  • Ultra high strength steels(UHSS) are widely used to fill the needs of lightweight part for automobile, and the control of springback is very important (actor in sheet metal forming using UHSS. In this study, to lighten the center floor side member(CFSM) which is normally manufactured using $600{\sim}800MPa$ steel sheet, new design of the manufacturing process for CFSM using APFC980 has been proposed. To accomplish this goal, the influence of process variables such as die corner radius and die wall angle on the springback were investigated using FE-analysis. In order to insure the validity of FE-analysis, the springback results of FE-analysis was verified with prototype product.

  • The sintered parts are mainly used for automobile industry, and a part of air conditioners. In automobile industry, the application range of sintered parts is very broad and use for a driving and a lubricating system. And air conditioner uses them for compressor. Grinding of compressor and pump parts is very difficult these days, because these parts use High hardness materials and require high precision grinding. Tool life has to be extended to decrease production cost. We analyzed processing mechanism and developed new grinding wheels for Double Disk Grinding. And, we introduce new truing technology that improved tool-life and precision.

  • The aluminum Subframe for automobile was developed using hybrid process, i.e. extruforming and press forming. To achieve a $30\%$ weight reduction compared with convensional steel subframe keeping satisfactory performance, the design of cross-section of extrusion part was initiated, then forming simulation was performed and the final design was determined. In addition, we tried to estibilish proper aluminum welding conditions for good penetration depth and few pore defact, finally the prototype of aluminum subframe was assembled using MIG welding method.

  • Systematic quality control based on real time data is required for modern factories. This study introduced a method of predicting punch wear in the trimming process of automobile parts. Based on monitoring data of the mass production process using a bolt-type piezo sensor, it was shown that precursor symptoms of die wear could be predicted from the change in load pattern with respect to production volume. The load pattern that changed according to the wear of the die was verified by numerical analysis.

  • 플라스틱은 형상의 구애를 거의 받지 않아 자유 곡면형상을 표현할 수 있고, 다양한 색상과 저렴한 가격으로 대량으로 생산할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있으며, 차량의 경량화 부품소재로 많이 사용되고 있는 가운데 자동차 도어필러 성형은 엔지니어링 플라스틱을 사용하는 대표적인 예로서, 사출성형으로 생산되고 있다. 이러한 방법으로 생산된 부품은 대부분 외관 부품으로 사용되어 표면에 대한 불량 제거가 무엇보다 중요하며, 이를 위해 마지막 공정으로 폴리싱 작업을 수행하고 있다. 작업자에 의해 이루어지는 폴리싱 작업은 많은 힘을 요구하며, 이로 인해 작업자들의 피로도가 높은 공정으로 분류되어 기피공정이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 영상처리를 이용하여 폴리싱 공정의 작업을 작업자와 연계하여 불량위치를 검출하고 폴리싱 공정을 자동으로 수행할 수 있도록 폴리싱 자동화 장비의 개발하였다. 이를 통해 생산시간 단축(30초)및 작업인원 1명 감소로 생산단가의 경쟁력을 높이는 개선효과를 기대하게 되었다.

  • 차량용 블랙박스는 교통사고 예방 및 원인 규명을 위해 충분한 정보를 제공하고, 그 정보 데이터베이스는 개인의 사생활 침해를 최소화하는 범위에서 적절하게 공개되어 전 국민에게 다양한 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 따라서 차량용 블랙박스는 정부 기관이나 보험 업체뿐만 아니라 관련 업계 전체에 긍정적 파급 효과가 큰 지능형 요소 부품이다. 본 논문에서는 차량용 블랙박스의 도입이 추진되고 있는 현 상황에서 차량용 블랙박스의 기술적 내용과 국내외 기술 현황을 조사하고, 국내외에서 출원된 특허 분석을 통하여 차량용 블랙박스에 대한 특허 출원 현황 조사 결과와 핵심 특허 기술의 심층 분석 내용을 제시한다. 또한, 국내외에서 진행되고 있는 표준화/법제화 동향 등을 서술하고, 이에 대한 대응방안으로서 표준화 제정 및 블랙박스 제품기술 개발 방안들을 함께 제시한다.

교통사고 환자 544례를 통한 한방자동차보험의 실태에 관한 조사 (Survey of Oriental Medical Care for Traffic Accident Patients with Automobile insurance; 544 Cases Report)

  • Objectives : The main purpose of this Survey is to make a research on the actual condition of Automobile insurance system in oriental medical care. Methods : In this research, we surveyed 544 patients of traffic accident who were visited oriental medical clinic or hospital in Daegu, Korea from January, 1, 2008 to December, 31, 2008 according to medical chart. They made up Questionnaire about sex, age, pattern of accidents, days to visit oriental medical clinic, motivation to visiting clinic, damaged part of the body, chief complaint, treatment given to them, medication, tests, days of treatment and the effect. Results : The patients visited oriental medical clinic or hospital were fewer numbers from most of traffic accident patients. And most of their symptoms were light and the treatment and test of oriental medicine was limited for them because of automobile insurance limitation. Conclusions : For this study, we confirmed a possibility for the treatment of traffic accident patients in oriental medical treatment. Still, we needs to expend the boundary of treatment and to come into application of insurance.

차대차 추돌사고 재현시험을 통한 경추염좌 상해 위험도 연구 (Whiplash Injury Case Studies through Low Speed Rear-end Crash Tests)

  • Whiplash injuries in low-speed rear-end collisions are the most common injuries and has been a social issue in insurance industry, such as excessive medical claim costs along with exaggerated injuries of victims and treatments from hospitals. According to the Korea Insurance Development Institute reports, the number of claims by rear-end collision was approximately 703,000, which accounts for 53.6 % of the total car-to-car collisions in 2014. Part of the neck injury claims in the Korea car insurance was approximately 28.3 %. Furthermore, approximately 98.4% of the injured persons in rear-end collisions sustained minor injuries under AIS2. In order to improve this situation as well as find out the severity of neck injuries from rear-end collision, the Korea Automobile Insurance Repair Research and Training Center conducted car-to-car rear-end crash tests that striking vehicles(SUV) collided into different sizes of struck-vehicles(small, middle, and large sedan) at the impact speeds of 8 km/h ~ 16 km/h. In order to analyze the whiplash injury, the BioRID-II was seated in each struck-vehicles, and the neck injury criteria(NIC), head contact time, maximum vehicle accelerations, and mean vehicle accelerations were calculated from values from the accelerations of the dummy and the struck-vehicles.

사회심리적 스트레스 및 작업특성 요인이 직업성요통에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Psychosocial Stress and Job Characteristics on Low Back Injury)

  • The aim was to evaluate the prevailing ergonomic and psychosocial conditions regarding low back injury in an automobile assembly system. This study consisted of two parts. In the first part of the study, analytic biomechanical model and NIOSH guidelines were applied to evaluate risk levels of low back injury for automobile assembly jobs. Total of 246 workers were analysed. There were 20 jobs having greater back compressive forces than 300kg at L5/S1. Also, there were 44 jobs over Action Limit with respect to 1981 NIOSH guidelines. This might in part be explained by the ergonomic conditions of the company analysed generally being good, with a relatively low duration of 'combined' extreme work posture. The relationship between psychosocial factors and low back injury was examined in the second part of the study. It has recently been recognized that overall reaction to working conditions was influenced by a range of factors, some of which were physical and some psychosocial. The psychosocial environment surrounding the work place may contribute to the perception of risk and eventual ill-health. A battery of questionnaires concerning the psychosocial stress based on PWI(Psychosocial Well-being Index) and musculoskeletal pain symptoms at low back was completed by 246 workers at the same plant. Results showed that 207 out 246 workers experienced the symptoms and 27 workers were diagnosed as patients. Two groups(low stressed, high stressed) based on PWI score had no significant relationships with both symptoms and results of diagnosis. However, sensitivities for symptoms and diagnosis by PWI were 91.3% and 92.6% respectively. Finally, relationships between physical work load and psychosocial stress were analysed. Specifically, some postural factors {vertical deviation angle of forearm, horizontal deviation angle of upperarm, vertical deviation angle of thigh, etc) were highly correlated with psychosocial stress. The results illustrated that PWI scores were associated with some physical workloads. However, psychosocial stress levels couldn't be well related with the pain symptom as well as the actual incidence of low back injury since pain or discomfort regarding low back injury were more complex than that of other musculoskeletal disorders.

자동차부품기업의 UML기반 자재관리시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of UML-Based Material Management System for Automotive Part Company)

  • One of the important applications in Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems is the Manufacturing Resource Planning(MRPII) system using Bill of Material(BOM). The manufacturing resource planning determines the quantity and timing of the production or purchase of subassemblies and raw materials needed to support the Master Production Scheduling(MPS). The bill of material is the recipe, a list of the materials needed to make a product. This paper intends to suggest a component-based materials management system using Unified Modeling Language(UML), as an application system for automobile part industry. Applying component based materials management systems designed with UML methodology, we analyzed the workflow and the document on materials management process from production planning to inventory management, and implemented a prototype of efficient materials management system, as a surrogate of existing material requirement planning(MRPI) system. To produce many other assemblies for a automobile part firm, component parts are assembled into subassemblies that are joined to assemble the finished product. Through the system suggested in this study, the level of inventory has cut down and the cost of inventory management has decreased. Also, the development method using UML makes the analysis and design phase to shorten in implementation period of MRPII system. The implementation of materials management system using CBD shows the ease of use in software reuse and the interoperability with corporate Internal information system. The result of applying object-oriented CBD technique is to minimize the risk of life cycle and facilitate the reuse of software as mentioned to limitation of information engineering methodology.
