Objectives: This study was conducted to help reduce the anxiety about dental radiation exposures of people and to provide a way to instill proper awareness of dental radiation. Methods: To fulfill the research aim, this study conducted a survey to 330 subjects who are 20 years old or over living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do during the month of December 2016. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis among others. Results: As a result of examining the correlation between the anxiety of dental radiography and the correlations between the variables showed that the knowledge of radiation knowledge and the need for radiography (r=0.186, p<0.01), thinking about shooting (r=0.137, p<0.05), and the effectiveness of wearing protective equipment (r=0.120, p<0.01), showing statistically significant differences. As a result of examining the factors influencing anxiety of dental radiography among adults, high awareness of the need for dental radiography (p<0.01), the more the idea of dental anxiety in dental radiography is radiography showed higher (p<0.01). Conclusions: It seems proper that adequate dental radiography requires adequate explanation about it to patients, wearing of protective equipment, and appropriate dental radiation safety education.
This study was conducted to determine recognition of Chikhanwoo, promote its market competitiveness, and vitalize its uses in Korea. This research was carried out on 465 people, including 264 of the general public and 191 livestock farmers. For awareness of Chikhanwoo, 53.6% of the general public and 86.9% of livestock farmers recognized Chikhanwoo (P<0.001) through TV, Internet, news, magazines, and others. For consumption behaviors of Chikhanwoo meat, 4.3% of the general public and 1.9% of livestock farmers have purchased Chikhanwoo meat in the past. Most of them hinted at their intention to repurchase and highly intimated their wish to purchase on whether Chikhanwoo tastes better, is more nutritious and is safer than Hanwoo. In addition, they thought country of origin and price were the most important factors for purchasing (P<0.001). For recognition of the Hanwoo grading system, they preferred $1^{{+}{+}}$ and $1^+$, significantly (P<0.001). For need for quality certification, most respondents thought that the government should introduce a quality certification system for Chikhanwoo. For importance factor of prevalence of Chikhanwoo meat, marketability value had the highest degree of importance, followed by taste, quality, tradition and cooking methods (P<0.001). Results of this study show that domestic consumption of Chikhanwoo can be boosted by supplying Chikhanwoo meat with a differentiated taste and a safety assurance to the general public. There is also need to enhance genetic resources and improve brand value of Chikhanwoo. Continuous research and efforts should be made for the development of the livestock market.

The purpose of this study is to observe the age differences in safety perception among babyboomer, pre-elderly, and the elderly and to seek for countermeasures to overcome the risk. The data used for this study were from the 2008 Social Survey conducted by Administration on Statistics, Korea. The data were divided into three different age groups such as babyboomer, pre-elderly, and the elderly. Results showed that overall safety level of the society, safety perception of others and oneself, current social safety level compared to 10 years ago, social safety level after 10years, awareness of safety among different social fields, and the rank among the list of factors that lead to social insecurity appeared to differ according to the three different age groups. The awareness of safety for the elderly group was not higher than babyboomer and pre-elderly groups. Age differences in safety perception reflected the times and experiences the same age cohort went through. Countermeasures for security should be developed by considering the characteristics of the generations and different age groups.
Korean cosmetic distribution channels were formerly divided into sales visits and specialty shops, which made up the entire cosmetics market. However, recently the market and cosmetic distribution channels have become much more diversified. Thus, research for this study focused on the usage and purchase situations of cosmetic distribution channels depending on cosmetic type perception. This study also focused on the intent to purchase cosmetics by a cosmetic distribution channel in order to provide a precise cognitive background of consumers regarding cosmetic distribution channels. In doing so, the competitiveness of those channels could be procured and the causal relationships between these variables can be investigated. To achieve these purposes, the research model and hypotheses were derived through literature research on the cosmetics industry, cosmetic distribution channels, and consumers' intent to purchase. A survey was implemented from September $1^{st}$ to $14^{th}$, 2014 for empirical testing. and was given to female consumers in their 20s. 468 out of 500 surveys were collected; a total of 415 were used for analysis while the others were excluded due to with unreliable responses. The SPSS 21.0 program was used for analysis of materials. The overall conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between perception of cosmetic distribution channels and intent to purchase. The above research results may stimulate establishment of marketing implications and research material when establishing marketing strategies to promote cosmetic distribution and consumption.

This study focuses on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) as a theoretical perspective to provide education that enables adolescent students to understand themselves, establish healthy relationships with others, and form a healthy community. The meaning of learning and core competencies were analyzed. Results showed that the core competencies of SEL were all included in the nature, goals, subject competencies, core concepts, generalized knowledge, and achievement standards of the 2015 revised Home Economics Education (HEE) Curriculum. The implications for this are: First, the core competencies of SEL can be sufficiently cultivated through explicit education in HE classes without introducing a separate SEL program in the school field. Second, since HEE is a subject that emphasizes practice, the competencies of SEL can be applied in connection with actual life outside of school. Lastly, the effectiveness of SEL can be increased through HEE because the goals of SEL, which emphasize the connection between parents and the creation of healthy and safe community, are similar to the goals of HEE.
This paper investigated the awareness and activation of food tourism festivals in Gwangju, Jeonnam Province. A survey was conducted for the visitors of the Gwangju Kimchi Festival at nearby Gwangju Jeungoe park from October 15 to 19, 2011, and finally 207 respondents were analyzed. As a results of this study, the visitors who visited the Gwangju Kimchi Festival have a lot of interest in local food and food festivals. Also, most of the visitors have much more affection for the area and the food culture developed by geographical influence. The Gwangju Kimchi festival proved to be the most popular food tourism festival in Gwangju, Jeonnam among others. There are much more food festivals than other regions in Gwangju, Jeonnam because of popularity of food festivals, a variety of food, and various kinds of food ingredients. What is necessary to activate the food tourism festivals in Gwangju, Jeonnam includes a variety of programs related to food tourism experience, the development of competitive food tourism products, and PR for well-being food of these areas.

This study was conducted to identify factors influencing the weight control behavior of college students. The subjects included college students in the C area, and data were collected through a self reported structured questionnaire from Dec 01 to 20 of 2015. Overall, 289 subjects were analyzed. Analyses consisted of descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings showed a prominent distortion of college students' perceptions of their bodies based on evaluation by others and obesity stress, which had special impacts on their weight control behavior. Weight control behavior, body self-awareness (r=.31, p<0.001), assessment of body by others (r=.30, p<0.001), and obesity stress (r=.43, p<0.001) were closely related to their weight control behavior. Stepwise multiple regression revealed that their weight control behavior was closely influenced by obesity stress (${\beta}=.37$, p<0.001) and assessment of body by others (${\beta}=.15$, p=0.009). These variables accounted for 20% of the weight control behavior (F=37.30, p<0.001). Overall, assessment of body by others and obesity stress were found to be predictors of their weight control behavior. These findings indicate that it is necessary to develop and implement information programs and design appropriate prevention programs that can induce healthy weight control behaviors. Such programs should include health education, as well as intervention programs to identify such predictors and help college students judge and perceive their body shapes objectively so that they control their weight in a proper manner.

Delay in help-seeking behaviour which is potentially preventable has a major effect on the prognosis and survival of patients with breast cancer. The objective of this study was to explore reasons for delay in seeking help among patients with breast cancer from the East Coast of peninsular Malaysia. A qualitative study using face-to-face in-depth interview was carried out involving 12 breast cancer patients who had been histo-pathologically confirmed and were symptomatic on presentation. Respondents were selected purposely based on their history of delayed consultation, diagnosis or treatment. All were of Malay ethnicity and the age range was 26-67 years. Three were in stage ll, seven in stage lll and two in stage lV. At the time of interview, all except one respondent had accepted treatment. The range of consultation time was 0.2-72.2 months with a median of 1.7 months, diagnosis time was 1.4-95.8 months( median 5.4 months )and treatment time was 0-33.3 months (median 1.2 months). The themes derived from the study were poor knowledge or awareness of breast cancer, fear of cancer consequences, beliefs in complementary alternative medicine, sanction by others, other priorities, denial of disease, attitude of wait and see and health care system weakness. Help-seeking behaviour was influenced by a complex interaction of cognitive, environmental, beliefs, culture and psycho-social factors. Breast cancer awareness and psychological counselling are recommended for all patients with breast symptoms to prevent delay in seeking clinical help.

This study is aimed at exploring the effects of forest experience activities on promoting children's community spirit. To achieve this, a pre-post survey was empirically carried out with 40 children at Kindergarten A in the city of Chungnam. The comprehensive findings showed a significant difference between the experimental group, which had forest experience activities, and the control group, which had outdoor activities based on the existing Nuri curriculum. Based on a pre-test for intimacy, emotion, mutual public awareness, and participation consciousness as sub-factors of community spirit, which adopted all the research hypotheses, the results suggest that the forest kindergarten will become an educational place for children. Consequently, personality education using nature in forest kindergartens can become an excellent goal, helping to boost the development of children's sensitivity and emotional stability through awakening the five senses; building up self-awareness, self-reliance, and trust; learning consideration and respect for others; and developing positive attitudes, sociality, potential, imagination, and creativity through forest activities with their peers.
Health promotion program utilizing traditional korean medicine(TKM) is very unique modality uncommonly conducted throughout the world. Korea's TKM public health services went through initial stage from 2001 and spread throughout the country by 2003. 35 public health centers in the nation is appointed as 'TKM health promotion HUB' and in operation from 2007. But the program is still in the early state and evaluation of usage, satisfaction, and community service is still in demand. This study aims to verify current situations of TKM public health service by examining public awareness, usage, and satisfaction and suggest improvements based on findings. 2.5% of local residents were sampled and 1739 were chosen as subjects. Knowledge, attitude, satisfaction and others for TKM public health service were examined. TKM treatment service was most widely utilized(13.2%), followed by CVA prevention program(5.2%). For satisfaction level, CVA prevention program showed highest satisfaction(73.3%), closely followed by (Qi-gong program 63%). In general, awareness and utilization of TKM public health service were low but compensated by high satisfaction level. More active promotion and development of community specific programs should become available in the future.
