  • Background: The incidence of dementia in Korea is a serious social problem, as the number of patients with dementia is increasing with a decrease in the age of dementia onset dementia is associated with oral disease among various causes, but there is very low awareness of the relationship between dementia and oral health. Therefore, in view of the above, we aimed to check oral health promotion and dementia prevention behaviors and use them as basic data for preventing dementia. Methods: In this study, we conducted a month-long survey of people aged 40 years and above living in South Korea, and reclaimed 140 survey questionnaires. Frequency analysis was performed for the perception level of the relationship between dementia and oral health, and the demographic characteristics assessed according to the perception level. Independent t-tests were performed for the mean comparison between oral health promotion and dementia prevention behaviors. Correlation analysis was performed for the relationship between the three variables (oral health promotion and dementia prevention behaviors, the perception level of the relationship between them). Results: The results showed that groups with a high level of awareness of the relationship between dementia and oral health were more likely to develop oral health promotion and dementia prevention behaviors (p<0.01). In addition, the higher the level of awareness related to dementia and oral health, the greater the likelihood of oral health and dementia prevention behaviors (p<0.01). Conclusion: Therefore, we should try to improve dementia prevention and oral health promotion by providing accurate knowledge and awareness of the relevance between dementia and oral health.

  • This study explored public awareness and donning practices of traditional and religious dresses among Indonesian Muslim. The relevant literature was reviewed first, and in-depth interviews and survey were followed to achieve the purpose of the study. Sarung and Kain Panjang are the most representative unisex traditional clothing of Indonesia. Traditional male dresses include Kemeja Batik, Beskap, Peci(Kopiah) and Blangkon. Traditional female dresses include Kebaya, Baju Kurung, Baju Bodo, Kemben, Rok Batik and Slendang. Baju Koko, Sarung and Peci(Kopiah) are the most well-known Muslim male dress items. Muslim female dresses are more diverse than men's. For traditional and religious dresses, which were identified from literature study, public awareness and donning practices were examined with survey data. Indonesian people consider Kebaya, Sarung, and Batik as the most important traditional dresses which convey national identity. Peci(Kopiah), Baju koko, and Jilbab(Kerudung) are highly mentioned as the representatives of Muslim dresses. Indonesian Muslims report that they own these representative dresses commonly. Peci and Sarung are included both in religious and traditional dresses, demonstrating that the two items are the representative crossovers of their religion and the tradition of the country. For both traditional and Muslim dresses, Indonesian people think that aesthetics and traditional values are more relevant than practical value. Lastly, it is found that traditional dresses are parts of the daily wear of Indonesian people from the fact that they wear traditional dresses more than once a week.

  • PURPOSE. A survey was performed to identify the level of mouthguard use, awareness, wearability issues and attitude toward mouthguard among elite Korean Taewondo athletes. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Survey questionnaires were given to 152 athletes participating in the Korea National Taekwondo team selection event for the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. Questionnaires consisted of three sections, mouthguard awareness, reasons for not wearing mouthguard and the last section to test the level of acceptance on current mouthguard and when the identified problems were resolved. For analyzing difference among response, ${\chi}^2$ test was used and significant level (${\alpha}$) was set up as 0.05. RESULTS. Responses in each of items showed significant difference (P<.001). Majority of response regarding each question: Majority of respondents believed that mouthguard were effective in preventing injuries (36.4%) but the result suggested that the provision of information on mouthguard to athletes was inadequate (44.0%) and the result showed that respondents were not greatly interested or concerned in relation to the mandatory mouthguard rule (31.6%). Although the responses on the level of comfort and wearability of mouthguard were negative (34.8%), athletes were positively willing to wear mouthguard if the problems rectified (51.2%). CONCLUSION. Considering the high level of willingness to wear mouthguard if the problems rectified, it is thought that together with efforts in providing more mouthguard information, the work of sports dentistry to research and improve mouthguard will be invaluable in promoting mouthguard to more athletes.

  • The way to respond to climate change is divided into mitigation and adaptation. So far, the response of climate change has been focused on mitigation. The perception of response of climate change also has been focused on mitigation. However, climate change mitigation and adaptation should be highlighted in a comparable concept as a response to climate change. On the other hand, perception of the public on climate change affects the support or opposition of the general public about climate change-related policies. The purpose of this study is to assess awareness of the general public and stakeholders on the subject of climate change adaptation and to present a basis for a future national climate change adaptation policy. Questionnaire on awareness of climate change adaptation were composed of the climate change and climate change response (mitigation, adaptation) understanding and importance, the seriousness of climate change-related adverse climate event, the need for climate change adaptation measures, the degree of implementation, and the level of government effort for climate change response. Climate change adaptation-related awareness survey was conducted for the general public 1,011 people and stakeholders 101 people by telephone interviews. In this study, the perception survey has a difference in aspect of the contents and methodology. And We were able to present the three characteristics of the general public and stakeholders aware of the subject of climate change adaptation. First, the relative importance of climate change adaptation was relatively low. Second level of awareness about climate change response of the public was significantly lower than the stakeholders. Finally, the need to prepare the implementation of the sectoral level, the first adaptation measures was relatively low.

  • In the complex virtual environment of cyberspace, comprised of digital and communication networks, ensuring the security of information is being recognized as an ongoing challenge. The importance of 'Cyber Situation Awareness (CSA)' is being emphasized in response to this. CSA is understood as a vital capability to identify, understand, and respond to various cyber threats and is positioned at the heart of cyber security strategies from a defensive perspective. Critical industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, and energy can be subjected to not just economic and societal losses from cyber threats but, in severe cases, national losses. Consequently, the importance of CSA is being accentuated and research activities are being vigorously undertaken. A systematic five-step approach to CSA is introduced against this backdrop, and a deep analysis of recent research trends, techniques, challenges, and future directions since 2019 is provided. The approach encompasses current situation and identification awareness, the impact of attacks and vulnerability assessment, the evolution of situations and tracking of actor behaviors, root cause and forensic analysis, and future scenarios and threat predictions. Through this survey, readers will be deepened in their understanding of the fundamental importance and practical applications of CSA, and their insights into research and applications in this field will be enhanced. This survey is expected to serve as a useful guide and reference for researchers and experts particularly interested in CSA research and applications.
