국내 자동차산업에서 제품데이터품질에 대한 현황 조사 (Investigation of Product Data Quality in the Korean Automotive Industry)

  • Product data quality (PDQ) is a real and significant issue in today's manufacturing environment. In the Korean automotive industry, much of the design work takes place with the support of software tools, such as CAD systems. Although many designers frequently encounter quality problems regarding product data, there is no investigation into the present state of CAD usage and PDQ activities before. The Korean automotive industry is responsible for about 11.1 percent of the total value of manufactured goods in Korea and 7.9 percent of employment in manufacturing. A study performed by the Research Triangle Institute showed that imperfect interoperability imposes at least $\$1$ billion per year on the members of the U.S. automotive supply chain. The trends toward concurrent engineering and out-sourcing have elevated the importance of high-quality product data and efficient product data exchange. This paper shows the results from a survey of PDQ conducted on seven 1st tiers among members of the Korean automotive supply chain.

자작형 하이브리드카의 제작 및 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Manufacture and Control of a Self Manufacturing Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

  • In this paper, Hybrid Electric Vehicle is directly designed and manufactured for base study of HEV's system and Green Car. Foundation design consists of power train design and the frame design. The power train concept includes motor, engine, generator and battery. And the concept of the frame is the single-seat of this self-made HEV. A frame installed in hybrid system contains suspension, steering wheel, seat, accelerating pedal, brake pedal, clutch handle and various chassis parts with bearings. Electromagnetic clutch is equipped to transmit engine power to drive axle. The control algorism make using LabVIEW to control of an engine and a motor depending on drive condition. A parallel type hybrid system is manufactured to control operation of a motor and an engine depending on vehicle speed.

ASM을 이용한 전기 이륜차 동력 특성 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Power Characteristic of Electric Motorcycle using ASM)

  • In this paper, we propose that a model based design for an electric motor cycle system using ASM (Automotive Simulation Models). Before prototyping a realistic electric motorcycle, a reliable simulation program is required to test the capacities of the power sources and optimize the parameters of an electric motorcycle. Because ASM is based on Simulink, we can design the drivetrain and powertrain of the vehicle model systems easily. To verify the electric motorcycle system analysis of design parameters such as max power, capacity, state of charge and slope angle is carried out by the simulation and experimental method. The predicted results by the development model were in good agreement with the experimentally obtained results. Therefore, the proposed electric motorcycle model can effectively reduce the expenses during the designing of an electric motorcycle system.

배기계 형상이 과급기를 장착한 4실린더 디젤엔진의 소기성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Exhaust System Configuration on Scavenging Characteristic of a Four-Cylinder Turbocharged Diesel Engine)

  • A four-stroke four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine can be fitted with various types exhaust system. In this paper, the impacts of exhaust system design on scavenging performance and wave action characteristic during valve overlap are investigated by using one-dimensional gas dynamic code. This work shows that a huge reflected exhaust pressure waves which reaches the exhaust port during valve overlap period is crucial design factor which determines quality and quantity of the fresh charge. Hence pressure wave that reaches the exhaust port of the cylinder during the valve overlap sequence should be weakened for good scavenging performance. This paper describes advantages and disadvantages of the various exhaust systems applied to a turbocharged and intercooled 4-cylinder diesel engine system in terms of scavenging efficiency and engine performance. To verify the computational results, experimental comparison has also performed.

3D 프린팅에서 자동차용 Inner ring의 내부밀도에 따른 치수 특성 (Dimensional Characteristics according to Internal Density of Automotive Inner Ring in 3D Printing)

  • Reverse engineering involves duplicating a physical part by measuring and analyzing its physical dimensions, features, and material properties. By combining reverse engineering with three-dimensional (3D) printing, engineers can simply fabricate and evaluate functional prototypes. This design methodology has been attracting increasing interest with the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the present study, we apply reverse engineering and 3D printing technologies to evaluate a fabricated automotive inner ring prototype. Through 3D printing, inner rings of various densities were prepared. Their physical dimensions were measured with a 3D scanning system. Of our interest was the effect of inner ring density on the physical dimensions of the fabricated prototype. We compared the design dimensions and physical dimensions of the fabricated prototypes. The results revealed that even the 20% density of inner ring was effective for 3D printing in terms of satisfying the design requirements.

자동차 글라스 조립 자동화설비를 위한 프라이머 도포검사 비전시스템 개발 (Primer Coating Inspection System Development for Automotive Windshield Assembly Automation Facilities)

  • Implementing flexible production systems in domestic and foreign automotive design parts assembly has increased demand for automation and power reduction. Consequently, transition to a hybrid production method is observed where multiple vehicles are assembled in a single assembly line. Multiple robots, 3D vision sensors, mounting positions, and correction software have complex configurations in the automotive glass mounting system. Hence, automation is required owing to significant difficulty in the assembly process of automobile parts. This study presents a primer lighting and inspection algorithm that is robust to the assembly environment of real automotive design parts using high power 'ㄷ'-shaped LED inclined lighting. Furthermore, a 2D camera was developed in the primer coating inspection system-the core technology of the glass mounting system. A primer application demo line applicable to the actual automobile production line was established using the proposed high power lighting and algorithm. Furthermore, application inspection performance was verified using this demo system. Experimental results verified that the performance of the proposed system exceeded the level required to satisfy the automobile requirements.

자동차디자인의 미래 트렌드 예측에 관한 여구 (Forecasting Study for the Future Automotive Design Trend)

  • 디자인의 변천사는 시대적 상황이나 사회적 유행에 따라 시시 각각으로 다양하게 변화되어 왔다. 디자인의 가치 또한 다양한 방법으로 판단되고 인정되어 새로운 트렌드의 출현과 발전을 거듭해 왔다. 실용적 생활을 위한 다양한 디자인적 조형의 추구는 보다 풍요로운 삶과 여유를 가져다주었으며, 자동차의 조형 디자인 추구는 과학기술의 눈부신 성장과 발전에 따라, 이제는 과거 그 어느 때 보다도 디자인에 대한 기대와 중요성이 확대되어 요구되어지고 있다. 그것은 기술적, 기능적 측면의 고도화 단계에 있는 최근의 '기술적 평준화' 상황에 있어서 세계시장의 승부는 소비자의 니즈(Needs)에 부합하는 차별화 디자인으로 귀결되기 때문이다. 본 연구는 자동차 디자인에 있어서 근 미래 디자인 트렌드를 예측함으로써 향후 자동차 디자인의 경쟁력 확보를 위한 방향으로 고찰하였다. 연구는 우선 디자인 트렌드의 변화에 의한 시대별 디자인 가치변화의 흐름과 21세기 사회변화의 양상과 그에 따른 소비자 가치관의 변화를 분석하였고, 시대별, 지역별로 자동차와 제품디자인의 트렌드를 비교 연구하였으며 미래 디자인 예측은 미국, 유럽, 일본 등 자동차 선진국의 최근에 나타나고 있는 자동차 디자인 현상을 여러 측면에서 조사, 분석하여 정리하였다.
