Fuel Management Study on DUPIC Core

  • A parametric study bas been performed for the various refueling schemes of CANDU 6 reactor loaded with reference DUPIC fuel. The optimum discharge burnup was determined such that the peak bundle power is minimized for the equilibrium core. Based on the results of instantaneous core calculation using patterned random age distributions, it was decided to perform the refueling simulations only for 2-bundle and 4-bundle shift refueling schemes. The 600 FPD simulation has shown that the operational margins of the channel and bundle power to the license limits are 7.9% and 17.1%, respectively, for 2-bundle shift refueling scheme. The 4-bundle shift refueling scheme also satisfies the license limits and the operational margins of the channel and bundle power are 7.1% and 9.8%, respectively. The result of refueling simulation indicate the possibility of using reference DUPIC fuel in current CANDU 6 reactor.

  • CFRD (Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam) face slab concrete has a much capability to occur crack due to drying shrinkage, hydration heat and bas compaction etc. Because of crack of concrete induce structural problem and decrease durability of concrete, it is need to reduce crack of concrete. This is an experimental study to analyze the Control Property of Plastic Shrinkage Crack for CFRD face slab concrete. For this purpose, it was investigated and analyzed the engineering properties of plain concrete and using admixtures (polypropylene fiber, fly-ash) according to test result As the result, it was found that crack width and area of concrete using admixtures less than of plain concrete.

This is an experimental study to analyze the effect of fiber reinforced on CFRD face slab concrete. for this purpose, it was investigated and analyzed the engineering properties of plain concrete and polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete (PFRC) according to test result ; the test include slump, air content, compressive strength, tensile strength, drying shrinkage and permeability etc. As the results, it was found permeability and drying shrinkage of PFRC less than that of plain concrete.

  • This paper deals with the manipulator with actuator described by equation D over bar(q) $q^{...}$ = u-p over bar (q, $q^{.}$, $q^{..}$) with a control input u. We imploy a simple method of control design which bas two stages. First, a global linearization is performed to yield a decoupled controllable linear system. Then a controller is designed for this linear system. We provide a rigorous analysis Of the effect of uncertain dynamics, which we study using robustness results In time domain based on a Lyapunav equation and the total stability theorem. I)sing this approach we simulate the performance of controller about a robotic manipulator with actuator.tor.r.

  • Initialization problem is defined for indoor mobile robot as a whole process from arrival to normal operation in a new environment. The unstructured environment make the process much more difficult compared to industrial robot in structured environments. We propose a simple and efficient initialization process based on artificial stars on ceiling. Important task points and paths connecting task points are defined based on the corresponding artificial stars. This approach can be used for all kinds of indoor mobile robots with landmarks used for indoor localization.

  • This study proposes an equivalent bell model for the Sacred Bell of the Great King Seongdeok An equivalent bell model bas the modal property of the real bell and it consists of an axi-symmetric bell body and a point mass, The bell model is constructed by the finite element analysis based upon the theory of a revolutionary shell. Using the equivalent bell model. the beat period can be controlled by decreasing the thickness of local area. This study aims at showing a beat period control method for a large bell having the similar size to the Sacred Bell of the Great King Seongdeok.

  • To complite the high speed cutting system, It should be solved some problems, to make light the weight of mechanism for feedrate, develop the Linear motor that bas more power, high speed control system, and high speed cutting tools, nowadays, although many high speed cutting machine is to be built by some machine maker ,they have same problems, in this study, developed the system ball screw type before the feedrate mechanism for linear motor ,so we make the basic system for Line Cents . through that, it is limited to reduce the weight of frame and their frame is to be designed differently each other to reach the purpose special material or strucutre should be contrived.

  • In this paper we propose a new deinterlacing method with block classification and motion vector smoothing. The proposed method classifies a block, then depending on the region it belongs to, the motion estimation or line averaging is applied. To classify a block its variance is calculated. Then, for those blocks that belong to simple non-texture region the line averaging is done while motion estimation is applied to complex region. The motion vector field is smoothed using median filter what yields more accurate interpolation. In the experiments for the subjective evaluation, the proposed method bas shown satisfying results in terms of computation time consumption and peak signal-to-noise ratio. Due to the simplicity of the algorithm computation time was drastically decreased.

  • A design principles of discontinuous control are studied and then are applied to position control of D. C. sevo drive fed by a four-quadrant chopper. Variable structure control with sliding mode gives fast dynamic response with no overshoot. And the resulting system bas good robust properties independent of the wide variations of electrical, mechanical parameters and external disturbances without any system identification. But the high frequency chatter component of control input in the sliding mode is undesirarable. A continuous control law that is a approximation to discontinuous control law is used for design.

  • SMPS는 신속한 스위칭에 의하여 높은 $d{\upsilon}$/dt 및 di/dt 특성을 가지며, 이러한 스위칭 특성으로 SMPS에서 발생하는 EMI 노이즈는 기기 내부 및 외부에 간섭을 일으킨다. 일반적으로 전자파 이미션은 전도성 이미션 및 방사성 이 미션으로 분류되며. 전도성 이미션은 공통모드와 차동모드로 구분한다. 최근 노이즈전류를 평형시킴으로써 공통모드 노이즈를 감소시키는 방법이 연구되었다. 이 방법은 공통모드 노이즈가 시스템 불평형의 결과라는 측면을 고려한 것이며. 노이즈 전류의 평형상태에서 컨버터를 동작시키면 공통모드 노이즈가 크게 줄어들 수 있음을 보여준다. 본 논문에서는 절연형 SMPS에서 노이즈 전류의 평형기법을 이용하여 SMPS의 1차 및 2차 측의 노드 확장에 따른 노이즈 감소를 분석한다.
