The Relative Effects of Business-to-Business (vs. Business-to-Consumer) Business Model Innovation on Innovation Performance (B2B (vs. B2C) 비즈니스모델혁신이 혁신성과에 미치는 상대적 효과)

  • This study aims to empirically investigate the relative effects of business-to-business (vs. business-to-consumer) business model innovation (BMI) on innovation performance. The research examines the impact of three key components of BMI: 1. value creation, 2. value proposition, and 3. value capture, on innovation performance. The 2022 Entrepreneurship Survey data by the Korean Entrepreneurship Foundation was used to analyze 2,879 companies. An exploratory data analysis (EDA) including various categories such as industry, firm, CEO, and technology chracteristics was conducted to show the latest startup status in Korea. The results show that value creation of B2B (vs. B2C) firms has a more positive and significant impact on innovation performance. Whereas, value proposition of B2C (vs. B2B) firms was found to have a more positive and significant effect on innovation performance. Interestingly, value capture did not show any effects for either type of firms. Additionally, the study employed seemingly unrelated regression (SUR) analysis for robustness checks. These findings provide important insights about the relative effects of B2B-BMI (vs. B2C-BMI).

  • China continues to experience an expansion of its e-Commerce industry. This is true both for B2C and for B2B sectors. B2C websites are created by various players. B2C E-commerce is divided into three categories in China: online direct sale, online retail, and online booking services. Online retail remains the major form of B2C business, and online booking services and online direct sale also maintained rapid growth. The rapid growth of B2C E-commerce in China was due to three factors. Firstly, the number of Internet users is increasing, which expands E-commerce user base. Secondly, users' acceptance and recognition of E-commerce are gradually increasing. Lastly, improvement on payment, logistics and credit also provides a better and better industrial environment for B2C e-commerce. The B2C sector has seen a low transaction volume in spite of its large number of websites. The B2B sectors has seen a higher transaction volume and more stable growth than the B2C sector. There is a wide range of the total market size estimated by different sources. China's C2C market witnessed rapid growth in 2005, the market growth may slow down in 2006 and 2007, due to heavy market competition, challenges to the business model and slow corporate user growth. But there is the bottlenecks in E-commerce in China. The purpose of this paper is contribute to development E-commerce in China by finding the solutions of the bottlenecks in E-commerce in China.

Preparation of B4C-Al2O3 Composite Powder by Self-propagation High-temperature Synthesis(SHS) Process under High Pressure (고압 자전 고온반응 합성법에 의한 B4C-Al2O3복합분말 제조)

  • Composite powder of$B_4C-A1_2O_3$was prepared from a mixed powder of$B_2O_3/A1/C$by SHS under argon pressure instead of using a chemical furnace. A mixture of$B_2O_3,$Al and C powder (equivalent amounts to the reaction,$2B_2O_3+4A1+C=B_4C+2A1_2O_3)$was ball milled for 2 h. The mixed powder was placed in a SHS reactor and filled with 10 atm of argon gas and ignited. The inner and outer products were the same by XRD analysis. It was consisted of a composite powder of$B_4C-A1_2O_3$without $AlB_{12}/C_2$which was always produced using a chemical furnace. The composite powder was about$60~100{mu}m$size which was composed of crystalline particles of about 0.3~l${mu}m$size. But when 15 atm of argon was employed, partial sintering took place to give rise hard composite powder of$15~25{mu}m$$B_4C$with $0.1~0.2{mu}m$$A1_2O_3.$

  • In this investigation, $B_4C$ based ceramic composites were fabricated by in-situ reaction hot pressing using $B_4C$, TiC SiC powder as starting materials. The reaction synthesized composites by hot pressing at $1950^{\circ}C$ was found to posses very high relative density. The reaction synthesized $B_4C$ composites comprise $B_4C$, $TiB_2$, SiC and graphite by the reaction between TiC and $B_4C$. The newly formed $TiB_2$ and graphite was embedded both inside grain and at grain boundary $B_4C$. The mechanical properties of reaction synthesized $B_4C-TiB_2-SiC$-graphite composites were more enhanced compared to those of monolithic $B_4C$.

Properties of $SiC-ZrB_2$ Electroconductive Ceramic Composites by Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS 소결에 의한 $SiC-ZrB_2$ 도전성 세라믹 복합체 특성)

  • The composites were fabricated by adding 0, 15, 20, 25[vol.%] Zirconium Diboride(hereafter, $ZrB_2$) powders as a second phase to Silicon Carbide(hereafter, SiC) matrix. The physical, mechanical and electrical properties of electroconductive SiC ceramic composites by Spark Plasma Sintering(hereafter, SPS) were examined. Reactions between ${\beta}-SiC$ and $ZrB_2$ were not observed in the XRD analysis. The relative density of mono SiC, SiC+15[vol.%]$ZrB_2$, SiC+20[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ and SiC+25[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ composites are 90.93[%], 74.62[%], 74.99[%] and 72.61[%], respectively. The XRD phase analysis of the electroconductive SiC ceramic composites reveals high of SiC and $ZrB_2$ and low of $ZrO_2$ phase. The lowest flexural strength, 108.79[MPa], shown in SiC+15[vol.%] $ZrB_2$ composite and the highest - 220.15[MPa] - in SiC+20[vol.%] $ZrB_2$composite at room temperature. The trend of the mechanical properties of the electroconductive SiC ceramic composites moves in accord with that of the relative density. The electrical resistivities of mono SiC, SiC+15[vol.%]$ZrB_2$, SiC+20[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ and SiC+25[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ composites are 4.57${\times}10^{-1}$, 2.13${\times}10^{-1}$, 1.53${\times}10^{-1}$ and 6.37${\times}10^{-2}$[${\Omega}$ cm] at room temperature, respectively. The electrical resistivity of mono SiC, SiC+15[vol.%]$ZrB_2$. SiC+20[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ and SiC+25[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ are Negative Temperature Coefficient Resistance(hereafter, NTCR) in temperature ranges from 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 100[$^{\circ}C$]. The declination of V-I characteristics of SiC+20[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ composite is 3.72${\times}10^{-1}$. It is convinced that SiC+20[vol.%]$ZrB_2$ composite by SPS can be applied for heater or electrode above 1000[$^{\circ}C$]

Sintering Behavior of $TiB_2$-SiC Composites ($TiB_2$-SiC 복합재료의 소결거동)

  • The effect of SiC addition on sintering behaviors and microstructures of TiB2 ceramics were studied. The sintering of TiB2 was limited due to the surface diffusion and rapid grain growth at high temperature. However the addition of SiC to TiB2 ceramics improved the densification to above 99% of the theoretical density. The sintering of TiB2-SiC composite starts at 120$0^{\circ}C$ with the melting of the oxides in particle surface as impurities. After the reduction of the oxide by additional cabon at above 140$0^{\circ}C$, the grain boundary diffusion through the interface of TiB2-SiC play an important role. TEM observation showed neither chemical reactions nor other phases formed at the TiB2-SiC interfaces but the microcracks were observed due to the mismatch of thermal expansion between TiB2-SiC.

  • The sintering behaviour of monolithic zirconium diboride (ZrB$_{2 }$) and ZrB$_{2 }$-based composite ZrB$_{2 }$-ZrC were studied using a pressureless sintering technique. The specimens were prepared using commercially available ZrB$_{2 }$ and ZrC powder which were pressed and subjected to pressureless sintering. The effects of lanthanum and neodymium used as sintering aids in the sintering processes were investigated. The sintered specimens were characterized using X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The ZrB$_{2 }$ specimen prepared using and addition of 1 wt% lanthanum and pressurelessly sintered at $2200^{\circ}C$ showed the maximum relative density of 96%. The ZrB$_{2 }$-ZrC composite specimen without the addition of any sintering aids exhibits the maximum sintered density but contains significantly detectable amount of secondary phase.

Effects of $TiB_{2},ZrB_{2}$ and Sintering Temperature on SiC Composites Manufactured by Pressureless Sintering (상압소결법에 의해 제조한 SiC 복합체의 특성에 미치는 $TiB_{2},ZrB_{2}$와 소결온도의 영향)

  • The $\beta$-SiC+ZrB$_2$ and $\beta$-SiC+TiB$_2$ceramic electroconductive composites were pressureless-sintered and annealed by adding l2wt% A1$_2$ $O_3$+Y$_2$ $O_3$(6 : 4wt%) powder as a function of sintering temperature. The relative density showed highest value of 84.92% of the theoretical density for SiC-TiB$_2$ at 190$0^{\circ}C$ sintering temperature. The phase analysis of the composites by XRD revealed of $\alpha$-SiC(6H), TiB$_2$, $Al_{5}$Y$_2$ $O_{12}$ and $\beta$-SiC(15R). Flexural strength showed the highest of 230 MPa for SiC-ZrB$_2$ composites sintered at 190$0^{\circ}C$. The vicker's hardness increased with increasing sintering temperature and showed the highest for SiC-ZrB$_2$ composites sintered at 190$0^{\circ}C$. Owing to YAG, the fracture toughness showed the highest of 6.50 MPa . m$^{1}$2/ for SiC-ZrB$_2$ composites at 190$0^{\circ}C$. The electrical resistivity was measured by the Rauw method from $25^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$. The electrical resistivity of the composites showed the PTCR(Positive Temperature Coefficient Resistivity).).

  • $ZrB_2$ has a melting point of $3245^{\circ}C$ and a relatively low density of $6.1\;g/cm^3$, which makes this a candidate for application to ultrahigh temperature environments over $2000^{\circ}C$. Beside these properties, $ZrB_2$ is known to have excellent resistance to thermal shock and oxidation compared with other non-oxide engineering ceramics. In order to enhance such oxidation resistance, SiC was frequently added to $ZrB_2$-based systems. Due to nonsinterability of $ZrB_2$-based ceramics, research on the sintering aids such as $B_4C$ or $MoSi_2$ becomes popular recently. In this study, densification and high-temperature properties of $ZrB_2$-SiC ceramics especially with $B_4C$ are investigated. $ZrB_2$-20 vol% SiC system was selected as a basic composition and $B_4C$ or C was added to this system in some extents. Mixed powders were sintered using hot pressing (HP). With sintered bodies, densification behavior and high-temperature (up to $1400^{\circ}C$) properties such as flexural strength, hardness, and so on were examined.

The Moderating Effect of B2C EC Strategy on the Relationship between B2C EC Website Functionalities and Application Performance: Marketing Perspective (마케팅관점에서 B2C EC 웹 사이트 기능특성과 활용성과 간의 관련성에 대한 전략유형의 조절효과)

  • Since B2C EC websites not only become a valuable channel for selling goods to customers and for communicating with the potential clients, but also offer companies an important vehicle for attaining competitive advantages in the new digital economy, the design and content of website must reflect its business goals and customers' needs. However, as little empirical evidence on the effect of B2C EC website contribution of firm performance exist, the functionality of B2C EC website has been decided voluntarily from its business experience. Hence, there has been a call for a rigorous empirical studies to examine the function level of an B2C EC website application. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the function level of B2C EC website and its performance considering the characteristics of B2C EC strategy as moderating variable. 125 questionnaires from internet shopping malls which sell physical goods direct to an individual end consumer were collected. The results showed that four factors(price, product recognition, reliability enhancement, and purchase confidence) affect positive effects on the performance of shopping mall, and the characteristics of B2C EC strategy can be considered as a significant moderating variable between price factor and the performance of shopping mall.
