이방성 이종재료의 접합계면 균열에 대한 응력확대계수 결정에 대한 연구 (A Study on Determination of Stress Intensity Factors for the Interface Crack in Dissimilar AnisotropicMaterials)

  • 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 배경에서, Fig. 1(f)와 같이 가장 일반적인 이방성 재료가 접합된 경우의 응력확대계수를 명확히 정의하고, 수치해석법으로 구할 수 있는 외삽식을 제안한다. 또한, 탄성문제의 수치해석 방법으로 적은 요소의 분할로써 고 정밀도의 수치해석 결과를 얻을 수 있는 경계요소법(boundary element method:BEM), 특히 저자들이 개발한 복합재료에 대한 2차원 경계요소법 프로그램을 이용하여 이방성 이종재료 접합계면 균열의 응력확대계수를 해석하고, 복합재료내의 섬유방향에 대한 접합계면 균열의 정성적 거동을 고찰하고자 한다.

  • 탄성 반도체 칩과 점탄성 접착제층의 계면에 존재하는 모서리 균열에 대한 응력확대계수를 조사하였다. 이러한 균열들은 자유 경계면 부근에 존재하는 응력 특이성으로 인해 발생할 수 있다. 계면 응력상태를 해석하기 위해서 시간 영역 경계요소법이 사용되었다. 작은 크기의 모서리 균열에 대한 응력확대계수가 계산되었다. 점탄성 이완으로 인해 응력확대계수의 크기는 시간이 경과함에 따라 작아진다.

  • The effects of internal fluid motion have to be considered in the analysis of liquid storage containers. Therefore this thesis developed a three-dimensional boundary element-finite element method for the analysis of rectangular liquid storage containers. The irrotational motion of inviscid and incompressible ideal fluid is modeled by using boundary elements and the motion of structure by finite elements. Coupling is performed by using compatibility and equilibrium conditions along the interface. Dynamic response characteristics of rectangular liquid storage containers such as sloshing motion, hydrodynamic pressure, displacement by fluid-structure interaction are investigated.

  • 4-Pole parameter method based on an acoustic theory is very popular for the analysis of the acoustic behavior of the car exhaust system. However, this method is applicable only for the simple shape of acoustic elements of the muffler. Numerical methods such as FEM(Finite Element Method) or BEM(Boundary Element Method) can also provide acceptable results for the acoustic analysis of the car exhaust system. Even though these numerical methods have benefits for the analysis of complicated shape of acoustic elements of the muffler, time consuming is another problem during modeling and numerical calculation. Combining benefits of both methods, the new code called the hybrid method for car exhaust system is introduced. And the developed code is utilized for calculation of the transmission loss of a main muffler of an automobile comparing with the experimental results.

Numerical and experimental study on the impact between a free falling wedge and water

  • In this paper, numerical and experimental studies are performed to investigate the liquid impact on a free falling wedge. In the numerical simulation, the structure is assumed to be rigid and the elastic response is ignored. The fully nonlinear coupling between wedge and water is considered by an auxiliary function method based on the Boundary Element Method (BEM). At the intersection of the wedge surface and liquid surface, two coincident nodes are used to decouple the boundary conditions. The Eulerian free surface conditions in the local coordinate system are adopted to update the deformed free surface. In the experiments, five pressure sensors are fixed on each side of the wedge which is released from an experimental installation. Steel and aluminum wedges that have different structural elasticity are used in the experiments to investigate the influence of structural elasticity on the impact force. Numerical results are compared with experimental data and they agree very well. The influence of fluid gravity, body mass, initial entry speed and deadrise angle on the impact pressure are further investigated.

CAE를 이용한 파워트레인의 방사소음 저감을 위한 구조변경 (Structural Modification for the Reduction of Radiation Noise of a Powertrain Based on CAE Technology)

  • One of the key elements in efforts to minimize noise radiation from a powertrain is the knowledge of the main radiating component and the relation between the surface vibration of a powertrain and the sound pressure. In this research, the powertrain model is developed based on FEM(finite element method). This model is applied to the prediction of the vibration of a powertrain by using ADAMS and the radiation noise by using BEM(boundary element method). According to this numerical analysis, the surface vibration of a powertrain is investigated as a source of radiated noise. This surface vibration is caused by the 1st order natural vibration of the cylinder block and its mode shape is the torsion mode. Therefore, this mode shape is modified to reduce the surface vibration of the powertrain. The radiation noise of the modified powertrain is also reduced to $5{\sim}12\;dB$. This modification is very successful for the noise reduction based on the CAE technology.

  • High-Pressure gas Pipeline which is buried in underground has the Possibility that will be exposed to unexpected dangerous impact of construction equipment. To protect from this kind of danger, the real-time health monitoring system of the high-pressure gas pipeline is necessary. First of all, to make the real-time health monitoring system clearly, the acoustic wave propagation characteristics which are made from various construction equipment impacts must be identified. In link of technical development that prevents the damage of high-pressure gas pipeline, this paper gives FEM(finite element method) and BEM(boundary element method) solutions to identify the acoustic wave propagation characteristic of the various impact input signals which consist of Direc delta function and convolution signal of 45 Hz square signal and random signal.

선박용 대형 덕트의 소음 특성 전산해석 연구 (Computational Analysis on the Noise Characteristics of Ship Large Duct)

  • 공조시스템의 소음 예측은 주로 NEBB에서 제안한 경험적인 방법에 의해 수행된다. 그러나, NEBB에서 제안한 방법은 선박에만 있는 대형 덕트의 요소를 반영하지 못하므로 선박에 적용하는데 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 선박용 대형 덕트의 소음 예측을 위한 전산해석방법을 연구하였다. 경계요소법을 사용하여 대형 덕트의 단위 길이당 소음 감소량에 대한 추정식을 개발하였고, 경계요소법과 전산유체역학을 사용하여 보강재가 설치된 대형 덕트에서의 유동기인소음을 예측하였다. 유입 유속이 10m/s, 보강재의 종류가 200플랫 바인 경우 100 dB 이상의 큰 소음이 발생하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 경계요소법과 유한요소법을 사용하여 덕트 투과 소음을 예측하였다. 덕트 내부와 외부의 음압 값 차이는 대략 10~15 dB정도 인 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해 조선소에서는 대형 덕트를 포함한 선박 HVAC 소음 예측을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • The objective of this study is to understand the generation mechanism of sound and to develop a prediction method for the acoustic pressure field of a centrifugal fan. If the fan is operating at the free field without the casing, the acoustic analogy is a good method to predict the acoustic of the fan. But, the casing gives a dominant effect to the radiated sound field and the scattering effect of casing should be considered. So, in this paper the Kirchhoff-BEM is developed, which can consider the scattering effect of the rigid body. In order to consider the scattering and diffraction effects owing to the casing, BEM is introduced. The source of BEM is newly developed, so the sound field of the centrifugal fan can be obtained. In order to compare the predicted one with experimental data, a centrifugal impeller and a wedge are used in the numerical calculation and the results are compared with the experimental data. Reasonable results are obtained not only for the peak frequencies but also for the amplitudes of the tonal sound. The radiated acoustic field shows the diffraction and scattering effects of the wedge clearly.

  • Typical analytical tools in noise level estimation are using BEM and Ray Acoustics for acoustic field.0 this paper, application of both approaches have been examined for the prediction on the exterior surface of railway vehicles. Advantages and disadvantages of the tool have been also evaluated. The result shows that sound understanding of the analytical tools for noise evaluation is necessary.
