  • This research seeks opinions and development plan in forceful measures of qualifying examinations analyzing awareness of people in charge of medical tour about the qualifying examination system of international medical tour coordinator. The result of research shows the relatively positive awareness towards the qualifying examination and its system of international medical tour coordinator. Regarding the examination subjects, score about the necessity of subject where medical professionalism is considered marked high(4.01). About whether they would take the test or not, there was careful difference in the awareness of examination system(0.019) and operation method(0.004.). For the qualifying examination to be settled and thus to reinforce the professionalism, it is considered essential to have improvement in the problems of treatment towards acquisitors of certificate and awareness of field regarding the certificate, and review of supplementary subject aimed at the reinforcement of medical professionalism in terms of examination subjects.

  • In recent years, LBS(Location Based Service) is applied in many different fields. Therefore, various location-aware schemes have been studied. In the location awareness system using time dependent algorithm, TOA(Time of Arrival) or TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival) algorithm, distortion of a signal by AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) and multi-path effects cause the degradation of location awareness performance. In this paper, the unexpected noise is eliminated by averaging multiple pulses in order to overcome the degradation of performance. Also, we research the technique for improving the performance of the location awareness by detecting direct-path signal with adjusting threshold.

  • In ubiquitous environment, there are no limits to utilize networks whenever and wherever you are. That pervasive networks are combined with the information devices and then create various services such as car navigation of LBS(location based service) and DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). As these kinds of services are getting more various, the complexity is also getting higher and ultimately the convergence will make people feel frustrated. One of the solutions is Context-Awareness[1] technology. User interface with context-awareness filters unnecessary information and prevents users from being blocked due to the massive information. In this paper, we describe the seamless service system based on location-awareness, which is a type of context-awareness. We developed the system based on UPnP AV Framework. This system provides the automatic terminal device selection for the nomadic user. The system establishes new connections for the ongoing streaming playback session with the new AV devices without substantial loss of playback so that the user can enjoy the seamless service. The AV device selection based on the user's location needs no user's intervention or notification so it achieves the improvement of usability and complexity.

Methods : Two hundred and one dental medical institutions in Busan and Gyeongnam participated in the survey from March 10 to April 4, 2014. The data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 for ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Results : There were significant differences in the awareness and performance towards the radiation protection behaviors according to age, monthly income, and type of hospital(p<0.05). Protective equipment influenced on the awareness and performance of dental staff and patients(p<0.001). The important variables on dental radiation protection included protection facility and education of protective equipment. It is found the variable to affect the performance of dental radiation protection was protection facility, wearing of protective device staff and patients, education on RSM. Conclusions : These results can provide the basic data for the effective dental radiation safety management and improvement for the dental institutions.

Methods : This study is conducted with a total of 244 special education teachers in Dae Gu, Gyeong Buk, Gyeong Nam, Bu San city from 1st April to 30th April, 2011. Results : More healthy state of oral health reflected higher point of oral health behavior. In the correlation among the oral health knowledge, behavior and education, higher oral health knowledge reflected higher oral health behavior. In the obstacle factors against oral health education, 41.0% was in the lack of professionalism and understanding of oral health education. The majority method for oral health education was regular teaching and the oral health in charge of education was school nurse 67.1%. The most important point for improvement for oral health class enabled was oral health recognition of teachers about the importance of education. • Since 1986, domestic sewage treatment plants have installed and operated biogas plants that produce biogas (digested gas) using food, livestock manure and sewage sludge as part of the use of alternative energy for energy independence. Despite concerns about safety accidents and risks of large-scale accidents due to the continuous expansion of biogas plants, the Ministry of Environment has managed and supervised biogas plants to be environmental plants, focusing on environmental management. There is a lack of safety awareness of workers' processes. Only recently has the process safety management (PSM) system been implemented in biogas plants, but workers' perceptions of process safety have changed. As there is a difference in the degree of safety process management and safety awareness among workers, it is necessary to establish clear and systematic safety management standards. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to examine whether the application of the plant safety management (PSM) system to biogas plants is effective for workers' safety awareness in order to ensure safe operation of biogas plants and prevent workers' safety accidents in advance.

  • Objective: Setting therapeutic goals assist to identify patient priorities and predict problem that may arise in performing daily and functional activities. Goal setting is associated with improved rehabilitation outcomes in individuals with hemiparetic stroke. This study was conducted to assess the effects of having awareness and satisfaction of goals on the functional status of individuals with hemiparetic stroke. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Eighty-one people who had been diagnosed with stroke participated in this study. The study was conducted through a face-to-face surveys to identify participants' awareness and satisfaction of goals and standard assessment tools were used to evaluate patients' functional status. This study measured functional status through three clinical measures including the manual function test (MFT), Berg Balance scale (BBS), and modified Barthel index (MBI). Results: In participants with hemiparetic stroke, the MBI, BBS, and MFT scores were significantly higher in the participants who were aware of the therapeutic goal than in those who were unaware (p<0.05). The MBI, BBS, and MFT scores were not significant between the participants who were satisfied with the goal and those who were unsatisfied. Conclusions: This study suggests that having awareness in therapeutic goal-setting could lead to improvement of functional status in those with hemiparetic stroke. This study highlights how goal-setting can have a positive effect on persons with hemiparetic stroke.
