Analysis of Radiosonde Daily Bias by Comparing Precipitable Water Vapor Obtained from Global Positioning System and Radiosonde

  • In this study, we compared the precipitable water vapor (PWV) data derived from the radiosonde observation data at Sokcho Observatory and the PWV data at Sokcho Global Positioning System (GPS) Observatory provided by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, from 0000 UTC, June 1, 2007 to 1200 UTC, May 31, 2009, and analyzed the radiosonde bias between the day and the night. In the scatter diagram of the daytime and nighttime radiosonde PWV data and the GPS PWV data, dry bias was found in the daytime radiosonde observation as known in the previous study. In addition, for all the rainfall events, the tendency that the wet bias of the radiosonde PWV increased as the GPS PWV decreased and the dry bias of the radiosonde PWV increased as the GPS PWV increased was significantly less distinctive in nighttime than in daytime. The quantitative analysis of the bias and error of the radiosonde PWV data showed that the mean bias decreased in the second year, regardless of nighttime or daytime rainfall, and the non-rainfall root mean square error (RMSE) was similar to that of the previous studies, while the rainfall RMSE was larger to a certain extent.

고효율 전력증폭기 설계를 위한 가변 바이어스 기법 (Variable Bias Techniques for High Efficiency Power Amplifier Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 설계된 전력증폭기에서 가변 바이어스 기법을 이용하면 전력부가효율을 증가시킬 수 있다는 것을 보였다. 서로 다른 출력전력을 갖는 이중 모우드에서 높은 효율을 얻기 위하여 가변 바이어스 기법을 이용하고 바이어스 변화에 따른 영향을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 게이트 전압을 고정하고 드레인 바이어스를 시뮬레이션으로 최적값을 구하여 이를 변화하여 전력증폭기의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 또한 전력증폭기의 비선형 특성을 분석하고 디지털 사전왜곡 기법을 이용하여 이중 대역 증폭기의 송신기의 ACPR 특성을 최대 10dB 개선되었다.

Ferromagnetic Resonance and X-Ray Reflectivity Studies of Pulsed DC Magnetron Sputtered NiFe/IrMn/CoFe Exchange Bias

  • Ferromagnetic resonance and X-ray specular reflectivity measurements were performed on $Ni_{81}Fe_{19}/Ir_{20}Mn_{80}/Co_{90}Fe_{10}$ exchange bias trilayers, which were grown using the pulsed-DC magnetron sputtering technique on Si(100)/$SiO_2$(1000 nm) substrates, to investigate the evolution of the interface roughness and exchange bias and their dependence on the NiFe layer thickness. The interface roughness values of the samples decrease with increasing NiFe thickness. The in-plane ferromagnetic resonance measurements indicate that the exchange bias field and the peak-to-peak line widths of the resonance curves are inversely proportional to the NiFe thickness. Furthermore, both the exchange bias field and the interface roughness show almost the same dependence on the NiFe layer thickness. The out-of plane angular dependent measurements indicate that the exchange bias arises predominantly from a variation of exchange anisotropy due to changes in interfacial structure. The correlation between the exchange bias and the interface roughness is discussed.

  • 와이브로 및 무선랜 이중 대역 이중 모우드 송신기에서 전력부가효율을 증가시킬 수 있는 바이어스 스위칭 기술을 제시한다. 서로 다른 주파수 대역과 출력을 갖는 송신기에서 높은 효율을 얻을 수 있는 기법으로 바이어스 스위칭을 제안하고 드레인과 게이트 바이어스의 변화에 따른 영향을 각각 시뮬레이션 하였다. 바이어스 스위칭을 적용하지 않은 경우의 전력부가효율에 비해 시뮬레이션 된 최적의 고정 게이트 바이어스를 공급하고 드레인 바이어스 스위칭을 한 경우 매우 개선된 전력 효율 특성을 얻을 수 있었다 이러한 드레인 및 게이트 바이어스 스위칭 기술은 다양한 기능을 필요로 하는 다중 모우드 통신 시스템에 유용할 것이다.

  • Bias 인가된 hot filament CVD 방법을 이용해 티타늄을 RF sputtering 법으로 고속도강에 피복하여 중간 층으로 한 후 다이아몬드 박막을 피복할 때 bias 전압의 영향과 계면 층의 특성을 조사하였다. 다이아몬드 증착 시 bias가 인가될 경우 필라멘트에서 전자 방출이 촉진되어 다이아몬드 핵생성과 성장을 촉진시켰으며 본 실험에서의 최적 증착 조건은 증착 압력 20 torr, bias 인가전압 200V, 기판온도 $700^{\circ}C$로 나타났다. 강에의 다이아몬드 박막 형성 시 중간 층으로서의 티타늄은 Fe 및 C에 대한 확산도가 높고 탄화물 형성 원소이므로 다이아몬드 핵생성 및 성장에 적합한 원소로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서 보청기를 위한 개별 BJT 소자의 효과적인 바이어스 회로를 제안한다. 보청기에 널리 사용되는 컬렉터 귀환 바이어스 회로는 부귀환 저항을 가지고 있다. 이 저항은 AC와 DC에 동시에 영향을 줌으로서 DC 바이어스 점의 변화 없이 증폭기의 이득을 변화시키기 어렵다. 또한 기존회로는 보청기의 이득이 높을 경우 전원 잡음의 정귀환으로 발진할 수 있는 단점이 있다. 제안된 회로는 컬렉터 귀환 바이어스회로에 베이스와 전원 사이에 컬렉터 저항보다 β배 더 큰 저항을 추가하여 기존회로의 두 가지 단점을 줄일 수 있다. 제안된 회로에서 DC 바이어스 점의 변화 없이 증폭기의 이득을 변경 할 수 있고 모의실험에서 기존회로보다 전원 잡음 이득을 18.5%정도 감소시킬 수 있다.

바이어스 인가 방식에 의한 컬러 화강석 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Color Granite Fabrication by Bias Enhancement Method)

  • In this study, we investigated the color change of the normal light gray granite as the high value color granite. By coating the metal catalyst liquid on the surface of granite stone, the metal particles were penetrated into the granite and the color of granite was changed permanently through the annealing treatment. To increase penetration depth into the granite, we used DC (direct current) bias. Two kinds of bias were used such as DC bias and pulse DC bias. And the penetration time was changed as 30 and 60 min. In all cases, the color granite were successfully obtained. Regardless of the catalyst reaction time, the penetration depth was increased by using the bias treatment. We obtained a penetration depth of 21 mm with the DC pulse bias during 60 min.

성인의 건강위기에 대한 낙관적 편견과 건강행위 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Optimistic Bias about Health Crisis and Health Behavior)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify the relationship between optimistic bias about health crisis and health behavior of Korean adults in a crisis of health, and to prepare baseline data for developing a health education and promotion program. Methods: Study subjects were 595 aged from 19 to 64 who live in Korea. Data were collected through questionnaires administered by one interviewer. Descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient were calculated using the SPSS program. Results: The average score for optimistic bias about health crisis was 2.69, and that for health behavior was 107.05. The optimistic bias about health crisis showed a significantly positive correlation with health behavior (r=.187, p=.000). Conclusion: To make our results more useful, it is necessary to identity the causal relationship between health attitudes as an explanatory variable and optimistic bias as an outcome variable. In addition, a relatively low score in optimistic bias from this research compared to other studies must be explained through further studies considering unique Korean cultural background. Moreover, research of the relationship between optimistic bias about health crisis and health behavior looking at people who don't have good health behaviors is needed.

폴리카보네이트에서의 표면개질 조건과 DC-Bias Sputtering 증착에 따른 Cu 밀착성 (Adhesion of Cu on Polycarbonate with the Condition of Surface Modification and DC-Bias Sputtering Deposition)

  • The enhancement of adhesion for Cu film on polycarbonate (PC) surface with the $Ar/O_2$ gas plasma treatment and dc-bias sputtering was studied. The plasma treatment with this reactive mixture changes the chemical property of PC surface into hydrophllic one, which is shown by the variation of contact angle with surface modification. The micro surface roughness that also gives the high adhesive environment is increased by the $Ar/O_2$ gas plasma treatment. These results were observed distinctly from the atomic force microscopy (AFM). The negative substrate dc-bias effect for the Cu adhesion on PC was also investifated. Accelerated $Ar^{+}$ lons in sheath area of anode bombard the bare surface of PC during initial stage of dc bias sputtering. PC substrate. therefore, has severe roughen and hydrophilic surface due to the physical etching process with more activated functional group. As dc-bias sputtering process proceeds, morphology of Cu film shows better step coverage and dense layer. The results of peel test show the evidence of superiority of bias sputtering for the adhesion between metal Cu and PC.C.

교류 순방향 바이어스에 따른 형광 OLED의 전계 발광 특성 (Electroluminescent Characteristics of Fluorescent OLED with Alternating Current Forward Bias)

  • In order to study the AC driving mechanism for OLED lighting, the fluorescent OLEDs were fabricated and the electroluminescent characteristics of the OLEDs by AC forward bias were analyzed. In the case of the driving method of OLED by AC forward bias under the same voltage and the same current density, degradation of luminescent characteristics for elapsed time progressed faster than in the case of the driving method by DC bias. These phenomena were caused by the peak voltage of AC forward bias which is ${\sqrt{2}}$ times higher than the DC voltage. In addition, the degradation of the OLED was accelerated because the AC forward bias had come close to the upper limit of the allowable voltage range even though the peak voltage didn't exceed the allowable range of the OLED. However, the fabricated fluorescent OLED showed little degradation of OLED characteristics due to AC forward bias from 0 V to 6.04 V. Therefore, OLED lighting by AC driving will become commercialized if sufficient luminance is realized at a voltage at which the characteristics of the OLED are not degradation by the AC driving method.
