In this paper, a microstrip patch antenna was analyzed by using FDTD method. Firstly, the electric field in the microstrip patch antenna was obtained by approximating a Maxwell's equation to a finite difference equation by means of Yee's algorithm. In this case, Mur's 1st approximation and dispersive boundary condition(BBC) were applied to an absorbing boundary condition. We also analyzed a single microstrip patch antenna by using the FDTD method, then calculating the propagative process in the wave of a return loss. Also, as the result that FDTD was applied to 2-array antenna designed to increase the gain of antenna, the measured results was in relatively good accordance with the values calculated by the FDTD method. The calculated impedance, return loss and VSWR were comparatively good. And these results were In relatively good accordance with the measured values.
In this study, we evaluate the efficiency of Construction Industry using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). Since the Construction Industry has been traditionally operated through competition, it is important to measure the efficiency. In this paper, we empirically analyze the Efficiency of the 50 Korean Construction Industry. In detail, we used the scale of efficiency in order that efficiency cannot be affected by the total technical efficiency of each company and the scale of DMU by applying CCR or BBC model. Also, we analyzed the changes of measurement DEA model score. we adopted the basic DEA, RTS Region and MPSS(Most Productive Scale Size) method which are combined with efficiency measurement model in order to analyze the operational status. Furthermore, by complementing the shortfalls of the scale efficiency value of the DEA Model, RTS Region Model can be recommended to be appropriate in the evaluation of ideal input/output Quantity. In particular, input variables are total assets, construction capacity, the technical staff and output variables are sales volume, operating income. The result of RTS Region and MPSS shows that 9 DMUs of the efficiency frontier in the Construction Industry are analyzed to be relatively efficient DMUs, and 41 DMUs are analyzed to be inefficient DMUs, and finally inefficient DMUs are separated with Region 1 and Region 6.
Using the DDRT-PCR, a series of differentially expressed genes in human primary cervical cancer was isolated. Among the 250 PCR amplimers, 88 gene fragments were confirmed by reverse Northern hybridization. Homology searches indicated that 26 out of 88 were previously known genes including calmodulin, human BBC1, histone H3.3, a series of ribosomal proteins (RPL19, RPS19, and RPS12), translation initiation factor (eIF-4AI), lactoferrin, integrin ${\alpha}6$, cell-surface antigens (CD9 and CD59), transcription factor (mbp-1), and mitochondrial proteins. Several unknown clones showed sequence homology with known genes. Furthermore, six of the unknown genes showed identical sequence with expressed sequence tags (EST) of unknown function. Differential expression patterns of identified genes were further examined and confirmed with multiple pairs of cervical cancer samples using Northern hybridization. Our profiling of differentially expressed genes may provide useful information about the underlying genetic alterations in human cervical carcinoma and diagnostic markers for this disease. The precise roles of these genes in cancer development remain to be elucidated.
The serine/threonine kinase mTOR is essential for the phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3K) signaling pathway, and regulates the development and function of immune cells. Aberrant activation of mTOR signaling pathway is associated with many cancers including leukemia. Here, we report the contributions of mTOR signaling to growth of human leukemic cell lines and mouse T-cell acute leukemia (T-ALL) cells. Torin, an ATP-competitive mTOR inhibitor, was found to have both cytotoxic and cytostatic effects on U-937, THP-1, and RPMI-8226 cells, but not on Jurkat or K-562 cells. All cells were relatively resistant to rapamycin even with suppressed activity of mTOR complex 1. Growth of T-ALL cells induced by Notch1 was profoundly affected by torin partially due to increased expression of Bcl2l11 and Bbc3. Of note, activation of Akt or knockdown of FoxO1 mitigated the effect of mTOR inhibition on T-ALL cells. Our data provide insight on the effect of mTOR inhibitors on the survival and proliferation of leukemic cells, thus further improving our understanding on cell-context-dependent impacts of mTOR signaling. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the international competition power between Korean ports and Chinese ports according to the port efficiency scores of DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) by newly introducing the priority vector of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) to the DEA method. Empirical analysis shows the followings: First, there was not big changes of DEA rankings when we use the input-oriented CCR and BCC models after introducing the AHP priority vectors to the input variables. Yantian Port's competition power was declined, but that of Busan Port was up in the BCC model. Second, there was some changes of DEA rankings when we use the output-oriented CCR and BCC models after introducing the AHP priority vectors to the output variables. Rankings of Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai Ports were up. But Shekou, Yantian Ports showed the declined ranking position in the CCR model. In the BBC model, rankings of Shanghai and Busan Ports were up. But those of Shekou and Yantian Ports were declined. The main policy implication based on the findings of this study is that The Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries in Korea and China should introduce AHP and DEA approaches when they measure the international competition power by using the porrt efficiency scores of DEA.
This research examines the effect of adding aluminum on the structural, phasic, and magnetic properties of CoCrFe NiMnAlx high-entropy alloys. To this aim, the arc-melt process was used under an argon atmosphere for preparing cast samples. The phasic, structural, and magnetic properties of the samples were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrational magnetometry (VSM) analyses. Based on the results, the addition of aluminum to the compound caused changes in the crystalline structure, from FCC solid solution in the CoCrFeNiMn sample to CoCrFeNiMnAl BBC solid solution. It was associated with changes in the magnetic property of CoCrFeNiMnAlx high-entropy alloys, from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic. The maximum saturation magnetization for the CoCrFeNiMnAl casting sample was estimated to be around 79 emu/g. Despite the phase stability of the FCC solid solution with temperature, the solid solution phase formed in the CrCrFeNiMnAl high-entropy compound was not stable, and changed into FCC solid solution with temperature elevation, causing a reduction in saturation magnetization to about 7 emu/g.
Since Chappelear developed a Fourier approximation method, considerable research efforts have been made. On the other hand, Fourier approximations are unsuitable for deep water waves. The purpose of this study is to provide a Fourier approximation suitable even for deep water waves and a numerical method to determine the Fourier coefficients and the wave properties. In addition, the convergence of the solution was tested in terms of its order. This paper presents a velocity potential satisfying the Laplace equation and the bottom boundary condition (BBC) with a truncated Fourier series. Two wave profiles were derived by applying the potential to the kinematic free surface boundary condition (KFSBC) and the dynamic free surface boundary condition (DFSBC). A set of nonlinear equations was represented to determine the Fourier coefficients, which were derived so that the two profiles are identical at specified phases. The set of equations was solved using Newton's method. This study proved that there is a limit to the series order, i.e., the maximum series order is N=12, and that there is a height limitation of this method which is slightly lower than the Michell theory. The reason why the other Fourier approximations are not suitable for deep water waves is discussed.

In this paper, computer simulations of the physical Phenomena occurring in the arc region before and after current zero were carried out to evaluate the dielectric recovery characteristics of two types of double-flow nozzles. A commercial CFD Program "PHOENICS" is used for the simulation and the user-coded subroutines to consider the arcing phenomena were added to this program by the authors. The computed results were verified by the comparison with the test results presented by the research group of BBC. In order to investigate the state of the arc region after current zero, the simulation was carried out with four steps. They are cold gas flow analysis, steady state arc simulation, transient arc simulation before current zero, transient hot gas flow simulation after current zero. The semi-experimental arc radiation model is adapted to consider the radiation energy transport and Prandtl′s mixing length model is employed as the turbulence model. The electric field and the magnetic field were calculated with the same grid structure used for the simulation of the flow field. The streamer criterion was introduced to evaluate the dielectric recovery characteristics after current zero. Compared with the results obtained by assuming the current zero state in the former studies, it has been found that the results obtained by considering the state before current zerowere more accurate.
Purpose: This study was to evaluate the expression pattern of CD 18(leukocyte adhesion glycoprotein) in ischemia-reperfusion injury of TRAM flap of rats. Through this study, we can obtain more information about ischemia-reperfusion injury. We want to develop specific medicine to improve the survival rate of TRAM flap in the future. Methods: A TRAM flap supplied by a single pedicle superior epigastric artery and vein was elevated on 60 Sprauge-Dawley rats. The rats were divide into 6 groups (each group n=10); Group O: sham, no ischemia-reperfusion injury, Group I: 2 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, Group II: 4 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, Group III: 8 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, Group IV: 12 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, and Group V: 24 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia. This study consisted of gross examination for flap survival and flow cytometry study of CD18 on neutrophils. Results: The gross measurement of the flap showed different survival rate in group I(71%), II(68%), III(37%), IV(34%) and V(34%). All experimental groups showed an increase in the expression of CD18 compared to group O. The expression of CD18 was rapidly increased in ascending order in group I, II and III. But, the expression of CD18 was maintained in group IV and V. Conclusion: The results can be implemented in the study to develop drugs which are capable of reducing ischemia-reperfusion injury in microsurgical breast reconstruction.
