  • Under the sudden change of competitive environment, the economic cooperation as a part of survival strategy is being a big issue among countries. There was much discussion based on the geological adjacency as well as cultural homogeneity regarding the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China, Japan. It has been also known that major trade countries of the world concluded the treaty of region trade, then extended the number of export, and drew a success in foreign direct investment. Resent automobile industry is being ran by the center of America, Europe and Japan. Korea only has a successful experience of restoration of automobile industry in the half of a century after his beginning. It is true that China is trying to do best to raise his automobile industry. Also Japan is a leading automobile country guiding automobile industry all over the world. It can be considered that Korea will play a major role in the three countries' automobile industry based on Japanese demonstrated technology, Chinese resources, market and experience with their economic cooperation. Therefore it is expected that a big result will be achieved throughout such a role play of each country. This paper has a purpose to light up the distinctive quality and the present condition of each country in automobile Industry, and to promote the foundation of three countries' economic cooperation. It is convinced that the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China and Japan in automobile industry, will play a great role in the world automobile market.

중국 자동차 산업의 기술혁신, 성장전략 및 산업정책의 시사점 (Implication from Technology Innovation, Growth Strategy and Industrial Policy of Chinese Automobile Industry)

  • Since 2009, China has become biggest automobile supplier and consumer all over the world. Chinese government and automobile firms have been executed strategic and aggressive industry policy and business strategy for nurturing automobile industry as a core manufacturing industry. However, can we assure that all of these policy and strategy have positive effect on Chinese automobile industry? For fulfilling this gab, our research examined the government policy and firm's strategy in different development stage of Chinese automobile industry. According to research result, at initial stage(1983-1996), Chinese automobile industry has grown by technological learning and reverse engineering from Soviet Union, Japan and Germany. In rapid growing stage(1996-2009), Chinese automobile firms have succeed to develop and produce own brand product with 100% own technology. And this kind of quantum jump in technology development was conducted by joint venture policy and M&A strategy. However, at the fourth stage(2010-), Chinese government and firms have over invested and focused on Electric Vehicle manufacturing without developing core technology or SW. Overall, the old-fashioned policy and strategy module in manufacturing industry of China could have negative effect on its industry development.

자동차부품제조업의 부도 위험 수준 예측 연구 (Bankruptcy Risk Level Forecasting Research for Automobile Parts Manufacturing Industry)

  • In this paper, we report bankruptcy risk level forecasting result for automobile parts manufacturing industry. With the premise that upstream supply risk and downstream demand risk could impact on automobile parts industry bankruptcy level in advance, we draw upon industry input-output table to use the economic indicators which could reflect the extent of supply and demand risk of the automobile parts industry. To verify the validity of each economic indicator, we applied simple linear regression for each indicators by varying the time lag from one month (t-1) to 12 months (t-12). Finally, with the valid indicators obtained through the simple regressions, the composition of valid economic indicators are derived using stepwise linear regression. Using the monthly automobile parts industry bankruptcy frequency data accumulated during the 5 years, R-square values of the stepwise linear regression results are 68.7%, 91.5%, 85.3% for the 3, 6, 9 months time lag cases each respectively. The computational testing results verifies the effectiveness of our approach in forecasting bankruptcy risk forecasting of the automobile parts industry.

한국의 FTA 전략이 한일자동차산업에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Impact that KOREAN FTA influences the Industry of Korean & Japanese Automobile)

  • As the development of information and globalization of world economy enters new condition, the stake of every nation's makes more complwx, and multilateral negotiation lead by WTO is seriously delayed. But the number of agreement about FTA increase exponentially. In this study we aim to consider whether Korean FTA affects the relation of the trade of Korea and Japan or not, especially Automobile industry. The composition of this paper is as follows. Chap. 1 is Introduction. In Chap. 2, we consider the change of the Trade Policy of Korea focusing in FTA. In Chap. 3, we consider how Korean FTA affect the structure of Japan's Trade, especially the automobile industry of Korea and Japan. In Chap. 4, we have conclusion. As the conclusion, the impact to the automobile industry of Korea and Japan is that Korean FTA works to Korean automobile industry advantageously in micro level, but in macro level, the competition of world automobile industry move into a next generation technology market.

  • This study is concentration on our automobile industry past and future. A core contents are changing industry society with our automobile industry side by side worldwide global strategy. First, I owe to Lee Chul prof.(Sogang Univ.) and Chung Tae Young prof.(Hongik Univ.), Because, I have been studied International Trade throughout above two profs. I knowed after I write two important points, first past our automobile industry passing with present ones, and future our foreign entry strategy side by side worldwide global complex reallities. Powerfully speaking, Hyundai-Kia sources offered to me, according to I must thank interested with parties belong to institutes. I now looking forward to future our automobile circled Hyundai-Kia Co. for pure independent own technical skill overcome U.S.A, EU and JAPAN.

  • Purpose The development of new products in automobile parts industry plays an important role. Nowadays, automobile industry is one of the most important industries in the world, because automobile industry includes the industries of steel, machinery, electronic, etc. As a result, automobile industry embodies a country's level of development and competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between team characteristics such as communication, familiarity, and contiguity, and team performance through TMS in the process of new products development in automobile parts industry. Design/Methodology/Approach Based on real phenomenon of Korean automobile parts industry, this study tried to figure out the influence of TMS between team members for new product development on team performance. Thus, this study adopts communication, familiarity and contiguity as antecedents, and TMS with specialty, credibility and coordination as a mediating variable, and adopts team performance as a dependent variable. The data of questionnaire were collected from team managers who belong to new product development team in automobile parts firms. 171 questionnaires as data unit of group level from 80 Korean automobile parts firms were collected using face-to-face interview methods. Findings This study proved empirically that the relationship between antecedents and TMS has a positive influence, and TMS also has a positive influence on team performance. This study provides the managers an insight that automobile parts companies should pay more attention to set up TMS in order to improve higher performance between their team members for new product development of automobile parts.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 일본자동차산업의 부품조달 B2B 전자상거래가 어떻게 구축되어 운용되고 있으며, 일본자동차산업의 부품조달 구매활동에 어떠한 영향을 가져왔는지를 자동차메이커의 사례를 중심으로 고찰하는 것이다. 일본자동차산업의 부품조달 B2B전자상거래의 특징은 초기의 상업용 VAN을 이용한 폐쇄형시스템에서 점차적으로 JNX와 같은 개방형 정보시스템으로 진전되어 왔으며, 기업의 특성에 따라 이전의 상업용 VAN이 JNX와 혼용되고 있음을 파악할 수가 있었다. 향후 일본 자동차산업의 부품조달 B2B 전자상거래는 자동차메이커의 모기업들을 중심으로 인터넷을 이용한 부품조달이 더 활발하게 거래될 것이다. 일본자동차산업의 부품조달 B2B 전자상거래의 개선방안으로서 본 논문은 e-마켓플레이스의 활성화, IT와 비즈니스프로세스의 개혁, 소규모 부품조달업체로의 B2B 전자상거래의 확대 등을 제시하였다.

Models and Methods for the Evaluation of Automobile Manufacturing Supply Chain Coordination Degree Based on Collaborative Entropy

  • Through the analysis of the coordination mechanism of the supply chain system of China's automobile manufacturing industry, the factors affecting the supply subsystem, the manufacturing subsystem, the sales subsystem, and the consumption subsystem are sorted out, the supply chain coordination index system based on the influence factor of four subsystems is established. The evaluation models of the coordination degree in the subsystem of the supply chain, the coordination degree among the subsystems, and the comprehensive coordination degree are established by using the efficiency coefficient method and the collaborative entropy method. Experimental results verify the accuracy of the evaluation model using the empirical analysis of the collaborative evaluation index data of China's automobile manufacturing industry from 2000 to 2019. The supply chain synergy of automobile manufacturing industry was low from 2001 to 2005, and it increased to a certain extent from 2006 to 2008 with a small growth rate from 0.10 to 0.15. From 2009 to 2013, the supply chain synergy of automobile manufacturing industry increased rapidly from 0.24 to 0.49, and it also increased rapidly but fluctuated from 2014 to 2019, first rising from 0.68 to 0.84 then dropping to 0.71. These results provide reference for the development of China's automobile manufacturing supply chain system and scientific decision-making basis for the formulation of relevant policies of the automobile manufacturing industry.

  • This study aims at the introduction to the recall system and its defence strategies for the automobile industry according to the rights and interests protection for consumers, the trade pressure solution of the United States and government's will for the self-certification. Therefore, I make the following proposal in view of the low technological level of Korea's automobile industry, the imperfect means of recall system, the insufficiency of the social recognition and the worst management condition under the IMF system : First, introduction to three steps for self-certification in case of changing the present pype-approval system into the self-certification and its overall operation after 2003. Second, the defence plan of the automobile industry after analyzing the problems coming from the domestic automobile industry.

  • In this paper, it was performed to protect the remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part and grasp the latest tendency of remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part for development of remanufacturing technology and economical support of government. Research on the present statue of the remanufacturing industry was indicated that the number of remanufacture enterprises about automobile part, the annual, the number of employee in remanufacture and the type of remanufacturing. The general problems were presented which blocked the activities of domestic automobile part. It was also presented that problem of remanufacturing technology side and quality assurance of remanufactured automobile part and found out solution.
