경량식혈기를 이용한 용기묘 식재의 작업공정 및 초기생장 분석 (An Analysis on the Operation Productivity and Initial Growth of Containerized Seedlings Planted by the Lightweight Planting Auger)

  • Due to aging of the rural and mountain populations the labor force is reduced. However work intensity continues to increase, thus, there is a need to improve the current effectiveness of forest operations. This study compared and analyzed the Operation productivity and efficiency of planting containerized seedlings using a battery-powered planting auger and a mattock. Growth was also investigated by looking into the initial growth increments in the planted seedlings. Tasks were investigated by analyzing the process and operation time needed to plant 1 containerized seedling using a planting auger and a mattock. The time spent on the various elements of the planting process was measured with a stopwatch but observations were done continuously. Result of the study shows that with the use of a lightweight planting auger the average time spent to plant a containerized seedling is 18.61 seconds while with the use of a mattock it took an average of 26.96 seconds which clearly demonstrates that the planting auger is more efficient in terms of working hours. Working intensity was also analyzed with the use of a portable heart rate monitor (Polar V800). The average increase in heart rate and work intensity index were analyzed for one planting cycle. It was observed that when using the lightweight planting auger, there was a 46.51% increase in the average heart rate while a 74.67% increase in heart rate when the mattock was used which shows that there is a significant increase in heart rate when mattock is used. In addition, work intensity index was observed to be 29.95% and 47.83% when the planting auger and mattock were used respectively. With the continuous use, work intensity index is significantly higher with the use of the mattock as compared to that of the lightweight planting auger. There were no significant differences on the growth increment of seedlings planted using the different tools until a year after planting, however differences in growth increment were observed after a year. A difference of 15.1 cm in height and 3.41 mm in diameter was observed which shows that the use of lightweight planting auger is excellent for planting containerized seedlings.

  • 본 연구에서는 연최대치 호우사상을 결정하기 위해 총강우량과 강우강도를 함께 고려하여 계산한 재현기간을 기준으로 판단하는 방안을 제안하였다. 이러한 방법론은 서울 지점의 1961년 이후 관측된 자료를 대상으로 수행되었으며, 그 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 연최대 호우사상의 결정을 위해 이변량 지수분포를 적용하였다. 이변량 지수분포의 적용을 위한 모수추정은 전기간에 대해 수행하는 것보다는 연도별로 추정하는 것이 보다 합리적인 것으로 판단하였다. 선정된 호우사상들의 특성을 살펴보면, 먼저, 강수량이 많은 다우해에는 총강수량이 제일 많은 호우사상이 연최대 호우사상으로 선정되는 경향을 보인다. 강수량이 적은 과우해에는 상대적으로 강우강도가 큰 호우사상이 선정되는 경향이 있다. 이 두 특성은 각각 토양이 습윤한 경우와 건조한 경우 유출의 규모가 큰 호우사상을 선정할 가능성을 크게 해 주는 것이므로, 수문학적 최대호우의 개념도 어느 정도 만족시킨다고 할 수 있다. 선정된 연최대 호우사상의 평균적인 형태는, 강우지속기간이 1시간인 경우에는 강우강도 32.7 mm/hr(총강우량 32.7 mm), 지속기간 24시간인 경우에는 강우강도 9.7 mm/hr(총강우량 231.6 mm), 그리고 지속기간 48시간인 경우에는 강우강도 7.4 mm/hr(총강우량 355.0 mm) 등이다.

명암 필터와 개선된 허프 변환을 이용한 성인영상 검출 (Adult Image Detection Using an Intensity Filter and an Improved Hough Transform)

  • 본 논문에서는 평균 명암 필터와 개선된 2D 허프 변환을 이용하여 영상에서 가슴 영역을 검출함으로써 음란영상을 탐지하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 유해물 영상 검출 방법은 크게 학습 단계, 인식 단계, 검증 단계의 3가지 주요 단계로 구성된다. 학습 단계에서는 가슴의 유두 부분 영상의 학습을 통하여 인식 단계에서 사용할 유두 평균 명암 필터를 생성한다. 인식 단계에서는 입력 영상을 받아들여 에지를 추출하고, 에지의 밀도를 이용해 연결성분을 추출한 후. 추출된 연결성분의 가로와 세로외 길이 비율을 고려하여 유두 후보영역을 결정한다. 그리고 학습된 유두 평균 명암 필터와 입력 영상의 유두 후보영역 사이의 유사도를 측정하여 가장 유사도가 높은 영역을 최종적인 유두후보영역으로 결정하며, 개선된 2D 허프 변환을 이용하여 영상에서 가슴 라인을 검출한다. 검증 단계에서는 인식 단계에서 획득한 유두 후보영역과 가슴 라인의 위치를 고려하여 가슴 영역을 판단함으로써 유해물 영상의 최종 유무를 결정한다. 실험 결과에서는 다양한 영상을 이용한 실험을 통해 제안한 방법이 가슴 영역을 효과적으로 인식할 수 있음을 보여 주었으며, 결과적으로 제안된 방법이 음란 영상의 검출에 유용하게 활용될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The stabilization characteristics of diffusion flame formed in the wake of a cylindrical flame holder were investigated. Distribution of turbulence intensity, concentration distribution of combustion gas, and ion currents were measured. The turbulence intensity in the wake of cylindrical- game holder is increased with increase of diameter or blockage ratio of grid. If the auxiliary fuel is injected into recirculation zone, the concentration of $C_3H_8$ is high, but the concentration of $CO_2$ is low at the boundary of recirculation zone. The region with highest average value of ion currents in the middle of flame is moved to the upstream side by the turbulent components of main stream. The flame mass with partially active reaction is moved fast for uniform flow and turbulence generator G3, but the flame mass with relatively slow reaction is moved slowly for turbulence generator G1.

Comparison study of intensity modulated arc therapy using single or multiple arcs to intensity modulated radiation therapy for high-risk prostate cancer

  • Purpose: Intensity modulated arc therapy (IMAT) is a form of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) that delivers dose in single or multiple arcs. We compared IMRT plans versus single-arc field (1ARC) and multi-arc fields (3ARC) IMAT plans in high-risk prostate cancer. Materials and Methods: Sixteen patients were studied. Prostate ($PTV_P$), right pelvic ($PTV_{RtLN}$) and left pelvic lymph nodes ($PTV_{LtLN}$), and organs at risk were contoured. $PTV_P$, $PTV_{RtLN}$, and $PTV_{LtLN}$ received 50.40 Gy followed by a boost to $PTV_B$ of 28.80 Gy. Three plans were per patient generated: IMRT, 1ARC, and 3ARC. We recorded the dose to the PTV, the mean dose ($D_{MEAN}$) to the organs at risk, and volume covered by the 50% isodose. Efficiency was evaluated by monitor units (MU) and beam on time (BOT). Conformity index (CI), Paddick gradient index, and homogeneity index (HI) were also calculated. Results: Average Radiation Therapy Oncology Group CI was 1.17, 1.20, and 1.15 for IMRT, 1ARC, and 3ARC, respectively. The plans' HI were within 1% of each other. The $D_{MEAN}$ of bladder was within 2% of each other. The rectum $D_{MEAN}$ in IMRT plans was 10% lower dose than the arc plans (p < 0.0001). The GI of the 3ARC was superior to IMRT by 27.4% (p = 0.006). The average MU was highest in the IMRT plans (1686) versus 1ARC (575) versus 3ARC (1079). The average BOT was 6 minutes for IMRT compared to 1.3 and 2.9 for 1ARC and 3ARC IMAT (p < 0.05). Conclusion: For high-risk prostate cancer, IMAT may offer a favorable dose gradient profile, conformity, MU and BOT compared to IMRT.

Effect of night light regimen on growth performance, antioxidant status and health of broiler chickens from 1 to 21 days of age

  • Objective: The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of night light regimen on growth performance, antioxidant status and health of Lingnan Yellow broiler chickens from 1 to 21 days of age. Methods: A completely randomized factorial design involved 2 photoperiods (constant lighting [CL], 24 L:0 D and intermittent lighting [INL], 17 L:3 D:1 L:3 D)${\times}2$ light intensities (10 lx and 30 lx). A total of one thousand six hundred and eighty 1-d-old Lingnan Yellow broiler chicks were randomly divided into 4 treatments with 6 replicates (70 birds per replicate). The experiment lasted for 21 d. Results: Photoperiods and light intensities had no effect on average daily gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality of the broiler chickens (p>0.05). The INL had a significant effect on average daily feed intake (p<0.05) of broiler chickens compared with CL. Photoperiod and light intensity had an interactive effect on melatonin (MT) concentration (p<0.05). At CL, reducing light intensity increased MT concentration; INL birds had higher MT but MT concentration was not affected by light intensity. There was an interactive effect on glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and catalase (CAT) in serum and total antioxidant capability (T-AOC) in liver between photoperiod and light intensity. With the decrease of light intensity, the activities of GPx and CAT in serum and T-AOC in liver increased in CL group (p<0.05). Broiler chickens reared under INL had better antioxidant status and 10 lx treatments had higher activities of CAT in serum than 30 lx (p<0.05). Different photoperiods and light intensities had no effect on malondialdehyde. There was an interaction between photoperiod and light intensity on serum creatine kinase (CK) concentration (p<0.05). At CL, the elevated light intensity resulted in an increase in CK content; INL birds had lower CK concentration especially in low light intensity group. Besides, INL and low light intensity significantly reduced the concentration of serum corticosterone and heat shock protein 70 (p<0.05). Serum immunoglobulin M contents were increased in broiler chickens reared under the INL compared with CL group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Results above suggest that the night light regimen of INL and 10 lx could be beneficial to the broiler chickens from 1 to 21 days of age due to the better health status and electricity savings.

음성강조에의 응용을 위한 신경회로망에 의한 잡음량의 추정법 (Estimation method of noise intensity by neural network for application in speech enhancement)

  • 잡음이 중첩된 음성으로부터 잡음을 제거하기 위해서는, 잡음의 크기에 따라서 음성처리 시스템의 매개변수를 변경하는 것이 양호한 음질의 음성을 재생하는데 바람직하다. 본 논문은 백색잡음 및 자동차의 주행잡음에 의해 저하된 3단계의 음성을 학습할 수 있는 3층 구조의 신경회로망을 사용하여, 음성 중의 잡음량의 크기를 추정하는 방식을 제안한다. 실험결과, 제안한 방법은 신경회로망에 의해서 잡음량이 추정될 수 있는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 화자와 음성 데이터가 학습데이터와 다르더라도 백색잡음에 대해서 평균 $95\%$ 이상의 높은 잡음 추정율을 구할 수 있었다.

Optimization of Radiator Position in an Internally Radiating Photobioreactor: A Model Simulation Study

  • This study focused on the optimization of the illumination method for efficient use of light energies in a photobioreactor. In order to investigate the effect of radiator position, a model simulation study was carried out using Synechococcus sp. PCC 6301 and an internally radiating photobioreactor as a model system. The efficiency of light transfer in a photobioreactor was analyzed by estimating the average light intensity in a photobioreactor. The simulation result, indicate that there exists an optimal position of internal radiators, and that the optimal position varies with radiator number and cell concentration. When light radiators are placed at the optimal position, the average light intensity is about 30% higher than that obtained by placing radiators at the circumstance or center of a photobioreactor. The method presented in this work may be useful for improving light transfer efficiency in a photobioreactor.

  • 엘리베이터 내부에서는 흡연이나 음주 등 사회적으로 폐가되는 행동은 금지되어 있다. 승강기 내에서 흡연을 하는 것은 상도덕에 어긋나는 일이며 자라는 우리 아이들과 여성들에게 매우 치명적일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 승강기 내에서 흡연을 하는 사람을 추출하여 포렌식 증거 자료로 제출하기 위해서이다. 방법은 흰색 막대를 입에 물거나, 연기를 내품는 사람을 추출하는 것이다. 방법은 장면 전환 검출에서 평균 명암 측정 방법으로 추출한다.

스펙클 영상에서의 다해상도 에지 검출 (Multiresolution Edge Detection in Speckle Imagery)

  • In this paper, a multiresolution edge detction algorithm for speckle images is proposed. Due to the signal dependency of speckle images, the number of edge points detected depends on the local average intensity. Thus the edge detection method independent of the average intensity is required to detect properly real significant changes in an original signal. In the proposed method, candidate area is first selected based on the statistical propeties of speckle images,i.e., based on the busyness measure such as the CoV(coefficient of variation) and the difference between the real and theoretical CDF(cumulative density function). Then the real edges are extracted in a multiresolution environment. Computer simulation with test images shows that the proposed method reduces significantly false edges in relatively homogeneous areas while detects fine details properly.
