수출제조기업의 효율성 결정요인에 관한 분석: 코스닥 기업의 연구개발집약도를 중심으로 (Determinants of Export Manufacturing Firm Efficiency: Focusing on R&D Intensity in a KOSDAQ-listed Firm)

  • 본 연구는 수출제조기업의 효율성을 분석하고, 이러한 효율성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는데 연구목적이 있다. DEA를 활용한 수출제조기업의 효율성 분석에는 투입변수로 종업원수와 자본을 활용하고 산출변수로 매출액을 활용하였다. 수출제조기업의 효율성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 기존 실증연구를 기초로 연구개발집약도, 수출집약도, 인건비비율, 일반관리비비율, 총자산, 유동성 및 자기자본비율을 선정하였다. 실증분석에는 369개 코스닥 수출제조기업의 2013년부터 2015년까지 3년간 패널자료를 활용하였다. 패널 Tobit 회귀분석을 활용한 실증분석결과 중에서 코스닥 수출제조기업 전체를 대상으로 한 분석결과에서는 연구개발집약도, 인건비비율, 총자산 및 자기자본비율이 CCR효율성과 BCC효율성에 부의 영향을 미치고, 수출집약도가 CCR효율성에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 코스닥 수출제조기업 중 대기업을 대상으로 한 분석결과에서는 연구개발집약도가 CCR효율성과 BCC효율성에 정의 영향을 미치고, 수출집약도, 인건비비율 및 자기자본비율이 CCR효율성과 BCC효율성에 부의 영향을 미치고, 일반관리비비율이 BCC효율성에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 코스닥 수출제조기업 중 중소기업을 대상으로 한 분석결과에서는 연구개발집약도, 인건비비율, 총자산 및 자기자본비율이 CCR효율성과 BCC효율성에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

응급실에서의 폭력 환자 예측을 위한 한국어판 행동신호 사정도구의 유용성 검증 (Usefulness of Korean Version of Behavioral Cue Checklist for Predicting of Patient Violence in Emergency Departments)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of a behavioral cue checklist (BCC) containing 17 items developed by Wilkes et al. (2010) for identifying potentially violent patients in emergency departments. Methods: This was a prospective observational study to evaluate the usefulness of the Korean version of a BCC (K-BCC) as an assessment tool for predicting patient violence in emergency departments, and was conducted over 4 weeks in a regional emergency medical center located in B City. A total of 1,324 patients were finally analyzed. Results: Logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate whether each item of the K-BCC predicts violence, and a parsimonious set of 8 statistically significant items was selected for the tool. Receiver operating characteristic analysis of the BCC showed that the area under the curve was .97 (95% confidence interval: .94~1.0). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value at the cut-off score of 2 were 75.6%, 98.9%, 68.2%, and 99.2%, respectively. Conclusion: The K-BCC was found to be useful in predicting patient violence toward emergency department staff. This tool is simple, and fast to use and can play a significantly role identifying potentially violent patients. Owing to this advance identification, this tool can be helpful in preventing the potential for violence from manifesting as violent behaviors.

A Retrospective Clinical View of Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma in the Head and Neck Region: A Single Institution's Experience of 247 Cases over 19 Years

  • Background: The two most common skin cancers are basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The purpose of this study was to describe the detailed clinical behavior of BCC and SCC in the head and neck region over 19 years at a single institution. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for all patients with non-melanoma skin cancer who had undergone surgical resection over an 18-year period. Patient charts were reviewed for demographic information, tumor size, onset-to-diagnosis, anatomic location, clinical subtype, histologic differentiation, method of surgical treatment, and recurrence. Results: The review identified 265 cases of either BCC or SCC in 226 patients. Of the 226 patients, 80 (35.4%) were men and 146 (64.6%) were women. BCC (n=138, 55.9%) was more frequent than SCC (109, 44.1%). The most frequent age group was 70-to-79 year olds (45 patients, 35.2%) for BCC and 80-to-89 year olds (41 patients, 41.8%) for SCC. By aesthetic units of the face, the most common location was the nasal unit (44 cases, 31.9%) for BCC and the buccal unit (23 cases, 21.1%) for SCC. The most common clinical subtype of BCC was the nodular type (80 cases, 58.0%). Local flaps were most commonly used to cover surgical defects (136 cases, 55.1%). Recurrent rates were 2.2% for BCC and 5.5% for SCC. Conclusion: In our study, many characteristics of BCC and SCC were compared to previously published reports were generally similar, except the ratio of BCC to SCC. Further study can help to establish the characteristics of BCC and SCC.

Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma in a single tumor in the anterior auricular area

  • The concurrence of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in a single tumor is rarely encountered. We report a case of BCC and SCC in a single tumor in the anterior auricular area. A 70-year-old woman had been diagnosed with BCC by a punch biopsy performed at a dermatology clinic. We performed wide excision of the tumor with an ulcer in the anterior auricular area. Analysis of the biopsy specimen revealed the presence of both BCC and SCC in the tumor. This case illustrates that it is necessary to establish a precise diagnosis and formulate appropriate surgical and treatment plans considering the possibility that two carcinomas may coexist, although the possibility is low in patients with skin cancer.

택배서브터미널 대리점 운영효율성에 관한 연구 (A사를 중심으로) (A Study on the Operating Efficiency of Parcel Delivery Sub-terminal Agency focus on A company)

  • 본 연구는 DEA의 CCR/BCC 모형과 Malmquist 생산성 지수를 이용하여 택배 서브터미널 위수탁 대리점의 운영효율성을 분석했다. 투입변수로는 종업원수, 장비수, 영업비용을 선정하였으며 산출변수는 매출액을 선정하여 2014년부터 2016년 기간의 효율성을 분석하였다. 연구결과 CCR 모형과 BCC모형 모두 2014년 대비 2016년 효율성이 좋아졌으며 벤치마킹 분석결과 2016년 기준 DMU1과 DMU7이 가장 효율성이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 BCC 모형 기준 비효율성 분석결과 2014년 기준 2016년 모든 요소별 효율성이 증가한 것으로 나타났다. Malmquist 분석결과 MPI지수는 기술변화에 영향을 받아 소폭 하락하였으며 모든 DMU에서 기술퇴보가 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 택배에 대한 인식을 제고하고 그동안 논문에서 다루지 않았던 서브터미널 위수탁 대리점의 실제 운영효율성을 분석하였으며 그 결과 위수탁 대리점에 대한 정부의 제도개선 및 지원정책이 필요함을 시사점으로 제시하였다. 본 연구는 파주, 김포의 신도시 택배대리점을 기준으로 분석을 수행하였다. 따라서 향후 분석범위를 타도시 및 구도심으로 넓혀 신도시와의 비교를 통한 효율성분석을 수행해야 한다.

A Correlative Approach for Identifying Complex Phases by Electron Backscatter Diffraction and Transmission Electron Microscopy

  • A new method was introduced to distinguish the ferrite, bainite and martensite in transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steel by using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). EBSD is a very powerful microstructure analysis technique at the length scales ranging from tens of nanometers to millimeters. However, iron BCC phases such as ferrite, bainite and martensite cannot be easily distinguished by EBSD due to their similar surface morphology and crystallographic structure. Among the various EBSD-based methodology, image quality (IQ) values, which present the perfection of a crystal lattice, was used to distinguish the iron BCC phases. IQ values are very useful tools to discern the iron BCC phases because of their different density of crystal defect and lattice distortion. However, there are still remaining problems that make the separation of bainite and martensite difficult. For instance, these phases have very similar IQ values in many cases, especially in deformed region; therefore, even though the IQ value was used, it has been difficult to distinguish the bainite and martensite. For more precise separation of bainite and martensite, IQ threshold values were determined by a correlative TEM analysis. By determining the threshold values, iron BCC phases were successfully separated.

  • This study tries to connect the 'four-elements metaphor' of Bachelard with architectural Images of Coop Himmelblau. Two basic terms of 'phenomenology of imagination' and 'material image' are explored firstly to understand the meaning and value of Bachelardienne four-elements in architectural discourse. The material images of air, fire, water, and clay are applied to the analysis of architectural experience of Busan Cinema Center(BCC) which is selected among works of Himmelblau by reason of its integrity of the four-elements' images. After elaborate Bachelardienne description of the images of BCC, the study examines whole Himmelblau's works since 1968 chronologically from the perspective of the four-elements' architectural images which are found in the analysis of BCC. The study of BCC could discover the images of air in two roofs, the images of fire in Double cone, the images of water in outdoor cinema, Dureraum square, flying brides, and the images of clay in Cinemountain and BIFF Hill. The chronological study found that Himmelblau had started their projects with the images of air in 1968 and tried the fire from 1978, and their regular examination of water and clay images had begun in mid 90's. After 2000, they could show a certain harmony of the four elements in their works.

유해산출물을 고려한 국내 컨테이너 터미널 효율성 분석 (Data Envelopment Analysis for Container Terminals Considering an Undesirable Output - Focus on Busan Port & Kwangyang Port)

  • Recently according to increase of enlarged scale ports in conformity with increase in over size vessels and container handling service, pollutants generated from ports are increasing. In advanced countries, reduction in carbon dioxide emission assigned to them has been implemented according to the Climate Change Convention and Kyoto Protocol from 2008 to 2012 in order to lessen carbon dioxide emission. Henceforth increase in discussion on the measure of constructing Green Port and low-carbon port is expected in our nation's field of port as well, it is considered that the effort in reduction with regard to undesirable output which causes environmental problem of analysis target during measuring effectiveness. Therefore, in this study, effectiveness was estimated through directional technology distance function considering undesirable output differently from effectiveness analysis of existing container terminal, and then performed comparative analysis with the result analyzed with BCC output-oriented model. As the result of analysis, in 2007 DMU3 and DMU5, and in 2010 DMU2 and DMU4 appeared to be efficient terminals in BCC output oriented model, and in directional technology distance function model, DMU1, DMU3 in 2007, DMU3, DMU5 in 2008, DMU7 in 2009, and DMU2, DMU5 in 2010 appeared to be efficient terminals.

우리나라 컨테이너터미널 효율성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficiency Analysis of Container Terminal)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 컨테이너 전용 터미널(부산항 8개 터미널, 광양항 6개 터미널)을 대상으로 DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) 분석을 통해 효율성을 분석하였다. 일정 시점을 대상으로 한 분석이 아니라 1998년$^{\sim}$2005년 동안의 효율성 분석을 실시하였으며, 이를 통해 각 터미널의 효율성 변화를 살펴보았다. 본 논문의 분석 결과는 우리나라 터미널의 상대적인 효율성 값을 제시해 줄 뿐만 아니라 신규 터미널 생성, 운영사의 변화, 터미널의 통합 운영 등에 따른 터미널 생산성의 변화 등을 제시하여 줌으로써 터미널 운영사의 향후 운영전략에 시사점을 제공하고 있다.

자료포락분석을 이용한 서울시 간선버스노선 효율성 평가 (A DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) Approach for Evaluating the Efficiency of Exclusive Bus Routes)

  • 서울시의 버스체계개편 시행 후 약 4년이 지난 현재 대중교통 이용승객의 증가에도 불구하고 서울시의 재정부담은 크게 개선되지 못하였다. 이에 서울시는 버스의 경쟁력을 강화하고 효율성을 제고하기 위한 정책들을 수립할 계획이며, 이러한 정책의 효과를 객관적으로 평가하기 위해서는 버스수단 경쟁력의 기반이 되는 노선의 효율성 추정과 이에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 분석이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 2008년 서울시 간선버스 노선의 자료와 DEA 모형의 하나인 BCC 모형을 이용하여 각 노선의 효율성을 추정하였다. 효율성 추정시 각 노선은 차량대수, 노선거리, 정류장개수, 배차간격, 운영비를 투입하여 승객수와 수익금을 산출하는 것으로 가정하였다. 투입지향 BCC 모형으로 분석한 결과, 평가노선 18개 중 규모수익불변(CRS)인 노선은 총 2개이며, 나머지 16개 노선은 규모수익체증(IRS)인 노선으로 분석되었다. 또한 분석에 사용된 요소들이 효율성 점수에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 토빗회귀분석을 수행한 결과, 현재 간선버스에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수는 배차간격인 것으로 분석되었다.
