the development of ICT, numerous hacking incidents have occurred and most of those attacks turned out to be APT attacks. APT attack means an attack method by which a hacker continues to collect information to achieve his goal, and analyzes the weakness of the target and infects it with malicious code, and being hidden, leaks the data in time. In this paper, we examine the information collection method the APT attackers use to invade the target system in a short time using big data, and we suggest and evaluate the countermeasure to protect against the attack method using big data.
