HEVC기반의 비디오를 위한 워터마킹 알고리즘 (H.265/HEVC Video Watermarking Method with High Image Quality)

  • 비디오 워터마킹 분야는 기존의 정지영상에 대한 워터마킹에 시간축이 추가된 형태로써 전체적인 비디오의 화질을 최소한으로 저하시키면서 저작권을 주장할 수 있는 수준의 워터마크를 삽입하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 HEVC의 Random Access 압축 방식에서 B 슬라이스가 I와 P 슬라이스의 블록을 참조한다는 점에 착안하여 I와 P 슬라이스에만 워터마크를 삽입하고 I, P, 및 B 슬라이스 모두에서 워터마크가 추출되는 방법을 제안한다. 이는 영상의 전체적인 화질 저하를 최소화하며, 직접적으로 워터마크를 삽입하지 않은 B슬라이스의 저작권도 보호할 수 있는 방법이다.

Improvement of Shelf-life and Quality in Fresh-cut Tomato Slices

  • Quality of fresh-cut tomato slices was compared during cold storage under various modified atmosphere packaging conditions. Chilling injury of slices in containers sealed with Film A was higher than with Film B; these films had oxygen transmission rates of 87.4 and 60.0 ml h-1 m-2 nun-1 at $5^{\circ}C$ and $99\%$ RH, respectively. While slices in containers with an initial atmospheric composition of air, $4\%$ CO2 + 1 or $20\%\;O_2, \;8\%\;CO_2+1$ or $20\%\;O_2$, or $12\%\; CO_2+\;20\%\;O_2$ showed fungal growth, slices in containers with $12\%\;CO_2 +\;1\%\;O_2$ did not. Low ethylene in containers enhanced chilling injury. Modified atmosphere packaging provided good quality tomato slices with a shelf-life of 2 weeks or more at $5^{\circ}C$. Experiments were conducted to compare changes in quality of slices of red tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. 'Sunbeam') fruit from plants grown using black polyethylene or hairy vetch mulches under various foliar disease management systems including: no fungicide applications (NF), a disease forecasting model (Tom-Cast), and weekly fungicide applications (WF), during storage at $5^{\circ}C$ under a modified atmosphere. Slices were analyzed for firmness, soluble solids content (SCC), titratable acidity (TA), pH, electrolyte leakage, fungi, yeasts, and chilling injury. With both NF and Tom-Cast fungicide treatments, slices from tomato fruit grown with hairy vetch (Vicia villosa Roth) mulch were firmer than those from tomato fruit grown with black polyethylene mulch after 12 days storage. Ethylene Production of slices from fruit grown using hairy vetch mulch under Tom-Cast was about 1.5- and 5-fold higher than that of slices from WF and NF fungicide treatments after 12 days, respectively. When stored at $20^{\circ}C$, slices from light-red tomato fruit grown with black polyethylene or hairy vetch mulches both showed a rapid increase in electrolyte leakage beginning 6 hours after slicing. However, slices from tomato fruit grown using the hairy vetch mulch tended to have lower electrolyte leakage than those grown with black polyethylene mulch. These results suggest that tomato fruit from plants grown using hairy vetch mulch may be more suitable for fresh-cut slices than those grown using black polyethylene mulch. Also, use of the disease forecasting model Tom-Cast, which can result in lower fungicide application than is currently used commercially, resulted in high quality fruit for fresh-cut processing. Experiments were conducted to determine if ethylene influences chilling injury, as measured by percentage of slices exhibiting water-soaked areas in fresh-cut tomato slices of 'Mountain Pride' and 'Sunbeam' tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.). Ethylene concentration in containers without ventilation significantly increased during storage at $5^{\circ}C$, whereas little or no accumulation of ethylene occurred in containers with one or six perforations. Chilling injury was greatest for slices in containers with six perforations, compared to slices in containers with one perforation, and was over 13-fold greater than that of slices in control containers with no perforations. An experiment was also performed to investigate the effectiveness of including an ethylene absorbent pad in containers on subsequent ethylene accumulation and chilling injury. While ethylene in the no-pad controls increased continually during storage of both 'Mountain Pride' and 'Sunbeam' tomatoes at $5^{\circ}C$ under modified atmosphere conditions, no increase in accumulation of ethylene was observed in containers containing ethylene absorbent pads throughout storage. The ethylene absorbent pad treatment resulted in a significantly higher percentage of chilling injury compared with the no-pad control. In studies aimed at inhibiting ethylene production using AVG during storage of slices, the concentration of ethylene in control containers (no AVG) remained at elevated levels throughout storage, compared to containers with slices treated with AVG. Chilling injury in slices treated with AVG was 5-fold greater than that of controls. Further, we tested the effect of ethylene pretreatment of slices on subsequent slice shelf-life and quality. In slices treated with ethylene (0, 0.1, 1, or $10\;{mu}L\;L^{-1}$) immediately after slicing, ethylene production in non-treated controls was greater than that of all other ethylene pre-treatments. However, pretreatment of slices 3 days after slicing resulted in a different pattern of ethylene production during storage. Ihe rate of ethylene production by slices treated with 1 L $L^{-1}$ ethylene 3 days after slicing was greater during storage than any of the other ethylene treatments. With slices pre-treated with ethylene, both immediately and 3 days after slicing, the rate of ethylene production tended to show an negative correlation with chilling injury. 적응 최적 임계화와 B-spline 적합을 사용한 CT영상열내 치아 분할 (Segmentation of tooth using Adaptive Optimal Thresholding and B-spline Fitting in CT image slices)

  • 치과 분야에서 치아가 개별적으로 조작될 수 있는 3차원 치아 모델은 치과 치료와 시술 시뮬레이션을 위해 중요한 요소이다. CT영상으로부터 이러한 치아 모델을 재구성하기 위해서는 각 치아의 경계를 정확하게 분할할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나 기존의 3차원 재구성 시스템에서 사용되는 임계화 방법은 치아들과 치아와 비슷한 밝기의 치조골이 서로 인접해서 나타나는 CT 영상열에서 효율적이지 못하다. 본 논문에서는 CT영상에서 부드러운 치아 경계를 추출하기 위해 B-spline 곡선 적합을 이용한 치아 분할 방법을 제안한다. 성공적인 적합을 위해서 이전 슬라이스의 분할정보와 적응 최적 임계화 방법을 기반으로 한 초기경계 생성방법을 제안한다. 그리고 적합과정에서 이웃한 유사한 물체에 적합되는 것을 줄일 수 있는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 B-spline 적합방법을 제안한다. 평가결과 제안된 알고리즘은 개별치아의 경계를 성공적으로 검출하였으며 이를 이용하여 시술과 치료 과정의 시뮬레이션을 위한 치아의 3차원 모델을 정확하고 부드럽게 생성할 수 있음을 보였다.

Evaluation of a Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma System for Inactivating Pathogens on Cheese Slices

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the potential use of a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma system to improve microbial safety of sliced cheese. The atmospheric pressure plasma (APP) effect on visual appearance and a sensory evaluation were also carried out. The number of Escherichia coli inoculated on cheese slices decreased by 0.09, 0.47, 1.16 and 1.47 log cycles with helium (4 liters/min [lpm]) and 0.05, 0.87, 1.89 and 1.98 log cycles with He/$O_2$ mixture (4 lpm/15 standard cubic centimeters per minute), after being treated with plasma for 1, 5, 10, and 15 min, respectively. Significant reductions were also observed in Staphylococcus aureus inoculated onto cheese slices ranging from 0.05 to 0.45 log cycles with He and from 0.08 to 0.91 log cycles with He/$O_2$-treated samples, respectively. Adding oxygen resulted in a significant increase in inactivation of both pathogens. No visible change in the plasma-treated cheese slices was observed even though the instrumental analysis showed a significant decrease in the $L^*$-value and an increase in the $b^*$-value. The cheese slices were damaged after 10 and 15 min of plasma treatment. In addition, significant reductions in sensory quality including flavor, odor, and acceptability of plasma-treated cheese slices were observed. The results indicate that the DBD plasma system has potential for use in sanitizing food products, although the effect was limited. Further development of the APP system is necessary for industrial use.

흉부 전산화 단층촬영을 이용한 혈흉의 정량분석 (Quantitative analysis of hemothorax by computed tomography)

  • Computed tomography[CT is an effective technique for the evaluation of the thorax following blunt trauma. To evaluate multiply injured 30 patients who were diagnosed as hemothorax in emergency room, computed tomography of thorax was done. The thickness of slice was one centimeter and the entire pleural cavity from the apex to the costophrenic angle was included in the evaluation. Integration and addition of the hemothorax area for each CT slice was made and amount of blood in the pleural cavity was estimated. The slice which showed largest area of hemothorax was selected and the height and width of the hemothorax area were measured. The number of slices which showed radiographic evidence of hemothorax was counted. Regression analysis was done and measured amount of hemothorax, the height and width of the hemothorax area for each slice and number of slices were put as variables. And following equation was derived. V=108.3A-0.8B-7.4C+84.7 [R2=0.74 [ V: amount of hemothorax, A: height, B: width, C: number of slices Total amount of blood from thoracic drainage was compared to the measured amount by computed tomography and the relation between the two values was statistically significant.[p=0.001 In conclusion, quantitative estimation of size of hemothorax was possible by the above equation and the process was very helpful for determination policy of treatment of individual patient.

A 6-Gb/s Differential Voltage Mode Driver with Independent Control of Output Impedance and Pre-Emphasis Level

  • A 6-Gb/s differential voltage mode driver is presented whose output impedance and pre-emphasis level can be controlled independently. The voltage mode driver consists of five binary-weighted slices each of which has four sub-drivers. The output impedance is controlled by the number of enabled slices while the pre-emphasis level is determined by how many sub-drivers in the enabled slices are driven by post-cursor input. A prototype transmitter with a voltage-mode driver implemented in a 65-nm CMOS logic process consumes 34.8-mW from a 1.2-V power supply and its pre-emphasized output signal shows 165-mVpp,diff and 0.56-UI eye opening at the end of a cable with 10-dB loss at 3-GHz.

  • Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between reperfusion hyperemia in reversible cerebral ischem and the degree of programmed cell death. Method: We produced the animal models of reversible cerebral ischemia in 10 cats by mean of middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion with transorbital approach. MCA was occluded b microvascular clamp for an hour. MR imaging was performed at 0, 1, 2 days after ischemi and reperfusion. Perfusion (PWI) [Contrast enhanced GRE EPI, TR/TE= 1500/40, 40 Phases, 128 matrix, 12 cm FOV] and diffusion (DWI) (SE EPI, b=0, 500, 1000) weighted images were obtained using Philips Intera 1.57 system. rCBV and ADC maps were calculated wi IDL based postprocessing program. Tissue slices were obtained after the last MR imagin TUNEL, Calbin and Acid-Fuscin staining were done for corresponding slices as MR imagin We investigated the differences of degree of apoptosis in the area of reperfusion hyperemia.

Bacillus subtilis를 이용한 발효 감자 칩의 감자 품종에 따른 아크릴아마이드 저감화 비교 (Comparison of Reduced Acrylamide Formation in Chips Fermented with Different Cultivar Potatoes by Bacillus subtilis)

  • 본 연구에서는 240일간 저장한 네 가지 품종의 감자를 Bacillus subtilis로 발효한 후 제조한 감자 칩의 아크릴아마이드 함량과 색도 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. B. subtilis에 의한 단시간 발효는 모든 품종의 감자 슬라이스로부터 유리된 환원당 제거에 효과적이었으나 총당 함량 감소에는 영향을 미치지는 않았다. 또한, 새봉과 진선 감자 슬라이스 내 존재하는 아스파라긴 함량도 감소하였다. 이러한 결과는 복합적으로 감자 칩의 아크릴아마이드 생성량과 색 형성에 영향을 미쳤다. 대서를 제외한 나머지 세 품종은 모두 83% 이상의 아크릴아마이드 감소율을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구는 B. subtilis에 의한 단시간 발효를 통하여 저장감자를 가공식품으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 Bacillus sp.를 이용하여 감자슬라이스를 발효시킨 후 성분을 분석하고, 감자 칩으로 가공하여 색도와 아크릴아마이드 함량을 알아보았다. B. licheniformis, B. methylotrophicus, B. subtilis 각각을 $7.5{\times}10^7{\sim}2.7{\times}10^8CFU/mL$ 접종하여 6시간 동안 발효한 결과 균수의 증가는 보이지 않는 유도기였음에도 불구하고 총당 함량은 감소하였으며, 환원당 함량 변화에 영향을 미쳤다. 감자 칩의 색도는 대조구에 비하여 실험구의 L 값이 증가하였으며, a 값과 b 값은 감소하여 감자 칩으로 적합한 색도를 나타내었다. 발효 감자 칩의 아크릴아마이드 함량은 평균 약 94% 감소하였다.
