The Near Infrared Spectroscopic Studies of the Hydrogen Bonding Between Thioacetamide and Azines in Nonaqueous Solutions

  • The nature of hydrogen bonding between thioacetamide and azines has been thoroughly investigated using near IR absorption spectroscopy. The νN-H + amide II combination band in thioacetamide (TA) has been analyzed to determine the thermodynamic constants for the formation of hydrogen bonded 1:1 TA:azine complexes in CCl4 and CHCl3 solutions. The relative stabilities of TA-azine complexes (pyridine->1,2-diazine->1,3-diazine->1,4-diazine-TA) are in good agreement with the relative proton affinities of azines in the gas phase. The results serve as a basis for analyzing the factors which influence the hydrogen bonding formation of TA in nonaqueous solutions.

TNT-분해세균에 의한 s-Triazine계 제초제인 Atrazine과 Simazine의 미생물학적 분해 (Microbial Decomposition of s-Triazine Herbicides, Atrazine and Simazine by a TNT-degrading Bacterium)

  • 이연구는 물리화학적 환경요인에 따른 TNT 분해 세균에 의한 s-triazine 계열의 atrazine과 simazine의 분해를 조사하기 위하여 실시되었다. TNT 분해세균은 atrazine과 simazine에 대해서도 높은 분해능을 나타내었다. Atrazine(<50 mg/l)과 simazine(<15 mg/l) 은 각각 30시간과 4일의 배양기간중에 완전히 분해되었다. 배양내에서 atrazine과 simazine 의 농도가 증가함에 따라 이들의 분해는 지연되었다. 부가 탄소원은 atrazine과 simazine의 분해를 위하여 필수적이었으며 부가 탄소원이 없는 상태에서는 분해되지 않았다. Atrazine 과 simazine의 분해에서 부가 질소원의 효과에 대하여 조사하였다. Atrazine이나 simazine을 포함하는 생장배지에 부가 질소원이 첨가된 뱅야에서 배양기간동안 이들 제초제는 일부만 문해되었다. 그러나 부가 질소원이 첨가되지 않은 배양에서 atrazine과 simazine은 완전히 분해되지 않았다. 이 연구에서 효모추출물의 첨가는 atrazine과 simazine의 분해를 억제하였 다. TNT 분해세균은 작은 그람 음성의 간균이었다. BIOLOG system을 이용한 생리학적 분 석으로 이 균주는 Stenotrophomonas maltophilia로 동정되었다.

  • Aromatic 2,3-diazabuta-1,3-dienes in glacial acetic acid with isothiocyanate in the presence of catalyst $TiCl_4$ at room temperature produced via criss-cross cycloaddition reactions the corresponding perhydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,2-a][1,2,4] triazole-1,5-dithiones in relatively high yields and short reaction time.

오존 간이측정기에 대한 연구(I)-필터의 민감도 (A Study of Ozone Passive Sampler(I)-Sensitivity on Filter Substrate)

  • Six types of ozone passive samplers were fabricated with three different filter substrates and two colorants, and tested for their feasibility on atmospheric monitoring. These passive samplers are based on a colorant which fades (indigo carmine and ChromAir (K&M environmental Inc.)) or produces color (mixture of 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinone acetone azine and 2-phenylphenol colorant) upon reaction with ozone, whose concentration can be determined by reflectance measurement of the color change. Three filters, namely Whatman No.1 paper, SG81 chromatography paper and Silica Gel coated on polyester (TLC Plates), were prepared and coated with two colorants. The response of these passive samplers in ozone chamber were tested and compared with ChromAir (K&M environmental Inc.) passive sampler. The response of Silica Gel filter impregnated with indigo carmine was the best at the constant concentration exposure.

  • The author studied the hemolytic action of phenothiazine derivatives such as promazine, prochlorper azine, perphenazine and thiethylperazine on rabbit erythrocytes, and obtained the following results: 1. Promazine, prochlorperazine, perphenazine and thiethylperazine caused hemolysis in vitro in the following order: Thiethylperazine>perphenazine>prochlorperazine>promazine. 2. Cholesterol inhibited the hemolytic action of prochlorperazine, perphenazine and thiethylperazine, but had no effect on promazine hemolysis. 3. Dextrose, albumin and blood plasma protected erythrocytes against promazine, prochlorperazine, perphenazine and thiethylperazine. 4. The intravenous injection of promazine, prochlorperazine, perphenazine and thiethylperazine caused hemolysis in the same order as they did in vitro.

배양계배 근원세포의 분화에 미치는 Fe3$^+$의 영향 (Effect of Fe3$^+$ on Differentiation of Chick Embryonic Myoblasts Cultured in nitro)

  • 계배 근원세포의 분화 및 증식에 미치는 F3+의 영향을 조사하였다. 철이 없는 배양액은 근원 세포의 분화와 증식을 억제하는 것으로 나타났으며 , 따라서 근원세포의 분화에 철과 transferrin (Tf)은 필수적이다. 또한, 철 대신에 Co2+가 부착된 Tf가 첨가된 배양액에서도 근세포의 분화가 정상적으로 일어나는 것으로 나타났다. Lysosomotrophic amine(chloroquine, $\mu$M 수준;ammonium chloride, mM 수준)은 근세포의 분화와 증식을 억제시켰으며 , 근세포 분화의 철에 대한 의존성은 분화됨에 따라 둔화되었다. 세포내로의 T니 수송량은 MEM과 8102배양액에서 비슷하였고, 근세포가 분화됨에 따라 감소하였다. Lysosomotrophic azine은 최소한 3시간이 내에서는 세포내로 수송되는 Tf의 양에 영향을 미치지 못하였다.

  • The thio, thio acetyl, oxime, and several hydrazone and azine derivatives of the antitumor alkaloid acronycine (1) were prepared. NMR spectroscopy was used to study the configurations around the C=N double bond in these acronycine derivatives. In the hydrazones and azines of acronycine the N-N bond assumes a syn configuration to the $C_6-OCH_3$ group, while the NO bond in the oxime and the N-N bond in noracronycine hydrazone and azines assumes an anti configuration.

  • 피라졸로아진은 농업이나 의약품에서 매우 유용한 화합물등이다. 본 논문에서는 몇 가지 새로운 피라졸로아진의 합성을 보고하고자 한다. 표제 화합물인 3-아미노-1H-피라졸-4-카복실산 에틸을 다이아조화한 후 활성화된 메틸렌 화합물들과 반응시키고 고리화하여 피라졸로[5,1-c][1,2,4]트라이아진 유도체들을 합성하였다. 또한 표제 화합물을 $\alpha$-치환된 신남나이트릴과 반응시켜 피라졸로[1,5-a]피리미딘 유도체들을 합성하였다. 새로 합성된 화합물들의 구조는 화학적 방법과 분광학적 방법을 사용하여 확립하였다.

Quality and antioxidant activity of ginseng seed processed by fermentation strains

  • Background: Fermentation technology is widely used to alter the effective components of ginseng. This study was carried out to analyze the characteristics and antioxidant activity of ginseng seeds fermented by Bacillus, Lactobacillus, and Pediococcus strains. Methods: For ginseng seed fermentation, 1% of each strainwas inoculated on sterilized ginseng seeds and then incubated at $30^{\circ}C$ for 24 h in an incubator. Results: The total sugar content, acidic polysaccharides, and phenolic compounds, including p-coumaric acid, were higher in extracts of fermented ginseng seeds compared to a nonfermented control, and highest in extracts fermented with B. subtilis KFRI 1127. Fermentation led to higher antioxidant activity. The 2,2'-azine-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) radical scavenging activity was higher in ginseng seeds fermented by Bacillus subtilis than by Lactobacillus and Pediococcus, but Superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme activity was higher in ginseng seeds fermented by Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. Conclusion: Antioxidant activities measured by ABTS and SOD were higher in fermented ginseng seeds compared to nonfermented ginseng seeds. These results may contribute to improving the antioxidant activity and quality of ginseng subjected to fermentation treatments.
